Stunting is a condition in which children experience impaired growth as a result of chronic nutritional problems, namely lack of nutritional intake for a long time. This study aims to determine the comparison of intake of animal protein and vegetable protein in stunted toddlers. Literature review is conducted by searching, summarizing, and combining the core of several scientific sources that are accurate and valid from search databases such as Google Scholar and Garuda Portal. The literature searched for is limited from 2015 to 2022 with the keywords "Stunting". "Toddlers", "Animal Protein", "Vegetable Protein" both in Indonesian and English. Literature was analyzed using a matrix table. Stunted toddlers tend to consume vegetable protein compared to animal protein. Stunted toddlers consume vegetable protein because it is cheap, easy to get, area of residence, and parents income. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan asupan protein hewani dan protein nabati pada balita stunting. Tinjauan Literatur dilakukan dengan cara mencari, meringkas, serta menggabungkan inti dari beberapa sumber ilmiah yang akurat dan valid dari database pencarian seperti Google Scholar dan Portal Garuda. Literatur yang dicari dibatasi dari tahun 2015 sampai tahun 2022 dengan kata kunci "Stunting”. “Balita”, “Protein Hewani”, “Protein Nabati” baik dalam Bahasa Indonesia maupun Bahasa inggris. Literatur dianalisis dengan menggunakan tabel matriks. Balita stunting cenderung mengkonsumsi protein nabati dibandingkan dengan protein hewani. Balita stunting mengkonsumsi protein nabati diakarenakan harga yang murah, mudah didapatkan, wilayah tempat tinggal, dan pendapatan orang tua. Tumbuh kembang bayi merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan karena masih dalam periode 1000 hari pertama kehidupan. Tumbuh kembang bayi yang optimal dapat mencegah terjadinya stunting. Namun, terdapat fase kritis bayi beresiko terjadi kekurangan gizi, yaitu pada usia 6-12 bulan. Pada fase ini bayi mulai diajarkan untuk mengkonsumsi makanan secara bertahap. Oleh karena itu pengetahuan tentang bahan pangan dan cara pengolahan Makanan Pendamping ASI (MP-ASI) sangatlah penting untuk diketahui. Pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilakukan mengusung tema MP-ASI dengan memperlihatkan secara langsung bagaimana pengolahan MP-ASI yang bergizi melalui demo masak. Demo dan lomba masak MP-ASI merupakan metode yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan antusias para ibu dalam belajar menghidangkan MP-ASI yang bergizi. Selain itu, buku resep MP-ASI juga disusun dan dibagikan sebagai panduan sehari-hari bagi para ibu atau pengasuh. Buku resep MP-ASI ini menjadi pengingat sekaligus motivasi bagi para Ibu agar selalu memasak MP-ASI yang bergizi untuk bayinya. Dengan demikian, pengabdian masyarakat ini telah berpartisipasi dalam pencegahan stunting di Indonesia.

BACKGROUND: Stunting is an adverse result condition of unfulfilled nutritional intake during pregnancy and early childhood, which affects the children’s maximum height and optimal cognitive potential. Stunting is influenced by numerous factors, both from the mother and children. Research has proven that factors related to mothers of children under 5 have essential roles in the incidence of stunting. AIM: This study intends to analyze the influence of maternal risk factors on the incidence of stunting in children under 5 in districts/cities in South Sumatra. METHODS: This study is quantitative research with a cross-sectional design, with secondary data sources from Basic Health Research 2018, carried out in 17 districts/cities in South Sumatra. The purpose of this study creates a Sentiment Analysis model of COVID-19 using Multimodal Fusion Neural Networks in real time to model and visualize COVID-19 in Indonesia. This study obtained 87 percent accuracy using the Multimodal Fusion Neural Networks model, a higher 5 percent than the benchmarking model Convolutional Neural Networks. This study proves that the sentiment model built is quite promising and relevant to be implemented.

Latar belakang. Sumber kalsium dapat diperoleh dari ikan, terutama tulangnya. Pemanfaatan tepung tulang ikan gabus dalam pembuatan sempol merupakan salah satu alternatif pangan sumber kalsium. Tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis parameter sensorik dari formulasi sempol dan menganalisis kandungan kalsium pada formulasi sempol daging ikan gabus dengan substitusi tepung tulang ikan gabus yang terpilih dan sempol kontrol. Metode. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen dengan menggunakan metode rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Terdapat 4 perlakuan penambahan tepung tulang ikan gabus pada bahan pembuatan sempol, yaitu 0%, 25%, 37,5% dan 50%. Hasil. Hasil uji organoleptik oleh panelis semi terlatih sebanyak 30 orang menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan F1, yaitu sempol dengan penambahan tepung tulang ikan gabus sebanyak 25 persen merupakan perlakuan sempol terbaik. Analisis data organoleptik menggunakan uji Kruskall Wallis dan uji lanjut Mann Whitney sedangkan untuk uji data laboratorium menggunakan uji one way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung tulang ikan gabus pada pembuatan sempol dapat memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter organoleptik, yaitu tekstur, tetapi warna, rasa, dan aroma tidak berpengaruh nyata. Sempol kontrol (F0) memiliki kandungan kadar air 55,08 persen, kadar abu 1,78 persen, protein 13,11 persen, lemak 1,82 persen, karbohidrat 28,2 persen, energi 181,64 kkal, dan kalsium 149,03 mg/g. Sedangkan, sempol terpilih (F1) memiliki kandungan kadar air 50,73 persen, kadar abu 5,17 persen, protein 13,89 persen, lemak 2,78 persen, karbohidrat 27,43 persen, energi 190,3 kkal, dan kalsium 1207,21 mg/g. Kesimpulan. Kandungan gizi sempol terpilih (F1) mengalami peningkatan terutama pada kalsium dan apabila anak-anak mengonsumsi 3 sempol F1 untuk cemilan makan, akan mencukupi 5 persen dari AKG anak-anak.

Background: Physical and psychological alteration during adolescence could determine adolescents’ nutritional status, especially for female adolescents. The Indonesian Ministry of Health estimated about 26.5% of female adolescents aged 12 – 18 years in South Sumatera Province were at risk of chronic energy deficiency in 2017. One of the direct predictors which affect nutritional status is eating behavior. The research aims to describe perceived body image and eating behavior of high school female adolescents and find the correlation between these variables.Method: The research applied a cross-sectional design and chose respondents purposively with inclusion criteria i.e., female adolescents at 1st and 2nd grade from four different high schools in Palembang. About 138 respondents completed the questionnaires of body image and eating behavior. The data were analyzed using a chi-square test on SPSS Application.Results: The majority of respondents (55.80%) were not satisfied with their own body shape. Above 15% were on a diet. However, the respondents’ perception of body image was mostly classified as positive (54.35%), and they also had good eating behavior (56.52%). Body image significantly impacted eating behavior (p = 0.035). Those with positive body image are possibly at 2.210 times chances of having good eating behavior (95%CI: 1.112 – 4.391). Female adolescents have to build self-appreciation, not only based on their physical appearance. The health nutritionists should work together with the government to facilitate them to practice healthy eating behavior which may improve their nutrition status.

Stunting merupakan masalah gizi kronis yang disebabkan oleh multi faktor dan bersifat antar generasi. Kejadian stunting menunjukan permasalahan gizi buruk yang kronis dan terjadi di usia balita. Pemantauan pertumbuhan balita sangat penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui adanya gangguan pertumbuhan (growth faltering) secara dini. Untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan tersebut, penimbangan balita setiap bulan sangat diperlukan. Pengukuran antropometri biasanya dilakukan oleh kader di Posyandu. Namun, kader tidak mempunyai kemampuan dalam pemantauan pertumbuhan balita baik melalui pengukuran antropometri (berat badan dan tinggi badan) serta pengisian KMS. Hal ini dikarenakan hampir sebagian besar kader belum pernah mendapatkan pelatihan mengenai pengukuran antropometri dan pengisian KMS. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Indralaya dengan sasaran adalah kader Posyandu yang mewakili setiap desa yang berjumlah 46 orang. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan, yaitu melalui pemberian materi menggunakan ceramah dan pelatihan memantau pertumbuhan balita dengan cara mengukur berat badan dan panjang badan/tinggi badan balita serta cara mengisi KMS. Alat yang digunakan adalah timbangan, dacin, infantometer serta kartu KMS. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar kader mengalami peningkatan nilai sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan yaitu peningkatan pengetahuan gizi (54,3%), pengukuran antropometri (78,2%) dan Pengisian KMS (58,7%). Berdasarkan hasil Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai p 0,000 < 0,005 maka ada perbedaan skor pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi, baik itu pengetahuan gizi, pengukuran antropometri balita dan pengisian KMS bertambah. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan kader ini cukup berhasil dilihat dari hasil distribusi frekuensi yang didapat dan hasil uji statistik. Perlu dilakukan pelatihan rutin terkait pemantauan pertumbuhan dan pembacaan KMS, terutama jika terjadi pergantian kader.

Food preferences are the level of the likes and dislikes of food, and these preferences will affect food consumption that represents the selection of a person’s diet frequency, nutrient intake and dietary adequacy. Based on previous research, food preferences in adolescents as a whole are not in line with a healthy diet, and food preferences of adolescents are a critical point that determines food preferences of adults. The purpose of this study is to analyze food preferences of adolescence and the various factors which influence it. This research was an analytical study with cross-sectional design. The samples were High School students at Senior High School 1 Inderalaya and Senior High School 1 South Inderalaya with the total number 167 ,and people. Samples were taken by simple random sampling. The food preferences data were obtained by using food checklist and hedonic scale of 1-5. Procedure of data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square. Bivariate analysis showed that 61.1% of the respondent have good food preferences. Analysis of the relationship between variables showed a significant relationship between food familiarity with food preferences (p-value = 0.000) with PR= 3.459 (95% CI: 2.284-5.239) while other variables Such as the influence of peers, food neophobia, body image perception, gender, allowance, nutritional knowledge, and food taboo did not have any relationship with food preferences. The higher someone’s food familiarity level is, the higher the preference is. We suggest the school to increase food preferences for students to learn about a variety of nutritious foods balanced through a variety of activities, such as scientific discussions, a competition to create a menu of balanced nutrition, healthy food promotion

Obesity has become a global health problem in the world. The impact of obesity is degenerative disease. The style of family care is one of the factors that influence the occurrence of obesity in children. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family care style with obesity in preschool children aged 3-5 years. This study uses a cross sectional design with a total of 143 preschool children aged 3-5 years using Cluster Sampling sampling techniques. research shows that there is a relationship between parental supervision when watching television (pvalue = 0.043) and parental physical activity patterns (pvalue = 0,000), while the most dominant variable is the parental physical activity pattern with a PR value of 15,896. school is influenced by parental supervision when watching television and parental physical activity patterns. It is hoped that all parties can make efforts to prevent obesity in children by increasing physical activity of children such as buying sports equipment and inviting children to exercise and conduct more stringent supervision when children watch television, play games or gadgets. Exclusive breastfeeding is one of the successful indicators in improving the health of babies. From 2013 until 2014, the practice of exclusive breastfeeding has decreased in Indonesia and has not reached the national targets of around 80% of babies being exclusively breastfed. This study aimed to identify the prevalence and determinants of exclusive breastfeeding in Seberang Ulu I, Palembang. A community-based cross sectional study was executed from July 5, 2016 to August 5, 2016 among mothers who had infants aged less than six months. A purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample of 125 participants. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire by the face-to-face interview technique. Bivariate and multiple logistic regression analysis were used to determine factors associated with the practice of breastfeeding exclusively and to control confounding effects. The prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding was 26.4% (95% CI: 20.0%-35.1%). After adjusting for confounders (mothers’ attitudes and health workers’ support), mothers who had good knowledge were 11.66 times more likely to breastfeed exclusively than those who had poor knowledge (AOR: 11.66, 95% CI: 3.07-44.31). The prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding in Seberang Ulu I, Palembang, was still very low and has not reached the national target. The recommendation is to maximize the role of health workers in providing information about exclusive breastfeeding, so that they can continue providing motivation for mothers, husbands and families, so that the success and sustainability of exclusive breastfeeding practices could be achieved. To support the growth and development of children and adolescents, a balanced nutritious diet is required. Indonesia issues a balanced nutrition guideline as the government's effort to overcome various nutritional problems in Indonesia. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship among four pillars of balanced nutrition, namely eating a variety of foods, monitoring body weight, hygiene and healthy living habits and physical activity with nutritional status in school children. This study used a cross-sectional method which was conducted in elementary schools in rural areas with a number of sample of 80 schoolchildren with purposive sampling technique. The data were taken directly by means of interviews and anthropometric measurements. Based on the results of the study, there was a relationship between various foods and physical activity with nutritional status, while for the clean and healthy living habits and monitoring of body weight there was no relationship to the nutritional status of school children. There was a relationship between diverse foods and physical activity and nutritional status of schoolchildren in rural areas of Ogan Komering Ilir District.
