Aiming at the current problems in the safety monitoring of urban manhole covers, this paper proposes a safety monitoring system for manhole covers based on smart light poles. The system uses STM32F103C8T6 as the microcontroller, and processes and controls the movement, loss, tilt, flooding, and positioning data of the manhole cover. Then, the data frame is sent to the LoRa gateway of the nearby smart light pole through the LoRa communication protocol, and the LoRa gateway will transmit the abnormal state of the manhole cover to the large screen display of the smart light pole through the bus. At the same time, a voice broadcast is carried out to remind localized road vehicles and pedestrians. Besides, it is sent to the IoT cloud platform KitLink, and the cloud platform will push the abnormal status data to the subscribed management user, and the user will quickly process it according to the positioning data. Among them, the terminal sensing control device of the manhole cover adopts an integrated package, and at the same time, it is installed at the center point under the manhole cover by using a waterproof material. It can not only carry out reliable and accurate installation without changing the original components but also can effectively monitor the safety. Through the design and implementation test of the system, it can be seen that the system can efficiently and accurately realize all-round and multi-modal safety linkage monitoring of urban manhole covers.

Background There have been few studies focused on the prevalence, bacterial etiology, antibiotic resistance, and genetic background of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) in children with acute otitis media (AOM) in China. Methods A retrospective study was conducted in Liuzhou Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital. Patients younger than 18 years diagnosed with AOM were enrolled in the study. Middle ear fluid specimens were collected and cultured for bacterial pathogens. The antibiotic susceptibility, virulence genes, macrolide resistant genes and sequence types of S. aureus were identified. Results From January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2015, a total of 228 cases of AOM were identified. Pathogenic bacteria were positive in 181 (79.4%) of 228 specimens. Streptococcus pneumoniae was the most common bacteria (36.4%), followed by S. aureus (16.2%). Among the 37 S. aureus isolates, 12 (23.5%) were methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), and 25 (77.5%) were methicillin-susceptible S. aureus (MSSA). A total of 23 isolates (62.2%) were resistant to erythromycin, 40.5% of isolates were resistant to clindamycin, and 37.8% isolates were resistant to tetracycline. Twenty-three isolates were multi-drug resistant (MDR) S. aureus. Eighteen isolates carried the pvl gene. Up to 22 (59.4%) isolates expressed ermA gene, 8 (21.6%) isolates expressed both ermA and ermC genes, and only 8.1% expressed ermB. Among all S.aureus isolates, 7 sequence types (STs) were identified by multilocus sequence typing (MLST). The most common ST was ST59 (16/37, 43.2%), followed by ST45 (7/37, 18.9%) and ST30 (7/37, 18.9%). The predominant MSSA isolates were ST59-t437-MSSA (5/25, 20.0%), the prevailing MRSA isolates were Taiwan related strains ST59-SCCmec-IVa/V (5/12, 41.6%). Conclusions S. aureus was the second most common cause for AOM in children in Liuzhou. Most of the S. aureus was MDR which carried a high proportion of ermA and ermC gene. CA-MRSA (ST59-SCCmec-IV/V-t437) is circulating in children with AOM. These findings support continued surveillance of S. aureus infections in children with AOM in both communities and hospitals.

Combinatory enhancement of innate and adaptive immune responses is a promising strategy in immunotherapeutic drug development. Bifunctional macromolecules that simultaneously target two mechanisms may provide additional advantages over the combination of targeting two single pathways. Interferon alpha (IFNα) has been used clinically against viral infection such as the chronic infection of hepatitis B virus (CHB) as well as some types of cancers. OX40 is a costimulatory immune checkpoint molecule involved in the activation of T lymphocytes. To test whether simultaneously activating IFNα and OX40 signaling pathway could produce a synergistic therapeutic effect on CHB and tumors, we designed a bifunctional fusion protein composed of a mouse OX40 agonistic monoclonal antibody (OX86) and a mouse IFNα4, joined by a flexible (GGGGS)3 linker. This fusion protein, termed OX86-IFN, can activate both IFNα and OX40. We demonstrated that OX86-IFN could effectively activate T lymphocytes in the peripheral blood of mice. Furthermore, we showed that OX86-IFN had superior therapeutic effect to monotherapies in HBV hydrodynamic transfection and syngeneic tumor models. Collectively, our data suggests that simultaneously targeting interferon and OX40 signaling pathways by bifunctional molecule OX86-IFN elicits potent antiviral and antitumor activities, which could provide a new strategy in developing therapeutic agents against viral infection and tumors.

The operation of electric power industry is closely linked to the smooth development of society, so the study on the using efficiency of power resources is significant. Based on the study sample, the data from 2011 to 2018, this paper analyzes the annual using efficiency of power resources based on DEA model, obtains the slack variable values of input and output, calculates the projection values of invalid variables and gets that the amount of power resources used in power industry is relatively higher. This theory avoids the research on the cost problem of each investment, and completely transforms multi-input and multi-production into fractional problem, so that applying DEA to measure using efficiency can combine input with production, and evaluation indicators finally obtained are more comprehensive and representative. It can be observed from the analysis results that the using efficiency of electrical energy also significantly affects the using efficiency of power resources, so improving the using methods and making all resources allocated relatively optimal can maximize the output, in order to make the using efficiency of power resources reach the maximum value.

Aiming at the actual needs of industrial robots in the handling process of sorting and picking according to the types of objects, a design scheme of visual inspection and workpiece recognition based on deep learning is proposed. The solution uses deep learning to model the object recognition system, builds the mapping relationship between the image and the object category, and realizes the effective recognition of the object image information. After the analysis is completed, the industrial robot classifies the object according to the given information. Experiments show that the use of deep learning image detection mode can realize the classification and picking operation of industrial robots, which can meet the needs of some actual scene operations.

Target recognition is a very important part in the field of image processing. The effect of target recognition directly affects the success or failure of subsequent processing. This paper proposed a dynamic target recognition method based on correlation tracking algorithm. The correlation tracking algorithm only needs matching the original data of grey level of related images, no feature extraction or division is required for images. In this case, all information of this series of images can be kept, and the correlation tracking algorithm also has many advantages, no complex pre-processing of the original images is required, and the grey level of images can be used to directly matching key points, so the possibility of implementation is greatly increased. Moreover, under the condition of low noise, matching also can be carried out, and there is no high demand for the quality of sequential images. In such an approach, its local anti-interference ability is very strong. The correlation tracking algorithm can be used to predict the trajectory of a moving object in real life. The experimental results show that the proposed method can detect the objects in an image by providing the region of objects and the background with different colors. The conclusions can be drawn that the proposed method can successfully tackle the object recognition task in most cases.

In this paper, the problem of an elliptic hole embedded in an infinite plate interacting with an arbitrary point load is revisited by using the complex variable method. Based on analytical continuation theorem, the continuity conditions across the interface are automatically satisfied in a straightforward manner. It is shown that the solution for an infinite domain with an elliptic hole can be obtained from the solution of the corresponding homogeneous problem merely by a simple algebraic expression. This relation is universal in the sense of being independent of the loading considered. The solution of the corresponding homogeneous problem is considered as the principal part of the complex potentials while the complementary part of the complex potentials can be obtained by using analytical continuation theorem. Different expressions of the complementary part of the complex potentials are presented in this paper which are all proved to be the same result.

In order to investigate the characteristics of atmospheric trace metals deposition in the hinterland of the Three Gorges Reservoir, the wet and dry deposition samples were collected at an urban area sampling site in Wanzhou during January to June 2014. Besides, the samples were collected at five other sampling sites in April 2014 for comparative analysis, including factory region, town suburb, nature reserve, county suburb, and rural area. pH, conductivity, and trace metals (Al, As, B, Ba, Bi, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Li, Mn, Pb, Ni, Sb, Sr, Sn, Ti, Zn, V) were analyzed. In urban area, the acid rain frequency was 48.44% , and the acid rain occurred mainly in the period of January to April. The order of acid rain frequency in various functional areas was factory regionurban areacounty suburbtown suburbnature reservecounty rural area. All of the trace metals in wet deposition during the sampling period were lower than the National Environmental Quality Standard for Surface Water Standard of Class III. Cd, Cu, Ph and Zn were found exceeding the standard of class I , and the pollution in factory region was more serious compared to other functional areas. The extract pH of dry deposition in urban area was in the range of 4.91-6.74, with an average value of 5.79. The order of dry deposition in various functional areas was factory regioncounty suburburban areacounty rural areatown suburbnature reserve, which was exactly the same as that of the wet deposition, indicating the similar sources of dry and wet deposition. In urban area, the contents of Ba, Co, Cu, Cr, Li, Mn, Ni, Sr, Zn in dry deposition were greater than those in wet deposition, but the contents of Al, As, B, Bi, Cd, Fe, Ph, Sb, Sn, Ti, V showed the opposite trend. Analysis of the enrichment factors showed that Al was in moderate enrichment, while Bi and Cd were significantly enriched.

An improved RSA cryptosystem based on chaotic synchronization is newly presented in this paper. First, the design of a discrete sliding mode controller (DSMC) is proposed to make the master and slave chaotic systems synchronized, then a modified RSA encryption algorithm is proposed. In the traditional RSA cryptosystem, the public key needs to be open or transmitted in the public channel which provides an opportunity to attack. In this design, the public key is hidden and does not appear in public channels. Therefore, not only RSA's security features can be retained, but also can significantly promote the security of traditional RSA cryptosystem.

Privacy, trust and confidentiality are the main issues of sensor layer in Internet of Things (IOT). In sensor layer, the sensing information must be transmitted from sensor node to gather node by multiple hopping. Every sensor node will be the sender and the relay node to forward the sensing information sent by other nodes. In this paper, BS embeds S+1 secret into the keys that are derived from the real identity of sensor node, to be as the private secret keys for every sensor node. One of the secret is the common secret that is owned by all sensor nodes, the rest S secretes are the random secret used for making mutual trust. Based on the secret index set and private secret keys, we propose a mutual trust method to explore the trust types and the pairing value among the sensor nodes without any negotiating process. To deny the right of malicious nodes to make trust with other nodes, we involve a group key to hash the secret index set to do making trust and pairing value mutually. Based on the trust types and the pairing values, the sensor nodes can set a secure path to deliver the sensing information to base station.

Stroke is a major public health problem leading to high rates of death and disability in adults. Coupling of postsynaptic density protein-95 (PSD-95) and neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) plays an important part in neuronal damage caused by stroke. Recent studies suggest the possibility of alleviating post ischemia neuron damage by blocking ischemia-induced nNOS-PSD-95 association. Here, we report a small-molecular inhibitor of nNOS-PSD-95 interaction, SCR-4026, which exhibits neuroprotective activities in NMDA-induced or Oxygen and glucose deprivation (OGD)-induced neuronal damage in primary cortical neurons cultures, and ameliorated focal cerebral ischemic damage in rats subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) and reperfusion. Furthermore, we found that SCR-4026 was also able to promote neural stem cells to differentiate into neurons-like cells, which is potentially of great significance for neural protection. Taken together, SCR-4026 is identified as a novel small molecule that shows great potential in treating stroke.

Motion estimation have a significant impact in H.265 video coding systems because it occupies a large amount of time in encoding. So the quality of motion search algorithm affect the entire encoding efficiency directly. In this paper, a novel search algorithm which utilizes an adaptive hexagon and small diamond search is proposed to overcome the drawbacks of the traditional block matching algorithm implemented in the most current video coding standards. The adaptive search pattern is chosen according to the motion strength of the current block. When the block is in active motion, the hexagon search provides an efficient search means; when the block is inactive, the small diamond search is adopted. Simulation results showed that our approach can speed up the search process with little effect on distortion performance compared with other adaptive approaches.

This paper investigated the interaction between an edge dislocation and a nonuniformly coated circular inclusion. Based on the technique of conformal mapping and the method of analytical continuation in conjunction with alternating technique, the solutions to plane elasticity problems for three dissimilar media are derived explicitly in a series form. For a limiting case when the thickness of the interphase layer is uniform, the derived analytical solutions of this paper are reduced to exactly the same results available in the literature. The image force acting on the dislocation is then determined by using the Peach–Koehler formula. It is found that the combination of material constants and nonuniformity of the interphase thickness will exert a significant influence on the dislocation force.

In this study, we quantified the atmospheric wet deposition (AWD) of 13 trace metals (TMs) and estimated their potential effects on the surface water of the Three Gorges Reservoir in China. Precipitation was collected in Wanzhou in southwestern China from March 2015 to February 2016. The concentrations and fluxes of the 13 TMs were in the ranges of 0.16–9.44 µg L−1 and 0.18–10.22 mg m−2 yr−1, respectively, in the order Al > Zn > Fe > Ba > Pb > Mn > Ti > Cd > Cu > As > V > Ni ≈ Cr. Using principal component analysis, it was found that Al, Ba, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn were mainly derived from a mixture of soil and road dust, As, Cd, Cr, Pb and Ti primarily originated from the local industries, and Ni and V were related to diesel and gasoline combustion, including both vehicle exhaust emissions and ship emissions from the nearby Yangtze River. The estimated TM inputs to the Three Gorges Reservoir were 11.1, 11.0, 5.7, 5.3, 4.5, 2.7, 2.5, 1.5, 1.0, 0.7, 0.5, 0.2, and 0.2 t yr−1 for Al, Zn, Fe, Ba, Pb, Mn, Ti, Cd, Cu, As, V, Ni and Cr, respectively. The AWD TM fluxes in Wanzhou were lower than those in metropolises and their inputs were limited for surface water of the Three Gorges Reservoir. However, Cd was strongly enriched in precipitation and rainstorms greatly increased the surface water concentrations of Cd and Pb. Therefore, the behavior of Cd and Pb in southwestern mountain areas of China, including emission, transport, transformation, and their ecological effects, should be given more attention in future studies.

The forced swimming test (FST) is suggested to produce abnormalities in the serotonergic and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis systems. Therefore, compounds that attenuate these neurobiological alterations may have potential as antidepressants. The behavioral and biochemical effects of psoralen, a major furocoumarin isolated from Psoralea corylifolia, were investigated in the FST model of depression in male mice. Psoralen significantly reduced immobility and increased swimming without altering climbing in the mouse FST. Psoralen remarkably reversed FST-induced alterations in serotonin (5-HT) and 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) levels in frontal cortex and hippocampus in mice. Furthermore, psoralen attenuated FST-induced elevations in serum corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) and corticosterone concentrations to normalize the HPA axis activity. These results suggested that psoralen possessed potent antidepressant-like properties which were at least in part mediated by improving the abnormalities in the serotonergic and the HPA axis systems.

A microwave assisted extraction (MAE) procedure was first developed for the simultaneous determination of isoflavonoids and astragalosides in Radix Astragali (RA). MAE showed the highest extraction efficiency when compared to Soxhlet, reflux, and ultrasonic extraction. It was found that flavonoid glycoside malonates were converted into their related glycosides during the prolonged conventional extraction, thus affecting the reproducibility. However, the conversion was inhibited when using MAE. After being optimized in terms of solvents, microwave power, and irradiation time, MAE was used for the simultaneous determination of isoflavonoids and astragalosides in RA with HPLC-UV-evaporative light scattering detection (ELSD). Our results indicated that extraction by MAE was more effective than by other conventional techniques. Moreover, the MAE method followed by HPLC-UV-ELSD determination was a simple, rapid, and reliable method for the quality assessment of RA.

Total suspended particles (TSP), collected during a typical haze period in Guangzhou, were analyzed for the fatty acids (C12-C30) and low molecular weight dicarboxylic acids (C3-C9) using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The results showed that the concentration of total fatty and carboxylic acids was pretty high during the haze episode. The ratios of fatty acids and carboxylic acids in haze to those in normal days were 1.9 and 2.5, respectively. During the episode of the increasing pollution, the fatty acids and carboxylic acids at night (653 ng x m(-3)) was higher than that (487 ng x m(-3)) in days. After that, the level of fatty acids and carboxylic acids in days (412 ng x m(-3)) was higher than that (336 ng x m(-3)) at night. In general, the time-series of fatty acids and carboxylic acids was similar to that of the air particle and carbonaceous species, however, the trend of the ratio of fatty acids and carboxylic acids to organic carbon was opposite to that of air particle and carbonaceous species. This ratio decreased with the increase of the concentration of air particle and after the night of 27th, the ratio increased with the decrease in the concentration of air particle. The results showed that haze pollution had a significant inhibitory effect on the enrichment of fatty and carboxylic acids. Based on the ratio of malonate to succinate (C3/C4), it could be found that primary sources contribute more to the atmospheric fatty and carboxylic acids during the autumn haze pollution periods in Guangzhou.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in Foshan City were investigated in December 6 to 30 2008. The concentrations of VOCs in haze days were significantly higher than those in no-haze days. Toluene (68.93 microg x m(-3) +/- 37.78 microg x m(-3)) was the most abundant compound of VOCs in haze days and i-pentane (20.59 microg x m(-3) +/- 14.28 microg x m(-3)) was the most abundant compound in no-haze days, respectively. During haze episodes, the diurnal variations of alkanes and alkynes were not significantly; however, alkenes and aromatic hydrocarbon decreased significantly at noon. During no-haze episodes, the diurnal variations patterns of VOCs were stable. Propylene-equivalent concentrations in haze days were significantly higher than those in no-haze days, toluene was the most abundant compound of Propylene-equivalent concentration in haze days, followed by propene and ethene; propene was the most abundant compound in no-haze days, followed by ethene and 1-butene. High concentration of benzene (18.1 microg x m(-3)) in haze days posed a great health threat to public in Foshan city. Both diurnal variation of VOCs and measured ratios indicated vehicular emissions acted as the main sources of most VOCs and other sources like solvent application also contributed to VOCs (benzene and toluene).

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of fog processes on the physical and chemical properties of aerosol particles in an urban atmosphere. Atmospheric particles were collected in the urban atmosphere of Beijing during fog and non-fog episodes. The morphology, size and elemental composition of individual particles were characterized using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDX). EDX analysis showed that elongated particles were composed of Ca-K-S or Ca-S, and most sub-round particles contained sulfur. Large amounts of elongated and sub-round particles were identified in the samples collected during fog episodes, and they were rarely detected in the samples collected during non-fog episodes. This suggests that the high relative humidity in the fogs facilitated the formation of elongated and sub-round particles. Number concentrations of particles larger than 0.2 microm were about 5 to 8 times higher during the fog episodes. In addition, a new mode around 0.4 microm appeared in number size distribution of particles during the fog episodes. These results indicate that heterogeneous reactions in the fogs could greatly change the chemical and physical properties of particles.
