We investigate the conformal algebra on the fuzzy sphere, and in particular the generators of translations and special conformal transformations which are emergent symmetries in the infinite IR but are broken along the RG flow. We show how to extract these generators using the energy momentum tensor, which is complicated by the fact that one does not have a priori access to the energy momentum tensor of the CFT limit but rather must construct it numerically. We discuss and quantitatively analyze the main sources of corrections to the conformal generators due to the breaking of scale-invariance at finite energy, and develop efficient methods for removing these corrections. The resulting generators have matrix elements that match CFT predictions with accuracy varying from sub-percent level for the lowest-lying states up to several percent accuracy for states with dimension $\sim 5$ with $N=16$ fermions. We show that the generators can be used to accurately identify primary operators vs descendant operators in energy ranges where the spectrum is too dense to do the identification solely based on the approximate integer spacing within conformal multiplets., Comment: 31 pages, 13 figures

We use holography to study the large spin $J$ limit of the spectrum of low energy states with charge $Q$ under a $U(1)$ conserved current in CFTs in $d>2$ dimensions, with a focus on $d=3$ and $d=4$. For $Q=2$, the spectrum of such states is known to be universal and properly captured by the long-distance limit of holographic theories, regardless of whether the CFT itself is holographic. We study in detail the holographic description of such states at $Q>2$, by considering the contribution to the energies of $Q$ scalar particles coming from single photon and graviton exchange in the bulk of AdS; in some cases, scalar exchange and bulk contact terms are also included. For a range of finite values of $Q$ and $J$, we numerically diagonalize the Hamiltonian for such states and examine the resulting spectrum and wavefunctions as a function of the dimension $\Delta$ of the charge-one operator and the central charges $c_{\mathcal{T}}, c_{\mathcal{J}}$ of the stress tensor and U(1) current, finding multiple regions in parameter space with qualitatively different behavior. We discuss the extension of these results to the regime of parametrically large charge $Q$, as well as to what extent such results are expected to hold universally, beyond the limit of holographic CFTs. We compare our holographic computations to results from the conformal bootstrap for the $3d$ O(2) model at $Q=3$ and $Q=4$ and find excellent agreement., Comment: 88 pages, many nice figures

We determine the first curvature correction for the string amplitude of two supergravity states and two Kaluza-Klein modes on $\text{AdS}_5 \times \text{S}^5$, which is dual to the correlator $\langle \mathcal{O}_2 \mathcal{O}_2 \mathcal{O}_p \mathcal{O}_p \rangle$ of half-BPS operators in $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM theory. The result has the form of an integral over the Riemann sphere as for the usual Virasoro-Shapiro amplitude, with the insertion of single-valued multiple polylogarithms of weight three. The result fixes OPE data of single-trace operators in $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM theory at strong coupling, including operators with non-zero $R$-charge and odd spin. We successfully check our results by comparing to data available from integrability, localisation and consistency with a $10d$ effective action., Comment: 28 pages, 1 figure

We study four-point functions of spinning operators in the flavor current multiplet in four dimensional $\mathcal{N}=2$ SCFTs, using superspace techniques. In particular we explicitly construct the differential operators relating the different components of the super-correlator. As a byproduct of our analysis, we report the computation of the four-point amplitudes of gluons in bosonic Yang-Mills theories on $\mathrm{AdS}_5$ and we give evidence of an AdS double copy relation between the gluon amplitude and its gravitational counterpart., Comment: 53 pages

We start a systematic study of quarter-BPS operators in four-dimensional $\mathcal{N}=4$ Super Yang-Mills with gauge group $\mathrm{SU}(N)$ making use of recently developed tools in conformal field theory. We adapt the technology of embedding space tensor structures in four dimensions to the problem of computing R-symmetry tensor structures and we use the underlying chiral algebra to obtain the superconformal Ward identities. This allows us to fix the protected part of the four-point correlators, up to few ambiguities. As applications, we use the Lorentzian inversion formula to study the leading order OPE data in the large~$N$ supergravity limit and we make contact with the OPE limit of the five-point function of half-BPS operators., Comment: 65 pages

The recent close approach of comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) allowed us to study the morphology of its inner coma. From the measurement of the dust ejection velocityon spiral structures expanding around the nucleus, we estimated a mean deprojectedexpansion velocity Vd= 1.11+/-0.08 km s^-1. Assuming that a new shell formed after every rotation of the comet, a rotation period of 7.8+/-0.2 hours was derived. The spin axis orientation was estimated at RA 210+/-10d, Dec. +3+/-10d. The comamorphology appears related to two strong, diametrically opposite emissions located at mid-latitudes on the nucleus. A qualitative modelling of the coma produced consistent results with a wide range of dust sizes (0.80 to 800 micro-m), with inversely correlated densities (0.003 to 3.0 g cm^-3). Images taken with Vj and r-Sloan filters showed a greater concentration of dust in the first two shells, and an increasing density of radicals emitting in the B and V band-passes from the third shell outwards. We review the recent developments in the study of conformal field theories in generic space time dimensions using the methods of the conformal bootstrap, in its analytic aspect. These techniques are based solely on symmetries, in particular in the analytic structure and in the associativity of the operator product expansion. We computed a set of structures which appear in the four-point function of protected operators of dimension two in $\mathcal{N}=4$ Super Yang Mills with $SU(N)$ gauge group, at any order in a large $N$ expansion. They are determined only by leading order CFT data. By focusing on a specific limit, we made connection with the dual supergravity amplitude in flat space, where such structures correspond to iterated $s$-cuts. We study the four point function of the superconformal primary of the stress-tensor multiplet in four dimensional $\mathcal{N}=4$ Super Yang Mills, at large 't Hooft coupling and in a large $N$ expansion. This observable is holographically dual to four graviton amplitudes in type IIB supergravity on $AdS_5 \times S^5$. We construct the most trascendental piece of the correlator at order $N^{-6}$ and compare it with the flat space limit of the corresponding two loops amplitude. We study holographic entanglement entropy and holographic complexity in a two-charge, $\frac{1}{4}$-BPS family of solutions of type IIB supergravity, controlled by one dimensionless parameter. All the geometries in this family are asymptotically AdS$_3 \times \mathbb{S}^3 \times \mathbb{T}^4$ and, varying the parameter that controls them, they interpolates between the global AdS$_3 \times \mathbb{S}^3 \times \mathbb{T}^4$ and the massless BTZ$_3 \times \mathbb{S}^3 \times \mathbb{T}^4$ geometry. Due to AdS/CFT duality, these geometries are dual to pure CFT heavy states. We find that there is no emergence of entanglement shadow for all the values of the parameter and we discuss the relation with the massless BTZ result, underlying the relevance of the nature of the dual states. We also compute the holographic complexity of formation of these geometries, finding a nice monotonic function that interpolates between the pure AdS$_3$ result and the massless BTZ one., Comment: 24+8 pages, 5 figures
