This is a protocol for a systematic review with meta-analysis. This systematic review is focused on summarizing, and critically assessing the available evidence Tai chi for chronic neck pain（CNP）. To this end, we will conduct a systematic appraisal of the literature, followed by a meta-analysis. We follow the PRISMA-P guidelines for meta-analysis protocols.

The prevalence rate of chronic neck pain（CNP） in the elderly is increasing. CNP in the elderly not only affects the physical function of patients, the quality of life, and work but also increases the direct medical cost and indirect social costs. Recent trends in the treatment of CNP, such as home self-exercise, focused specific training, and research into the underlying neural mechanisms of pain and cognitive improvement in patients with CNP, suggest that Tai Chi may be beneficial for pain and cognitive function in elderly patients with CNP.

Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is one of the most commonly found problems among the cancer survivors which affect all aspects of quality of life (QOL), but it is a treatable problem. CRF is the highly prevalent and debilitating symptom experienced by most of the cancer patients at diagnosis, which increase during therapy and often seen for considerable period of time (months and years) after well-structured cancer diagnosis. Globally, around 50%–90% of the cancer patients experiences the difficulties of cancer-related fatigue, the latter number resemble to the patients subjected to active anticancer chemotherapy and radiotherapy. CRF has been well-defined as per the guiding principle of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) as “a distressing, persistent, subjective sense of tiredness or exhaustion related to cancer or cancer treatment that is not proportional to recent activity and interferes with usual functioning.” Although a lot of evidence and research findings on CRF have been provided within the last two decades, CRF is still underreported, underdiagnosed, and undertreated. Effective management of CRF is important for patients and challenging for clinicians. Moxibustion appeared an efficacious auxiliary therapeutic method for CRF.

Primary insomnia is an independent disease, while it is also a symptom caused by or closely related to other physical or mental illnesses and sleep disorders. Insomnia often occurs temporarily and then improves; it may become chronic due to poor sleep habits, conditional hyperactivity, and cognitive distortions about sleep. Sleep disorders are common in the general population and yet are relatively poorly undiagnosed and untreated despite poor sleep strongly affects the quality of life of many people around the world.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a complex and debilitating chronic illness. Patients with CFS experience overwhelming fatigue that severely impacts their quality of life, with 25% of CFS patients chronically bedridden or housebound. It is accepted that the pathogenesis is likely to be a complex interaction that may include genetic predisposition, somatic triggers, and biopsychosocial factors. However, the etiology of CFS/ME remains poorly understood. CFS/ME can lead to the significant disability with subsequent economic costs.

Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is characterized by chronic debilitating fatigue of unknown cause. The symptoms of fatigue last for at least six months and, as a result of the appearance of fatigue, there is a significant decline in the patient's daily activities and this fatigue cannot be relieved by rest or increased nutrition. This study will provide a systematic evaluation to investigate the time management of non-drug therapy of TCM for chronic fatigue syndrome with insomnia.

Introduction Patients with cervical cancer often suffer from considerable psychological distress, especially depression and anxiety, which can seriously reduce the quality of life, shorten survival time and increase mortality. This review’s objective is to summarize data pertaining to the prevalence and risk factors of depression and anxiety in patients with cervical cancer. Methods and analysis Two reviewers will conduct a systematic search of databases including PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese Scientific Journal Database (VIP database) and Wan fang database for studies on the prevalence and risk factors of depression and anxiety in patients with cervical cancer, which should be published from inception to May 2021 in English and Chinese. The study selection, data extraction and risk of bias assessment will be performed by two independent reviewers. RevMan software (V.5.4) will be applied for statistical analysis. The extent of heterogeneity will be confirmed using I² test. Publication bias will be appraised by creating a funnel plot and conducting the Begg and Egger test. The Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation Tool criteria will be employed to evaluate the quality of the systematic review. Ethics and dissemination No ethical approval for this study is necessary since the primary data collection will not be involved. The results will be disseminated through a peer-reviewed journal.

Introduction Narcolepsy is one of the chronic sleep disorders characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness, accompanied by cataplexy, sleep paralysis, and hallucinations. Up to now, previous reviews of acupuncture for narcolepsy are gradually increasing. However, no systematic review has investigated the effectiveness and safety of this intervention. Therefore, the objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for narcolepsy. Methods and analysis Eight electronic databases, such as PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP database, Chinese Biomedical Literature database (CBM) and Wan fang database, will be searched from their inception to June 2021. Unpublished studies and gray literature should also be searched. All randomized controlled trials in Chinese and English on acupuncture for narcolepsy will be included. Two reviewers will independently conduct study selection, data extraction and risk assessment of bias. The Cochrane risk of bias tool will be applied to assess the risk of bias for the studies. We will carry out sensitivity analysis on the sample size of RCTs and publication bias analysis. The data will be synthesized using a random-effect model in accordance with the heterogeneity test. We will employ the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) system approach to assess the quality of evidence. Ethics and dissemination Ethical approval for this study is not necessary as it will not involve primary data collection. The results will be reported through peer-reviewed journals.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, causing more than 17.3 million deaths per year and possibly growing to more than 23.6 million deaths annually by 2030. With the growth and aging of the Chinese population, the prevalence of cardiovascular disease morbidity continues to rise. Angina is the main symptom of myocardial ischemia and is associated with an increased risk of major cardiovascular events and sudden cardiac death. Angina affects a mean of 3.4 million people older than 40 years each year. The most recent survey reported a prevalence of angina of 9.6% in China, making it a considerable burden on health care and medical costs considering China’s large population. Acupuncture has been used as nonpharmacologic treatment for several decades, especially to relieve symptoms of myocardial ischemia, improve cardiac function, and prevent recurrence. Several small studies have also shown that acupuncture was beneficial in treating angina, although others have reported discrepancies concerning the efficacy of true vs sham acupuncture (SA).

Background: The postoperative pain associated with total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is severe for most patients. The analgesic efficacy and safety of preoperative use of selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors for patients undergoing TKA are unclear. Objectives: We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess whether the use of selective COX-2 inhibitors before TKA decreases the postoperative pain intensity. Methods: Data sources: The PubMed, Embase, EBSCO, Web of Science, and Cochrane Controlled Register of Trials databases from inception to January 2020. Study eligibility criteria: All randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in which the intervention treatment was preoperative selective COX-2 vs placebo in patients undergoing TKA and that had at least one of the quantitative outcomes mentioned in the following section of this paper were included. Letters, review articles, case reports, editorials, animal experimental studies, and retrospective studies were excluded. Interventions: All RCTs in which the intervention treatment was preoperative selective COX-2 vs placebo in patients undergoing TKA. Study appraisal and synthesis methods: The quality of the RCTs was quantified using the Newcastle–Ottawa quality assessment scale. RevMan 5.3 software was used for the meta-analysis. Results: Six RCTs that had enrolled a total of 574 patients were included in the meta-analysis.
