With the development of the Internet and information technologies, new communication tools have been created that allow researchers to present their research results and communicate with each other. Using visual and audio resources to share research results is a new type of scholarly communication essential for disseminating knowledge and has recently been the focus of journals. Our objective was to help authors, journal editors, and publishers become familiar with the criteria they should consider when producing standard video abstracts. This descriptive study used content analysis. We systematically searched the Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus to identify journals with video abstracts and analyzed their authors’ guidelines to extract the criteria needed for producing and evaluating video abstracts. The research community comprised 209 journals with video abstracts. After reviewing their authors' guidelines, we found that only 90 journals mentioned video abstracts in their authors’ guidelines. Of 90 journals, 22 dedicated authors’ guidelines and 68 journals belong to nine different publishers. Therefore, 31 authors’ guidelines were examined in this study using MAXQDA 12. We identified six main categories, six subcategories, and 87 criteria for producing and evaluating video abstracts. The six main categories included the type of video, technical features, provider features, presentation features, legal aspects, and criteria for publishing and sending video abstracts. Most criteria were related to the technical characteristics of video abstracts, and the least number of criteria were related to attention to legal aspects during the production and evaluation of these abstracts. The scientific community now uses video abstracts as a complementary medium to articles. Researchers can use this type of abstract to share their research results with others. Authors and journals should pay attention to the production criteria when planning to use this type of abstract so that by preparing a suitable video abstract, they can more effectively convey the results of their research to the audience and lead to the promotion of science. - Abstract
The population and importance of camels in human life have improved in recent years. As genetics and genomics are becoming a more comprehensive section of life sciences, studying genetic/genomic aspects of the camelid nutrition, milk production, reproduction, immunity, disease and racing ability has become common in recent years. This study was conducted based on text mining and scientometrics techniques. To employ relevant information from Web of Science (WoS), a search strategy was developed to retrieve the “genetics or genomics” and words/phrases related to “camelids”. The statistical population of this study included 3830 publications over a period of 50 years (1971–2020). A total of 3830 publications were retrieved that included 3269 research articles (85.35% of the publications) and 224 review articles (5.85% of the publications). The most frequent subject groups were “Veterinary Sciences” including 862 publications. In total, articles on camelid genomics were published in 1345 journals. Moreover, 127 countries contributed to these 3830 publications, with the USA being the leading country both in number of publications and international collaboration. During the 1971–2010 time period, the phrases “MERS-CoV” and “coronavirus” did not exist in the literature at all, while in the last decade, with 140 and 63 times (5.36% and 2.41%, respectively), they were the most frequent keywords. In general, the most important topics studied from the perspective of camelid genomics have been population genetics and pathogens and their diagnosis, as well as camelid immunity. Future studies should pay special attention to the specificity of camelid genomics for hosting the coronavirus. Furthermore, the special structure of humoral immunity in camels makes this section attractive in immunogenetics research.

Background: Tracheal stenosis remains a challenge in the thoracic surgery field. Recognizing the hot topics and major concepts in this area would help the health policy makers to determine their own priorities and design the effective research plans. The present study analyzed and mapped the topics and trends of tracheal stenosis studies over time as well as authors' and countries' contributions. Materials and Methods: Search results were obtained employing Bibexcel. To determine cold and hot topics, co-occurrence analysis was applied using three international databases 'Web of Science', 'PubMed' and 'Scopus'. Appropriately, different categories in the articles such as keywords, authors, and countries were explored via VOSviewer and NetDraw. Afterward, the trends of research topics were depicted in four time-intervals from 1945 to 2015 by ten co-occurrence terms. Results: The majority of articles were limited to case series and retrospective studies. The studies had been conducted less frequently on prevention, risk factors and incidence determination but extensively on treatment and procedures. Based on the articles indexed in WOS, 45 countries and 8,260 authors have contributed to scientific progress in this field. The highest degree of cooperation occurred between the USA and England with 15 common papers. Conclusions: Most of the published literature in tracheal stenosis research field was about surgical and non-surgical treatments. Conducting the screening and prevention studies would diminish the burden of this disease on the health system as well as the patients and their families' well-being. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
To have a better contribution to the poultry production community, the Poultry Science Association founded journals including Poultry Science(PS) at 1921. Now, after 100 yr of publishing, PS ranks between the top 10 journals in the category of “agriculture, dairy, and animal science”. One hundred years after publishing the first paper in PS, the poultry industry has been completely revolutionized. Hence, it will be interesting to establish scientometrics study of the PS development during the last century. Therefore, based on findings of the current study, among countries/authors’ collaborations, future research fronts, and possibility of hot topics in the coming years may be predictable. Accordingly, a total of 22,451 articles were retrieved. For content analyses, according to the PS categorization for subject areas, 14 different subject areas were developed, including “behavior, breeding and quantitative genetics, education and extension, health and welfare, immunology, management and environment, metabolism and nutrition, microbiology and virology, modeling, molecular biology, physiology and anatomy, production, products, processing and marketing, and reproduction”. Considering the 100-yr of PS, the most frequent subject area was “nutrition and metabolism” (14,109 articles), and “modeling” (1,114 articles) attracted less scholarly attention. However, considering the last decade (2011–2020), the most important subject area was “molecular biology” (1,420 of 2,466 articles; 57.58%), followed by “modeling” (544 of 1,144 articles; 48.88%). Moreover, the most frequent poultry species/strains were broilers (retrieved in 6,156 articles), followed by laying hens, turkeys, and quail. Considering collaboration of countries and researchers, it can be said that a total number of 108 countries contributed to PS, with the most prolific country being United States (with 9,421 articles; 43.16%), followed by China, Canada, the Netherlands, and Japan. Among the authors, Harms RH (287 articles), and Siegel PB (208) were the most prolific authors, and Siegel PB and Dunnington EA (71 articles) had more collaborations. To study keyword trends, including 3 time periods broilers was the central co-occurrent keyword, while the importance of chickens and turkeys declined during the time. Salmonellaspp. was a constant representative of poultry microbiology during 100 yr. While “nutrition and metabolism” was the most important subject area, nutrition-related keywords (major items) were not concentrated and co-occurred with a variety of keywords from different subject areas. While “molecular biology” ranked first over the past decade, the importance of “nutrition and metabolism” should not be ignored. In fact, in recent years, molecular basis of the nutrition has been studied. In big-data era and due to developing the molecular biology technologies, it seems that using mathematical modeling and computational methodologies will increase and probably remains as one of the most attractive research areas for scientists at least in the upcoming future decades.
