Abstract

CsPbI2Br all-inorganic perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have attracted much attention due to their suitable bandgap and outstanding thermostability. However, the large energy loss of CsPbI2Br PSCs generally endows low open circuit voltage (VOC) and unsatisfactory power conversion efficiency (PCE), which severely hamper its further development. Herein, we proposed a facile route to modify the ZnO electron transporting layer (ETL) by in situ chemical doping strategy with metal ions. The doped ZnO ETL with Pb(Ac)2 or CsAc cannot only effectively tune its energy levels, conductivity, and charge extraction but also ameliorate the crystallization and morphology of upper perovskite films. Particularly, Pb(Ac)2-doped ZnO (ZnO:Pb) induces an energy level offset of 0.15 eV relative to the conduction band of CsPbI2Br with largely reduced Ohmic loss. Thus, the highest VOC is significantly boosted to above 1.3 V for the CsPbI2Br PSCs with a champion PCE of 16.36%, while the reference PSC just yields a moderate PCE of 14.43% with a low VOC of 1.168 V. Moreover, considerable improvements in device stability are achieved for the PSCs with doped ZnO ETLs than those of the ZnO-based device. Abstract

The all-inorganic CsPbIBr2 perovskite solar cell (PSC) has received tremendous attention due to its favorable photoelectric properties and superior stability against moisture and heat attack. Nevertheless, the reported power conversion efficiency (PCE) of CsPbIBr2 PSC is still far from its counterparts, mainly because of the inferior film crystallization and morphology of the CsPbIBr2 light-absorbing layer, along with much trap defects and severe charge recombination. Herein, all-inorganic perovskite CsPbIBr2 is doped with ZnBr2 to improve crystallinity and morphology, optimize energy level alignment and enhance photovoltaic performance of PSC. Consequently, with the optimized concentration of Zn2+ (1%, at.), CsPb0.99Zn0.01IBr2-based PSC shows the highest PCE of 10.51%, which is 34% higher than that of CsPbIBr2-based PSCs (7.84%). Furthermore, the unencapsulated CsPb0.99Zn0.01IBr2-based device exhibits superior long-term stability in ambient atmosphere and against heat. This study provides a feasible strategy for preparing a high quality perovskite film and improving the photovoltaic performance and long-term stability of CsPbIBr2 PSCs, aiming at promoting the potential applications of CsPbIBr2-based PSCs. 41. A dual promotion strategy of interface modification and ion doping for efficient and stable carbon-based planar CsPbBr3 perovskite solar cells.

Abstract

Carbon-based all-inorganic cesium lead bromide (CsPbBr3) halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have attracted tremendous attention owing to their low cost, simplified preparation, and outstanding stability even under harsh conditions. However, the CsPbBr3 perovskite always suffers from an undesirable crystallization and film morphology with incomplete coverage and numerous grain boundaries. Herein, a novel dual promotion strategy combining interface modification with ion doping is proposed to achieve highly efficient and stable carbon-based planar CsPbBr3 PSCs. A thin CsBr modified layer was first inserted between the compact TiO2 (c-TiO2) and PbBr2 layers, wherein the crystallization of PbBr2 can be enhanced and then assist the growth of perovskite grains can be provided, so that CsPbBr3 films can reduce pinhole generation and accelerate carrier extraction, and decrease the hysteresis effect. Then an appropriate cobalt (Co2+) ion is doped into the CsPbBr3 film, which not only increases the grain size with decreasing grain boundary, but also ameliorates the energy level and recombination. Consequently, the champion power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the CsPbBr3 PSCs reaches up to 8.67% with an increment of about 30%. Moreover, the best-performing PSC without encapsulation also displays excellent humidity and thermal stability, maintaining above 98% of its initial PCE in an air atmosphere after 100 days, and over 95% under heat treatment at 85 °C after 600 hours, respectively. Abstract

A novel antenna element has been proposed for maritime satellite communication Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) phased array antenna system. The proposed antenna element is composed of a square radiating patch, two vertical trapezoidal coupling strips and a T-junction power splitter feeding network. A dual orthogonal side coupled feeding technique has been adopted to realize a circularly polarized square patch antenna. Abstract

A new low-profile variable pitch angle cylindrical helical antenna employing a copper strip as impedance transformer is proposed in this paper. Under the circumstance of a limited antenna height, the circular polarization performance of the antenna has been enhanced by changing the pitch angle and the input impedance matching has been improved by adjusting the copper strip match stub. The design method of the proposed antenna is given. The optimal antenna structure for INMARSAT application has been fabricated and measured. The measured results show that in the whole maritime satellite communication work band the VSWR is less than 1.2, its antenna gain is higher than 9 dBi, and the axial ratio is lower than 2.5 dB. The experimental results have a good agreement with the simulations. The proposed antenna is compact and easy tuning. It provides a promising antenna element for maritime satellite communication applications.

Abstract

The paper calculated the dispersion characteristic of asymmetrical coplanar waveguide (ACPW) using FDTD method. The results of theoretical calculation show very good agreement with XFDTD formulation and experimental data over a wide frequency range. And the time of the FDTD calculation is about one fourth of XFDTD formulation. On this basis, a novel approach for designing a UWB ACPW to slotline transition is presented. A slotline hollow patch creates open circuit conditions on one arm of the ACPW and resonates the transition so that maximum power transfer may occur. The S-parameters of ACPW-Slotline transition was calculated using FDTD method based on Mur-PML absorbing boundary condition. The results agree well with available theoretical and experimental data over a wide frequency range. It is shown that ACPW is easier to connect with slotline in circuit structure and impendence match compare with symmetrical CPW.

Abstract

The characteristic impedance of asymmetrical coplanar waveguide (ACPW) was calculated using multi-resolution time domain (MRTD) method which based on Daubechies compactly supported scaling functions. The good agreement between this paper and the conventional FDTD method was obtained. Efficiency of MRTD method was compared with FDTD method. Time and frequency domain results have been presented and explained. The curves of characteristic impedance varying with frequency were drawn from 1GHz to 60GHz. The effect of side strip width on characteristic impedance was analyzed.
