The emergence of big data is breaking the spatial and time limitations of urban waterlogging scenario description. The scenario data of different dimensions (e.g., administrative levels, sectors, granularities, and time) have become highly integrated. Accordingly, a structural and systematic model is needed to represent waterlogging scenarios for more efficient waterlogging response decision-making. In this article, a full-view urban waterlogging scenario is first defined and described from four dimensions. Next a structured representation of scenario element is given based on knowledge unit method. The full-view scenario model is then constructed by extracting the scenario correlation structures between different dimensions (called scenario nesting), i.e., inheritance nesting, feedback nesting, aggregation nesting, and selection nesting. Finally, a real-world case study in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, China is evaluated to verify the reasonability of the full-view model. The results show that the proposed model effectively integrates scenario data from different dimensions, which helps generate the complete key scenario information for urban waterlogging decision-making. The full-view scenario model is expected to be applicable for other disasters under big data environment.

Teachers who are married to other teachers within a school district often experience their personal life events in full view of the school community. How should a principal respond when a math teacher wants to leave due to her divorce, knowing that math teachers are hard to find? Challenges in this case for campus principals and human resource administrators include (a) hiring high-quality teachers in a tight labor pool, (b) providing new teacher induction, and (c) evaluating and responding to performance issues of teachers during times of high emotional stress.

A nona-band antenna with a small nonground portion for full-view display mobile phones is proposed. The width of the nonground portion is quite narrow at only 2 mm. This antenna consists mainly of two driven strips and two ground branches. An LC circuit is utilized to control the wave transmitted along the antenna and broaden the bandwidth. Then, three wide operating bands are generated by the proposed antenna to reach the desired low band (704–960 MHz), middle band (1710–2690 MHz), and high band (3300–3600 MHz). As a result, LTE700/GSM850/GSM900/GSM1800/GSM1900/UMTS/LTE2300/LTE2500 and a band for 5G can be covered simultaneously. An antenna prototype is fabricated and measured. The experimental results are in good agreement with the simulated results. The measured efficiencies are higher than 43%, 44%, and 52% in the low band, middle band, and high band, respectively. Reasonable radiation patterns and gains are also achieved.

We share a story about a katitjin bidi, a learning journey in a bioregion with a multimillennial Aboriginal history. As part of this katitjin bidi, three environmental educators implemented a place-based pedagogy called ‘becoming family with place’, while a fourth participated in the preplanning and final reflective stages. Our story includes cycles of ways of knowing, resulting in an enriched practice of being-with our place. Our story is underpinned by Aboriginal epistemologies to reimagine regenerative futures linked with those of ‘the long now’ — the past, present and future here now. Ours is a particular story that lives in a particular southwest place. There are layers of meanings that live right across the landscapes in the southwest of Australia — and many of them are hiding in full view. You might like to try this pedagogy in school learning, teacher education, and community education contexts.

La comunicación en las diferentes organizaciones evoluciona permanentemente y en las empresas del sector industrial del Ecuador en los últimos 10 años ha logrado un gran crecimiento, de manera especial en el entorno digital. Las organizaciones se ven en la necesidad de comunicar su accionar del día a día, pero actualmente son los públicos quienes demandan de información transparente, real y oportuna de las diferentes actividades que realizan las organizaciones y se lo requiere en diferentes formatos y plataformas. El presente estudio se profundiza y analiza la comunicación digital 2.0 de las 180 principales empresas del sector industrial de Ecuador. Se considera como fuente de información, el ranking de la revista Ekos del año 2017. En la investigación, se analiza los sitios web y medios sociales, tanto Facebook como Instagram, así como también espacios de primer contacto con los públicos, durante el periodo de enero a junio de 2018. Se identificaron diversas variables de investigación para el caso de los sitios web y las redes sociales. Los resultados que se presentan demuestran como las empresas manejan la comunicación digital de cara a sus públicos y la aprobación que logran por la gestión digital. Como otro resultado se evidencia el uso de la tecnología y la innovación en el campo de la comunicación por parte de las empresas caso de estudio.

In this article, we explore China Mieville’s novel The City and the City as a literary experiment for analyzing the dynamics of public secrecy. We explore public secrets as an intrinsic part of organizational life and as a framework for paying attention to the politics of organizing. First, we focus on the novel’s invention and use of the verb ‘unseeing’ to bring out the embodied and sensuous aspects of public secrecy as part of organizational processes. Second we unfold how, although the content of public secrets may turn out to be less spectacular than expected, it is exactly their mundaneness which is key to their political importance. This is important because in an increasingly disorganized and uncertain world, secrecy proliferates and the visibility of secrecy is often a strategic move to justify certain hidden actions.

Photoacoustic (PA) microscopy allows imaging of the soft biological tissue based on optical absorption contrast and spatial ultrasound resolution. One of the major applications of PA imaging is its characterization of microvasculature. However, the strong PA signal from skin layer overshadowed the subcutaneous blood vessels leading to indirectly reconstruct the PA images in human study. Addressing the present situation, we examined a deep learning (DL) automatic algorithm to achieve high-resolution and high-contrast segmentation for widening PA imaging applications. In this research, we propose a DL model based on modified U-Net for extracting the relationship features between amplitudes of the generated PA signal from skin and underlying vessels. This study illustrates the broader potential of hybrid complex network as an automatic segmentation tool for the in vivo PA imaging. With DL-infused solution, our result outperforms the previous studies with achieved real-time semantic segmentation on large-size high-resolution PA images.

Background: To date, our understanding of the global aortic aneurysm (AA) burden distribution is very limited. Objective: To assess a full view of global AA burden distribution and attributable risk factors from 1990 to 2017. Methods: We extracted data of AA deaths, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), and their corresponding age-standardized rates (ASRs), in general and by age/sex from the 2017 Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study. The current AA burden distribution in 2017 and its changing trend from 1990 to 2017 were separately showed. The spatial divergence was discussed from four levels: global, five social-demographic index regions, 21 GBD regions, and 195 countries and territories. We also estimated the risk factors attributable to AA related deaths. Results: Globally, the AA deaths were 167,249 with an age-standardized death rate (ASDR) of 2.19/100,000 persons in 2017, among which the elderly and the males accounted for the majority. Although reductions in ASRs were observed in developed areas, AA remained an important health issue in those relatively underdeveloped areas and might be much more important in the near future. AA may increasingly affect the elderly and the female population. Similar patterns of AA DALYs burden were noted during the study period. AA burden attributable to high blood pressure and smoking decreased globally and there were many heterogeneities in their distribution. Discussion: AA maintained an incremental public health issue worldwide. The change pattern of AA burden was heterogeneous across locations, ages, and sexes and it is paramount to improve resource allocation for more effective and targeted prevention strategies. Also, prevention of tobacco consumption and blood pressure control should be emphasized.

The aim of this article is to provide unique and detailed data on how patients rate the RebiSmart 2.0 in the specific User Study Questionnaire (USQ) domains, and the relationship between their rating and individual level of disability, baseline demographic/socioeconomic factors, and adherence. Twelve-month, phase IV, observational, multicenter study (no placebo or comparator) to evaluate the ease of use of the RebiSmart autoinjector for self-injection during treatment of CIS/RRMS subjects with Rebif 44 mcg sc three times a week by USQ. A total of 290 subjects participated in the study, with 249 (85.86%) completing the entire study period. The endpoint results demonstrated a very high proportion (>95%) of patients with a positive evaluation of the overall convenience of RebiSmart at each study visit. At the end of the study, all patients would recommend the device to others who need Rebif therapy. The proportion of patients rating the RebiSmart ease of use by individual domains (self-injection steps, changing the cartridge, using the device away from home) as “very easy to use” or “easy to use” and the proportion of patients rating the RebiSmart functions as “helpful” or “very helpful” were more than 80% for each domain at each study visit. These findings are in line with the potential benefits of RebiSmart to treatment adherence. They demonstrate an overall, very good perception of the device by patients and its individual functions.

In this chapter, various novel and well-noted approaches for corrosion preventive coatings have been discussed. Very well-documented factors that affect the corrosion mechanism are environmental factors, metal, and surface conditions and are elaborated in detail. Various modern, highly approachable, and currently used coating approaches are expanded and explained. This chapter provides a full view of the modern techniques used for corrosion prevention and cure.

This chapter discusses the issues related to the knowledge-intensive business services (KIBS). It presents the genesis of these companies, their definitions and classifications. There is a lot of unanimity and ambiguity on the definition, classification and typology of knowledge-intensive business services companies, as well as the whole sector of such firms. In this chapter, the author presents a detailed analysis of the definitions, classifications, features of KIBS and their characteristics to picture the full view of those companies. As a result of the analysis, the author clarifies the following definitions and approaches: knowledge-intensive business services, companies offering knowledge-intensive business services, KIBS sector, classification of KIBS sector. The main features of this type of companies are their knowledge intensity and focus on a business client, not on an individual. The chapter also describes in detail the characteristics of such firms, namely: dependence on knowledge, adaptation to customer needs, co-creation of value and co-production of services, creation and support of innovation, regional concentration and impact on the region’s economy and network activities.

Background Withering processes have a strong impact on the phenolic composition of winegrapes and related wines. Even if attention has often been focused on other phenolics, a great number of studies have included phenolic acids because of their quantitative and qualitative modifications during dehydration-withering processes. A systematic review that provides a concise overview of the extensive literature available on this important topic is lacking. Scope and approach This review identified 39 articles to answer the research question: What changes occur in phenolic acids after the withering process of winegrapes? The expected contribution of this systematic review is to have a full view of the worthwhile recent findings on these often-overlooked compounds to manage the technological process with new awareness and to find eventual weaknesses in this field to highlight new questions and research directions. Key findings and conclusions The research yielded useful results for withering and winemaking management. Phenolic acids are well represented in certain special productions to be proposed as markers of wine authenticity. Hydroxycinnamic and hydroxybenzoic acids and their derivatives are often affected differently by the withering process. Their evolution during grape withering is a complex phenomenon that is affected by many varietal and technological variables. In particular, the withering conditions applied and grape genotype play an important role in the changing amounts of phenolic acids, but there is still much to be understood, especially related to the combined effect of both factors through genetic responses to environmental stresses and their respective chemical implications.

This article identifies in digital media ecologies two means through which war is being made increasingly inaccessible to human perception and intelligibility. The first is the digital volume and flux of images, information and disinformation, that afford the impression of a chaotic battlefield in which all sides are fighting with the new tools of participation seemingly in full view. The second is the comparatively silent revolution in military and militarised data and AI through which aerial surveillance has massively expanded so that civilians are increasingly subject to expanding commercial and military exploitation of technology in airspace. One consequence of this is a shift in the trauma of civilians from a memory of the past to a perpetual anticipation of the threat of the future, subjecting increasing numbers of people to unending physical and psychological incarceration in a traumatising present. These shifts in the relationship between war, media, trauma and memory are difficult to make visible in the form of much of traditional scholarly writing in war, media and memory studies. Our work responds to this challenge through interdisciplinary artistic intervention in our production of a ‘Blueprint series’ (following the material architecture blueprints used as working diagrams). In this way, we aim to reveal the dynamics of the multiple co-existences, contradictions and human impacts of inaccessible war.

Today, many complex multiobjective problems are dealt with using genetic algorithms (GAs). They apply the evolution mechanism of a natural population to a &ldquo, numerical&rdquo, population of solutions to optimize a fitness function. GA implementations must find a compromise between the breath of the search (to avoid being trapped into local minima) and its depth (to prevent a rough approximation of the optimal solution). Most algorithms use &ldquo, elitism&rdquo, which allows preserving some of the current best solutions in the successive generations. If the initial population is randomly selected, as in many GA packages, the elite may concentrate in a limited part of the Pareto frontier preventing its complete spanning. A full view of the frontier is possible if one, first, solves the single-objective problems that correspond to the extremes of the Pareto boundary, and then uses such solutions as elite members of the initial population. The paper compares this approach with more conventional initializations by using some classical tests with a variable number of objectives and known analytical solutions. Then we show the results of the proposed algorithm in the optimization of a real-world system, contrasting its performances with those of standard packages.

Feature-based attention allocates resources to particular stimulus features and reduces processing and retention of unattended features. We performed four experiments using self-paced video games to investigate whether sustained attentional selection of features could be created without a distractor task requiring continuous processing. Experiments 1 and 2 compared two versions of the game Two Dots, each containing a sequence of images. For the more immersive game post-game recognition of images was very low, but for the less immersive game it was significantly higher. Experiments 3 and 4 found that post-game image recognition was very low if the images were irrelevant to the game task but significantly higher if the images were relevant to the task. We conclude that games create sustained attentional selection away from task-irrelevant features, even if they are in full view, which leads to reduced retention. This reduced retention is due to differences in attentional set rather than a response to limited processing resources. The consistency of this attentional selection is moderated by the level of immersion in the game. We also discuss possible attentional mechanisms for the changes in recognition rates and the implications for applications such as serious games.

Although many studies of iterative based reconstruction algorithm have been performed on dose reduction in medical applications, there is little research on how to approach the systematical acquisition method to reduce the dose. In this study, we proposed a hybrid imaging technique using half ROI and full view scan as a new acquisition method. A prototype of the CT system (TVX-IL1500H, GERI, Korea) was used. The source-to-detector and the source-to-center of rotation distance were 1178 and 905 mm, respectively. A total of 720 projection data were obtained, from which full view CT reconstructed images were obtained as a reference image using a filtered back projection (FBP). Interior ROI CT images were reconstructed using the 720 truncated projection data. Proposed hybrid CT image was reconstructed using 360 truncated and variable number of nontruncated full-size projection data. We set a total of 6 acquisition parameters according to the number of full-size projection data and acquire hybrid images. Dose reduction can be achieved through half ROI and full view scan. As the number of nontruncated full-size projection data on the hybrid image increases, the CNR value increases. FOM values were also derived for each parameter. In conclusion, appropriate acquisition parameter for half ROI and full view scan was derived based on the FOM values.

MeToo has breathed new life into the women’s movement and especially into understanding and rectifying sexual harassment, abuse and assault. It has galvanized activists around the globe. And it has placed thousands of stories of the harassed in full view of the public. Sexual harassment, abuse and assault may occur within the organizational context or beyond; but sexual harassment, in particular has been legally labeled an organizational phenomenon. With this in mind, Robin Clair frames the early part of this article around the most recent organizational communication theories (see the appendix for an overview of these theories). Following the essay is a forum, in which invited scholars address questions related to the #MeToo movement.

This paper explores how the installation of the full-view micro-sensor detector will affect the electric-field distribution of ±800-kV converter valve. We build the 3D model of ±800-kV converter valve tower and use Ansoft Maxwell 3D Field Simulator to study the electric-field distribution of ±800-kV converter valve tower with the full-view micro-sensor detector at different logical suitable locations. The results show that the installed locations have nearly no influence on the maximum electric-field distribution of non-direct contacted components; but for the direct-contacted components, the maximum electric-field has increased to a certain degree. The results further show that the electric-fields distribution especially the maximum electric-fields distribution at different locations is different, but the maximum electric-field value is still less than the 3 kV/mm. Thus, it can be concluded that the installation of full-view micro-sensor detectors can lead to an increase of maximum electric-field, but it has no influence on the insulation condition of valve tower, and the insulation design still meets the requirements well. Finally, the experiment validates that the installation of the full-view micro-sensor detector is feasible.

Understanding the cracking behavior during carbonation is of high importance, and the cracks can serve as a shortcut for CO2 diffusion, which can further accelerate the carbonation process itself. In this study, a sliced paste sample was taken for an accelerated carbonation test, and the cracking behavior, as well as its impact on carbonation, was investigated through a novel extended attenuation method based on X-ray (XRAM) which is performed primarily on computed tomography (CT). Surface-opening cracks at different carbonation ages were rendered, based on which a full view on the carbonation-cracking behavior was built. The results reveal that the crack paths can rapidly be occupied by CO2, and that leads to the generation of V-shaped carbonation cusps pervading the carbonation fronts. The V-shaped carbonation cusps were mostly generated at the early carbonation age (within 14 days), attesting to a less intact sample surface as compared to the inside area. Moreover, this study confirms that the carbonated area would split into two independent zones with variant carbonation degree due to the increased humidity level near the sample surface. The current work reveals the interconnection between carbonation and cracking, and the results can be used for the designing of cement-based materials with better carbonation and cracking resistance.

Background Evaluating the face in profile is an integral part of a complete orthodontic diagnosis. The addition of a lateral smiling profile photograph in addition to frontal smiling one is necessary to enable judgment of the distance from the facial axis (FA) point of the maxillary central incisor to that of the forehead. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the anteroposterior relationship of maxillary central incisors to the forehead in adult women having good facial harmony (control sample) with those seeking orthodontic treatment (study sample) in the North Indian population. Methods Fifty printed facial photographic images of adult women (18–25 years of age) with optimum facial balance and those seeking orthodontic treatment were obtained. All smiling profile images had the maxillary central incisors and the forehead in full view. Reference lines were drawn to measure the anteroposterior positions of the maxillary central incisors as well as forehead inclinations. Results The most esthetic position of maxillary central incisor, somewhere at or between forehead facial axis (FFA) and glabella, was observed in 82% of the control sample, whereas only 14% of study subjects exhibited it. Most of the study group subjects (58%) showed posteriorly positioned maxillary central incisors to the FFA point. Conclusions Treatment goals for adult women should include the maxillary central incisor position to be somewhere at or between the FFA point and glabella and correlated with forehead inclination.

One of the main difficulties in intracranial aneurysms (IA) surgery refers to the choice of the appropriate clip(s) to be implanted. Although the imaging exams currently available ensure visualization of IA's morphology, they do not bring an accurate reference positioning for the surgeon in executing the surgery procedure nor efficiently contribute to planning the surgery. Unfortunately, for IA's largely inaccessible regions, there is not an efficient method of treatment planning. Therefore, we propose a novel method that allows the generation of a 3D biomodel of the IA region under investigation using additive manufacturing technology (AM). Thus, a physical copy of the IA is produced and offers the surgeon a full view of the anatomy of that region of the brain. The aim of this study is the creation of a flexible 3D physical model (elastomer) through the AM technique, in order to allow the clip selection prior to the surgery. DICOM angio-CT images from eight patients who underwent IA surgery were transformed into STL format and then built on a 3D printer. Preoperative surgical clip selection was performed and then compared with those used in surgery. At the end of the study, all 3D IA biomodels were reproduced for microsurgical clipping selection and it was possible to predict the metal clip to be used in the surgery. In addition, the proposed methodology helps to clarify the surgical anatomy and to avoid excessive manipulation of the intracranial arteries and prolonged surgical time. The major advantage of this technology is that the surgeon can closely study complex cerebrovascular anatomy from any perspective using realistic 3D biomodels, which can be handheld, allowing simulation of intraoperative situations and anticipation of surgical challenges.

In this study, we explore the determinants of forest enterprises’ timber storage accumulation after severe storm events. The explanatory power of variables reflecting economic, institutional and tree species-related factors is tested via econometric analyses. Timber storage accumulation is assessed conducting a weighted multiple linear regression analysis. In addition, the moderating effect of timber price alterations on timber storage accumulation is tested employing timber price alterations as a moderator variable in a hierarchical regression analysis. The results show a linear positive relation between forest enterprises’ damaged and stored timber quantities. It was found that coniferous timber was stored to a greater extent than non-coniferous timber which can be explained by higher storm damage as well as better suitability for multiyear storage. State forestry stored the highest shares of damaged timber, followed by municipal and private forest enterprises, which can be explained as a countervailing measure. A further central finding of our study is that the timber price drops after storm events act as a moderator variable on the relation between damaged and stored timber quantities. Hence, empirical timber price reactions help to improve estimation accuracy regarding the shares of damaged timber which are stored. Derived from our results, we find timber storage accumulation to be a common practice by forest companies to mitigate revenue losses caused by extreme storm events. As coefficients vary strongly among the analyzed variables’ categories, we consider case-specific storage accumulation estimations to be crucial for improving the accuracy of national wood and timber accounting, but also for a full view on storm-related economic damage in the forest sector. In addition, it is likely that capturing the proportions of timber storage in forests will gain relevance in the future, since forest damage from natural disturbances is expected to increase as a consequence of climate change.

espanolResumen: El 27 de febrero de 2010, la zona centro-sur de Chile (ca., 34-39oS) fue afectada por un terremoto de magnitud Mw= 8,8, localizandose el epicentro en Cobquecura (ca., 36oS), causando un levantamiento continental en las costas mas cercanas a la fosa (i.e., Peninsula de Arauco e Isla Santa Maria) y subsidencia en areas costeras localizadas al norte de esas costas (Region del Maule). En este estudio se evaluo la hipotesis de que independientemente del grupo taxonomico, los organismos bentonicos intermareales adheridos al sustrato pueden ser utilizados como indicadores de levantamiento cosismico continental. La metodologia consistio en medir la altura del limite superior de las bandas de distribucion de cada especie sobre el nivel de marea baja, a lo largo de la costa afectada por el terremoto. El alga calcarea Lithothamnium sp., el mitilido Perumytilus purpuratus y las macroalgas Mazzaella laminarioides y Lessonia spicata, son organismos bentonicos apropiados para describir el levantamiento continental cosismico. Se sugiere que en estudios tendientes a evaluar este tipo de procesos tectonicos, se utilice mas de una especie para tener una vision completa de tal proceso a lo largo de gradientes de deformacion continental. Esto ya que, parte importante de las especies bentonicas de la costa rocosa no tienen distribucion continua, por lo que el uso de una sola especie puede resultar en conclusiones con bajo nivel de generalizacion. EnglishAbstract: On February 27, 2010, the south central coast of Chile (ca., 34-39oS) was affected by an earthquake magnitude Mw= 8,8, with the epicenter located offshore Cobquecura (ca., 36.29oS). This earthquake originated continental uplift on that coastal areas closer to the trench between the Nazca and South American tectonic plates (i.e., Peninsula de Arauco and Isla Santa Maria) and subsidence along coastal areas located further north of that (the coast of the Maule Region), as well as in continental zones ordered in a west - east axis. In this study we tested the hypothesis that independent of the taxonomic group, the rocky shore sessile benthic organisms can be used as indicators of continental uplift. The methodology involved measurements of heights upper of distributional bands above the low tide level at the coast affected by the earthquake. The results show that the calcareous crustose algae Lithothamnium sp., the mytilid bivalve Perumytilus purpuratus and the macroalgae Mazzaella laminarioides and Lessonia spicata, are benthonic useful organisms to describe continental uplift, due to the fact that their vertical distributions after the earthquake follow the coastal deformation observed in the field. This allow to suggest that in studies aimed to evaluate this tectonic processes, more than a single species must be used in order to gain a full view of that along gradients of continental deformation. This due to the fact that a significant number of the benthic species of the rocky shore do not have continuous distribution; thus, to use a single species may well result in conclusions with low level of generalizations.

The aim of this review is to provide a selective overview of priming studies which have employed the event-related brain potential (ERP) technique in order to investigate bilingual language processing. The priming technique can reveal an implicit memory effect in which exposure to one stimulus influences the processing of another stimulus. Behavioral approaches, such as measuring reaction times, may not always be enough for providing a full view on the exact mechanisms and the time-course of language comprehension. Instead, ERPs have a time-resolution of a millisecond and hence they offer a precise temporal overview of the underlying neural processes involved in language processing. In our review, we summarize experimental research that has combined priming with ERP measurements, thus creating a valuable tool for examining the neurophysiological correlates of language processing in the bilingual brain.

Introduction/Objective Current biomechanical analyses can provide full view of the strain induced by loading of various replacements to be used for prosthetic rehabilitation. The aim of this study was to analyze strain distribution of supporting tissues beneath two different types of removable partial dentures, commonly indicated in the conventional rehabilitation of partially edentulous patients. Methods This in vitro study included two groups of experimental models composed of the mandibles (Kenedy Class 1) and two types of removable partial dentures. These models were exposed to occlusal loading and the digital image correlation method was used for strain visualization and strain measurement. Results The highest strain was measured beneath the removable partial dentures, on the surfaces of bone adjacent to distal abutments and in the anatomical structure called the retromolar area. Strain values in the experimental models with clasp removable partial dentures ranged 0-10%. Strain values in the experimental models with attachment - removable partial dentures ranged 0-2.3%. Conclusion The findings showed that the attachment retaining removable partial dentures induced lower strain in the residual alveolar ridges. However, higher strain was detected in the marginal bone next to the abutment teeth., Uvod/Cilj Savremene biomehaničke analize omogućavaju kompletnu vizuelizaciju deformacija od opterećivanja različitih zubnih nadoknada u protetskoj rehabilitaciji. Cilj ove studije je bio da analiza distribucije deformacija unutar potpornih tkiva ispod dva različita tipa najčešće korišćenih parcijalnih skeletiranih proteza. Metode In vitro studija je obuhvatila dve grupe eksperimentalnih modela donjih vilica (Kenedi 1 klasa krezubosti) i dva tipa parcijalnih skeletiranih proteza. Modeli su bili izloženi okluzalnim silama, a za prikaz i merenje deformacija je korišćena metoda digitalne korelacije slika. Rezultati Najveća deformacija je izmerena ispod parcijalnih proteza, na površinama kosti koja okružuje distalne zube nosače i u retromolarnoj regiji. Vrednosti deformacija u eksperimentalnim modelima sa protezama retiniranim livenim kukicama su bile 0-10%. Vrednosti deformacija u eksperimentalnim modelima sa protezama retiniranim atečmenima su bile 0-2,3%. Zaključak Parcijalne skeletirane proteze sa atečmenima indukovale su manje deformacije rezidualnog alveolarnog grebena. Veće deformacije su uočene u marginalnoj kosti koja je u neposrednom kontaktu sa zubima nosačima.

CPI stacks are an intuitive way to visualize processor core performance bottlenecks. However, they often do not provide a full view on all bottlenecks, because stall events can occur concurrently. Typically one of the events is selected, which means information about the non-chosen stall events is lost. Furthermore, we show that there is no single correct CPI stack: stall penalties can be hidden, can overlap or can cause second-order effects, making total CPI more complex than just a sum of components. Instead of showing a single CPI stack, we propose to measure multiple CPI stacks during program execution: a CPI stack at each stage of the processor pipeline. This representation reveals all performance bottlenecks and provides a more complete view on the performance of an application. Multi-stage CPI stacks are easy to collect, which means that they can be included in a simulator with negligible slowdown, and that they can be included in the core hardware with limited overhead.

Mining induced pressures are strong and overburden failure areas are large in top coal caving longwall mining, which constrains high production and safety mining. By employing the combination of the full view borehole photography technique and the seismic CT scanner technique, the deformation and failure of overlying strata of fully mechanized caving face in shallow coal seam were studied and the failure development of overburden was determined. Results show that the full view borehole photography can reveal the characteristics of strata, and the seismic CT scanner can reflect the characteristics of strata between the boreholes. The combined measurement technique can effectively determine the height of fractured and caved zones. The top end of the caved zone in Yangwangou coal mine employing the top coal caving longwall mining was at the depth of 171 m and fractured zone was at the depth of 106–110 m. The results provide a theoretic foundation for controlling the overburden strata in the shallow buried top coal caving panel. In a recent amendment to the two-visual-system model, it has been proposed that actions must result in tactile contact with the goal object for the dorsal system to become engaged (Whitwell et al., Neuropsychologia 55:41-50, 2014). The present study tested this addition by assessing the use of allocentric information in normal and pantomime actions. To this end, magicians, and participants who were inexperienced in performing pantomime actions made normal and pantomime grasps toward objects embedded in the Müller-Lyer illusion. During pantomime grasping, a grasp was made next to an object that was in full view (i.e., a displaced pantomime grasping task). The results showed that pantomime grasps took longer, were slower, and had smaller hand apertures than normal grasping. Most importantly, hand apertures were affected by the illusion during pantomime grasping but not in normal grasping, indicating that displaced pantomime grasping is based on allocentric information. This was true for participants without experience in performing pantomime grasps as well as for magicians with experience in pantomiming. The finding that the illusory bias is limited to pantomime grasping and persists with experience supports the conjecture that the normal engagement of the dorsal system's contribution requires tactile contact with a goal object. If no tactile contact is made, then movement control shifts toward the ventral system.

Using synchrotron radiography, in this study, we caught a full view of the segregation evolution of Al–10 wt pct Bi immiscible alloy during solidification. We provide the direct experimental evidence of surface segregation prior to liquid decomposition. And the Bi enrichment at the bottom part should come from melt flow rather than Soret effect. The Marangoni effect and Stokes effect dominate in separate stages in solidifying Al–Bi alloy. Further, the size distribution of Bi droplets obeys Gaussian distribution.

La promoción de centros comerciales es una actividad compleja que abarca un amplio abanico de actividades multidisciplinares e implica un análisis de riesgo específico. Con objeto de evitar riesgos proyectuales y maximizar los resultados del proyecto, es necesario gestionar la interrelación entre las etapas del ciclo de vida de la promoción, a partir de un conocimiento exhaustivo de los objetivos estratégicos. Sin embargo, según Peiser y Halmilton (2012), muchos promotores no diseñan formalmente un plan estratégico, basándose la toma de decisiones en análisis. Por ello, esta investigación tiene por objetivo crear un marco organizacional y sistémico que conecte la planificación estratégica a las actividades que engloba el desarrollo de la promoción de centros comerciales. El marco conceptual propuesto abarca cuatro fases principales: Definición de la estrategia de negocio, Predesarrollo, Desarrollo del negocio y Gestión del negocio. Este sistema de análisis permite, no sólo entender como las diferentes actividades interactúan con la estrategia de negocio, sino también establece las futuras expectativas de los grupos de interés. Además, dicho marco puede incorporarse a futuras investigaciones en el ámbito del desarrollo estratégico de negocios inmobiliarios, gestión de proyectos y modelos de viabilidad. De este modo, el promotor podrá visualizar, de acuerdo con su campo de actuación, el resultado de cada estrategia por nivel negocio (empresa–cartera de inversión–edificio), así como de forma conjunta. Además, proporciona una visión total de la cadena de valor del edificio, en la que se puede diseñar las acciones pertinentes para la creación de valor. The shopping centre´s development is a complex activity that encompasses a range of multidisciplinary activities and involves a specific risk analysis. Therefore, in order to maximize the results and avoid project risks, it is necessary not only to manage the interrelation between the stages of the life cycle of the promotion, but also to have an exhaustive knowledge of the strategic objectives of the promoter. Nevertheless, according to Peiser and Halmilton (2012), usually, many developers do not formally design a strategic plan and their personal experiences tend to drive decision making instead of the prescribed analysis. Thus, this exploratory research proposes to create an organizational and systemic framework that interconnects strategic planning with the shopping centre´s development activities. The proposed conceptual framework covers four main phases: Definition of the business strategy, Pre-development, Business development and Business management. This analysis allows the professionals not only to understand how these activities interact with the business strategy, but also to evidence the future expectations of the stakeholders. In addition, this framework can support future research in the field of strategic development of real estate businesses, project management and feasibility models. Besides, its flexible structure allows professionals to adapt the suggested model to the development process of all types of real estate assets (e.g. offices, hotels, residential). For this, the developer can visualize, according to its field of action, the result of each strategy, in each level of the business (company - investment portfolio - building) separately, as well as jointly the total decisions results. In addition, it provides a full view of the building´s value chain, in which the professional can design the relevant actions for value creation.

Labelling body parts in depth images is useful for a wide variety of tasks. Many approaches use skeleton-based labelling, which is not robust when there is a partial view of the figure. In this work we show that Minkowski networks, which have recently been developed for 3D point cloud labelling of scenes, can be used to label point clouds with body part categories, achieving 85.6% accuracy with a full view of the figure, and 82.1% with partial views. These results are limited by a small sample size of our training data, but there is evidence that some of these ‘misclassifications’ may be correcting mistakes in the reference labelling. Overall, we demonstrate that Minkowski networks are effective for body part labelling in point clouds, and are robust to occlusion.
