International audience; Retired adults’ motivations to travel: the influence of aging studied through the theory of gerotranscendenceThis research explores the travel motivations of retired adults. The influence of aging is investigated through theimpact of the spiritual dimension of the older traveler characterized by his gerotranscendence. The results of 17depth interviews with retired adults followed by a quantitative survey of 645 respondents lead to the identificationof the travel motivations of retired French adults and demonstrate the influence of gerotranscendence. Recom-mendations are made to help professionals reach this specific segment and answer its needs.; Cet article explore l’influence du vieillissement sur les motivations à voyager des retraités à travers la prise encompte de la dimension spirituelle du touriste âgé caractérisée par sa gérotranscendance. Les résultats d’uneétude qualitative menée auprès de 17 retraités, suivie d’une étude quantitative auprès de 645 répondants per-mettent d’identifier les motivations à voyager des retraités français et mettent en évidence l’influence de la géro-transcendance. Des recommandations sont formulées afin de mieux toucher cette clientèle spécifique et répondreà ses attentes.

International audience; We present the implementation of an economic experiment conducted simultaneously in 11 French cities, with over 2700 participants, during four uninterrupted hours, during a popular-science event held in September 2015. Our goal is both to provide a roadmap for a possible replication and to discuss how the discipline can invest in new fields (science popularization, popular education, public communication).; Nous présentons la mise en place d'une expérience lors d'un évènement grand public national, de manière simultanée dans 11 villes françaises, en septembre 2015. L’expérience a impliqué plus de 2700 participants et a duré quatre heures ininterrompues. L’objectif de cet article est à la fois de fournir une feuille de route pour une éventuelle réplication et de penser à la manière dont la discipline peut investir des terrains nouveaux (vulgarisation, pédagogie populaire, communication grand public).

Abstract

The construction, agricultural anaerobic digestion and freight transport and logistics sectors are the subject of three case studies that examine in turn public policies on the ‘greening’ of each sector, the development of new approaches to energy and the environment and, finally, the leading role that voluntary associations and regional authorities might play in giving impetus to, guiding and facilitating the environmental transition. The study identifies two competing principles underlying environmentally friendly practices and their dissemination within the training system. The first is based on energy savings, the second, less widespread one is based on a more holistic vision of the environmental issues at stake. As part of a study commissioned by the General Commission for Sustainable Development (CGDD ), Céreq has analysed the emergence of environmentally friendly professional practices in three sectors: construction, agricultural anaerobic digestion and freight transport and logistics.; Le bâtiment, la méthanisation agricole et le transport-logistique font l'objet de trois monographies qui abordent successivement les politiques publiques de verdissement du secteur, le développement des approches énergétiques ou plus écologiques et enfin le rôle éminent que peuvent jouer les associations et les collectivités territoriales pour impulser, guider et faciliter la transition écologique. L'étude identifie deux logiques concurrentes de pratiques écoresponsables et de leur transmission dans le cadre de la formation. La première est centrée sur les économies d'énergie, la seconde, moins diffusée, repose sur une vision globale des enjeux écologiques. L'étude a été conduite dans le cadre d'une convention de partenariat avec le Commissariat général au développement durable (CGDD ).

Abstract

We justify the role of taking notes and annotations within SMEs.We present an original semantic model for taking notes and annotations.Note and annotation are modeled as information resources.We present a collaborative web platform which is based on the semantic model. Managing knowledge (especially tacit knowledge) in small and medium sized enterprises has always been a challenge. They have special characteristics that are related to their size, structure and their members' coordination and collaboration. Theses specifications affect the process of knowledge management in such enterprises. In addition, they suffer from the missing of codified and standardized supports. All these factors illustrate the urgent need to provide them with an appropriate knowledge management solution. In this paper, the special needs for knowledge management in this kind of enterprises is illustrated. The importance of an effective note-taking tool is justified. A semantic model that takes into account these needs is presented. In addition, we explain our choice of MEMORAe web platform as a tool for knowledge organization. We also clarify the functionalities which have been added to MEMORAe platform in order to be dedicated to these enterprises. Finally, the web platform is introduced.

Abstract

Etudes & documents; This article proposes a classification of the projects of non-banking currencies based on a lexical analysis on the Web data. The advantage of this method is to offer an endogenous typology of the initiatives, based on the way the various currencies are presented on the internet. She so allows to by-pass the difficulty met in the literature which faces troubles in bringing to the foreground a clear taxonomy from exogeneous elements. The corpus was created from 32 keywords referring to the complementary currencies. The first 10 Urls of results under the search engine Google for each of the keywords was selected, then their text contents extracted. The corpus is so constituted by 320 web pages, corresponding to 1210 pages of text and 342 585 words, that is 17 939 segments of 20 successive occurrences. A classification of the corpus by a downward hierarchical analysis endogenously creates five different classes, allowing us to operate distinctions not only between the projects of non-banking currencies, but also between these and the standard monetary system. An analysis of similarity concludes that all the currencies define themselves with regard to the conventional currency, except the local exchange trading systems (LETs).

Abstract

hal-00950490, version 1; International audience; Consumer preferences for different variants of a given food product can be directly obtained with hedonic measurements or revealed with willingness-to-pay measurements. The aim of this paper is to present a comparison of the data collected using these two types of measurements on four data sets collected in our laboratory for different food products (bread, cooked ham, cheese and orange juice). This comparison was conducted at two levels (global and individual) and was based on two criteria: discrimination between variants and consistency in variant ranking. For the four data sets, hedonic measurements and willingness-to-pay measurements were collected for each participant in a 'full information' condition, i.e. in a condition where participants tasted each variant associated with extrinsic information. To reveal consumer willingness-to-pay, the BDM mechanism was used (Becker, DeGroot, & Marschak, 1964), which consists in real sales at a random price. Aggregate results were similar for the two measurements. In addition, in two out of four studies, willingness-to-pay measurements led to slightly higher discrimination between variants than hedonic measurements. At the individual level, more inconsistencies were found. This result is in line with previous studies. Nevertheless, participants were more consistent concerning the most-liked variant than concerning the least-liked variant. Our results also showed that hedonic score distributions did not reveal any cut-off point below which consumers chose the no-purchase option; this cut-off point largely depended on individuals and products.

Abstract

This paper investigates the motivations behind the trip duration in the destination country for Moldovan migrants. The New Economics of Labour Migration (NELM) asserts that preference for the home country; wage differential and migration costs drive the choice of the timing of return. Within this framework, we focus on the influence of the legal status of migrants (as part of the migration costs) and on the potential push or pull effects of the characteristics of the migrant's region of origin (influencing the choice of the migrant both in terms of wage differential and preference for the origin country). The central proposition is that undocumented migrants face higher migration costs than legal migrants and therefore have an incentive to stay in destination countries longer than migrants with documents in order to increase the amount of savings relative to the costs of entry on a given trip. To test this hypothesis we run a duration model using a national household dataset on migration in the Republic of Moldova collected in 2006 complemented with a regional dataset from Roscovan and Galer (2006). Evidence from parametric survival models supports our proposition and therefore recommends enforcing international laws as regards to the free movement of labor. In addition, the social regional development of the departure zone acts as a pull factor, claiming for more public development aid.
