Abstract

Introduction: The number of women who present this perineal loss is high. Identifying the existing knowledge about the women's experiences and perceptions of pregnancy loss is essential to understand the impact of the phenomenon on women. This identification is also crucial to adapt and improve the healthcare provided. Subjects and Methods: A systematic literature review, meta-synthesis, of qualitative studies will be developed with the goal of obtaining a comprehensive understanding of mothers' perception of pregnancy loss and identifying their specific support needs. Inclusion Criteria: This review will consider qualitative investigations that study the perceptions or experiences of adult women who have suffered prenatal loss. All studies published in English, Spanish or Portuguese between January 1, 2012, and December 31, 2022 will be considered. This systematic review will follow the Joanna Briggs Institute statement for systematic reviews of qualitative design. The Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, Scopus, CINAHL®, MEDLINE® and Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDRS) databases will be utilized for research. Data extraction will be performed in-peers by the researchers, using the Joanna Briggs Institute model. Finally, the available data will be analysed using a meta-aggregation approach. Conclusion: A better understanding of this phenomenon will be useful, identifying, on the one hand, the support needs of women who have suffered fetal loss and, on the other hand, also identifying the support and interventions that can be implemented by health professionals. Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objectivo estudar a sexualidade e o suporte social num grupo populacional da terceira idade. Foram seleccionados 119 participantes (com idades compreendidas entre os 65-88 anos), de ambos os géneros, pertencentes à classe média e/ou média-alta. Foram utilizados os seguintes instrumentos: Questionário Sócio-Demográfico, Questionário Da Vida Sexual Depois dos 60 Anos, Questionário sobre a Qualidade das Relações Íntimas e Questionário de Suporte Social – SSQ6. Fez-se uma comparação entre os géneros e os grupos de participantes com e sem parceiro sexual; os resultados mostraram diferenças estatisticamente significativas ao nível de algumas dimensões da sexualidade. Relativamente ao suporte social, embora sem diferenças significativas observadas, os participantes divergem face às fontes de apoio recebido. ABSTRACT: This work aims to study sexuality and social support in the population group of seniors. We selected 119 participants (aged 65-88 years) of both sexes, belonging to the middle class and/or medium-high. We used the following instruments: Socio-Demographic Questionnaire, Questionnaire Sexual Life After 60 Years, Questionnaire of Intimate Relationsships & Social Support Questionnaire – SSQ6. There was a comparison between genders and groups of participants with and without sexual partner, the results showed statistically significant differences in terms of some dimensions of sexuality. Relatively social support, but no significant differences observed, the participants disagree over the sources of support.

Abstract

Para evaluar la respuesta cuantitativa de los foraminíferos con en relación con los niveles maréales del estuario de Mira, se han desarrollado una serie de funciones de transferencia basadas en un matriz de datos compuesta por 29 muestras y 95 especies obtenidas en tres transeptos. La relación entre los resultados obtenidos e inferidos indica el óptimo funcionamiento de las funciones de transferencia (r2 jack = 0.87), lo cual implica que reconstrucciones de gran precisión (error: ± 12 cm) de los cambios recientes en el nivel marino son posibles. Por otro lado, es importante estudiar el posible efecto de la relación no lineal entre las mareas y la elevación de las muestras en los errores de reconstrucción

18. Modern and late Holocene foraminiferal record of restricted environmental conditions in the Albufeira Lagoon, SW Portugal

Abstract

Benthic foraminifera from twenty stations sampled twice were analyzed in order to examine the environmental conditions of the Albufeira coastal lagoon. Foraminiferal assemblages show an increase in the abundance, species diversity and allochthonous content seaward. Three zones have been defined: the inner and more restricted area of the lagoon where the main species are the euryhaline Ammonia tepida and Haynesina germanica; these two species together with Bulimina gibba and Brizalina britannica dominated the middle area; and, finally, in the mouth and marine- influenced back-barrier area the assemblages are made up of brackish and marine species such as A. tepida, Cribroelphidium williamsoni, Cibicides lobatulus and H. germanica. Additionally, samples from three cores were also examined. Sedimentological and micropalaeontological contents represent the last 2500 years of environmental evolution of the lagoon. Foraminiferal assemblages are not very abundant and they are dominated by H. germanica, A. tepida and Jadammina macrescens indicating very restricted conditions through time. In a regional context, and during the Late Holocene, after the development of a detrital barrier circa 5.5 cal yr BP, eustasy is considered to be a minor environmental control of the barrier-lagoonal system dynamics. Instead, environmental conditions were forced by local factors, such as frequency and duration of lagoon-ocean water exchanges, induced by both natural and artificial changes in the permeability of the sand-barrier.
