[Objective] As one of the seven key areas of “new infrastructure” development during China’s 14th Five-Year Plan period, the ultra-high voltage (UHV) projects are the backbone of China’s new power system and is of great significance to the transmission of clean energy. This study constructed a theoretical and methodological system suitable for the carbon emission measurement of UHV project construction in China, in order to clarify the carbon cost of project construction and assist project carbon management and the construction of new power systems under China’s “dual carbon” goals. [Methods] Based on the life cycle assessment method, this study broke through the cost list-based measurement system and for the first time constructed the carbon source emission inventory system for UHV project construction from the perspective of carbon footprint. On this basis, a grouping calculation method for project construction carbon emissions was proposed, which enhances the applicability and accuracy of the method. The calculation and carbon emission reduction potential evaluation of the ±800 kV UHVDC transmission project from Longdong to Shandong were conducted as an example. [Results] The results show that: (1) The method constructed in this article simplifies the calculation work to a certain extent, ensuring a relatively scientific and effective calculation of carbon emissions in the construction of ultra large transmission projects; (2) The overall carbon emissions in the construction phase are 3.367×106 tCO2e, with the main source of carbon emissions coming from non-traceable projects, accounting for 67.140% of the total; (3) The carbon emissions of unit investment are 1.667 tCO2e/10000 yuan, and the unit carbon emissions level of the large-scale super project in the power sector has not been improved. [Conclusion] The results verify the applicability of the carbon emission calculation method for UHV project construction formed in this study. The method provides a theoretical support for establishing carbon cost budgets for UHV projects in China, improving carbon emission management capabilities during the project construction phase, and assisting project carbon emission reductions. The study also revealed that fully utilizing the existing power grid foundation to plan project site selection and construction, innovating construction technology, introducing green materials, and application of digital technology in project construction management are highly promising paths of carbon emission reduction.

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the remineralisation effect of combined use of a bioinspired self-assembling peptide (P26) and fluoride varnish on artificial early enamel caries lesions. Methods: Bovine enamel blocks with artificial early enamel caries lesions were prepared. The blocks were randomly allocated to four experimental groups to receive the following treatments: A = P26 + fluoride varnish, B = P26, C = fluoride varnish, and D. distilled water (negative control). The treated blocks were subjected to pH cycling. Enamel blocks were collected at time points of 7 days (d7) and 21 days (d21). The mineral gain, elemental analysis and crystal characteristics of the caries lesion were assessed by micro-computed tomography, scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray and X-ray diffraction (XRD), respectively. Results: The mean ± standard deviation of mineral gain of group A to D were 17.4 ± 4.2%, 10.7 ± 2.2%, 10.1 ± 1.2%, and 6.8 ± 0.5% at d7, respectively, and 15.2 ± 2.6%, 8.7 ± 3.1%, 9.7 ± 1.2%, and 7.8 ± 2.3% at d21, respectively. A significant higher mineral gain was observed in group A when compared to other groups at both d7 and d21 (p < 0.05). The calcium-to-phosphate ratio remained consistent across all groups, ranging between 1.2 and 1.4. XRD analysis indicated that crystal composition on the surfaces was apatite for all groups. Conclusion: In conclusion, the present study provided a first indication of better remineralisation effects of the combined use of the bioinspired self-assembling peptide P26 and fluoride varnish compared to the effects of the respective individual uses of P26 or fluoride varnish. T‐cell exhaustion is one of the hallmarks in cancer, but the mechanisms underlying T‐cell dysregulation remains unclear. Here, we reported that down‐regulation of transcription factor EOMES contributed to increased levels of inhibitory receptors in T cell among the tumour tissues and resulted in the poor prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). By analysing the correlation between EOMES in tumour‐infiltrating T cells and the clinical features, we demonstrated that the EOMES was related to the advanced stage and poor prognosis of HCC. Further mechanistic studies revealed that the EOMES mainly expressed in the CD8+ T cells and were down‐regulated in tumour samples. Moreover, we demonstrated that the EOMES directly bound at the transcriptional regulatory regions of the key inhibitory factors including PD‐1, CTAL‐4 and CD39, and lower levels of EOMES contributed to overexpression of these factors in T cells. Together, our studies provide new insight into the transcriptional deregulation of the inhibitory receptors on T cells during the tumorigenesis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
