Abstract

A composite was prepared by in-situ polymerization of liquid crystal epoxy ([LCE.sub.4]) with a low dielectric and high thermal conductivity boron nitride (BN) filler, which the filler (f-BN) was surface-functionalized by [gamma]-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (KH560) and aminopropylisobutyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (N[H.sub.2]-POSS). The surface-functionalized BN was more uniformly dispersed in [LCE.sub.4], which improved the interfacial compatibility between inorganic and organic phases. Compared with pure [LCE.sub.4], KH560, and N[H.sub.2]-POSS modified f-BN/[LCE.sub.4] composites exhibited a higher glass transition temperature, better thermal stability, and higher thermal conductivity. For example, when the f-BN content reached 30 wt%, the energy storage modulus of the composite increased to 2580 MPa, and the glass transition temperature was 103[degrees]C. The thermal conductivity of this 30 wt % f-BN composite was 0.48 W [m.sup.-1] [K.sup.-1],128.6% higher than that of pure [LCE.sub.4]. In addition, thermal stability, low hygroscopicity, and dielectric properties of the composites were characterized and analyzed to explore the application prospects of f-BN/[LCE.sub.4] composites in electronic packaging and in high-performance microelectronic devices. Abstract

The water adsorption process by dough films at 20 and 40 ℃ was measured using a dynamic vapor sorption system under nine relative humidity (RH) levels. Water diffusivity was expressed as a function of water content and temperature according to the Vrentas & Duda free volume theory. The parameters of the free volume model were obtained by inversion of water content as a function of time. The results showed that the water diffusion coefficient determined based on the free volume theory could well simulate the water adsorption process by dough films at most water contents tested, but the predicted values were significantly lower than the actual ones at low water contents. Therefore, the Vrentas & Duda was improved by adding a free volume term as a function of water content. As the water content increased, the water diffusion coefficient slightly decreased initially, then increased, and finally increased rapidly. Finally, the mechanism of water diffusion at low water contents was discussed from the perspectives of β-transition and free volume changes.

Abstract

With the help of a power-domain non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) scheme, satellite networks can simultaneously serve multiple users within limited time/spectrum resource block. However, the existence of channel estimation errors inevitably degrade the judgment on users' channel state information (CSI) accuracy, thus affecting the user pairing processing and suppressing the superiority of the NOMA scheme. Inspired by the advantages of machine learning (ML) algorithms, we propose an improved support vector machine (SVM) scheme to reduce the inappropriate user pairing risks and enhance the performance of NOMA based satellite networks with imperfect CSI. Particularly, a genetic algorithm (GA) is employed to optimize the regularization and kernel parameters of the SVM, which effectively improves the classification accuracy of the proposed scheme. Simulations are provided to demonstrate that the performance of the proposed method is better than that with random user paring strategy, especially in the scenario with a large number of users.
