Bu tezde öncelikle exlibris ve Art Nouveau'nun tarihsel sürecinin anlatılmasının yanı sıra özellikle Art Nouveau döneminde ortaya çıkan exlibrisler incelenmiş ve örneklerine yer verilmiştir.Art Nouveau, 19. yüzyılın sonları ile 20. yüzyılın sonları arasında tüm Avrupa ve Birleşik Devletlerde büyük ün kazanan dekoratif bir üsluptur. En belirgin özellikleri zarif, dalgalı çizgiler, bitki motifleri, hayvan ve kadın figürlerinin kullanılmış olmasıdır. Bu dönemde eserlerde anlatılan konudan çok göze hoş görünmesi esas alınmıştır.Exlibris, kitabın sahibini tanıtan, kitabın iç kısmına damgalanan ve kişiye özel tasarlanan özgün tasarımlardır. Tarihte en eski exlibrisin M.Ö. 1400 yıllarından Mısır Kralı III. Amenhotep'e (Firavun III. Amenhophis) ait olduğu bilinmektedir.Exlibris Art Nouveau döneminde yani 19. yüzyılda altın çağını yaşamıştır. Bu dönemde resimli exlibrisler ortaya çıkmış ve yine aynı dönemde kitaba yapıştırılma işlevinin dışında, biriktirme objesi olarak da algılanmaya başlanmıştır. Exlibris koleksiyonculuğuna olan ilgi artmıştır. Exlibrisle ilgilenenler topluluklar kurulmuş ve dergiler yayınlanmaya başlamıştır. In this thesis; the characteristic of Bookplate and Art Nouveau is commentated and the relevant examples are given in the pages.Art Noveau is an crucial decorative pattern which took place in between late 19th century and 20th century among the Europe and the United States. The gracious sinuous drawings and the motives of various plants, animal and the women are the most significant features in this period. In this stage the beauty of the works of art is more important than the story which is told in these works. The Bookplate, is a design which introduce the owner of the book and also is a specific design belonging to the one person. It is known that the oldest exlibris were Made in B.C. 1400 by the king of Egypt Amenhotep III. (Also known As Pharaoh Amenhophis).The Bookplate as picture were appeared in their heyday which is in 19th century and they are also considered as something which can be collected by the people, and the collecting of Bookplate were begun in this era. People had huge interest in collecting these arts, henceforth they published magazines and created communities about Bookplate. 112

Radikal İslam'dan beslenen terör saldırılarındaki artış, göç krizi ve buna bağlı olarak Avrupa çapında aşırı sağ siyasi partilere verilen desteğin artması gibi son dönemde yaşanan gelişmeler, İslam'ı Avrupa gündemine bir kez daha tehdit olarak getirmiştir. İslamofobinin Müslümanların zihinlerinde yaygın olarak var olan bir olgu haline gelmesi sonucunu ortaya çıkaran bu gelişmeler, İslam'ı bir tehdit olarak inşa ederken Müslümanlara ve Müslüman gruplara karşı dışlama ve ayrımcılık yaratmaktadır. Avrupalı Müslümanları olumsuz yönde etkileyen gelişmeler olarak gözlemlenen İslamofobi, kendisini Avrupa'da hem bireysel hem de kurumsal düzeyde göstermektedir. İslamofobinin ilk türü bireylerin tutum ve davranışlarında kendisini gösterirken, sonraki tür Avrupa kurum ve kuruluşlarının uygulamalarında ve politikalarında gizli kalmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, bu çalışma Müslüman azınlık gruplarının İslamofobiyi ortaya çıkaran mekanizmaları nasıl algıladıklarını ve bu mekanizmalara referansla toplumsal seviyedeki güvensizliği nasıl inşa ettikleri incelemektedir. Avrupa'da Müslüman güvensizliğinin inşasını inceleyen çalışma ayrıca İslamofobi tarafından ortaya çıkan bu güvensizliğe karşı Müslümanların (sosyal, siyasal, radikal) tepkilerinin gelişiminin de üzerinde durmaktadır. The recent developments such as the increasing number of the terrorist attacks taking its motivation from radical Islam, migration crisis and relatedly growing support for the far-right political parties throughout Europe have brought Islam to the European agenda as a threat once again. These developments, as a result of which Islamophobia became so commonly existing phenomena in thinking of Muslims, produced exclusion and discrimination towards Muslims and Muslim groups by constructing Islam as a threat,. As developments adversely affecting the European Muslims, Islamophobia has manifested itself in Europe at both individual and institutional levels. While the former type of Islamophobia is expressed through individual behaviours and attitudes, the latter is hidden in the practices and policies of European organizations and institutions. In this context, this study examines how Muslim minority groups in Europe comprehend the mechanisms by which Islamophobia is practiced and how they construct insecurities at the societal level with reference to these mechanisms. While analysing the construction of Muslim insecurity in Europe, the study also elaborates on the development of Muslim responses (social, political and radical) towards the insecurity generated by Islamophobia. 144

Beynin işlevsel yapısı ve bunun davranışsal yansımaları halen tam olarak bilinmemektedir. Difüzyon tensör görüntüleme (DTG) hücresel düzeyde olan değişiklikleri göstermede hassas, difüzyon tensör traktografi (DTT) ise beyaz cevher yapı, bağlantı ve yolaklarını daha iyi anlamamızı sağlayan görüntüleme tekniğidir. Hafıza ile ilişkili yolaklar; amigdala, hipokampüs ve temporal lobu beynin diğer alanlarıyla bağlantısını sağlar. Nöropsikolojik testler (NPT) beynin nasıl işlediğini anlamamıza yardımcı olur. Temporal lobe yerleşimli MTS, DNET, grade II lezyonlar hafıza işlevlerini bozabilir. Bu çalışmadaki amacımız; temporal lobe yerleşimli lezyonu olan hastaların, hafıza ilişkili yolaklarını nöropsikolojik test çıktıları ile karşılaştırmak, böylelikle beynin hafıza ile ilgili fonksiyonlarını daha iyi anlamak. Elde ettiğimiz sonuçlarda, lezyonların hafıza ilişkili yolak yapısında olan etkileşimleri nöropsikolojik testlerle karşılaştırıldığında, sözel, görsel ve kısa süreli hafıza üzerinde değişikliğe yol açtığı gözlenmiştir. DTG ve DTT kullanımı ve NP testlerle karşılaştırılması hafıza ile ilgili beyin yapı ve bağlantılarını ve işlevselliğini daha iyi anlamamıza yardımcı olabilir. Knowledge about brain functions and their links with changes in brain structure is still limited. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is a sensitive tool that can show changes in the microstructure of the brain, and diffusion tensor tractography (DTT) can increase our understanding of white matter structures, pathways and connectivity. Memory functions are mediated by the temporal lobe, including the hippocampus and amygdala, and the connections between them and other brain regions. In humans, memory functions can be assessed with neuropsychological tests (NPT). Brain lesions, such as MTS, DNET, and Grade II, affect the temporal lobe, and might thus result in memory deficits. The purpose of the present study was to examine whether changes in the connectivity of the temporal lobe, as assessed with DTI/DTT, could predict memory deficits in temporal lobe patients. We found that MTS and Grade II patients had lower memory scores compared to DNET patients, but that diffusivity and tractography scores were most preserved in MTS patients which differed significantly only from Grade II patients. Thus, we found deficits in memory performance and measures of DTI/DTT, but the changes were dissociated from each other. We conclude that DTI/DTT is a useful tool to detect changes in microstructure that can be used to study the links with functional impairments. 102

Koruma, tarihsel ve mimari değerleri yüksek olan yapıların, taşıdıkları anlamı günümüze aktarımıdır. Bu çalışmada koruma tanımlandıktan sonra önemli özelliklerinden olan yapılarda yeniden işlevlendirme üzerinde durulmuştur. Yeniden işlevlendirmede temel amaç ilgili yapının taşıdığı tarihsel karakterin ve geleneksel düzenin bozulmaması ile yapının kullanımının yeniden aslına uygun olarak sağlanması ve sonradan oluşabilecek yıkıcı ve zararlı davranışlara meydan bırakmayacak şekilde toplum kullanımına sunulmasıdır.Konunun daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi için İspanya'nın Madrid kentinde bulunan altı adet yapıdan örnekler verilmiş ve çalışma beş bölümde değerlendirilmiştir.Tezin birinci bölümünde, tezin amaç, kapsam ve yöntemi belirlenmiştir.Tezin ikinci bölümünde, koruma kavramları üzerinde durulmuş ve yapıların yeniden işlevlendirilmesini gerektiren nedenler belirtilmiştir. Ayrıca yapıların korunmasının önemi anlatılmış ve korumanın tanımından sonra yeniden işlevlendirilmenin önemi vurgulanmıştır. Bu vurgulamanın ardından üçüncü bölüme geçilmiştir.Tezin üçüncü bölümünde, yeniden işlevlendirilen yapıların iç mekanları değerlendirilmiş ve belirlenen faktörler doğrultusunda verilen işlevlerin gelişmeleri anlatılmıştır. Ayrıca bu bölümde, işlevlendirmenin faydaları konusunda bilgi verilerek, özellikle işlevlendirilecek özelliğe sahip yapıların korumalarından bahsedilmektedir.Tezin dördüncü bölümünde, İspanya'nın Madrid kentinde bulunan yapılar tek tek anlatılmış ve orijinal işlevleri ile yeni işlevlerinin gelişimleri incelenmiştir. The conservation is the transfer of the meanings of the buildings of historical and architectural value, to date. In this study, re-functioning of such buildings has been emphasized following the definition of conservation. The main purpose of re-functioning is, conservation of historical character and traditional configuration of the structure in question, ensuring the utilization of the structure in conformity with its original and presenting it to the service of the public in a manner avoiding destructive and harmful conducts which may later happen.Six buildings in the city of Madrid, in Spain have been examined to clarify the subject and this study has been evaluated in 5 parts.In Part I of the thesis, the purpose, coverage and the method have been indicated.In Part II of the thesis, concepts of conservation have been emphasized and the reasons of re-functioning of the buildings have been indicated. In addition, the importance of conservation of buildings has been explained; following the definition of conservation, the importance of re-functioning has been underlined.In Part III of the thesis, the interior spaces of the re-functionalized structures have been evaluated and the progress of the assigned functions in the direction of the designated factors has been explained. In addition, the benefits of re-functioning have been explained and the conservation of re-functionable buildings has been particularly discussed.In Part IV of the thesis, the buildings under consideration in the city of Madrid, in Spain have been described one by one, the changes in the interior spaces have been examined, explaining their original and present functions. The changes from the past up to today have been examined under headlines.In Part V, the conclusion section of the thesis, the functions assigned to the buildings in the city of Madrid, in Spain have been evaluated and effects of renovation of them have been discussed. 175

Bu çalışmada, 2, 4 ve 5 konumlarından metil, flor, nitro bağlı bazı 1-Metilimidazol türevlerinin asitlik-bazlık davranışları araştırılmıştır.Moleküllerin pKa değerleri, en yüksek dolu moleküler orbital (HOMO) enerjileri, en düşük boş moleküler orbital (LUMO) enerjileri, enerji farkları (?E), dipol momentleri (?) ve azot atomu üzerindeki yükleri (qN); yarı deneysel PM6, ab-initio HF/6-311++G(d,p) ve DFT B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) yöntemleri kullanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Her üç yöntemle yapılan hesaplamalardan elde edilen teorik asitlik sabiti değerleri literatürdeki mevcut deneysel sonuçlarla karşılaştırılmıştır.Hesaplanan asitlik sabiti değerleri, deneysel değerlere karşı grafiğe geçirilerek korelasyon katsayısı değerleri belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada hesaplanan teorik verilerin, deneysel sonuçları desteklediği bulunmuştur. Teorik hesaplamalar, deneysel pKa sonuçlarına en yakın değerlerin DFT B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) yöntemi ile yapılan hesaplamalardan elde edildiğini göstermiştir.Ayrıca MarvinSketch v5.3.1 (ChemAxon), SPARC v4,5 (SPARC 2009) ve ALOGPs v2.1 (VCCLAB 2007) programlarında da bu moleküllerin pKa değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, hem literatürdeki deneysel verilerle, hem de kuantum kimyasal yöntemlerle (DFT, HF, PM6) hesaplanan pKa'larla karşılaştırılmıştır. In this study, acidity-basicity behaviour of some 2, 4 and 5 methyl, fluoro and nitro substituted 1-Methylimidazole derivatives were investigated theoretically.pKa values, proton affinities (PA), highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energies, lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energies, energy gaps (?E), dipole moments (?) and charges on nitrogen atoms (qN) of the studied molecules were calculated by using semi-empirical (PM6), ab-initio HF/6-311++G(d,p) and DFT B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) methods. Theoritical acidity constant values obtained from these three methods were compared with the experimental results available in the literature.Correlation coefficient values were determined by using calculated acidity constants and experimental values. It was found that theoretical data calculated in this work supported the experimental results. Theoretical calculations, showed that the results of DFT/6-311++G(d,p) method were the most consistent values to the experimental pKa?s.Furthermore, pKa values of these molecules were calculated by using also MarvinSketch v5.3.1 (ChemAxon), SPARC v4,5 (SPARC 2009) and ALOGPs v2.1 (VCCLAB 2007) programs.
