Abstract

Results indicate that single-electron oxidation of a metal-hydride center represents the mode of metal-hydride bond activation toward heterolytic cleavage with loss of proton. Furthermore, if the reaction comprises of more than one metal-hydride center mixed valent stable complexes are obtained.
