Aim: This study tested the mediating role of the nurse–patient relationship and self‐rated health in the effect of emotional labour on turnover intention among nurses in China. Background: The underlying mechanism behind the effect of emotional labour on turnover intention remains inadequately understood. Introduction: Nurses with a high level of emotional labour are predisposed to experiencing poor health and tension in their relationships with patients, which may increase turnover intention. Methods: A cross‐sectional survey of 527 nurses in a public tertiary hospital in Qiqihar, located in China's Heilongjiang province, was conducted. Emotional labour and turnover intention were assessed using existing validated scales containing multiple items, while the nurse–patient relationship and self‐rated health were assessed using single items, respectively. Baron and Kenny's causal steps and the Karlson/Holm/Breen method were adopted to test the mediating effects of the nurse–patient relationship and self‐rated health in the association between emotional labour and turnover intention after adjusting for variations in sociodemographic and job characteristics. Results: Emotional labour was positively associated with turnover intention. Self‐rated poor health and a disharmonious nurse–patient relationship partially mediated the positive effect of emotional labour on turnover intention. Conclusions: Emotional labour significantly affects the turnover intention of nurses working in public tertiary hospitals in China, and this effect is partially mediated by self‐rated health and the nurse–patient relationship. Implications for nursing practice and nursing policy: Giving more attention to nurses' negative emotions and work attitudes is crucial. Developing comprehensive strategies for enhancing nurses' emotional management ability, promoting their physical and psychological well‐being, and improving nurse–patient relationship to reduce nurses' turnover. We discovered that employing inappropriate calibration curves for activity evaluation resulted in false positive results. Specifically, an artificial efficiency of hydrogen production is exaggerated by up to 2.2-fold if the calibration curves are misused, leading to considerably high false positive results. Our study highlights the importance of utilizing the correct calibration curve to ensure a true performance, and is beneficial for fostering advancements in the development of thermal-assisted photocatalysis. Yellow horn (Xanthoceras sorbifolia bunge) is a small endemic oilseed energy plant native to the northern part of China, which can survive in desert, semi-arid and arid environment, and therefore has important economic, environmental and ecological value for biodiesel production, agricultural production and ecological restoration. With the increased concerns on the energy shortage and ecological environment change, yellow horn has won worldwide attention in recent years. However, the systematic molecular analysis of yellow horn using the advanced molecular biological techniques still remain limited. Considering this, we summarized the recent advances in the investigations of yellow horn at molecular level and discussed the future research directions and prospects. This review would provide guidance and open new horizons towards the futuristic development and prospects for further exploitation and utilization of yellow horn. Subnanocluster (SNC) cocatalysts are considered to be promising cocatalysts for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) due to their rich surface-active sites and high atom utilization efficiency. Herein, a reductant-mediated in situ growth of the atomic clusters procedure is developed to synthesize SNC-Cu serving as advanced cocatalysts on TiO2 nanoparticles for HER. The optimized SNC-Cu/TiO2 catalyst, with 1.8 wt % metal mass loading, exhibits a remarkable hydrogen evolution rate of 6832 μmol g–1 h–1, which is ca. 25-fold that of bare TiO2 (273 μmol g–1 h–1 and comparable to that of 1 wt % Pt-modified TiO2 (7754 μmol g–1 h–1). Meanwhile, decent photostability and recyclability are also certified via a 20 h durability test. Comprehensive electron microscopy and spectroscopy characterizations unveil that the outstanding performance of SNC-Cu/TiO2 can be attributed to accelerated charge separation/transfer and suppressed photoinduced electron–hole recombination. Furthermore, in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and first-principle calculations reveal that the electron-localized SNC-Cu, with its abundant surface sites, facilitates *H adsorption and desorption, thus enhancing the HER activity significantly. Single metal atoms decorated on earth‐abundant transition‐metal‐based supports have attracted intensive attention toward oxygen evolution reaction (OER) due to their decent activity and low cost. However, further optimizing the catalytic performance is severely plagued by the limited active sites. Conventional optimization relies primarily on increasing the metal loading but is extremely difficult. Thus, it is imperative to go beyond the current design paradigms. Herein, it is reported that the anchored highly active single metal atoms can reinforce the electrochemical reconstruction of the supports and thus yield more substrate active sites. Consequently, increased amount of active sites and enhanced intrinsic activity can be readily realized simultaneously. Taking Ni2P4O12 decorated with single Ir atoms as a typical example, an extraordinary activity of η10 = 186 mV and η100 = 238 mV and robust stability up to 108 h are achieved. Mechanistic study uncovers that the reinforced reconstruction of Ni2P4O12 originates from the promoted PO43− leaching by single Ir atoms, which is an intrinsic feature of the supports to achieve such reinforcement. The proposed concept, decorating single metal atoms on supports featured by facile anion leaching, opens a new avenue to the design of practical electrocatalysts for efficient OER. Artificial photosynthesis in carbon dioxide (CO2) conversion into value-added chemicals attracts considerable attention but suffers from the low activity induced by sluggish separation of photogenerated carriers and the kinetic bottleneck-induced unsatisfied selectivity. Herein, we prepare a new-style Bi/TiO2 catalyst formed by pinning bismuth clusters on TiO2 nanowires through being confined by pores, which exhibits high activity and selectivity towards photocatalytic production of CH4 from CO2. Boosted charge transfer from TiO2 through Bi to the reactants is revealed via in situ X-ray photon spectroscopy and time-resolved photoluminescence (PL). Further, in situ Fourier transform infrared results confirm that Bi/TiO2 not only overcomes the multi-electron kinetics challenge of CO2 to CH4 via boosting charge transfer, but also facilitates proton production and transfer as well as the intermediates ⋆CHO and ⋆CH3O generation, ultimately achieving the tandem catalysis towards methanation. Theoretical calculation also underlies that the more favorable reaction step from ⋆CO to ⋆CHO on Bi/TiO2 results in CH4 production with higher selectivity.
