Two main types of subduction are recognized around the world: accretionary and erosive. The northern Peruvian margin is a well‐known example of a margin subjected to subduction erosion, but to date the along‐margin variability and temporal changes in subduction process and forearc basin evolution have not been characterized in detail. Interpretation of regional seismic lines and integration of oil‐industry wells and seafloor data captures the erosive nature of subduction underneath the forearc with only a minor accretionary component to the north. Episodes of uplift driven by plate coupling were followed by normal faulting/extensional collapse due to plate decoupling. This mechanism explains the dominance of normal faulting across the forearc until the Oligocene with a slight reactivation within the Miocene. The subduction history is complex and includes a reduction in plate convergence rate related to forearc crustal shortening, represented by large‐scale structures including the Peru fault (reactivated) and the Illescas fault‐propagation anticlines of the Northwest Peru transpressional system. This crustal deformation started in the Miocene. Integration with magnetic anomaly data indicates that activity of the present‐day transpressional system driven by tectonic escape of the Nazca Sliver toward the northeast, may explain the seismicity gap in southern Ecuador and northern Peru. An evolutionary model of the northern Peruvian margin shows how subduction zone geodynamics left its erosive fingerprint in the forearc basin configuration. Plain Language Summary: The subduction process can be classified as accretionary or erosive. However, the northern Peruvian margin shows marked variability, being dominantly erosive but with a minor accretionary component. Geophysical data show that deformation is represented by a transpressional system, including the Peru fault and Illescas fault‐propagation anticlines, driven by tectonic escape of the Nazca Sliver. Forearc basin‐fill records cycles of uplift followed by extensional collapse, driven by cycles of plate coupling and decoupling. Subduction zone geodynamics leaves its fingerprint in the fills of forearc basins, in this case by basal and frontal crustal tectonic erosion. Aims: The current study aimed to evaluate implementation fidelity of an Integrated Healthy Lifestyle Service (IHLS). Methods: A pragmatic sample of 28 individual interviews and 11 focus groups were conducted. This resulted in a total of 81 (22 male) individuals comprising key stakeholders (n = 18), as well as intervention staff across senior management (n = 4), team lead (n = 14) and practitioner (n = 11) roles, and intervention clients (n = 34). Results: A mixed degree of implementation fidelity was demonstrated throughout the five a priori fidelity domains of study design, provider training, intervention delivery, intervention receipt, and enactment. Stakeholders, staff and clients alike noted a high degree of intervention receipt across all services offered. Contrastingly, practitioners noted that they received minimal formal operational, data systems, clinical, and curriculum training as well as a lack of personal development opportunities. Consequently, practitioners reported low confidence in delivering sessions and collecting and analysing any data. A top-down approach to information dissemination within the service was also noted among practitioners which affected motivation and overall team morale. Conclusion: Results can be used to conceptualise best practices as a process to further strengthen the design, delivery and recruitment strategies of the IHLS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Brevibacillus laterosporus, an endospore-forming, aerobic, Gram-positive bacillus, is not only a potential biocontrol agent against plant pathogens but also a rare cause of human infection. Its pathogenicity in humans, especially in immunocompetent individuals, is still not fully understood. Skin infections caused by B. laterosporus are typically opportunistic, entering the skin through cuts, wounds, or other breaches in the skin’s protective barrier, as in the case presented here.
