The concept of supersymmetry developed in particle physics has been applied to various fields of modern physics. In quantum mechanics, the supersymmetric systems refer to the systems involving two supersymmetric partner Hamiltonians, whose energy levels are degeneracy except one of the systems has an extra ground state possibly, and the eigenstates of the partner systems can be mapped onto each other. Recently, an interferometric scheme has been proposed to show this relationship in ultracold atoms [Phys. Rev.A 96, 043624 (2017)]. Here this approach is generalized to linear optics for observing the supersymmetric dynamics with photons. The time evolution operator is simulated approximately via Suzuki-Trotter expansion with considering the realization of the kinetic and potential terms separately. The former is realized through the diffraction nature of light and the later is implemented using phase plate. Additionally, we propose an interferometric approach which can be implemented perfectly using amplitude alternator to realize the non-unitary operator. Statin use decreases the risk of decompensation and mortality in patients with cirrhosis due to hepatitis C virus (HCV). Whether this beneficial effect can be extended to cirrhosis in the general population or cirrhosis due to other causes, such as hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection or alcohol, remains unknown. Statin use also decreases the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in patients with chronic HBV and HCV infection. It is unclear whether the effect can be observed in patients with pre-existing cirrhosis. The goal of this study was to determine the effect of statin use on rates of decompensation, mortality, and HCC in HBV-, HCV-, and alcohol-related cirrhosis. Patients with cirrhosis were identified from a representative cohort of Taiwan National Health Insurance beneficiaries from 2000 to 2013. Because of the increasing usage of lanthanum carbonate in dialysis patients, clinicians should be aware of its typical radiographic appearance. A dialysis patient received a plain film and a computed tomography, both showing a “starry-sky” appearance in the nearly whole colon, and the radiological report mistakenly denoted it as barium. The patient denied any exposure to barium or radiocontrast medium. Tracing back her medication history, lanthanum carbonate, 500 mg twice a day, has been prescribed for her hyperphosphatemia in recent 5 months. Clinicians should be aware of typical radiographic appearance of lanthanum carbonate to avoid unnecessary management and may also take its radiopaque characteristic as an advantage to assess the patient's drug adherence.

Groundwater reservoirs aim at saving grounding water from aquifers by means of interception and adjustment. This study adopts numerical model simulation to evaluate the benefit of developing subsurface reservoirs and provides the case of the groundwater reservoir development at Daping region in Dongju Island. Since 2008, this study has been conducting surface geological surveys, geological drilling, surface infiltration experiments, physical experiments on bore specimens, and continuous observation of groundwater level while simultaneously conducting water pumping and slug tests in the field in order to estimate the hydro geological parameters of the site. The development benefit assessment of the groundwater reservoir will also include catchment area, surface land use, calendar year rainfall records and other information. Meanwhile, the FEMWATER numerical model of groundwater will be used to conduct hydrodynamic simulations of the development area. According to the simulation results of pre and post construction of the cut-off wall of the groundwater reservoir, this study could estimate the stable pre and post water volume and the development benefit of the groundwater reservoir can be assessed. According the 3-year unsteady numerical simulation, the results show that the groundwater reservoir can provide approximately 36 m3/day of stable water supply during dry seasons. If a cut-off wall is implemented and the stable water supply could increase 11% to 40 m3/day and raise the average upstream groundwater level of the cut-off wall by 1m, it clearly displays the benefit of the cut-off wall.

This paper integrates machine center cutting process and magnetic abrasive finishing(MAF) producing a combined process that improves the magnetic abrasive loss rate(MALR) and roughness(Ra) of aluminum alloy 6061-T6 with ladder shape of different height. The present study shows the features of the development with mathematical model based on response surface methodology (RSM) for correlating the interactive and second order influences of major machining parameters such as different size and shape abrasive of stainless, spindle speed, tool and workpiece gap, feed speed, respectively. The experiments design, regression analysis and analysis of variance are used to develop the relationships between process parameters (abrasive size, spindle speed, tool and workpiece gap, feed speed) and responses (MALR and Ra) in MAF process. Sensitivity analysis has also been carried out using developed empirical equations. The results shows that developed mathematical models can be applied to estimate the effectiveness of process parameters for MALR and Ra with a change of spindle speed affects the MALR more strongly than Ra relatively compare to other parameters.
