Today's world is the era of technology and it is playing a dominant role in the field of education. The current research work is quantitative in nature. It aims to investigate students' attitudes, their interests and difficulties regarding the concept of computer assisted language learning at intermediate level. A self reported questionnaire (SRQ) was designed and administered to obtain the objectives of the current study. The sampling statistic comprised of 300 students with equal gender from public and private colleges. The collected data was statistically analyzed by running descriptive statistic technique. The findings revealed that male students had more positive attitude towards CALL as compared to their female counterparts. However, it was also revealed that male students found CALL interesting for the development of language proficiency while female students faced more difficulties in using computer technology for English Language learning. The results provide ideas, paths and suggestions to the future researchers to undergo further investigations in developing computer mediating language learning programs for the benefits of learners and learning.

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women worldwide. The Wnt–β-catenin pathway appears to be deregulated in most cancer cells including breast cancer. The role of zerumbone, the active sesquiterpene from Zingiber zerumbet Roscoe, on the Wnt–β-catenin pathway is relatively unknown, especially detailed molecular studies have yet to be published. Using the Chemistry at HARvard Macromolecular Mechanics (CHARMm) force field-based docking protocol, CDOCKER, the molecular interactions between zerumbone and key proteins of the Wnt–β-catenin pathway were evaluated in this study. The results suggest that zerumbone has a strong affinity for free β-catenin in the cytoplasm, as well as the β-catenin–transcription factor 4 complex in the nucleus. The overall hydrophobic nature of zerumbone allowed its interaction with other hydrophobic residues, such as Trp383, while its active α,β-unsaturated carbonyl facilitated its interaction with positively charged residues, such as Lys345, Arg386 and Asn415 in the β-catenin binding pocket. However, the Wnt protein and its frizzled receptor showed no attraction to zerumbone.

Brinjal is a widely grown vegetables. A pot experiment was conducted to study the effect of farmyard manure (FYM), Zn and B application on fruit yield, their uptake and ascorbic acid contents of brinjal where two levels of FYM (no FYM and 5 Mg ha−1), four levels of Zn (no Zn, 5 kg Zn ha−1 as basal, 10 kg Zn ha−1 as basal and 5 kg Zn ha−1 as basal + foliar spray of Zn twice @ 0.5% ZnSO4.7 H2O) and three levels of B (no B, 1 and 2 kg B ha−1) were applied in a factorial controlled randomized design. Zn @ 10 kg ha−1 through basal and soil + foliar application enhanced the fruit yield over Zn @ 5 kg ha−1 and control. Foliar spraying of Zn and basal applied Zn enhanced the Zn uptake in fruits to 2.0–2.25 fold, while 2 kg B ha−1 application enhanced the uptake by B of two-fold irrespective of FYM application. A higher B use efficiency was recorded with 1 kg B ha−1 application than 2 kg B ha−1. Basal application of Zn and B, in addition to the foliar spray of Zn, is recommended to correct Zn and B deficiency in brinjal. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Adrenal myelolipoma is an infrequent benign lesion characterized by the presence of mature adipose tissue and hematopoietic precursor cells. Typically, it is discovered incidentally on CT/MRI scans or during autopsies, occurring in only 0.08 to 0.4% of cases. Adrenal myelolipomas are mostly asymptomatic, non-functioning, small, unilateral adrenal tumors commonly detected as incidental findings in imaging studies. This study presents the clinicopathological characteristics of six cases of adrenal myelolipomas treated at HCG Cancer hospital and ESIC Medical College and Hospital. These cases are noteworthy due to their rarity and considerable size. Of particular concern is the increasing incidence of large adrenal myelolipomas (>10 cm) leading to life-threatening retroperitoneal hemorrhage and other complications, including abscess formation. Materials and Methods: Over a span of five years, we examined six cases of adrenal myelolipoma received at the Department of Pathology in HCG Cancer hospital and ESIC Medical College and Hospital. Following thorough gross examination, representative tissue samples were subjected to histopathological analysis. We evaluated the clinicomorphological features of these cases and compared them with findings from related studies. Results: All six cases were associated with known diabetes and hypertension. The age of the patients ranged from 55 to 70 years, and the tumors exhibited sizes ranging from 5 cm to 10.5 cm. On external examination, the tumors displayed a globular appearance with gray-brown areas, while the cut surfaces revealed gray-brown to gray-yellow areas. One of the tumors exhibited evidence of hemorrhage, and one case was concomitant with adrenal cortical hyperplasia. Conclusion: Adrenal myelolipoma is a rare, benign tumor, and histopathological examination is essential for confirming its diagnosis and distinguishing it from other adrenal and renal lesions. GLP-1 receptor agonists are a new approach to treating metabolic liver disease complications. GLP-1 is a hormone that helps regulate glucose levels in the body. GLP-1 receptor agonists mimic the actions of GLP-1 and have been successful in managing type 2 diabetes. Recent studies have shown that GLP-1 receptor agonists may also be effective in reducing the risk of severe liver outcomes in patients with metabolic liver disease. The agrarian communities of South Asia are dominated by small and marginal farmers (<2.0 ha operational holdings) and are confronted with manifold challenges of lower productivity, income, and resource degradation. For optimized and efficient resource use, a shift from business as usual towards green economy is imperative. Therefore, a study to address these challenges, through integrating diverse crops and allied enterprises under an integrated farming system (IFS) model was carried out. We hypothesized that a standardized IFS model with appropriate location-specific modules will have higher system output, income, and lesser environmental footprints. Vegetable cultivation (VC), protected vegetable cultivation (PVC), field crops (FC), mushroom production (MP), and beekeeping (BK) were evaluated under the IFS model, with objectives to optimize the coherent use of available farm resources with enhancing system productivity and profitability. Among the FC module, the system productivity increased from 21–247% of different cropping systems, over the predominant rice–wheat system (RWS). The integration of different components, viz., VP + PVC + FC + AHS + MP + BK + VC in M10 resulted in achieving the maximum water productivity (6.72 kg/m3), energy productivity (1.50 kg/MJ), net return (9446 USD/ha), employment opportunities (792 man-days), sustainable livelihood index (70.2%), and nutrient cycling (138.12, 67.9, and 381.6 kg/ha of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, respectively). These findings can be a scientific basis for the optimization and sustainable management of natural resources under different modules of IFS for the less-endowed small and marginal farmers. Introduction: To analyze and contrast the rates of root resorption and intrusion of maxillary incisors produced by Rickett's utility arch, Kalra's Simultaneous Intrusion & Retraction arch, and arch with Reverse Curve of Spee, respectively. Methods: The research was carried out on a total of 30 patients who ranged in age from 14 to 25 years old and had a deep bite that required at least a 2-4 mm intrusion of their maxillary incisors. On the basis of the intrusion method that was employed, these patients were randomly assigned to one of three groups: Rickets utility arch (Group I), K-SIR arch (Group II), or RCS arch (Group III) (Group III). The quantity of root resorption and the amount of incursion that took place throughout the process were both measured for each subject. In order to analyze the skeletal and dental alterations that occurred both before to and after incisor intrusion, seven angular and six linear cephalometric measurements were taken. Results: The real incisor intrusion that could be obtained with a utility arch was 1.6 millimeters on average, whereas with K-SIR it was 1.25 millimeters, and with RCS it was 0.70 millimeters. The difference between the three rates was not statistically significant (p = 0.451); the rate of intrusion of the utility arch was 0.44 mm/month, the K-SIR was 0.33 mm/month, and the RCS was 0.35 mm/month. When compared to the K-SIR value of 1.08 mm and the RCS value of 0.96 mm, the mean root resorption of the utility arch was much greater at 1.56 mm. Conclusion: When compared to the K-SIR arch, the intrusion rate and root resorption are much higher for the utility arch. On the other hand, the root resorption is significantly lower for the K-SIR arch, despite the fact that the rate of intrusion is practically same. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
