We report a case of a 58-year-old woman with granular cell tumor (GCT) of the breast. The clinical and instrumental aspects were suggestive for breast cancer. The correct diagnosis was obtained with a paraffin histological examination of the lesion excised by the biopsy. The clinical peculiarities and the correlated therapeutic implications of this rare neoplasm are discussed in this manuscript. Although CGT is a rare condition, it has considerable importance among benign breast lesions that can be erroneously interpreted as carcinoma.

Breast implant-associated anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCLC) is an infrequent T‑cell neoplasm that accounts for approximately 3% of non-Hodgkin lymphomas. After the first case of BIA-ALCL, an increasing number of scientific works concerning BIA-ALCL have been published. We report and discuss the case of BIA-ALCL in a 66-year-old Caucasian woman presented with swelling, pain, redness and a seroma that had developed around the breast implant. After establishing the diagnosis of BIA-ALCL (stage IC, T3N0M0 according to the BIA-ALCL staging system), she underwent several breast implant procedures and capsulectomies. We also provide the results of a literature review on the incidence, clinical management, diagnosis and therapy of this disease. “Level of evidence: level IV case report with literature review”

Aims: The clinical significance of nonvisualized sentinel lymph nodes (non-vSLNs) is unknown. The authors sought to determine the incidence of non-vSLNs on lymphoscintigraphy, the identification rate during surgery, factors associated with non-vSLNs and related axillary management. Patients & methods: A total of 30,508 consecutive SLN procedures performed at a single institution from 2000 to 2017 were retrospectively studied. Associations between clinicopathological factors and the identification of SLNs during surgery were assessed. Results: Non-vSLN occurred in 525 of the procedures (1.7%).
