The concept of authenticity has recently been associated with Rousseau’s views of the self and its role in modern culture. Widely recognized and thus, perhaps, underestimated as an interpreter of Marx, Marshall Berman offers a controversial reading of Rousseau in the late 1960s. In his reading, Berman proposes to view the role of the search for authenticity as a means of liberating individuals from what he refers to as self-alienation and social oppression in capitalist modernity. His reading also suggests that the making of an authentic man and a politics of authenticity make it possible for individuals to develop their personal authenticity. This thesis challenges the view of Berman as a purely Marxist thinker and argues that his reading of Rousseau sheds light on the paradox of modernity that modernity liberates both the tendency for self-perfection and the search for personal authenticity, representing a break with various features of Marxist humanism and a revision of liberalism that tends not to merely rely on representative democracy and the establishment of a legal and constitutional framework. The new radical liberalism requires building a politics of authenticity that not only protects its members from inequality but also encourages the development of their personal authenticity and social reforms from within.

With the development of university campus construction, the campus planning and architectural design concept also presents a variety of characteristics. The university gate is an important part of the university campus city interface, which is of great significance for the display of the overall image of the campus and the education concept. On the basis of summarizing the development process and morphological characteristics of university gate, this paper analyzes the suitability of its scale, culture and landscape, and puts forward corresponding design strategies. The paper concludes that the school gate scale suitability design should be based on people, from the perspective of human comfort, to determine the appropriate scale, cultural suitability design should take into account the discipline characteristics and regional culture, landscape suitability design should adapt to the climate characteristics.

This Microfinance is one of the services which are exclusively marketed to the bottom of the pyramid (BOP) market. In China, rural households can be regarded as a segment of the BOP market. In their production and lives, rural households still face with the problem of fund shortage. Bases on theory of planned behavior, a relationship model has been built to investigate the influencing mechanism of family norms of China's rural households and knowledge of microfinance on their intentions to obtain microcredit via positive attitude, perceived benefits, perceived deterrents and default risk perceptions. An empirical study of China's rural households shows that positive attitude and perceived benefits can enhance intentions to obtain microcredit, whereas perceived deterrents can reduce them. And default risk perceptions were not a significant predictor of intentions of applying for microcredit. As driving factors, knowledge of microcredit and family norms positively influenced these four attitudes. Therefore, this study not only has the theoretical significance in perfecting the theoretical system of BOP market, but also has practical implications in solving financial difficulties of China's rural households and optimizing microfinance services.
