Proton has great advantages in the field of cancer radiotherapy because of its good characteristic of Bragg peak. HUST-PTF is a proton therapy facility under development in Huazhong University of science and technology. It delivers the beam to the patients with a pencil beam scanning nozzle. Scanning power supplies are placed in the nozzle of the proton therapy device and they are required high accuracy, high speed and high stability. In this paper，the structure diagram of HUST-PTF is shown. The parameters of scanning magnets and its power supply are introduced. Finally, some test results of power supply are shown. The next work will debug the control system of the scanning power supply and adjust it with the scanning magnet to see if it meets the design requirements., Proceedings of the 10th Int. Proton therapy is recognized as one of the most effec-tive radiation therapy method for cancers. Insulated core transformer (ICT) high voltage power supply is an ideal model for industrial radiation accelerator at energy below 1MeV. Compared to the traditional scheme, a novel ICT high voltage power supply was put forward. Conventional silicon steel sheets were replaced with manganese zinc ferrites, raising working frequency from 50Hz to thousand hertz. Magnetic structure was changed from three-phase structure to four-phase structure. Accordingly, excitation voltage was changed from three-phase sinusoidal wave to square wave. Polyimide was chosen as insulation material instead of teflon or mica. A prototype of 400kV/50mA was designed, simulated and verified with the aid of finite element analysis software. The traditional electron beam scanning magnet has many disadvantages, for example, the regulatory of excitation current is very complex and the irradiation uniformity as well as the irradiation area is very difficult to improve and expand. Thus the author of the paper proposes an innovative technology of a permanent magnet spread system for 10 MeV irradiation accelerator which uses a special configuration of the magnetic field to spread electron beam bunch directly and would remarkably improve the spread uniformity, simplify the accelerator and would be helpful to protect the titanium window and expand the irradiation area. To promote the research and talent cultivation for ITER negative ion sources, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) has started to develop an experimental facility since 2011 under the support of Ministry of Science and Technology of China. As the first stage, we are building a radio frequency (RF) driver which will produce the plasma for yielding negative ions in the next stage. The proposal for a radioactive nuclear beam facility at CIAE is based on the present HI-13 tandem accelerator. A new intensity proton cyclotron accelerator will be built to provide a primary proton beam with 70 MeV, 200 μA. A thick target-ion source system and an on-line isotope mass separator system will produce the interesting exotic radioactive nuclear beam. The beam then passes through a charge exchange canal to change its charge state to negative ion and is injected into the present HI-13 tandem. A super conducting heavy ion linac accelerator will be built as a post accelerator, which can give an energy gain of 17 MeV/q. A 5 MeV/A radioactive exotic ion beam with an intensity of more than 6 × 108 p.p.s for masses up to A = 130 will be expected with this facility.

A 2D field computer software package DE2D has been developed. It can be used for magnetostatic, electrostatic and eddy current field computations. The package runs in mini or micro-computers. The data preparation is greatly simplified when configuration periodicity is fully used.

In this paper, some experiences of using an Integral Equation Method to calculate magnetostatic fields are presented, such as the choice of the element shapes and the derivation of the analytical expresions of the coefficients. Some results have been checked against the measured value or the results from other calculations.
