Kontrastmittelanreicherungen der Meningen können bei vielen Erkrankungen unterschiedlicher Ätiologie beobachtet werden. Die Einführung neuer MRT-Verfahren, wie der dreidimensionalen „magnetization-prepared rapid-acquisition-gradient-echo“ (3D MP-RAGE)-Sequenz, haben zu einer prominenteren Darstellung veränderter Meningen geführt und sich in der alltäglichen, klinischen Praxis etabliert. Unklar blieb bislang allerdings, ob eine subjektive Verdickung erkrankter Meningen objektiv quantifizierbar ist und durch Messungen signifikante Unterschiede im Durchmesser und der Morphologie zu ermitteln sind. Ziel dieser Arbeit war, neben der Analyse verdickter Meningen in dem bislang größten vergleichbaren Patientenkollektiv, die klinischen Ursachen kontrastmittelaufnehmender Meningen bei unterschiedlichen MRT-Verfahren zu untersuchen, besonders in Hinblick auf die Meningeosis neoplastica. Dazu wurden ca. 41.500 Befunde aus den Jahren 2011-2016 mittels Stichwortsuche durchsucht, von denen 197 Untersuchungen in die Studie aufgenommen wurden und schließlich 108 Patienten komplett analysiert werden konnten. Verglichen wurden Schädel-MRTs nach Kontrastmittelgabe mit den Sequenzen T1 und 3D MP-RAGE gegen eine Kontrollgruppe von 121 Patienten mit normalen Meningen. Native T2-FLAIR-Sequenzen wurden für die Analyse der Morphologie und Signalintensität genutzt.
