Abstract

Requirement documents, including natural language statement sets, form the basis for system design. Their validation is a critical task. Formal methods exist to assist the designer in this way, but they appear too complex for practical use. This paper presents a new methodology that aims at reducing this gap. It is based on graphbased meaning representations and compositional transduction operations, so as to extract and formalize requirements in suitable formats. Our targets are automata enabling efficient formal reasoning. This proposal is also intended to be simple, reliable and transparent.

National audience; Le projet LangNum-br-fr 1 concerne la paire de langues français-breton et le numérique, dans un cadre pluridisciplinaire. Il regroupe des informaticiens spécialistes en traitement automatique des langues (Univ. Rennes & IRISA, LIG Grenoble, Univ Tours), des linguistes spécialistes des langues celtiques (CRBC) et des spécialistes des usages des TIC 2 (LOUSTIC Rennes2), en vue de valoriser des ressources pour le breton et avec une préoccupation pédagogique. Une analyse des besoins des apprenants en est la première étape avant la définition de traitements logiciels pour des meilleurs et nouveaux usages.

Abstract

This article explains the methodology we used and the results we obtained to answer the challenge in Défi EGC 2016, on data-mining articles published in this conference since 2004.Our approach is based on a fully automated pre-treatment based on public natural language processing ressources for both French and Englishand on an exploration tool based on logical information systems; these systems rely on formal concept analysis generalized to key-value data or to the semantic web., Nous présentons dans cet article les méthodes employées et les résul-tats obtenus en réponse au Défi EGC 2016. Notre approche repose d'une part sur des chaînes automatiques de traitements linguistiques en français et en an-glais utilisant le plus possible des ressources et outils publics et d'autre part sur un environnement d'exploration des données basé sur les systèmes d'informa-tion logiques ; ces systèmes exploitent une généralisation des treillis de concepts formels appliquée aux données attribut-valeur ou au web sémantique.

Abstract

International audience; This article presents an automated construction of a logical information context from a terminological resource, available in xml ; we apply this to the resource FranceTerme and to Camelis tool and we discuss how the resulting context can be used with such a tool dedicated to logical contexts. The purpose of this development and the choices related to this experiment is twofold : to facilitate the use of a rich linguistic resource available as open-data in xml ; to test and envision a systematic transformation of such xml resources to logical contexts. A logical view of a context allows to explore information in a flexible way, without writing explicit queries, it may also provide insights on the quality of the data. Such a context can be enriched by other information (of diverse natures), it can also be linked with other applications (according to arguments supplied by the context).

Abstract

We present a formal logical approach using a combinatory categorial grammar for entity level sentiment analysis that utilizes machine learning techniques for efficient syntactical tagging and performs a deep structural analysis of the syntactical properties of texts in order to yield precise results. The method should be seen as an alternative to pure machine learning methods for sentiment analysis, which are argued to have high difficulties in capturing long distance dependencies, and can be dependent on significant amount of domain specific training data. The results show that the method yields high correctness, but further investment is needed in order to improve its robustness.
