8. Photoexcited carriers transfer properties in a doped double quantum dots photocell

Abstract

Identifying the behavior of photoexcited carriers is one method for empirically boosting their transfer efficiencies in doped double quantum dots (DQDs) photocells. The photoexcited carriers transfer qualities were assessed in this study by the output current, power, and output efficiency in the multi-photon absorption process for a doped DQDs photocell, and an optimization technique is theoretically obtained for this proposed photocell model. The results show that some structure parameters caused by doping, such as gaps, incoherent tunneling coupling, and symmetry of structure between two vertically aligned QDs, can remarkably control the photoexcited carriers transfer properties, and that slightly increasing the ambient temperature around room temperature is beneficial to the transfer performance in this doping DQDs photocell model. 18. Comparison of accuracy of maxillary dentition defect models acquired through digital impression and traditional pressure impression

Abstract

Objective To compare the accuracy of maxillary dentition defect models obtained by digital impression and traditional pressure impression, analyzing the influencing factors. Methods Twenty patients with maxillary dentition defects(25 free ends and 18 non-free ends)were selected. Digital impression and traditional pressure impression were utilized to fabricate models of maxillary dentition defects. Digital impressions were obtained through intraoral scanning(TRIOS2, 3Shape). For the same patient, traditional pressure impression and perfusion plaster model were used for window scanning(SHINING 3D), and the resulting STL format digital model was exported. In Geomagic Control X software, conversion fit and best fit analyses were conducted on the two digital models using the remaining abutment as reference landmarks. The total deviation(T) between the two digital models was measured, and positional deviations of the alveolar crest in mesial(M), central(C), distal(D), and maxillary palate(P)regions of the defect area were calculated. A comparison was made between free end defect area and non-free end defect area, followed by statistical analysis using t-test. Results When the remaining abutments were utilized as reference points for conversion fitting, the total deviation between the two digital models was measured at 0.03 mm, while the positional deviations of M, C, D, P positions amounted to 0.47 mm, 0.65 mm, 1.48 mm and 0.07 mm respectively. In the best fitting, the total deviation between the two digital models was 0.03 mm, while the positional deviations of M, C, D, P, were measured to be 0.50 mm, 0.66 mm, 1.43 mm and 0.08 mm respectively. The two fitting methods exhibited no statistically significant distinction(P>0.05). The comparison results between the free end defect area and the non-free end defect area revealed that the mean deviations of C and D sites in the free end defect area were 1.07 mm and 2.38 mm, respectively, which exceeded those observed in the non-free end defect area(0.08 mm and 0.11 mm, P

Abstract

The effects of common vulcanization （CV) system, semi-effective vulcanization （SEV) system, effective vulcanization （EV) system, and dicumene peroxide （DCP) vulcanization system on the mechanical properties and electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of Eucommia ulmoides gum （EUG) composites were studied. The results showed that the difference in vulcanization rates of CV system, SEV system and EV system was not significant, and the DCP vulcanization system had the lowest vulcanization rate and crosslinking degree, and exhibited the highest crystallinity degree. The elongation at break of EUG composites of the sulfur vulcanization systems were all higher than that of EUG composite of the peroxide vulcanization system, but the tensile strength was lower, and when DCP was used as the vulcanization agent, the tensile strength of EUG composite could increase by up to 10.6% compared with that of EUG composites of the sulfur vulcanization systems. EUG composites of sulfur vulcanization system exhibited good conductivity and the higher crosslinking density, which was conducive to the formation of conductive network, and the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of EUG compo-sites of the EV system was 22% higher than that of EUG composites of the unvulcanized system.

Abstract

"Firstly, Eucommia ulmoides gum (EUG) was epoxidized to obtain epoxidized EUG (EEUG). Then, EEUG grafted silicon dioxide (SiO2) composite (EEUG-g-SiO2) was prepared by wet graf-ting SiO2 onto EEUG. The structure and properties of EEUG-g-SiO2 composite were studied. The results showed that compared with EUG/SiO2 and EEUG/SiO2 mechanical blends, the dispersion of nano SiO2 in EEUG-g-SiO2 vulcanizate was significantly improved and the mechanical properties were greatly improved. Compared with EUG/SiO2 vulcanizates, the tear strength of EEUG-g-SiO2 vulcanizate increased by 30.9%, fatigue resistance increased by 575%, and abrasion decreased by 94%. Compared with EEUG/SiO2 vulcanizate, the tear strength of EEUG-g-SiO2 vulcanizate increased by 10.5%, fatigue resistance increased by 68.6%, abrasion decreased by 72%, and the compression heat build-up decreased significantly."

Abstract

Atherosclerosis is a common chronic systemic vascular disease that can cause coronary artery heart disease (CHD) and carotid artery stenosis. CHD and carotid artery stenosis usually coexist, and they are important risk factors for complications after revascularization. There is still no consensus on how to choose a revascularization strategy when both diseases are present. This article reviews the epidemiology and revascularization strategies of CHD combined with carotid artery stenosis in order to provide a theoretical basis for the effective treatment of comorbidity.
