To evaluate the epidemiological profile of oral lesions with the potential to be malignant in users monitored by two family health teams in the municipality of Quixadá. Descriptive cross-sectional and exploratory epidemiological study of a quantitative nature. Data collection took place through semi-structured individual routine consultations with questions relevant to the research and statistical treatments were performed in Microsoft Excel 2016. Of the 80 participants in the study, 4 had a family history of oral cancer, 14 were smokers and/or alcoholic and 14 had excessive exposure to the sun, with 2 patients with lesions detected. It was possible to know the epidemiological profile of users, including their habits and socioeconomic factors. It is concluded that there is a need to develop health policies that encourage self-care, health promotion that takes users' autonomy for knowledge and detection of potentially malignant lesions.
