Abstract

This paper deals with the nonlinear stochastic dynamics of an orchard tower sprayer subjected to random excitations due to soil irregularities. A consistent stochastic model of uncertainties is constructed to describe random loadings and to predict variabilities in mechanical system response. The dynamics is addressed in time and frequency domains. Monte Carlo method is employed to compute the propagation of uncertainties through the stochastic model. Numerical simulations reveals a very rich dynamics, which is able to produce chaos. This numerical study also indicates that lateral vibrations follow a direct energy cascade law. A probabilistic analysis reveals the possibility of large lateral vibrations during the equipment operation.

Abstract

Cargo transport to the space station and the transport of satellites to orbit the Earth are necessary for not only scientific analysis, but also for the telecommunications sector; therefore, the use of rockets with propellant fuel has been growing. Therefore, our manuscript proposes a mathematical model to analyze nonlinear dynamic behavior. Such a model is based on Mathieu's solution. However, we consider that the application of force for rocket propulsion is not ideal. The formulation of the applied force is based on Bessel s equations and has a dependence on parameters (ao and bo) that enable interesting characteristics. such as ao = 0 which makes it possible to turn the non-ideal force into a force ideal, that is, a simple oscillatory force. And as a result. the parametric set was established to diagnose the chaotic and periodic behavior that can be observed in mathematical modeling. Establishing these analyzes allows the application of future work in the development of control projects to reduce vibrations that can cause anomalies in the trajectories for the system's entry into orbit. Abstract

In this article, we investigate a tower with a non-linear motor, in which we propose a mathematical model that describes the vibrations of a tower-type system with a non-ideal motor coupled, for a prototype of a wind turbine. With that, State-Dependent Riccati Equation Control (SDRE) to suppress the jump caused by the Sommerfeld Effect in the structure to a desired periodic orbit. And as a result, we control the system and suppress the bounce that is observed so that the amplitude of the vibrations decreases. Such a decrease in the amplitude of vibrations can prevent malfunctions, or even disasters. Vibration control in wind generators is important to ensure that wind turbine operation is safe, reliable, and efficient. Excessive vibrations can cause damage to components such as the wind turbine's rotating blades and shorten their service life. Abstract

En el siguiente artículo se discuten algunas ideas acerca del tratamiento de la categoría de reflejo a partir de su sobredimensionamiento e introducción desde la filosofía. De esta manera, se pretende realizar el abordaje de sus implicaciones y consecuencias en el desarrollo de la psicología histórico cultural. Las reflexiones teóricas que favorecen este análisis crítico se sustentan en la necesidad de nuevos abordajes, que toman como referente la propuesta teórica sobre la subjetividad desarrollada por González Rey desde una perspectiva compleja. En este sentido se analiza el valor heurístico de nuevos constructos teóricos, como los sentidos subjetivos y las configuraciones subjetivas orientados a trascender las limitaciones del reflejo como referente universal en el estudio de los procesos psicológicos.

Abstract

Purpose: Older people living in nursing homes have complex care needs and frequently need specialists' advice and support that can be challenging to deliver in a rural setting. The aim of this paper is to describe a model of integrated care in a rural area supported by a nurse case manager. Design/methodology/approach: A real-world evidence study of people living in Ribes de Freser nursing home, was conducted between specific timeframes in 2019 and 2022, comparing the casemix and outcomes of a traditional care model with the integrated interdisciplinary model. Findings: The integrated care model led to a significant reduction in transfers to the emergency department, hospitalisations, outpatient medical visits and a reduction in the number of medicines. In addition, the number of residents receiving end-of-life care at the nursing home showed a substantial increase. Originality/value: This case study contributes valuable evidence supporting the implementation of an integrated model of nurse case manager support in nursing homes, particularly in the rural contexts, where access to specialist medical staff may be limited. The findings highlight the potential benefits of person-centred integrated care for older adults, addressing their complex needs and improving end-of-life care in nursing home settings. 30. On Non-ideal and Chaotic Energy Harvester Behavior

Abstract

Abstract: In this paper, we deal with the research of a proposed mathematical model of energy harvesting, including nonlinearities in the piezoelectric coupling and a non-ideal force of excitation. We showed using numerical simulations to analysis of the dynamic responses that, the power harvested was influenced by the nonlinear vibrations of the structure, as well as by the influence of the non-linearities in the piezoelectric coupling. We concluded through of the numerical results that the limited energy source was interacting with the system. Thus, the increasing of the voltage in DC motor led the system produce a good power response, especially in high-energy orbits in the resonance region, but the Sommerfeld effect occurs in the system and a chaotic behavior was found in the post-resonance region. So the power harvested along the time decreases because occurs loses of energy due the interaction between energy source and structure. Keeping the energy harvested constant over time is essential to make possible the use of energy harvesting systems in real applications. To achieve this objective, we applied a control technique in order to stabilize the chaotic system in a periodic stable orbit. We announced that the results were satisfactory and the control maintained the system in a stable condition.

Abstract

Introduction: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is a complex treatment, with healing potential, however, it presents a significant risk of serious complications and consequent impairment in health-related quality of life. Given this scenario, it is necessary for the health team to recognize the demands that patients are exposed to, and the coping strategies used, in order to promote interventions that aim to improve health-related quality of life, and decrease the discomforts resulting from the diagnosis and treatment. Objective: To correlate the use of religious/spiritual coping with quality of life after five years of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Method: Analytical and longitudinal study, with 55 patients in a referral hospital for the procedure in Latin America. Data were collected from 2013 to 2021, with the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy – Bone Marrow Transplantation and Religious/Spiritual Coping Scale questionnaires. Correlations between variables by the Spearman’s correlation coefficient. Results: 30 patients died before completing five years of treatment. Quality of life showed better rates in the fifth year (116.1/148). There was greater use of positive religious/spiritual coping (3.15/5.00). Objective: to describe the process of creating and using the site to collect research data in clinical simulation. Methodology: This is a descriptive research in which a website created was developed and used to collect two dissertations of data in the area of ​​clinical simulation. Results: The validation materials for the Creighton instrument and assessment sites: virtual information was developed with nursing students, containing the research steps, simulation support links and the data collection form, videos of data collection scenarios. The sites had 1,093 and 415 hits and 30 and 60, respectively. Conclusion: The website is useful for collecting research and reaching data services according to digital material and can be useful as objectives and objectives created from the research. Goals of this Research Topic: (1) to identify and share the best recent practices and innovations related to social, environmental and health policies; (2) to debate on relevant governance modes, management tools as well as evaluation and impact assessment techniques; (3) to discuss dilemmas in the fields of management, financing, designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining the sustainability of innovative models of delivering social, health and care services; and (4) to recognize and analyze social, technological and health innovation that has emerged or has been scaled-up to respond to crisis situations, for example, a pandemic of the COVID-19 coronavirus disease.

Abstract

Innovation is progressively needed in responding to global challenges. Moreover, the increasing complexity of challenges implies demand for the usage of multisectoral and policy mix approaches. Wicked problems can be tackled by "integrated innovation" that combines the coordinated implementation of social, technological, and health innovation co-created by entities of the public sector, the private sector, the non-governmental sector, and the informal sector. This Research Topic focuses on filling the knowledge gaps about the selected types of innovation. First, regarding social innovation that can be understood as new strategies, concepts, products, services, and organizational forms that allow the satisfaction of human needs. Second, a technological innovation that refers to new or remarkably improved products, goods, or services in terms of their technical specifications, components, materials, software, design, or other functional features. Third, health innovation that focuses on novel or enhanced health policies, systems, products, technologies, services, and care delivery schemes to improve people's health. Finally, this Research Topic highlights attempts to develop integrated innovation that can add value to social policy, health policy, and environmental policy by improving efficiency, effectiveness, quality, sustainability, safety, and affordability.
