This research aims to analyze the Behavioral Intention of the Millennial Generation in using FinTech as a payment platform and the factors that influence it by extending the TAM model. The extension variables of the TAM model are Trust, Habit, and Perceived Risk. The population in this study consisted of 521 Millennial generation respondents using purposive sampling. The analytical method used is the Structural Education Model (SEM) using Smart PLS. The research results found that the TAM model is a strong model for behavioral intentions to use FinTech, where Behavioral Intention to use FinTech is influenced by Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived usefulness, and Attitude. The findings for the extension variable are that Habit has a positive effect on behavioral intention to use FinTech, while Perceived Risk and Trust have no effect on behavioral intention or attitude in using FinTech

The production of biodegradable plastic from microorganisms has great potential as a substitute for conventional plastic. This study aims to isolate bacterial strains capable of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) production from the Kampung Jawa landfill land (KJLL) and characterize biopolymers. The bacterial strains were able to produce PHA using a mineral salt medium (MSM) with glucose as a carbon source. The qualitative screening of PHA-producing bacteria was conducted by Sudan Black and Nile Red. Of the 64 bacteria strains, only 41 were able to accumulate PHA in Sudan Black and Nile Red. The results showed that one bacteria the Coccobacillus strain had the highest color intensity for further characterization of PHA. The characterization of PHA by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) showed a melting temperature (Tm) of 101.54°C. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed a crystalline structure with an index crystallinity (ICr) value of 15.82% for PHA. The results of the analysis proved that PHA was produced by bacteria isolate. This study suggests that this is the first report of the bacteria from the Kampung Jawa landfill producing PHA with good characteristics and potential biotechnology applications.

Biochemistry of civet coffee fermentation in the digestive tract of civets until now is not fully known. This study aims to isolation, characterization and identification of bacteria molecularly from the civet's digestive tract. Analysis of bacteria begins with the civet surgery to obtain fluid from three parts of the civet's digestive tract. Isolation of bacteria conducted by pour plate method using nutrient agar media. Single and different colonies (shape, colour, margin, elevation, size) were separated and purified by streaking method. The pure isolate was further characterized biochemically. The biochemical characteristics of the bacteria observed were Gram staining, catalase, protease and pectinase activity. Identification of the bacteria was carried out molecularly by identifying the 16S rRNA gene. The results of molecular identification showed that the bacteria from the civet were identified as Alcaligenes faecalis strain LHW 1749, Ochrobactrum anthropi, Stenotrophomonas sp. 262 and Bacillus sp.

Objectives: This study aimed to measure the production potential of selected Pitalah and Bayang male ducks and their first generation. Materials and Methods: A total of 100 Pitalah and 100 Bayang 1-day-old ducks (40 males, 60 females) were obtained from local farmers and reared for 32–34 weeks. Twenty male ducks were selected as parental ducks based on their body weight (BW) and feed conversion ratio (FCR) at weeks 8 and 12. Forty female layer ducks were selected as parental ducks based on their blood cholesterol levels. Selected parental ducks were allowed to reproduce, and the ducklings were reared for 8 weeks before their BW, BW gain (BWG), feed intake, FCR, carcass weight percentage, abdominal fat percentage, and income over feed and duck cost (IOFC) ratio were measured. The data were subjected to a t-test. Results: Pitalah parental and first-generation ducks had better production performance and blood lipid profiles than Bayang ducks (p < 0.05). Based on the IOFC ratio, rearing Pitalah ducks for 8 weeks for meat production was more profitable and beneficial as a community economic resource. Conclusion: The selection of Pitalah and Bayang ducks was worth pursuing, as the G1 of both Pitalah and Bayang ducks had better production performance in terms of their BW, BWG, and FCR. Based on the IOFC values, raising Pitalah ducks for 8 weeks for meat production would be more economically beneficial.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keefektifan pengendalian intern, ketaatan aturan akuntansi, kesesuaian kompensasi, moralitas manajemen, dan budaya etis organisasi terhadap kecenderungan kecurangan akuntansi. Penelitian dilakukan di Pemerintah Kabupaten Jayapura. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dari hasil kuesioner yang diberikan secara langsung kepada responden. Metode analisis information dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keefektifan pengendalian intern, moralitas manajemen dan budaya etis organisasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kecenderungan kecurangan akuntansi. ketaatan aturan akuntansi dan kesesuaian kompensasi tidak berpengaruh terhadap kecenderungan kecurangan akuntansi.

Penilaian Angka Kredit (PAK) dosen merupakan bentuk evaluasi terhadap kinerja dosen dalam pelaksanakan tridharma perguruan tinggi. Setiap kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh dosen dalam pelaksanaan tridharma perguruan tinggi memiliki nilai angka kredit (kum) bagi dosen sehingga dalam perhitungan keseluruhan nilai yang dikumpulkan oleh dosen dapat diajukan untuk kenaikan pangkat/jabatan akademik dosen yang merupakan jabatan keahlian seorang dosen. Sistem dan mekanisme pengusulan kenaikan pangkat/jabatan dosen dilakukan secara online bagi dosen-dosen Universitas Tamansiswa (Unitas) Padang yang berada dilingkungan LLDIKTI Wilayah X. Untuk memastikan dosen-dosen Unitas dapat mengoperasikan sistem PAK Online dan pegusulan kenaikan pangkat/jabatan dosen terutama bagi dosen-dosen baru yang berasal dari prodi-prodi baru dilingkungan Unitas Padang dapat berjalan dengan baik, maka dilaksanakanlah kegiatan pelatihan Pengusulan jabatan fungsional melalui aplikasi Penilaian Angka Kredit (PAK) Online. Dari hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan pada kegiatan pelatihan dimaksud, teridentifikasi adanya perkembangan yang positif dan signifikan dari peserta terkait dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menggunakan aplikasi PAK online ini sehingga dosen-dosen tersebut rata-rata sudah mengusulkan jabatan fungsional dan saat ini tidak ada lagi dosen Universitas Tamansiswa Padang yang tidak memiliki jabatan fungsional.

This study aimed to determine the feasibility of a guided-inquiry Electronic Student Worksheet based on SSI on the topic of optical instruments. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with 4D steps. At the define stage, it is done by studying literature and conducting short interviews with one physics teacher, design stage contains for lesson plans and electronic student worksheets; the developmentstage contains product validation activities by four experts and preliminary field testing by 23 students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta, dissemination stage contains product distribution. The results of this study are 1) the SSI-based guided-inquiry Electronic Student Worksheet was developed by the objectives, context, and visual aspects, 2) the lesson plan and also the Electronic Student Worksheet are in the very valid category and can be used in the range of 93.75%-100%, and 3) The results of the preliminary field testing are in the valid category, with a range of 77.17%-79-35%. The conclusion is that the Product produced in this study was declared feasible. Hence, the implication of this research is that the resulting product can be used later by the teacher to help the learning process of the optical instrument topic.

The study aims at analyzing the difference of problem solving skills between: (1) the students taught by using problem-based learning model and the ones taught by using guided inquiry learning model, (2) the students taught by using problerm-based learning model and the ones taught by using guided inquiry learning model with male gender, (3) the students taught by using problem-based learning model and the ones taught by using guided inquiry learning model with female gender, and (4) the interaction between problem-based and quided inquiry learning model and gender on problem solving skills of students. The study is quasi-experiment research with treatment by level 2x2 design. The research population was all students of grade X MIA at SMAN 9 Makassar. The technique used in talking the sample was simple random sampling and obtained grade X MIA5 and X MIA7 as the experiment classes and grade X MIA8 and X MIA9 as the control classes. The results of the study reveal that (1) there is a difference of problem solving skills between students taught by using problem-based learning model and the ones taught by using guided inquiry learning model, (2) for male gender students, there is a difference between the ones taught by using problem-based skills and ones taught by using quided inquiry learning model, (3) for female gender students, there is a difference between the ones taught by using problem-based skills and the ones taught by using quided inquiry learning model, and (4) there is no interaction between learning model and gender on problem solving skills of students. This study is expected to be a reference in determining the strategy and innovative learning model to improve learning quality so the students are active in learning process, thus it can improve problem solving skills of students.

The main idea of this study is to calculate 210Po activity in marine biota from Banda Aceh waters and calculate dose estimates for marine biota consumers. Polonium analysis was carried out for Kaka Tua fish, Layur fish, Talang-talang fish, Kawet fish, and sharks using alpha spectrometer. The highest 210Po activity was found in sharks at 16.90 Bq/kg and Kaka tua fish at 16.24 Bq/kg. This activity is slightly above the recommended value for seafood, which is 15 Bq / kg. Based on the calculation, the daily intake for adults is around 0.18-0.41 Bq, for children, it is 0.12-0.27 Bq, and infant are 0.06-0.14 Bq. The daily intake of adults and children exceeds the recommended annual intake limit. However, the annual intake of many countries in the Asian region, including Japan and China, also far exceeds the recommended value. The amount of marine fish consumed significantly influences this annual dose estimate. The estimated dosage of 210Po yearly for adult consumers is 32.3-71.42 µSv/year for children, it ranges from 46.65-103.16 µSv/year, and for infants, it ranges from 78.95-174.58 µSv/year. These values are similar to the UNSCEAR recommended values: around 70, 100, and 180 µSv/year for adults, children, and infants. Ide utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghitung aktivitas 210Po pada biota laut dari perairan Banda Aceh dan menghitung estimasi dosis terhadap konsumen ikan laut. Analisis polonium dilakukan terhadap sampel ikan ikan kaka tua, ikan layur, ikan talang-talang, ikan kawet, dan ikan hiu menggunakan alfa spektrometer. Hasil penelitian menemukan aktivitas 210Po tertinggi pada ikan hiu yaitu 16,90 Bq/kg, dan ikan Kaka tua sebesar 16,24 Bq/kg. Aktivitas ini sedikit diatas nilai yang direkomendasikan untuk makanan laut, yaitu sebesar 15 Bq/kg. Berdasarkan perhitungan, asupan harian terhadap orang dewasa sekitar 0,18–0,41 Bq, untuk anak anak sebesar 0,12–0,27 Bq dan bayi sebesar 0,06-0,14 Bq. Asupan harian dewasa dan anak melebih batas tahunan asupan yang direkomendasikan, namun asupan tahunan dari banyak Negara di kawasan Asia termasuk Jepang dan China juga jauh melebih nilai yang direkomendasikan Jumlah konsumsi ikan laut sangat berpengaruh terhadap estimasi dosis tahunan ini. Penghitungan estimasi dosis 210Po tahunan terhadap konsumen dewasa adalah sebesar 32,3–71,42 µSv/tahun, untuk anak anak berkisar antara 46,65–103,16 µSv/tahun dan untuk bayi berkisar antara 78,95–174,58 µSv/tahun. Nilai ini mirip dengan nilai rekomendasi UNSCEAR, yaitu sekitar 70, 100 dan 180 µSv/tahun untuk dewasa, anak anak dan bayi.

Indonesia is rich in specialty coffee. Some of the specialty coffees from Indonesia are Lintong coffee, Mandailing coffee, Gayo coffee, Toraja coffee and others. Luwak coffee with unique processing is categorized as specialty coffee. Luwak coffee is known as one of the special and most expensive coffees in the world. The Gayo Highlands, as one of the best and largest arabica coffee producing areas in Indonesia, also produces civet coffee. It is suspected that the quality of Gayo arabica civet coffee is also very good. This study aims to analyze the sensory quality of civet coffee from the Gayo Highlands. The results showed that civet coffee from the Gayo Highlands has various sensory. The search for novel DNA Polymerases I, with higher fidelity and better polymerization rate, is essential to improve the Polymerase Chain Reaction method. A thermo-halophilic bacterium has been isolated from an undersea hot spring, dubbed Pria Laot Sabang (PLS) A strain. The 0.9 kb DNA Polymerase I gene fragments from the isolate were amplified, sequenced, and identified. The fragments were part of the polymerization domain of the enzyme. Homological analysis of the gene sequence showed that the PLS A strain was closely related to Bacillus caldolyticusstrain XM. However, Swissprot structural analysis reveals that PLS A strain had high homology to Geobacillus stearathermophilus. Full sequence analysis is still needed to identify the species and evaluate the intact enzyme structure.

Gotong-royong merupakan nilai budaya yang menjadi identitas dan dasar dari bangsa Indonesia. Akan tetapi, saat ini gotong-royong mengalami pergeseran yang berpengaruh terhadap pola hidup masyarakat Indonesia, khususnya dalam hal ini sifat individualis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mempelajari pengaruh nilai gotong-royong terhadap pola hidup masyarakat di Kelurahan Tamanan, Banguntapan, Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) dalam bentuk peta dan pengaruhnya terhadap sifat individualis masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif (metode campuran). Metode campuran dilakukan melalui wawancara dan survei dengan warga desa Tamanan di sembilan padukuhan. Berdasarkan peta gotong-royong diperoleh hasil bahwa padukuhan yang paling kuat nilai gotong-royong adalah Kragilan, Kerobokan, dan Glagah Kidul. Sedangkan padukuhan dengan nilai gotong-royong yang paling lemah ada di Rejokusuman dan Tamanan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kuat-lemahnya nilai gotong-royong tidak bergantung pada jauh-dekatnya letak padukuhan tersebut dari Kota Yogyakarta. Selanjutnya, peta gotong-royong ini berbanding terbalik dengan peta sifat individualis dalam masyarakat, yakni semakin kuat nilai gotong-royong dalam masyarakat semakin lemah sifat individualis dalam masyarakat. -----The Effect of Mutual Cooperation Values Towards People’s Lifestyle in the Form of Maps. Mutual cooperation is a cultural value that becomes the identity and basis of the Indonesian nation. However, currently mutual cooperation underwent a shift that may affect the lifestyle of the Indonesian people, especially in this case individual behavior. The objective of this research is to study the effect of mutual cooperation towards people’s individual behavior in Tamanan village, Banguntapan, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) in the form of maps and its effect towards the individual behavior of the community. The research method used is qualitative and quantitative methods (mixed method). Qualitative and quantitative methods have been carried out through interviews and surveys with villagers in nine hamlets of Tamanan village. Based on the mutual cooperation map the results obtained from this study show that Kragilan, Kerobokan, and Glagah Kidul hamlets have the strongest mutual cooperation values, whereas Rejokusuman and Tamanan hamlets have the weakest mutual cooperation values. This shows that the strength of mutual cooperation does not depend on the proximity of the hamlets from the city of Yogyakarta. Moreover, the mutual cooperation map is reciprocal to the individual behavior of the people in the hamlets, i.e.: the stronger the mutual cooperation values the weaker the individual behavior.

Realizing abundant availability of local bovine bone wastes in Aceh Province, Indonesia, this study is subjected to take competitive advantages from the local bovine bone waste for preparing an inorganic catalyst preparation. In detail, calcined Aceh bovine bones were successfully intercalated lithium through an impregnation method resulting in the inorganic base catalyst, which showed promising activity in the transesterification of castor oil. Prior to the experiment, the Aceh bovine bone waste was calcined at 900 oC in the air atmosphere for 4 hours, led to forming crystalline phases of hydroxyapatite [Ca5(PO4)3(OH)] and calcium oxide [CaO]. Also, the chemical modification of calcined bovine bone with lithium precursor has enhanced the physicochemical properties of the inorganic base catalyst. Finally, the intercalated Aceh bovine bone has shown a feasible activity in transesterification of castor oil into biodiesel, which yielding methyl ricinoleate as the main product.

Polyextremophiles have increasingly been utilised to produce thermostable enzymes with better stability in multiple extreme conditions. This study reports the screening results of four new bacterial isolates (PLS A, PLS 75, PLS 76 and PLS 80), isolated from an under water hot springs, in producing thermo-halostable protease enzyme. Optimum cultivation conditions for the protease production were also studied. Screening of protease-producing isolates was conducted using Thermus solid medium enriched with 3% skim milk and 0.5% casein. The growth of the isolates showing protease activity was monitored by measuring the cell dry weight and protease activity during 24 h cultivation period. The activity was also measured at various cultivation conditions, i.e. temperature, pH and salt concentrations. Amongst the four isolates, only PLS A showed the ability to produce protease. The optimum cultivation conditions for protease production were observed at 65°C, pH 7 for 18 h incubation. The activity increased with the addition of 1% NaCl concentration (0.085 Unit/mL). The ability of PLS A isolate to produce thermo-halostable protease was encouraging as they could potentially be used in industries requiring the enzyme with multiple extremes.

Bio-based industries require stable enzymes in a broad range of environmental conditions. Extremophiles have attracted more interests as the source of such enzymes, one of which is α-amylase. This study aimed to purify and characterize α-amylase produced by a thermo-halophilic bacterium PLS 75 isolated from underwater fumaroles. Ammonium sulfate precipitation results showed that the highest specific α-amylase activity (21.7 U/mg) obtained at 40-60% saturation level, with a purity of 7.7-fold of the crude extract with 16.2% yield. Further purification using DEAE Sepharose column chromatography increased the enzyme purity 11.1-fold of the crude extract with 7.1% yield. Specific activity after column chromatography purification was 31.3 U/mg. The pure enzyme had a low molecular weight of 14 kDa. The enzyme showed the highest activity at 80 °C and pH 5. The activity increased to 126% when in methanol, while decreased when in ethyl acetate and chloroform. The characteristics of α-amylase with low molecular weight, which was active in acidic condition, stable in polar and non-polar solvents, may be used for for specific industrial needs.

Exploitation of extremophiles as novel bioactive compounds sources has been increasing. The aim of this study was to evaluate the activity and the class of antibiotic produced by a thermo-halophilic isolate PLS 76, as well as to identify the genotype of the isolate. The activity was determined by a disc diffusion method, while the antibiotic class was determined qualitatively by chemical reactions using ninhydrin, iodine vapour and potassium iodine. The genotype was determined by sequencing the 16S rRNA gene fragment and the phylogenetic tree from the sequence data. The results showed that PLS 76 was a Gram-negative bacterium and able to produce polypeptide antibiotic, which showed a slight activity on E. coli and S. aureus. Sequence alignment of the 16S rRNA gene fragment showed that PLS 76 was most related to Geobacillus kaustophilus. These results may be used to utilise the isolated for further antibiotic study.

AbstractSchizophrenia is a mental disorder that is quite widespread in nature in Indonesia, which is about 99% of patients, the mental hospital in Indonesia are people with schizophrenia. The highest prevalence of psychosis is in DIY is 2.7 per 1000 population. Based on the data reports the top 10 disease hospitalization from January to June 2015 at the Mental Hospital Grhasia DIY disease schizophrenia is a disease with a high of 371 while other mental disorders as many as 54 people. This study aimed to determine risk factors of schizophrenia in patients hospitalized in the Psychiatric Hospital Grhasia DIY. This research was an analytic observational with cross sectional design. The sample was 79 people schizophrenia and non-schizophrenia. Data analysis was using Fisher’s Exact Test. There were relationships between heredity RP = 1.195 (95% CI 1.004 to 1.423), psychosocial stressors of interpersonal relationship problems RP = 1.257 (CI95% from 1.056 to 1.497), psychosocial stressors of family factors RP = 1.366 (CI95% from 1.063 to 1.756) to the incidence of schizophrenia in-patients at the Mental Hospital Grhasia DIY. This research concluded that heredity, psychosocial stressors of interpersonal relationship problems and family factors are risk factors of the incidence of schizophrenia in the Mental Hospital DIY.Keywords: heredity, interpersonal relationship problems, psychosocial stressors, schizophreniaAbstrakSkizofrenia adalah gangguan mental yang cukup luas dialami di Indonesia, yaitu sekitar 99% pasien RS Jiwa di Indonesia adalah penderita skizofrenia. Berdasarkan laporan data 10 besar penyakit rawat inap bulan Januari-Juni 2015 di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Grhasia DIY penyakit skizofrenia merupakan penyakit tertinggi yaitu dengan 371 orang sedangkan gangguan mental lainnya sebanyak 54 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor risiko kejadian skizofrenia pada pasien rawat inap di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Grhasia DIY. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 79 pasien skizofrenia dan tidak skizofrenia. Analisis data dengan menggunakan uji Fisher’s Exact Test. Ada hubungan faktor keturunan RP= 1,195 (CI 95% 1,004-1,423), stresor psikososial dari masalah hubungan interpersonal RP= 1,257 (CI95% 1,056-1,497), stresor psikososial dari faktor keluarga RP= 1,366 (CI95% 1,063-1,756) dengan kejadian skizofrenia pada pasien rawat inap di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Grhasia DIY. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa faktor keturunan, stresor psikososial dari masalah hubungan interpersonal dan faktor keluarga merupakan factor risiko kejadian skizofrenia di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Grhasia DIY.Kata kunci: faktor keturunan, masalah hubungan interpersonal, stresor psikososial, skizofrenia

Perusahaan selalu mengaharapkan kinerja yang baik bagi karyawan, karena karyawan merupakan kunci keberhasilan bagi perusahaan. Untuk mendapatkan karyawan yang berkualitas perlu memperhatikan tatacara rekuitmen dan seleksi yang dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar dampak rekrutmen dan seleksi terhadap peningkatan produktivitas kerja pegawai Satuan Kerja Pengembangan Kawasan Pemukiman Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai Satuan Kerja Pengembangan Kawasan Pemukiman Provinsi Sumatera Barat berjumlah 48 orang pegawai. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah metode total sampling yaitu menggunakan seluruh populasi sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menjelaskan bahwa rekrutmen dan seleksi memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap produktivitas pegawai Satuan Kerja Pengembangan Kawasan Pemukiman Provinsi Sumatera Barat.

This research is a descriptive study with the aim to produce a model of planning for the recruitment and training of the institution in creating a professional labor export. The methodology used by the technique of collecting data through surveys, koesioner, and interviews, the sample is prospective migrants who apply through the recruitment agency in West Sumatra. The results were obtained that the model include the need to pay attention to the existence of recruitment, the characteristics of the workers, paperwork / documents TKI, giving skills / expertise of workers and the provision of debriefing Final Departure (PAP) before workers dispatched. From the analysis conducted that models used give a significant effect of more than fifty percent. This means that this model should be applied against those involved in sending workers abroad, namely recruitment and skills training institutes place. As for the government of this model can be used as a reference in making a policy in sending workers abroad in order to minimize problems abroad.

This study examines the influence of the quality of education and skills of prospective Indonesia Labor from West Sumatra on income. Wage income is expected equivalent to the level of wage labor which comes from other countries. Therefore, in order to obtain equal wage, prospective Indonesian labors sent abroad should be a good level of education, skill trained so that labor productivity increased. The method used in this study is Test Crosstab, and, Chi Square test to see the effect between the two variables used. It is shown that Indonesian labors do not able to compete in terms of quality of education and skills, compared to foreign labors, so that the income received by the Indonesian labor is lower. In addition, professional job that has been chosen by the Indonesian labor is the operator, profession which does not necessarily require a high level of educational and skills qualifications.
