Abstract Sophisticated interactions between stromal and immune cells play crucial roles in various biological and pathological processes. In chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), the upper airway inflammation in many patients is driven by TH2, ILC2, and eosinophils, thus being treated with glucocorticoids and anti-type 2 inflammation biologics. The resistance to these therapies is often associated with neutrophilic inflammation, which has also been widely identified in CRSwNP, but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Using single-cell analysis, spatial transcriptomics, and T-cell receptor sequencing, we identify an increased presence of granzyme K+(GZMK+) CD8+ T cells in NPs, which possess a phenotype distinct from the cytotoxic GZMB+ effector CD8+ T subset. GZMK+CD8+ T cells are found to express CXCR4 and interact with CXCL12-secreting fibroblasts, inducing the latter to produce neutrophil chemoattractants in a manner uniquely mediated by GZMK but not other granzymes. This GZMK+CD8+ T cell-fibroblast crosstalk is also observed in other inflammatory diseases. Furthermore, GZMK+CD8+ T cells exhibit a selective expansion of clones that recognize Epstein-Barr virus. Here, we show that GZMK marks a phenotypically distinct subset of effector CD8+ T cells that promote neutrophilic inflammation.

To improve the combustion behavior of potassium perchlorate-based pyrotechnics, this study successfully prepared perovskite LaFeO3 with nitrates as raw materials using the co-precipitation method and characterized perovskite LaFeO3 through X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS). Moreover, it investigated the catalytic effect of LaFeO3 on the thermal decomposition of potassium perchlorate (KP) through the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TG) and explored the thermal reaction behavior of pyrotechnics composed of KP and lactose. The results show that the thermal decomposition temperature of KP was 552 ​°C by adding LaFeO3, reduced by 58 ​°C. The temperature of catalytic decomposition was exactly the extrapolated onset temperature of the endothermic melting peak of KP. The addition of LaFeO3 caused the premature decomposition of the KP not yet molten, thus generating more heat in its thermal decomposition. Moreover, the addition of LaFeO3 reduced the thermal reaction peak temperature of pyrotechnics by 7 ​°C and increased the burning rate to more than two times.

Abstract Background The double-lumen tube (DLT) is an essential equipment for thoracic anesthesia and the precise position of DLT placement is particularly important for anesthesia and surgery. However, the incidence of DLT malposition remains high and it leads to lung isolation failure and hypoxemia during one-lung ventilation. This trial aims to explore the clinical application and efficacy of intubation in the lateral position under general anesthesia induction to reduce the incidence of DLT malposition in patients undergoing unilateral video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS). Methods In this prospective, single-center, parallel group, randomized, controlled trial, we will recruit 108 patients, aged 18–80 years, scheduled for elective unilateral VATS with DLT intubation under general anesthesia, and they will be randomly assigned to two groups: a lateral DLT intubation group (group L) and a conventional supine DLT intubation group (group C). The left-sided DLT will be used to intubate in patients of both groups. The position of DLT will be confirmed and adjusted by using the fiberoptic bronchoscopy (FOB). The primary outcome is the incidence of DLT malposition observed via the FOB, and the secondary outcomes include the time of intubation, the frequency and duration of re-adjustments of DLT placement under FOB, whether to re-intubate, intraoperative vital signs, and postoperative recovery. Discussion Accurate DLT positioning is crucially important for thoracic surgery, but the incidence of DLT malposition is still high in the present clinical practice of thoracic anesthesia. This trial aims to investigate whether lateral DLT intubation can reduce the incidence of DLT malposition, with more stable intraoperative vital signs and less postoperative complications. Abstract  Under statistical learning framework, the paper focuses on how to use traditional linguistic findings on anaphora resolution as a guide for mining and organizing contextual features for Chinese co-reference resolution. The main achievements are as follows. (1) In order to simulate “syntactic and semantic parallelism factor”, we extract “bags of word form and POS” feature and “bag of semes” feature from the contexts of the entity mentions and incorporate them into the baseline feature set. (2) Because it is too coarse to use the feature of bags of word form, POS tag and seme to determine the syntactic and semantic parallelism between two entity mentions, we propose a method for contextual feature reconstruction based on semantic similarity computation, in order that the reconstructed contextual features could better approximate the anaphora resolution factor of “Syntactic and Semantic Parallelism Preferences”. (3) We use an entity-mention-based contextual feature representation instead of isolated word-based contextual feature representation, and expand the size of the contextual windows in addition, in order to approximately simulate “the selectional restriction factor” for anaphora resolution. The experiments show that the multi-level contextual features are useful for co-reference resolution, and the statistical system incorporated with these features performs well on the standard ACE datasets. The entropy squeezing for a three-level atom interacting with a single-model field is studied. A general definition of entropy squeezing for three-level atom is given according to entropic uncertainty relation of three-level system, and the calculation formalism of entropy is derived for a cascade three-level atom. By using numerical calculation, the entropy squeezing properties of a cascade three-level atom are examined. Our results show that, three-level atom can generate obvious entropy squeezing effect via choosing appropriate superposition state of three-level atom.
