Amidoxime-functionalized hydrogels are one of most promising adsorbents for high-efficiency uranium (U) extraction from seawater, but bioadhesion on their surface seriously decreases their adsorption efficiency and largely shortens their service life. Herein, a semi-interpenetrating zwitterion–poly(amidoxime) (ZW-PAO) hydrogel was explored through introducing a PAO polymer into a poly [3-(dimethyl 4-vinylbenzyl amino) propyl sulfonate] (PDVBAP) polyzwitterionic (PZW) network via ultraviolet (UV) polymerization. Owing to the anti-polyelectrolyte effect of the PZW network, this ZW-PAO hydrogel can provide excellent super-hydrophilicity in seawater for high-efficiency U-adsorption from seawater. Furthermore, the ZW-PAO hydrogel had outstanding anti-biofouling performance for both highly enhanced U-adsorption and a relatively long working life in natural seawater. As a result, during only 25 days in seawater (without filtering bacteria), the U-uptake amount of this ZW-PAO hydrogel can reach 9.38 mg/g and its average rate can reach 0.375 mg/(g∙day), which is excellent among reported adsorbents. AbstractUsing a micro-level representative dataset of China, the very first paper empirically analyzes the relationship between marital decision-making power and husband’s happiness. While employing the OLS and ordinal logit model, the paper finds a negative effect of husband’s marital decision-making power on his happiness in contemporary transitioning China. The conclusion remains consistent even after conducting additional robustness tests, such as propensity score matching and instrument variable analysis. The negative effect is particularly noticeable among educated men and those men living in environments that emphasize egalitarian gender ideologies, as they tend to reject the notion of men being dominant in the family. Our findings highlight the increasing acceptance of egalitarian gender ideologies among Chinese men, especially those with higher socioeconomic status, as a result of socioeconomic advancements. This paper uses the China Family Panel Studies to investigate the relationship between educational difference between partners and wife's happiness. Employing some econometric models, this paper finds that the status of wife having more education than husband has a negative impact on wife's happiness. To alleviate the endogeneity of educational difference, this paper uses an instrument variable approach to identify the causal relationship between them, and obtains conclusions consistent with the baseline regression. Heterogeneous analysis shows that for women who are less educated and subject to external traditional cultural norms, the negative happiness effect of wife having more education than husband is particularly significant. While greatly influenced by traditional cultural norms, these women are not only unwilling but also afraid to deviate from the role orientation of women in the existing social norms. In recent years, network attention based on the effect of Internet traffic has played an increasingly obvious role in promoting the development of enterprises. This paper matches the data of China's A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2019 with the Internet search index, and empirically analyzes the impact of network attention on enterprise growth from the perspective of enterprise life cycle. The research results show that the increase in network attention can significantly promote the growth of enterprises. However, from the perspective of enterprise life cycle, the effect of Internet traffic on the promotion of enterprise growth is only significant in the growth period. At the same time, the effect of network attention on the growth of enterprises shows heterogeneous effects by enterprise types, geographical characteristics and industries. Further research shows that alleviating early financing constraints and reducing corporate defaults are intermediary channels through which network attention affects corporate growth. The right-angle corners and spherical corners were arranged in the grading part of the flow channel to improve the filling imbalance of microinjection-molded parts. An eight-cavity injection mold with micro-cylinder holes at diameters of 200 and 300 μm was designed. The injection-molding experiment was carried out with high-density polyethylene (PE-HD) as a raw material. The results indicated that as the injection rate and mold temperature increased gradually, the spherical corners became better than the right-angle ones for improving filling imbalance. With an increase in the feature size of the micro-cylindrical hole, the improvement of the filling imbalance could be further enhanced by the right-angle corners and the spherical corners. Programmable stimuli‐responsive hydrogels have rapidly developed for various complex biomimetic actuations, but they commonly can only be programmed once. Herein, a flatworm‐like hydrogel (FLH) with bi‐surface double‐network structure (photothermal‐responsive FLH‐1 and pH‐responsive FLH‐2) has been explored, through UV‐polymerizing sodium poly(methylacrylic‐acid) (PMAA‐Na) and poly (N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) second‐networks on two surfaces of polyacrylamide‐graphene (PAAm‐G) substrate hydrogel first‐network respectively. First, the graphene can both control the thickness of the UV‐polymerized surface second‐network and endow the FLH with high‐efficient photothermal conversion for near‐infrared light (NIR)‐responsive actuation. More importantly, different from common pH‐/photothermal bi‐responsive actuating hydrogels, one FLH can be designed as various original shapes by pH‐responsive FLH‐2, for reprogrammable NIR‐responsive multimode complex actuations via FLH‐1. Finally, the FLH‐1 and FLH‐2 can be strongly integrated together by the interpenetrating structure of flatworm‐like structure between second‐network and first‐network, to endow the FLH with excellent stability for enduring complex deformations. Consequently, the synergy of re‐programmable original shapes via FLH‐2 and NIR‐responsive actuation by FLH‐1, can endow one FLH with multimode actuations for high‐level biomimetic devices. This work can provide a general method by non‐touching design of re‐programmable hydrogel with two stimuli‐responsive layers for multimode complex actuations, which also will inspire explorations of other reprogrammable intelligent materials.
