Search

A necessary condition for the probabilities of a set of events to exhibit Bell nonlocality or Kochen-Specker contextuality is that the graph of exclusivity of the events contains induced odd cycles with five or more vertices, called odd holes, or their complements, called odd antiholes. From this perspective, events whose graph of exclusivity are odd holes or antiholes are the building blocks of contextuality. For any odd hole or antihole, any assignment of probabilities allowed by quantum theory can be achieved in specific contextuality scenarios. However, here we prove that, for any odd hole, the probabilities that attain the quantum maxima cannot be achieved in Bell scenarios. We also prove it for the simplest odd antiholes. This leads us to the conjecture that the quantum maxima for any of the building blocks cannot be achieved in Bell scenarios. This result sheds light on why the problem of whether a probability assignment is quantum is decidable, while whether a probability assignment within a given Bell scenario is quantum is, in general, undecidable. This also helps to understand why identifying principles for quantum correlations is simpler when we start by identifying principles for quantum sets of probabilities defined with no reference to specific scenarios.

• Background and Aims Flowering is a key process in the life cycle of a plant. Climate change is shifting flowering phenologies in the Northern Hemisphere, but studies with long data series at the community level are scarce, especially those considering the consequences of phenological changes for emerging ecological interactions. In the Mediterranean region, the effects of climate change are stronger than the global average and there is an urgent need to understand how biodiversity will be affected in this area. • Methods In this study, we investigated how the entire flowering phenology of a community comprising 51 perennial species from the south of the Iberian Peninsula changed from the decade of the 1980s to the 2020s. Furthermore, we have analysed the consequences of these changes for flowering order and co-flowering patterns. • Key Results We have found that the flowering phenology of the community has advanced by ~20 days, which is coherent with the increasing temperatures related to climate change. Individual species have generally advanced their entire flowering phenology (start and end) and increased their flowering duration. The early flowering has resulted in a re-organization of the flowering order of the community and generated new co-flowering assemblages of species, with a slight trend towards an increase of shared flowering time among species. • Conclusions The advanced flowering phenology and changes in flowering duration reported here were of unprecedented magnitude, showcasing the extreme effects of climate change on Mediterranean ecosystems. Furthermore, the effects were not similar among species, which could be attributed to differences in sensitivities of environmental cues for flowering. One consequence of these changes in flowering times is ecological mismatches, indicated by changes in the flowering order and co-flowering between decades. Background: Charge-exchange (CE) reactions offer a major opportunity to excite nuclear isovector modes, providing important clues about the nuclear interaction in the medium. Moreover, double charge-exchange reactions are proving to be a tempting tool to access nuclear transition matrix elements (NMEs) related to double beta-decay processes. The latter are also of crucial importance to extract neutrino properties from the half-life of the hypothetical neutrinoless double beta decay and to search for physics beyond the standard model. Purpose: Through a multichannel experimental analysis and a consistent theoretical approach of the 116 Cd ( 20 Ne , 20 F ) 116 In single charge-exchange (SCE) reaction at 306 MeV, we aim at disentangling from the experimental cross section the contribution of the competing mechanisms associated with second- or higher-order sequential transfer and/or inelastic processes. Methods: We measured excitation energy spectra and absolute cross sections for elastic + inelastic, one-proton transfer and SCE channels by using the MAGNEX large acceptance magnetic spectrometer to detect the ejectiles. For the first two channels, we also extracted the experimental cross-section angular distributions. The experimental data are compared with theoretical predictions obtained by performing two-step distorted-wave Born approximation and coupled reaction channel calculations. We employ spectroscopic amplitudes for single-particle transitions derived within a large-scale shell-model approach and different optical potentials for modeling the initial- and the final-state interactions. Results: The present study significantly mitigates the possible model dependence existing in the description of these complex reaction mechanisms thanks to the satisfactory reproduction of several channels at once. In particular, our work demonstrates that the two-step transfer mechanisms produce a non-negligible contribution to the total cross section of the 116 Cd ( 20 Ne , 20 F

Species interactions can propagate disturbances across space via direct and indirect effects, potentially connecting species at a global scale. However, ecological and biogeographic boundaries may mitigate this spread by demarcating the limits of ecological networks. We tested whether large-scale ecological boundaries (ecoregions and biomes) and human disturbance gradients increase dissimilarity among plant-frugivore networks, while accounting for background spatial and elevational gradients and differences in network sampling. We assessed network dissimilarity patterns over a broad spatial scale, using 196 quantitative avian frugivory networks (encompassing 1496 plant and 1004 bird species) distributed across 67 ecoregions, 11 biomes, and 6 continents. We show that dissimilarities in species and interaction composition, but not network structure, are greater across ecoregion and biome boundaries and along different levels of human disturbance. Our findings indicate that biogeographic boundaries delineate the world’s biodiversity of interactions and likely contribute to mitigating the propagation of disturbances at large spatial scales.

The 8 Li + 58Ni collision is investigated at 23.9, 26.1, 28.7, and 30 MeV bombarding energies. Quasielastic angular distributions and the singles 7 Li angular and energy distributions are presented. Coupled-reaction channels (CRC) calculations, which include the coupling of the elastic channel to 59Ni = 58Ni + n states above and below the neutron threshold, provide a simultaneous description of the quasielastic and transfer distributions and evidence the strong effect of the one-neutron transfer/breakup channels on the quasielastic scattering. The 7 Li angular and energy distributions have been also successfully analyzed combining the continuum discretized coupled channels (CDCC) method, for the elastic breakup, and the IAV model of Ichimura, Austern, and Vincent [Phys. Rev. C 32, 431 (1985)], for the nonelastic breakup. These calculations indicate that most of the 7 Li yields are due to nonelastic breakup contributions (transfer), whereas elastic breakup plays a minor role.

Elastic scattering and breakup angular distributions of the weakly bound radioactive nucleus 8 B on a 208Pb target at an incident energy of 238 MeV, which corresponds to four times the Coulomb barrier, have been measured at the HIRFL-RIBLL facility (Institute of Modern Physics, Lanzhou). The data have been analyzed using the optical model and the continuum discretized coupled channels (CDCC) formalism. The measured and calculated elastic scattering angular distributions do not show any significant Coulomb rainbow suppression. The angular distribution for the breakup reaction was measured for the first time at this energy. The angular distribution of the 7 Be fragments could be reproduced considering elastic plus nonelastic breakup contributions, with the former evaluated with the CDCC calculations and the latter with the model of Ichimura, Austern, and Vincent [Phys. Rev. C 32, 431 (1985)]. The comparison of the breakup cross section of 8 B with that of 11Be suggests that the Coulomb and centrifugal barriers encountered by the valence proton may suppress the breakup cross section.

The Ros3 protein is a component of the MT-Ros3 transporter complex, considered as the main route of miltefosine entry in Leishmania. L. braziliensis clinical isolates presenting differences in miltefosine susceptibility and uptake were previously shown to differentially express ros3. In this work, we showed that the ros3 gene copy number was increased in the isolate presenting the highest rates of miltefosine uptake and, thus, the highest susceptibility to this drug. The role of the ros3 gene dosage in miltefosine susceptibility was then investigated through a modulation of the gene copy number using two distinct approaches: through an overexpression of ros3 in a tolerant L. braziliensis clinical isolate and in L. major and by generating mono- and diallelic knockouts of this gene in L. major using clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR) Cas9 (Cas = CRISPR-associated). Although the levels of ros3 mRNA were increased at least 40-fold in overexpressing clones, no significant reduction in the half-maximal effective concentration (EC50) for miltefosine was observed in these parasites. The partial or complete deletion of ros3 in L. major, in turn, resulted in a significant increase of 3 and 20 times, respectively, in the EC50 to miltefosine. We unequivocally showed that the ros3 copy number is one of the factors involved in the differential susceptibility and uptake of miltefosine.

Background: Reactions involving exotic and stable weakly bound nuclei have been extensively studied in recent years. Although several models have been successfully used to explain particular reaction outcomes, the answers to many questions remain elusive. In previous works, we presented elastic, inelastic, and transfer angular distributions for the 10B + 120Sn system measured at ELab = 31.5, 33.0, 35.0, and 37.5 MeV. The data set was analyzed through coupled reaction channels calculations in the context of the double-folding São Paulo potential. Purpose: We investigate nuclear reaction mechanisms for systems involving weakly bound projectiles. Method: Angular distributions for several nuclear reaction processes were measured for the 10B + 120Sn system at ELab = 39.70 MeV. Results: The new data set involves angular distributions for elastic scattering, projectile and target inelastic excitations, one-neutron pickup transfer, one-proton stripping transfer, deuteron pickup transfer, and 3,4 He stripping transfer. We have also observed 10Be nuclei. The effect of the couplings to some nonelastic states on the angular distributions is discussed. Conclusion: The theoretical calculations within the coupled reaction channels formalism provide an overall good agreement with the corresponding inelastic, one-neutron stripping, one-proton pickup, one-deuteron pickup, and 3 He stripping transfer data. However, to improve the description of the elastic scattering angular distribution, the inclusion of additional channels in the coupling scheme might be necessary.

Resumo: A escritora Marguerite Duras (1914-1996) publicou, em 1985, A dor, livro que reúne uma série de textos elaborados a partir de anotações em cadernos e diários, incluindo texto homônimo ao livro. Nessa narrativa em específico, é possível reconhecer uma forte carga autobiográfica no relato da espera pelo marido feito prisioneiro durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Tal acontecimento acometeu justamente a escritora na década de 1940, quando seu marido naquela época, Robert Antelme, fora levado pelas forças alemãs a campos de trabalho forçado e de extermínio. Posteriormente, os textos originais, isto é, os próprios cadernos de Duras, foram organizados e publicados em novo livro, intitulado Cadernos de guerra e outros textos, algo que possibilitou uma nova abordagem à sua leitura. Sendo assim, e tendo em vista essa última publicação em que constam os diários da escritora – algo que nos permite comparar um texto a partir de suportes distintos –, a intenção desse artigo é explorar os caminhos percorridos por Duras entre a versão registrada em seus diários e a versão publicada em livro. O objetivo principal é investigar como a ideia de escrita de si passa a ganhar ressignificações quando confrontada com um novo processo de ficcionalização e publicação da escrita autobiográfica, o qual chamaremos, enfim, de escrita literária de si. Global sustainability rests on a myriad of benefits provided by natural ecosystems that support human livelihoods and well-being, from biodiversity persistence to climate regulation. The undeniable importance of conserving tropical forests has drawn most of the conservation spotlight towards it. However, open ecosystems such as the Brazilian Campo Rupestre (rupestrian grassland), have been historically overlooked despite their high diversity and key associated ecosystem services. We highlight major current threats to the persistence of the Campo Rupestre emphasizing its ecological, social, cultural, geo-environmental, and economic importance. We call attention to the importance of the Campo Rupestre as a reservoir of biodiversity and ecosystem services and offer priority actions that resulted from discussions involving scientists, industry representatives, environmental managers, and other members of civil society. Proposed actions include efforts related to ecological restoration, sustainable ecotourism, protection of traditional ecological knowledge, identification of emerging research questions, and development of tailored public policies. Such issues are integrated into a framework that collectively represents a road map to safeguard the Campo Rupestre from further degradation and steer its historical overexploitation towards sustainable management. Safeguarding the future of non-forest biomes like this poses a challenge to current paradigms of nature conservation. By establishing priorities and guidelines, we propose an actionable plan, which we hope can support informed decision-making policy towards a sustainable use of the Campo Rupestre.

The passion for equality, which is the first and most intense passion of a democratic people, may prompt them to exchange liberty for despotism, in so far as they are willing to surrender themselves entirely to the search of material goods and self-interest, and to resign their power of judgment for the sake of the opinion of the majority, which is the real source of authority in such a social state. Taking this fragile balance between liberty and equality into account, this paper aims the consideration of American customs which allows Tocqueville to postulate a social theory (not a description of this society), the doctrine of interest properly understood, which may link analytically virtue and interest and instruct democratic societies.

A formação de sujeitos mais críticos para atuar no mundo contemporâneo parece demandar outra forma de encarar o ensino de ciências, seja do ponto de vista das estratégias propostas, da necessidade de delinear a(o) cidadã(o) a ser formado ou da própria linguagem da ciência. Esses aspectos tornam-se essenciais do ponto de vista de uma educação científica escolar que vai além das aulas deterministas, pautadas exclusivamente nos livros textos e na ausência de interações dialógicas. Para nós, encarar essa formação requer considerar aspectos da complexidade enquanto elementos organizadores do pensamento e das ações propostas na escola. Nessa perspectiva, esse artigo investiga e propõe alguns elementos que possibilitam o trabalho em sala de aula a partir do assunto entropia, tomando-o como a porta de entrada da complexidade nas aulas de ciências do ensino médio, especialmente de física. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa se desenvolve a partir de estudos dos livros didáticos e de aspectos da complexidade visando identificar os espaços de inserção no currículo; proposição de um conjunto de aulas mais abertas e dinâmicas; e análise de algumas considerações dos(as) estudantes envolvidos(as). Dos resultados, notam-se que os espaços encontrados, ainda que limitados, apresentam possibilidades de trabalho a partir de assuntos relacionados ao meio ambiente e termodinâmica, tais como o tratamento da poluição com foco no aumento da entropia e sua irreversibilidade; e o olhar da termodinâmica acerca da sustentabilidade, consumo, riscos e princípio da precaução. Também foi possível notar que os(as) estudantes resgatam em seus discursos, em menor ou maior grau, os conceitos desenvolvidos na proposta de aulas e trazem à tona questões que permeiam outras áreas do conhecimento, rompendo, assim, com o ensino fragmentado e estritamente disciplinar., La formación de sujetos más críticos para actuar en el mundo contemporáneo parece exigir otra forma de afrontar la enseñanza de las ciencias, ya sea desde el punto de vista de las estrategias propuestas, desde la necesidad de delinear al ciudadano que se formará o desde el propio lenguaje de la ciencia. Estos aspectos se vuelven esenciales desde el punto de vista de una educación científica escolar que va más allá de las clases tradicionales, basadas exclusivamente en libros de texto y en la ausencia de interacciones dialógicas. Para nosotros, enfrentar esta formación requiere de considerar la complejidad como elementos de organización del pensamiento y de las acciones propuestas en la escuela. Desde esta perspectiva, este artículo investiga y propone algunos elementos que permiten el trabajo en el aula desde del concepto de entropía, como puerta de entrada de la complejidad en las clases de ciencias de bachillerato, especialmente en física. Metodológicamente, la investigación se centra en el análisis de libros de texto para identificar los espacios de inserción en el currículo de aspectos relacionados con la complejidad; diseño de una propuesta de clases más abiertas y dinámicas; y el análisis de algunas consideraciones de los estudiantes involucrados. A partir de los resultados, se observa que los espacios encontrados, aunque limitados, presentan posibilidades de trabajo a partir de temas relacionados con el medio ambiente y la termodinámica, como el tratamiento de la contaminación con foco en el aumento de la entropía y su irreversibilidad; y la mirada de la termodinámica sobre la sostenibilidad, el consumo, los riesgos y el principio de precaución. También se pudo constatar que los alumnos rescatan en sus discursos, en mayor o menor medida, los conceptos desarrollados en la intervención y sacan a la luz cuestiones que impregnan otras áreas del conocimiento, rompiendo así con la enseñanza fragmentada y estrictamente disciplinaria., The formation of more critical subjects to act in the contemporary world seems to demand another way of facing the teaching of sciences, either from the point of view of the proposed strategies, from the need to delineate the citizen to be formed or from the language itself of science. These aspects become essential from the point of view of a school scientific education that goes beyond the deterministic classes, based exclusively on textbooks and in the absence of dialogical interactions. For us, facing this training requires considering aspects of complexity as organizing elements of the thought and actions proposed in the school. In this perspective, this article investigates and proposes some elements that allow the work in the classroom from the subject entropy, taking it as the gateway to complexity in high school science classes, especially physics. Methodologically, the research develops from studies of textbooks and aspects of complexity in order to identify the spaces of insertion in the curriculum; proposition of a set of more open and dynamic classes; and analysis of some considerations of the students involved. From the results, it can be observed that the spaces found, although limited, present possibilities of work from subjects related to the environment and thermodynamics, such as the treatment of the pollution with focus on the increase of the entropy and its irreversibility; and the look of thermodynamics about sustainability, consumption, risks and the precautionary principle. It was also possible to note that the students rescued in their speeches, to a lesser or greater degree, the concepts developed in the class proposal and bring up issues that permeate other areas of knowledge, thus breaking with the fragmented teaching and strictly disciplinary, La formation de sujets plus critiques pour agir dans le monde contemporain semble exiger une autre façon de faire face à l'enseignement des sciences, du point de vue des stratégies proposées, de la nécessité de définir le citoyen à former ou la langue elle-même de la science. Ces aspects deviennent essentiels du point de vue d’une éducation scientifique scolaire dépassant le cadre des classes déterministes, reposant exclusivement sur des manuels scolaires et en l’absence d’interactions dialogiques. Pour nous, faire face à cette formation nécessite de considérer les aspects de complexité comme des éléments organisateurs de la pensée et des actions proposées dans l'école. Dans cette perspective, cet article étudie et propose certains éléments qui permettent de travailler en classe à partir de l'entropie du sujet, en le considérant comme une passerelle vers la complexité dans les cours de sciences au lycée, en particulier la physique. Méthodologiquement, la recherche se développe à partir d’études de manuels et d’aspects de complexité afin d’identifier les espaces d’insertion dans le curriculum; proposition d'un ensemble de classes plus ouvertes et dynamiques; et l'analyse de certaines considérations des étudiants impliqués. Les résultats montrent que les espaces trouvés, bien que limités, offrent des possibilités de travail sur des sujets liés à l'environnement et à la thermodynamique, tels que le traitement de la pollution en mettant l'accent sur l'augmentation de l'entropie et son irréversibilité; et l'aspect de la thermodynamique concernant la durabilité, la consommation, les risques et le principe de précaution. Il a également été possible de noter que les étudiants ont sauvé dans leurs discours, à un degré moindre ou plus important, les concepts développés dans la proposition de classe et soulevaient des problèmes qui imprègnent d’autres domaines de la connaissance, rompant ainsi avec l’enseignement fragmenté et strictement disciplinaire.

Elastic scattering and transfer cross sections for the 7 Be + 9 Be system have been measured at E lab = 23.1 MeV using the 7 Be radioactive secondary beam produced at Radioactive Ion Beams in Brazil facility at the University of São Paulo. The elastic scattering has been measured by detecting the 7 Be scattered at forward angles in the laboratory system. The transfer reaction 9 Be ( 7 Be , 9 Be ) 7 Be was identified by detecting the 9 Be scattered at the same laboratory angles. The elastic angular distribution has been analyzed by optical model calculations using a Woods-Saxon form factor whose parameters have been varied to best reproduce the experimental data at forward angles. Coupled reaction channels calculations (CRC) have been performed to describe the transfer, considering the coupling to the transfer channel and including contributions to the ground state and to the first excited state of 7 Be ( 1 / 2 − ; 429 keV ) in the final state. The spectroscopic amplitudes used in the CRC calculation have been derived from shell-model calculations. Similar CRC calculations were applied to existing 9 Be ( p , t ) 7 Be data to check the consistency of our results results for the ( 7 Be , 9 Be ) transfer reaction.

Resumo: A moda, com sua própria linguagem, transmite a identidade de um indivíduo e/ou grupo em determinada sociedade e época, portanto, pode ser entendida como forma de comunicação entre o sujeito e o mundo que o cerca. Nesta pesquisa, propõe-se o estudo do léxico da moda do século XIX no Brasil baseado nas teorias da Lexicologia e na Moda; fazendo uma análise sobre os itens lexicais que se refiram às vestimentas encontradas em Memórias póstumas de Brás Cubas, de Machado de Assis (1994) e Lucíola, de José de Alencar (1988). Os resultados das reflexões permitem a compreensão da dinâmica social da sociedade da época e do estabelecimento da língua portuguesa brasileira independente da variedade continental.Palavras-chave: léxico; moda; literatura; século XIX.Abstract: Fashion, with its own language, establishes a group identity within the society and the period in which it is set. Moreover, it is a way of communication between an individual and the world around them. This research aims at the study of the lexicon of nineteenth-century fashion in Brazil, based on the theories of Lexicology and Fashion, on a collection of lexical items referring to clothes found in Memórias póstumas de Brás Cubas (The Posthumous Memoirs of Bras Cubas), Machado de Assis (1994), and Lucíola, José de Alencar (1988). The results of the reflection leave room for understanding of the social dynamics of the society of the time and of the establishment of the Brazilian Portuguese language independent from the continental variety.Keywords: lexicon; fashion; literature; 19th century.

In this work we present an elastic scattering angular distribution for the 8Li+58Ni system measured at Elab = 26.1 MeV. The 8Li beam was produced in the Radioactive Ion Beams in Brasil (RIBRAS) facility using the 7Li primary beam delivered by the 8-UD Pelletron accelerator. The angular distribution covers the angular range from 20 to 85 degrees in the center of mass frame. The data have been analysed by optical model and coupled channels calculations, including couplings to low-lying states in 8Li and the spin-orbit interaction. Our results indicate that the inclusion of the spin-orbit interaction in the calculations is important to describe the data at backward angles.

This work analyzed the use of electrocoagulation as substitute for sugarcane clarification process using sulfitation. It was evaluated technological parameters (Icumsa color and turbidity), phenolic compounds content and CIELAB color parameters. Four kinetics of reduction color from sugarcane juice were carried out. The essays were divided according to the voltage applied: 35, 45, 55 and 65 V (also based on previous tests). Higher voltage treatments achieved greater reduction of Icumsa color, turbidity and total phenolic compounds. However, none of treatments impacted simple phenolic content analyzed in this work. Tristimulus analysis presented some pattern that went beyond technological analysis, including that 65 V essay changed the pigmentation of sugarcane juice and had an early stabilization on chroma. This kind of results could be useful for industry, once they could correlate quality with different color parameters and finally improve the clarification in general with finer settings of technique according to different situations.

We report an experimental implementation of automated state transformations on spatial photonic qutrits following the theoretical proposal made by Baldijão et al. [Phys. Rev. A 96, 032329 (2017)]. A qutrit state is simulated by using three Gaussian beams, and after some state operations, the transformed state is available in the end in terms of the basis state. The state transformation setup uses a spatial light modulator and a calcite-based interferometer. The results reveal the usefulness of the operation method. The experimental data show a good agreement with theoretical predictions, opening possibilities for explorations in higher dimensions and in a wide range of applications. This is a necessary step in qualifying spatial photonic qudits as a competitive setup for experimental research in the implementation of quantum algorithms which demand a large number of steps.

Two new gamma spectrometer projects are under development, both with some challenging technical characteristics in common, one for the investigation of weakly bound nuclear beam reactions at near barrier energies, and the other for the measurement of double charge exchange reactions in the 15-70 MeV per nucleon range. The first one is being developed and tested at the IFUSP, and the other is going to be built and installed at the LNS, INFN, under the NUMEN collaboration. The main characteristics of the two projects are presented and discussed.

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAHs) are common soil contaminants of concern due to their toxicity toward plants, animals and microorganisms. The use of indigenous or added microbes (bioaugmentation) is commonly used for bioremediation of PAHs. In this work, the biodegradation rates and changes in the bacterial community structure were evaluated. The enrichment culture was useful for unambiguously identifying members of the soil bacterial community associated with PAH degradation and yielded a low diversity community. No significant difference in the rate of PAH degradation was observed between the microcosm receiving only PAHs or PAHs and bioaugmentation. Moreover, identical matches to the bioaugmentation inoculum were only observed at the initial stages of PAH degradation on day 8. After 22 days of incubation, the substantial degradation of all PAHs had occurred in both microcosms and the PAH contaminated soil had statistically significant increases in Alphaproteobacteria. There were also increases in Betaproteobacteria. In contrast, the PAH contaminated and bioaugmented soil was not enriched in PAH degrading Proteobacteria genera and, instead, an increase from 1.6% to 8% of the population occurred in the phylum Bacteroidetes class Flavobacteria, with Flavobacterium being the only identified genus. In addition, the newly discovered genus Ohtaekwangia increased from 0% to 3.2% of the total clones. These results indicate that the same soil microbial community can give rise to different PAH degrading consortia that are equally effective in PAH degradation efficiency. Moreover, these results suggest that the lack of efficacy of bioaugmentation in soils can be attributed to a lack of persistence of the introduced microbes, yet nonetheless may alter the microbial community that arises in response to PAH contamination in unexpected ways.

The 10 B + 197 Au reaction has been investigated through cross-section measurements for different channels, such as quasielastic and elastic scattering, inelastic excitation of low-lying 197 Au states, and one-neutron pickup and one-proton stripping transfer reactions. Experimental angular distributions were obtained for 20 bombardment energies around the Coulomb barrier: 38 ≤ E l a b ≤ 61 MeV . Coupled reaction channels calculations have been performed in the context of the double-folding São Paulo potential, and details of the data analysis are discussed along the paper. In general, the theoretical calculations provide a satisfactory description of the data.

As mulheres tem ocupado posição de destaque cada vez maior na sociedade contemporânea, com participação ativa no mercado de trabalho. As conquistas deste espaço profissional, por parte das mulheres, são fruto de uma luta antiga e ainda em curso. Partindo desta constatação e percebendo que o papel da mulher está posicionado na fronteira entre o social e o biológico, percebemos que o processo saúde-doença de trabalhadoras pode ser afetado por sérias implicações por elas não encontrarem amparo necessário para cumprir com suas funções profissionais considerando suas diferenças biológicas. Assim, o presente artigo visa refletir sobre esse processo de conquistas da mulher em relação ao mercado de trabalho e suas implicações para o processo saúde-doença e as questões de gênero.

A empresa Uber deu ensejo à formação de uma nova classe de trabalhadores, os motoristas por aplicativo. A natureza da relação dos motoristas com a empresa é controversa, tendo motivado ações trabalhistas para a discussão da existência de vínculo empregatício. Propõe-se analisar essa relação, além de seus impactos juslaborais tendentes ou não à precarização dos direitos trabalhistas. Adotou-se, como método de procedimento, a pesquisa bibliográfica e a análise de julgados; e, como método de abordagem, o dedutivo, visando verificar a existência ou não de relação de emprego, bem como aventar possíveis consequências jurídicas e sociais decorrentes desse modelo de trabalho.

The article discusses “marginal literature” produced in the outskirts of São Paulo by authors who do not “fit” into the symbolic hierarchies of the dominant literary canon. This analysis will be based on a broad overview of the tradition in Brazilian literature that has tried to represent both poverty and marginalisation. Special attention will be paid to the debate on the shift from a “dialectic of malandroism”, proposed by Antonio Candido, towards a “dialectic of marginality”. According to João Cezar de Castro Rocha, the latter involves a variety of art practices that seek to expose social conflict instead of disguising it. Then, an analytical framework on the aesthetics of marginality will be presented, while identifying to what extent literary experiences of the past have influenced the marginal literature movement. Finally, the article concludes with reflections on some strategies authors have been using to overcome prejudices towards their cultural expression, which include attempts to create new narrative forms based on the valorisation of the place of enunciation and the right to speak for themselves.

Previous studies reported benefits to growth performance, intestinal histology and reduced diarrhea for pigs supplemented with nucleotide additive as a replacement to antimicrobial growth promoters. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of nucleotide levels on performance, occurrence of diarrhea, relative weight of organs, intestinal histology, and intestinal microbiota of weanling pigs. One hundred and sixty 21-d weaned pigs (6.43 ± 0.71 kg BW) were used in a randomized complete block design experiment with five treatments, eight replications per treatment and four animals per pen (experimental unit). The treatments were basal diet with 120 ppm of chloro-hydroxyquinoline (antimicrobial), and basal diet with 0 (control), 100, 150, or 200 ppm of nucleotides. The average daily gain (ADG), average daily feed intake (ADFI), gain to feed ratio (G:F), and occurrence of diarrhea were calculated from day 1 to 14, day 14 to 34, and day 1 to 34 of the experiment. A day after the end of the experiment, one animal from each pen was slaughtered to evaluate the relative weight of organs, intestinal histology, and intestinal microbiota. From day 1-14 and day 14-34 of the experiment, performance was not affected by the treatments. For the total experimental period (day 1-34), increasing the dietary concentrations of nucleotides linearly improved the final body weight and average daily gain. Salmonella spp. was detected only in the control treatment, without affecting the other microorganisms. Pigs fed with antibiotic had a lower occurrence of diarrhea from day 1-14 compared to pigs fed with nucleotide treatments. Although increasing the occurrence of diarrhea in the first 14 days, dietary nucleotides added up to 200 ppm, improve the final body weight and average daily gain at 34 days post weaning. Nucleotides and antimicrobial not shown beneficial effects on organ weights, and intestinal histology of nursery pig, however, are able to decrease the population of Salmo, Benefícios ao desempenho zotécnico, histologia intestinal e menor incidencia de diarreia têm sido observados em suínos suplementados com nucleotídeos como alternativa aos antibióticos melhores de desempenho. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar os efeitos de níveis de nucleotídeos sobre o desempenho, ocorrência de diarreia, peso relativo de órgãos, histologia e microbiota intestinal de leitões recém-desmamados. Cento e sessenta leitões desmamados aos 21 dias (6,43 ± 0,71 kg) foram distribuídos em blocos casualizados com cinco tratamentos, oito repetições por tratamento e quatro animais por baia (unidade experimental). Os tratamentos foram dieta basal com 120 ppm de cloro-hidroxiquinolina (antimicrobiano) e dieta basal com 0 (controle), 100, 150 ou 200 ppm de nucleotídeos. O ganho diário de peso, o consumo diário de ração, a eficiência alimentar e a ocorrência de diarreia foram calculadas nos períodos de 1 a 14, 14 a 34 e 1 a 34 dias de experimentação. Um dia após o final do período experimental, um animal de cada baia foi abatido para avaliar o peso relativo dos órgãos, a histologia e a microbiota intestinal. No período de 1-14 e 14-34 dias, o desempenho dos animais não foi afetado pelos tratamentos. No período total (1-34 dias), com o aumento dos níveis de nucleotídeos na dieta, houve melhora no peso final e no ganho diário de peso. Salmonella spp. foi detectada apenas no tratamento controle, sem afetar os demais micro-organismos. Leitões alimentados com o antimicrobiano apresentaram menor ocorrência de diarreia de 1-14 dias, comparados aos animais suplementados com nucleotídeos. Embora aumente a ocorrência de diarreia no primeiros 14 dias, a inclusão de até 200 ppm de nucleotídeos aumenta o peso final e o ganho diário de peso dos leitões aos 34 dias pós-desmame. Nucleotídeos e antibiótico não mostram efeitos no peso dos órgãos e na histologia intestinal de leitões na fase de creche, entretanto, podem diminuir a população de Salmonella spp. no intestino delgado.

The work analyzed the Organic Law and the Master Plan that underpin leisure policies in Brotas, SP, Brazil. The focus was on measures implemented, with special attention to management of the inter-sector coordination of leisure, one of the municipal guidelines. The document corpus included decrees, acts and ordinances, complemented by observation of daily leisure activities in that municipality. Brotas’s leisure legislation indicated balance between participatory and environmental sports leisure and tourist leisure. The latter should generate resources and staff training for the former, in order to implement policies aimed at local citizens. However, by analyzing the actions, we found a mismatch between the two emphases given to leisure. Business tourism leisure was the focus of the municipal administration, which facilitated exploratory tourism where business aimed at private and privatizing interests., El objetivo fue analizar la Ley Orgánica y el Plan Director que sustentan las políticas públicas de ocio de Brotas/SP. El foco se colocó en los puntos implementados, con especial atención a la gestión intersectorial del ocio, una de las directrices de trabajo del municipio. El corpus documental fue compuesto por decretos, actas y despachos, complementados por la observación de la cotidianidad de las actividades de ocio del municipio. La legislación para el ocio en Brotas indicaba un equilibrio entre el ocio deportivo participativo y ambiental y el ocio turístico, donde el segundo debería generar recursos y capacitación del personal para implementar políticas públicas dirigidas a los ciudadanos de Brotas. Sin embargo, al analizar las acciones identificaron una falta de correspondencia entre los dos énfasis dados al ocio. El ocio turístico de negocios fue el foco principal del ayuntamiento y en esa administración se facilitó el turismo exploratorio, donde los negocios se dirigían a intereses privados y privatistas., O objetivo foi analisar a Lei Orgânica e o Plano Diretor que sustentam as políticas públicas de lazer de Brotas/SP. O enfoque foi dado aos pontos implementados, com especial atenção à gestão da intersetorial do lazer, uma das diretrizes de trabalho do município. O corpus documental foi composto por decretos, atas e despachos, complementado pela observação do cotidiano das ações de lazer do município. As legislações para o lazer em Brotas indicavam um equilíbrio entre o lazer esportivo participativo e ambiental e o lazer turístico, sendo que o segundo deveria gerar recursos e formação de pessoal para implementar políticas públicas voltadas ao cidadão brotense. Contudo, ao analisarmos as ações, identificamos um descompasso entre as duas ênfases dadas ao lazer. O lazer turístico de negócios foi o maior foco da prefeitura e houve nessa administração a facilitação do turismo exploratório, em que os negócios se direcionavam aos interesses privados e privatistas.

O artigo pretende oferecer uma contribuição aos professores de Educação Física por meio de uma abordagem histórica do corpo, da natureza e das práticas corporais ao ar livre. O seu objetivo é analisar a história das práticas corporais ao ar livre e as relações estabelecidas ao longo do tempo com o universo escolar. A sua justificativa está atrelada à necessidade de definirmos e legitimarmos as práticas corporais ao ar livre como um conteúdo da cultura corporal passível de ser abordado pela Educação Física Escolar., This paper intends to contribute with Physical Education teachers through a historical approach on the body, nature and outdoor physical activities. It analyzes the history of outdoor physical activities and their relations with school over time. El objetivo es de analizar la historia de las prácticas corporales al aire libre y las relaciones establecidas, a lo largo del tiempo, con el universo de la escuela. Se justifica por la necesidad de definir y legitimar las prácticas corporales al aire libre como un contenido de la cultura corporal que puede ser abordado por la Educación Física escolar.

O objetivo deste estudo foi elaborar e avaliar um material didático complementar ao currículo de Educação Física do Estado de São Paulo sob a forma de blog educacional de danças folclóricas. Desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa qualitativa organizada em três etapas: análise documental do currículo em relação à dança, produção do blog e avaliação por professores. O blog foi apontado como ferramenta de formação continuada possibilitando acesso rápido e reunião de diversas mídias em um mesmo espaço virtual. Contudo, identificaram-se limitações no emprego dessa ferramenta com relação à organização dos conhecimentos da dança, à estrutura escolar e às condições do trabalho docente., The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate supplementary teaching materials to the curriculum of Physical Education of the State of São Paulo in the form of educational blog of folk dances. A qualitative survey was conducted in three steps: documentary analysis of curriculum in relation to dance, blog production, and evaluation by teachers. The blog was indicated as a continuing training tool enabling quick access and gathering various media in the same virtual space. However, limitations were identified in the use of this tool for the organization of dance knowledge, the school structure and the conditions of teaching, El objetivo del estudio fue desarrollar y evaluar un material didáctico complementario al currículo de Educación Física del Estado de São Paulo, en la forma de un blog educativo de danzas folclóricas. Fue desarrollado un estudio cualitativo en tres pasos: análisis documental en el currículo en relación a la danza; la producción del blog y evaluación por los profesores. El blog fue designado como herramienta de formación continua que permite un acceso rápido y el cumplimiento de diversos medios de comunicación en el mismo espacio virtual. Sin embargo, se identificaron las limitaciones en el uso de esta herramienta para la organización del conocimiento en la danza; la estructura de la escuela y las condiciones de enseñanza.

Os escores visuais de conformação (C), precocidade (P) e musculosidade (M) são usados para acessar indiretamente características relacionadas à terminação e composição de carcaça. Neste estudo, objetivou-se analisar como a idade da vaca ao parto (AC), idade (YA) e peso do animal ao sobreano (YW) influenciam os escores de bovinos da raça Nelore, além de estimar suas herdabilidades. Foram estimadas funções de regressão dos efeitos de AC, YA e YW sobre os escores C, P e M, após a absorção do efeito de grupo de contemporâneos (CG). As herdabilidades foram estimadas por máxima verossimilhança restrita, considerando-se quatro diferentes modelos que incluíram o efeito genético aditivo de animal como aleatório, e diferentes covariáveis (AC, YA e YW) como efeitos fixos. Nas análises de regressão, as covariáveis, tanto linear como quadrática, influenciaram significativamente os escores C, P e M. Os coeficientes de determinação dos modelos para YA e AC foram de pequena magnitude, provavelmente devido à absorção do efeito de CG. As estimativas de herdabilidade para os escores variaram de 0,13 a 0,36 para C, de 0,32 a 0,36 para P, e de 0,35 a 0,38 para M, considerando todos os modelos utilizados, indicando que C, P e M respondem à seleção direta. A classificação dos animais de acordo com seus valores genéticos, principalmente em relação a C, variou de acordo com os efeitos de ambiente incluídos nos modelos.s., The visual scores for conformation (C), precocity (P) and muscle (M) are used to indirectly assess traits related to termination and carcass composition. This study analyzes how age of dam at calving (AC), long yearling age (YA) and long yearling weight (YW) of the animal affect the scores of Nellore cattle, and estimates their heritability. Regression functions were estimated to determine the AC, YA and YW effects on C, P and M scores after the contemporary group (CG) effect being absorbed. The heritabilities were estimated by restricted maximum likelihood using four different models that included animal additive genetic effect as random and different covariates (AC, YA and YW) as fixed effects. The regression analysis showed that the covariates, either linear or quadratic, significantly influenced the scores of C, P and M. The determination coefficients of the models for YA and AC were small, probably due to the CG bias removal. The heritability estimates for the scores ranged from 0.13 to 0.36 for C; 0.32 to 0.36 for P; and, 0.35 to 0.38 for M, for all models, indicating that C, P and M respond to direct selection. The classification of animals according to their breeding values, especially in relation to C, varied according to the environmental effects included in the models.

The corn used in the production of green ears presents a higher commercialization value compared to corn grain and its demand occurs throughout the year. Due to a small specific cultivation availability and the lack of important information regarding this kind of cultivation, this work has had the objective to evaluate the agronomic characteristics and the production performance in the cultivation of corn to be harvest green in both organic and conventional systems. The experiments have been conducted in “Agência Paulista de Tecnologia dos Agronegócios- Polo Regional do Extremo Oeste”, in Andradina-SP, for two agricultural years. The experimental design adopted was in occasionals blocks with 4 repetitions. The treatments have been constituted by the combination of seven cultivate corns: AG1051, AG4051, XB7116, 20A55, BM3061, 2B587 (hybrids) e Cativerde 02 (variety) and 2 systems of organic and conventional cultivation. The organic system presented smaller development and productivity in a delayed period of time. The cultivate 2B587 must be highlighted due to its precocity and smallest height, and BM3061 for presenting corn ears with the longest length and diameter. The cultivates 2B587 and BM 3061 showed a value 14 and 9%, respectively, higher of total number of ears per hectare. The cultivates AG4051 and Cativerde 02 showed taller and less productive in both systems.The cultivates BM3061, 2B587, XB7116 and AG1051 can be recommended in both systems by being most productive in decreasing order., O milho destinado à produção de espigas verdes apresenta valor de comercialização maior que o milho grão e demanda durante todo o ano. Devido à pequena disponibilidade de cultivares específicos e a falta de informações a respeito do seu cultivo, este trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar o comportamento de cultivares de milho para ser colhido verde nos sistemas de produção orgânico e convencional. Os experimentos foram desenvolvidos no Pólo Regional do Extremo Oeste, em Andradina-SP, durante dois anos agrícolas. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados, com 4 repetições. Os tratamentos foram constituídos de 7 cultivares de milho (AG1051, AG4051, XB7116, Cativerde 02, 20A55, BM3061 e 2B587) e 2 sistemas de cultivo (orgânico e convencional). Em sistema orgânico as cultivares foram mais tardias, com menor desenvolvimento e produtividade. Destacaram-se as cultivares 2B587 pela precocidade, menor altura e boa produtividade e a cultivar BM3061 pelas características de espigas (comprimento e diâmetro), produtividade e indiferença no comportamento em relação ao sistema de cultivo. BM3061, 2B587, XB7116 e AG1051 podem ser recomendadas para os dois sistemas, por serem as mais produtivas em ordem decrescente.

Analisa como se configuram as relações entre autores e fundamentos teóricos da área de organização do conhecimento (OC) no Brasil. Para corroborar tais relações, identifica as temáticas e enfoques de maior representatividade na área. Parte de um corpus de 105 artigos selecionados da Base de Dados Referenciais de Artigos de Periódicos de Ciência da Informação (Brapci) sobre o tema entre 2003 e 2012. Utiliza o software Endnote e Excel para sistematização e análise dos resultados obtidos e o Ucinet para construção da matriz de citação e de cocitação. Identifica os autores mais producentes sobre o tema e os mais citados por estes. Conclui que a produção científica brasileira sobre OC distribui-se de maneira irregular ao longo do período analisado. Finaliza estabelecendo relações entre as correntes teóricas da área e os enfoques e temáticas predominantes no corpus. Os enfoques de pesquisa mais expressivos foram o teórico e o linguístico.

Durante e após a gestação, há cuidados capazes de prevenir a transmissão vertical (TV) do HIV. Objetivou-se analisar a experiência de familiares no cuidado à criança filha de mãe com HIV para reduzir o risco de TV, com ênfase no início dessa trajetória. Utilizaram-se abordagem qualitativa e o Interacionismo Simbólico como referencial teórico. Foram entrevistados 36 familiares cuidadores de criança com idade de até 18 meses, com diagnóstico de HIV a confirmar. Os dados foram coletados num hospital do Nordeste do Brasil, entre dezembro de 2012 e fevereiro de 2013, e examinados através da análise de conteúdo. O cuidado à criança se iniciou durante a gravidez, quando imagina-se a possibilidade dela ter HIV. Alguns cuidadores tinham experiência anterior de cuidado à criança exposta. Compreender esse início do cuidado possibilitará melhor apoiar os cuidadores ao longo da trajetória de confirmação do diagnóstico da criança.

Este estudo caracterizou as diferenças e semelhanças no repertório de habilidades sociais de crianças de 12 diferentes categorias de necessidades educativas especiais: autismo, deficiência auditiva, deficiência intelectual leve, deficiência intelectual moderada, deficiência visual, desvio fonológico, dificuldades de aprendizagem, dotação e talento, problemas de comportamento externalizantes, problemas de comportamento internalizantes, problemas de comportamento internalizantes e externalizantes e transtorno de déficit de atenção e hiperatividade. Professores de 120 alunos de escolas regulares e especiais, com idades entre seis e 14 anos, de quatro estados brasileiros, responderam ao Sistema de Avaliação de Habilidades Sociais. As crianças com TDAH, autismo, problemas de comportamento internalizantes e externalizantes e problemas de comportamento externalizantes apresentaram comparativamente menor frequência de habilidades sociais. São discutidas as necessidades de intervenção de cada categoria avaliada., En este estudio se caracterizaron las diferencias y similitudes en el repertorio de habilidades sociales de los niños, con base en doce diferentes categorías de necesidades educativas especiales: autismo, dificultades de aprendizaje, discapacidad auditiva, discapacidad intelectual leve, discapacidad intelectual moderada, discapacidad visual, problemas de conducta exteriorizados, problemas de conducta internalizados, problemas de conducta internalizados y exteriorizados, superdotación y talento, trastorno fonológico y trastorno por déficit de atención e hiperactividad. Los maestros de 120 estudiantes en las escuelas regulares y especiales, de edades comprendidas entre 6 y 14 años, de cuatro Estados brasileños, respondió las escalas del Social Skills Rating System. Los niños con TDAH, autismo, problemas de conducta interiorizados y exteriorizados, y problemas de conducta exteriorizados mostraron frecuencias comparativamente más bajas de habilidades sociales. Se discuten las necesidades de intervención de cada categoría evaluada, This study characterizes the differences and similarities in the repertoire of social skills of children from 12 different categories of special educational needs: autism, hearing impairment, mild intellectual disabilities, moderate intellectual disabilities, visual impairment, phonological disorder, learning disabilities, giftedness and talent, externalizing behavior problems, internalizing behavior problems, internalizing and externalizing behavior problems and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Teachers of 120 students in regular and special schools, aged between 6 and 14 years old, from four Brazilian states, responded to the Social Skills Rating System. Children with ADHD, autism, internalizing and externalizing behavior problems and externalizing behavior problems presented comparatively lower frequency of social skills. The intervention needs of each evaluated category are discussed.

The objective this work was to evaluate the degradation, fermentation and kinetics of passage rumen fluid en sheep fed diets containing different carbohydrate associated with the oil. Four rumen cannulated sheep were allotted in 4 x 4 latin square. The treatments consisted of diets with high neutral detergent soluble fiber and diets with high starch associated or not with 4,2% of oil. Incubation times were 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120 hours and ruminal fluid was collected at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 24 hours after feeding. Diets high neutral detergent fiber soluble resulted in greater degradation of dry matter, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber soluble and starch, and higher pH values, butyric acid production, dilution rate and ruminal recycling compared with diets high starch content. The inclusion of 4,2% oil the different carbohydrate sources had no influence on the fermentation kinetics and degradation of the fiber. High content of neutral detergent soluble fiber in the diet favors the ruminal fermentation compared to the high starch content., O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a degradabilidade, fermentação e cinética da passagem de líquido ruminal em ovinos alimentados com dietas contendo diferentes carboidratos associados ao óleo de girassol. Quatro ovinos canulados no rúmen, foram distribuídos em delineamento em quadrado latino 4 × 4. Os tratamentos consistiram de dietas com alto teor de fibra solúvel em detergente neutro ou alto teor de amido, associadas ou não a 4,2% de óleo de girassol. Os períodos de incubação foram 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72, 96 e 120 horas e o líquido ruminal foi colhido nos tempos 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 e 24 horas após alimentação. As dietas com alto teor de fibra solúvel em detergente neutro (FSDN) proporcionaram maior degradação da matéria seca, proteína bruta, fibra solúvel em detergente neutro e amido, além de maior pH ruminal, produção de ácido butírico, taxa de diluição e de reciclagem ruminal em comparação às dietas com alto teor de amido. A inclusão de 4,2% de óleo às diferentes fontes de carboidratos não teve influência sobre a fermentação, cinética ruminal e degradação da fibra. Alto teor de fibra solúvel em detergente neutro na dieta favorece a fermentação ruminal em comparação ao alto teor de amido.

Com o objetivo de verificar a freqüência sorológica anti-leptospírica em cães de Botucatu –SP com suspeita clínica e os fatores de risco para esta zoonose, bem como as possíveis alterações hematológicas e urinárias, foram coletadas amostras de sangue de 248 cães. A prova diagnóstica utilizada foi a de Soroaglutinação Microscópica (SAM), testando-se 29 sorovares de leptospiras, considerando-se reagente a partir do título ?200. Das 248 amostras testadas,17,7% (44/248) foram reagentes. Dentre os sorovares reagentes, verificou-se prevalência para: Autumnalis (20,5%); Pyrogenes (18,2%); Grippothyphosa (15,9%); Canicola (13,6%), Bratislava e Copenhageni (9,1%); Andamana (4,5%) e Djasiman (2,3%). Em relação à análise do questionário epidemiológico aplicado aos proprietários dos cães, observou-se significância estatística para as variáveis sexo, faixa etária e presença de ratos no domicílio, demonstrando-se que, pela análise de regressão logística, somente a variável sexo foi significativamente associada à presença de anticorpos anti-Leptospira. Os níveis de uréia e creatinina estiveram significativamente aumentados no grupo de animais reagentes à SAM, demonstrando o comprometimento renal nestes animais, bem como a diminuição do nível de hemoglobina., In order to determine antibodies anti-Leptospira spp. in dogs from Botucatu-SP with a clinical suspicion and the risk factors for this zoonosis, as well possible hematological and urine alterations were collected blood samples from 248 dogs. The diagnostic test performed was the Microscopic Agglutination Test with 29 serovars of leptospires. Titers were considered reagent ?200 and detected in 17.7% (44/248) of the dogs. The most frequent serovars were Autumnalis (20.5%); Pyrogenes (18.2%); Gryppothyphosa (15.9%); Canicola (13.6%); Bratislava and Copenhageni (9.1%); Andamana (4.5%) and Djasiman (2.3%). Regarding the analysis of the epidemiological questionnaire administered to owners of the dogs, there was statistical significance for sex, age and presence of rats at home, showing that, by logistic regression analysis, only the sex variable was been significantly associated to the presence of antibodies anti-Leptospira. The levels of urea and creatinine were significantly increased in the group of animals reagents to the Microscopic Agglutination Test, showing the renal damage in these animals and decreased hemoglobin level.

This study characterizes the differences and similarities in the repertoire of social skills of children from 12 different categories of special educational needs: autism, hearing impairment, mild intellectual disabilities, moderate intellectual disabilities, visual impairment, phonological disorder, learning disabilities, giftedness and talent, externalizing behavior problems, internalizing behavior problems, internalizing and externalizing behavior problems and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Teachers of 120 students in regular and special schools, aged between 6 and 14 years old, from four Brazilian states, responded to the Social Skills Rating System. Children with ADHD, autism, internalizing and externalizing behavior problems and externalizing behavior problems presented comparatively lower frequency of social skills. The intervention needs of each evaluated category are discussed., En este estudio se caracterizaron las diferencias y similitudes en el repertorio de habilidades sociales de los niños, con base en doce diferentes categorías de necesidades educativas especiales: autismo, dificultades de aprendizaje, discapacidad auditiva, discapacidad intelectual leve, discapacidad intelectual moderada, discapacidad visual, problemas de conducta exteriorizados, problemas de conducta internalizados, problemas de conducta internalizados y exteriorizados, superdotación y talento, trastorno fonológico y trastorno por déficit de atención e hiperactividad. Los maestros de 120 estudiantes en las escuelas regulares y especiales, de edades comprendidas entre 6 y 14 años, de cuatro Estados brasileños, respondió las escalas del Social Skills Rating System. Los niños con TDAH, autismo, problemas de conducta interiorizados y exteriorizados, y problemas de conducta exteriorizados mostraron frecuencias comparativamente más bajas de habilidades sociales. Se discuten las necesidades de intervención de cada categoría evaluada, Este estudo caracterizou as diferenças e semelhanças no repertório de habilidades sociais de crianças de 12 diferentes categorias de necessidades educativas especiais: autismo, deficiência auditiva, deficiência intelectual leve, deficiência intelectual moderada, deficiência visual, desvio fonológico, dificuldades de aprendizagem, dotação e talento, problemas de comportamento externalizantes, problemas de comportamento internalizantes, problemas de comportamento internalizantes e externalizantes e transtorno de déficit de atenção e hiperatividade. Professores de 120 alunos de escolas regulares e especiais, com idades entre seis e 14 anos, de quatro estados brasileiros, responderam ao Sistema de Avaliação de Habilidades Sociais. As crianças com TDAH, autismo, problemas de comportamento internalizantes e externalizantes e problemas de comportamento externalizantes apresentaram comparativamente menor frequência de habilidades sociais. São discutidas as necessidades de intervenção de cada categoria avaliada.

Como puérpera e recém-nascido são considerados vulneráveis, ao retornar da maternidade para o espaço familiar, a nova mãe se vê diante de situações que sofrem interferência de seu contexto de vida. Este estudo de abordagem qualitativa teve o objetivo de verificar as práticas de cuidado do recém-nascido advindas do contexto de vida da puérpera usuária de uma Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) na cidade de Rio Claro, SP. Empregou-se o Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo como método de tratamento dos dados. Estes foram coletados por meio de entrevista gravada, realizada com 20 puérperas, em 2011. Verificou-se que as entrevistadas eram jovens, e a maioria concluiu o ensino médio. Os relatos mostraram que as mulheres modificaram a alimentação e os cuidados com a própria beleza por conta do recém-nascido. Os dados mostraram também práticas de benzimento, cuidados com o coto umbilical e com as roupas do bebê, além da identificação de seus provedores de cuidados. Conclui-se que, no puerpério, as práticas de cuidado materno são influenciadas por crenças presentes no contexto da mulher e almejam atender a demanda pelo bem-estar do recém-nascido, fato que merece atenção do profissional de saúde.

The pollen spectrum of propolis is a good indicative of the phytogeographical origin of the bee product and the local flora available for bee visiting. The present study aimed to perform pollen analysis of propolis produced by Apis mellifera L., in the São Paulo State, Brazil. Propolis samples were directly obtained from beekeepers and slides were prepared for qualitative and quantitative analysis of pollen after propolis extraction. According to the results twenty-eight types of pollen were found and distributed in fifteen botanical families. Pollens from Mimosoideae and Myrtaceae types were found in all samples. In São Paulo State, there is a wide variety of vegetal sources which are components of the final propolis composition.

The harvest is one of the main steps in the production process of soybean seeds. The right time to harvesting can vary depending on the type of harvest and seeds moisture content. The goal of this research was to determine alterations in soybean seeds physiological, harvested with different levels of seed moisture content, by hand and mechanically. The soybean seeds were from cultivars Embrapa 48 and FTS Águia, which have differences in seed coat lignin content, harvested by hand and mechanically with the moisture contents of 18.0, 15.0 and 12.0%. After harvest, the seeds were submitted to drying, and the seed quality was evaluated by germination, seedling emergence, tetrazolium (viability and vigor), accelerated aging tests and seedling speed of emergence. Then, seeds were kept in storage conditions (20 °C and 45% RU) and analyzed soon after the harvest and at six months of storage. The results indicated that seed physiological potential, is not affected, when: harvested by hand with seeds moisture content of 11.4% to 18.4%; and for seeds harvested mechanically, with moisture content between 12.0% to 15.9%; maintaining physiological quality, even after the storage period., A colheita é uma das principais etapas no processo de produção de sementes de soja. O momento adequado para se efetuar a colheita pode variar em função do tipo de colheita e do grau de umidade das sementes. Neste sentido, o objetivo dessa pesquisa foi determinar as alterações fisiológicas de sementes de soja colhidas de forma manual e mecânica com diferentes teores de água. Para tanto, utilizaram-se sementes das cultivares Embrapa 48 e FTS Águia, que têm diferenças no teor de lignina do tegumento, colhidas de forma manual e mecanicamente com 18,0; 15,0 e 12,0% de água. Após a colheita, as sementes foram submetidas à secagem, e a qualidade das sementes foi avaliada pelos testes de germinação, emergência de plântulas, tetrazólio (viabilidade e vigor), envelhecimento acelerado e índice de velocidade de emergência de plântula. Em seguida, as sementes foram armazenadas (20 °C e 45% UR do ar) e analisadas logo após a colheita e aos seis meses de armazenamento. Os resultados obtidos indicam que o parâmetro fisiológico das sementes de soja, não é afetado, quando: se realiza colheita manual com grau de umidade das sementes de 11,4% a 18,4%; e para sementes colhidas à máquina, com grau de umidade entre 12,0% a 15,9%; mantendo a qualidade fisiológica mesmo após seis meses de armazenamento.

Neste artigo procuro expor o modo de funcionamento de uma nova tecnologia de cuidado colocada em prática pelos profissionais do Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS) Esperança, na região leste de Campinas - SP. Para isso, apresento as reflexões dos profissionais acerca de suas práticas e descrevo as relações democráticas que orientam a atuação do profissional na invenção de cuidados, que não se resumem às intervenções médicas. Além disso, analiso como se configura a dinâmica de funcionamento das práticas democráticas e o modo de organização do cuidado operacionalizado pela prática da escuta terapêutica e pelo uso da medicação. Por fim, descrevo como os profissionais conceitualizam suas experiências ao explicar a participação dos usuários como parceiros na elaboração dos seus projetos terapêuticos.

The objective of this work is to analyze the expansion of the infrastructure of natural gas distribution, identifying priorities from large metropolis using the energy planning based on urban design tools like urban dynamics and techniques like AHP. The methodology proposed uses matrices considering the relations between the concept of urban dynamics, quality of life and the possibilities of natural gas displacing other energy forms. The matrices are made up of information about social and urban development, costs of establishing the infrastructure and projections of the consumption potential in various sectors. Relating the consumption to urban development parameters and the real estate future of the areas in study, the methodology allows to indicate the viability of a gas network for each district. As conclusion, the model presents the integration between the cities profile and the natural gas use, by means of a growing natural gas use in districts of São Paulo City as a specific case study.

The castor bean cultivation has a high demand for nitrogen, in addition, the efficiency of nitrogen fertilization in most cases is low, so that this essential nutrient is provided at the appropriate time. The objective was to study the time nitrogen application in castor bean hybrids under no-till system in off-season. The experiment was carried out in an experimental area located in Botucatu, São Paulo State, Brazil, for two growing off-seasons (2006 and 2007). The experimental design was a randomized block in split plot design, with four replications. The plots were constituted by two castor bean hybrids (Lyra/Savana in 2006 and Lyra/Sara in 2007). Six combination of times out rates (0-0, 0-100, 100-0, 30-70, 70-30, 50-50 kg ha-1 of N) side dressing nitrogen fertilization constituted the subplots. The N source used was ammonium nitrate, applied 20 days after emergence and 40 days after emergence. Measurements were carried out: dry matter production of shoots, nitrate and ammonium leaf, leaf analysis, yield components and nitrogen factor utilization. The highest grain yield was obtained to the hybrid Lyra with nitrogen fertilization. In 2006 the highest nitrogen utilization factor to the hybrid Lyra was obtained with the form 70-30 and in the 2007 with 50-50., A cultura da mamoneira apresenta alta demanda por nitrogênio, além disso, eficiência da adubação nitrogenada, na maioria das vezes, é baixa, portanto é imprescindível que este nutriente seja fornecido na época adequada. O objetivo deste trabalho foi estudar a época de aplicação de nitrogênio para híbridos de mamona de porte baixo, cultivados em safrinha no sistema plantio direto. O experimento foi conduzido na Fazenda Experimental Lageado da FCA/UNESP - Botucatu-SP, em dois cultivos de safrinha (2006 e 2007). O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados em esquema parcela subdividida, com quatro repetições. As parcelas foram constituídas por dois híbridos de mamona (híbrido Lyra/Savana em 2006 e Lyra/Sara em 2007) e as subparcelas, por seis formas de parcelamento da adubação nitrogenada (0-0, 0-100, 100-0, 30-70, 70-30, 50-50 kg ha-1 de N) aplicados em duas épocas (20 DAE e aos 40 DAE). A fonte de nitrogênio utilizada foi o nitrato de amônio. As determinações realizadas foram: produção de matéria seca da parte aérea, teor de nitrato e amônio foliar, diagnose foliar, componentes da produção e fator de utilização do nitrogênio. A adubação nitrogenada proporcionou maiores acréscimos de produtividade ao híbrido Lyra. Na safrinha 2006 o maior fator de utilização do nitrogênio para o híbrido Lyra foi obtido com a forma de parcelamento 70-30 e na safrinha 2007 com 50-50.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito carbonatação acelerada nas propriedades físicas e desempenho mecânico de compósitos cimentícios reforçados com altos teores de polpas celulósicas. Os compósitos foram moldados em laboratório pelo processo de sucção a vácuo do excesso de água e posterior prensagem, e a carbonatação acelerada foi realizada em diferentes estágios de cura. O estudo das propriedades microestruturais foi realizado por microscopia eletrônica de varredura ambiental e difração de raios X. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que a carbonatação acelerada nos primeiros dias de cura resultou em maiores resultados de propriedades mecânicas e melhora na interface fibra-matriz. A carbonatação acelerada reduziu o conteúdo de portlandita [Ca(OH)2] e aumentou o teor de calcita [CaCO3] que é o principal composto resultante da carbonatação. Consequentemente, ocorreu a redução da alcalinidade na matriz cimentícia, o que pode favorecer a durabilidade das fibras celulósicas que se destacam como alternativas às fibras minerais e sintéticas, e podem contribuir para o desenvolvimento sustentável na tecnologia dos materiais de construção.

En este trabajo, analizamos el comportamiento de la dinámica asintótica de una ecuación de reacción-difusión con condiciones de contorno Neumann homogéneas cuando el dominio se perturba de una forma singular, como en el caso de los dominios de tipo “dumbbell”. Proporcionaremos un marco funcional adecuado para tratar este problema y probaremos que los atractores son semicontinuos superiormente.

Angular distributions for the 11 B+25 Mg elastic scattering, 25 Mg (11B, 12 C) 24 Na proton pickup, and 25 Mg (11 B, 10 Be) 26 Al stripping reactions have been measured at E11 B=35 MeV. The angular distributions have been analyzed by the distorted-waves Born approximation calculations using the code fresco. The spectroscopicfactors for the overlaps 25 Mg | 26 Al , 25 Mg | 24 Na for the ground state and excited states of 26 Al and 24 Na have been obtained and compared to previous measurements and shell-model calculations.

Full coupled channels calculations were performed for the 16O (d,n) 17F and 16O (d,p) 17O transfer reactionsat several deuteron incident energies from Elab = 2.29 MeV up to 3.27 MeV. A strong polarization effect between the entrance channel and the transfer channels 16O (d,n) 17F (1/2+, 0.495) and 16O( d,p) 17O (1/2+, 0.87) was observed. This polarization effect had to be taken into account in order to obtain realistic spectroscopic factors from these reactions.
