The study aims to systematically review the relationship between religiosity and posttraumatic growth among the survivors of sexual assaults. A search of the published literature identified 05 empirical studies that reported links between religiosity and posttraumatic growth among sexual assault survivors. This review identified three main findings: an association between religiosity and PTG among sexual assault survivors. Second, religious and spiritual coping was found to be associated with the development of posttraumatic growth. Third, the traumatic experiences from sexual assault can lead to the deepening of religiosity/spirituality. Despite limited evidence, individual's beliefs can impact posttrauma thriving. This review explores the existing literature on posttraumatic growth in women survivors of sexual assaults. A systematic review of research literature following PRISMA guidelines between 1980 and 2023 was conducted using databases like PsychINFO, PubMed, ProQuest, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Approximately 78 articles were initially identified and evaluated in the preliminary search using the identified keywords. Of those retrieved, 22 met the criteria and were included integrating the findings from 18 quantitative and 04 qualitative studies. The review findings suggest that the mean prevalence of growth in sexual assault survivors ranges from 4.59 to 64.04 in the PTGI total scores, ranging from 0 to 105. Overall, small to moderate PTG was found to be a recurring phenomenon among survivors of sexual assault. The highest level of growth was consistently experienced in relating to other domain. Posttraumatic stress, social support, religiosity/spirituality, and control over recovery were suggested to be associated with posttraumatic growth. The present research explores the experience of positive psychological change i.e., posttraumatic growth (PTG) among the suicide survivors. Semi structured interview method was used to understand the process of PTG. Twelve young adults were recruited with the help of snowball sampling. Five themes emerged after data analysis i.e., social support, coping strategies, spiritual/religious change, changed priorities, and changed interpersonal relationships. Sexual violence has been defined as any sexual act perpetrated against someone's will. Sexual violence has many negative consequences for the victims. The most prevalent mental health issue in victims is posttraumatic stress disorder. However, a new trend in positive psychology suggests that many survivors of traumatic events, in addition to negative repercussions, adapt and develop positive personal changes, i.e., Posttraumatic growth (PTG), to mitigate their impact. This review explores the literature on posttraumatic growth among survivors of sexual violence. The review follows 5 stages of Arksey and O'Malley's framework of scoping review. 6 databases were searched using indexed terms. Approximately 65 articles were initially identified and evaluated in the preliminary search using the specified keywords. Of those retrieved, 16 met the criteria and were included in this study. Posttraumatic stress, Control over Recovery, Social Support, and Spirituality/Religiosity were the significant factors for PTG. The results suggest that fostering social support, spirituality, and a sense of control over recovery can facilitate PTG, highlighting the importance of holistic approaches in promoting resilience after trauma. Although children and adolescents often experience negative sequelae in the face of even a single adverse childhood event, they may also perceive several positive changes, which reveal posttraumatic growth (PTG). This literature review aims to clarify the definition of posttraumatic growth, associated factors, and application contexts based on the analysis of empirical data. A systematic review of the literature was conducted using different search engines like PsychINFO, PubMed, etc. Articles were screened and assessed for inclusion criteria and methodological quality. Initially, 42 articles were identified and evaluated in the preliminary search using the identified keywords. Of those retrieved, 21 met the criteria and were included in this study. This review identified several risk factors for developing PTG in children and adolescents. This review makes a valuable contribution to mental health care services in developing strategies for children and adolescents to manage traumatic stress from natural disasters. Child sexual abuse (CSA) remains one of the most pressing and far-reaching issues in India today. The trauma resulted from the sexual abuse can contribute to numerous adverse effects on children throughout their whole lifespan. In most cases, the child sexual abuse is not reported and the child is not provided with adequate therapeutic and protective assistance. And as a result, the child has to suffer alone in silence. The main aim of this paper is to discuss and evaluate the nature and all the significant aspects of child sexual abuse in the perspective of Rational Choice Theory. It aims to explore how familial and socio-cultural risk factors are associated with child sexual abuse. The paper will also discuss the ascending growth in the number of child sexual abuse in India during the Covid-19 and provide an overview of the studies done on child sexual abuse during the pandemic. Data for this paper were collected from the incidents of child sexual abuse reported in the newspapers, therefore all the data are secondary. The approach of the research is pragmatic and descriptive method to evaluate the information is chosen. The findings or the results display that there has been a huge spike in the number of child sexual abuse during Covid-19 in India; unemployment remains one of the main reasons for the abuse; in most cases, the offender is well-known to the victim, and there is a huge lack of information about the laws of the country regarding child sexual abuse. The present research tries to investigate the effect of intervention on aggression and self-harmthrough general meditation for peace, forgiveness, and gratitude. The present study tries to examine the effects of meditation on aggression and self-harm among adolescent girls of Kashmir. Pre and post interventional method was designed for (50) fifty adolescents girls, among them (n = 36) were subjected to experimental group and 14 were subjected to control group. Using convenient sampling method, one private school of Kashmir valley from Srinagar was selected for the research purpose. Two measures including Self Harm Inventory by Sansone, McLean, and Wiederman (1998) and Aggression questionnaire by Buss and Perry, was administered for pre and post assessment purpose. In experimental group three dimensions of aggression showed statistically significant difference on pre and post assessment scores i.e. physical aggression (t = 3.1, p<0.01), anger (t = 2.3, p<0.05) and hostility (2.8, p<0.01), no difference was seen on pre and post intervention scores of verbal aggression. Self harm was found to have statistically significant difference on pre and post assessment scores, i.e., (t = 3.177, p<0.01). on the other hand no difference was found on any dimension of aggression and self harm in control group. The study showed that by practicing meditation adolescents can manage aggressive and self-harm behaviours. Meditation decreased aggression and increased their quality of life by reducing their self-harm.It also helped them to reduce their aggressive behaviours through forgiveness and gratitude. The present paper examines the correlation between the aggression, suicidal ideation and positive life orientation among adolescent boys of Kashmir. The sample consists of 100 adolescent boys (n= 100) from two different schools of Kashmir. Aggression questionnaire by Buss and Perry, Multi attitude Suicidal Scale (MAST) by Isreal Orbach and Positive life orientation scale by Agarwal and Dalal was used for data collection. The results revealed significant correlations among the dimensions of aggression with all the dimensions of suicidal ideation. The results also showed that hostility is negatively correlated with positive life orientation. The results showed significant correlation between positive life orientation and two dimension of suicidal ideation: attraction to life while repulsion by life. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
