Purpose: This study aims to test the role that organizational sociopsychological variables may play in influencing job stress and work engagement in an organizational identity change scenario. Design/methodology/approach: On a sample of 118 employees of an Italian company in the personnel training services sector, multivariate statistical analysis tests a pattern where organizational variables such as work support (by supervisors and coworkers, independent variables) -- moderated by corporate identification (moderating variable) -- and mediated by organizational trust (mediating variable) -- boosts employee work engagement and lowers psychosocial risks (dependent variables). Findings: The mediating effect of "organizational trust" is significant in the relationships of "supervisor social support" and "coworker social support" with the "absence of psychosocial risks." Moreover, an increase in supervisor social support can lead to a statistically significant increase in work engagement. This occurs only for employees with low or medium identification and not in highly identified individuals. Originality/value: The findings from the analysis on moderation are of primary importance because they show us a new perspective that can play the role of a guiding and practical principle on how to act on an organization's human resources, specifically targeting those with lower or medium corporate identification.

The rapid integration of digital technologies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic has transformed various aspects of professional life. In particular, the literature found teachers to be among the professional categories most affected by technostress. Because assessing technostress is still a priority for scholars and mental health professionals, this study aimed to adapt the technostrain subscale of the Cuestionario de Tecnoestrés [Technostress Questionnaire] (extracted from the RED/TIC questionnaire) among Italian teachers. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the 4-factor structure observed in the original version. Results revealed that high levels of technostrain are associated with increased burnout and negative emotions. On the other hand, positive emotions were negatively correlated with technostrain and burnout, indicating their potential protective role against the latter. These findings suggest that human resource management providing technological support may serve as crucial protective factors against burnout, emphasizing the need for sustained efforts in promoting teacher well-being. The COVID-19 pandemic drastically affected many areas and contexts of today's society, including school and family. Several studies focused on the worldwide effects of school closures on students' learning outcomes, context, and well-being. However, the data emerging from these studies are often inconsistent and fragmentary, highlighting the need of a comprehensive analysis of the phenomenon. This need is especially urgent for the countries with the most severe school closure, like Italy. This systematic review aims to collect the opinions of parents, teachers, and students on: other dimensions of Italian primary school students affected by school closures, beyond academic performance; hypothetical agreement between the opinions of parents, teachers, and students regarding the different effects of school closures on Italian primary school students; possible differences between the effects of school closures on Italian primary school students and the students in other countries. Our search was conducted using PRISMA 2020 guidelines on Web of Science, Pubmed, Scopus, and EBSCOHost. The results obtained from 34 articles revealed a strong concern on the part of all stakeholders involved in learning during the pandemic, with evident negative effects for Italian school students. The constraint on distance learning led to a drastic change in everyone's routine, and a negative emotional change on the part of young students. Parents and teachers generally considered distance learning to be ineffective for the education of their children and students; they encountered technical-practical difficulties in the use of electronic devices for participation in school activities; overall learning deficits on the part of students, especially in mathematics, as confirmed by INVALSI results were also found. The investigation reveals a condition of shared emotional and academic performance difficulty, and a further challenging circumstance for students previously at risk of marginalization. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the sudden switch from face-to-face learning to distance learning generated many critical issues in music institutes. Specifically, conservatories found themselves using a didactic methodology that had never been considered before to ensure the continuation of students' education. In particular, the adoption of distance learning has had a greater impact on those classes characterized by a significant practical–experiential component. This study aims to investigate the phenomenon of distance learning in Italian conservatories to explore how this experience affects students' performance through their satisfaction with distance learning. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 328 students of 41 Italian conservatories, using an online self-report questionnaire to investigate conservatory students' experience of distance learning and its impact on performance. To test the hypotheses, a mediation model was tested using SPSS version 26. The results show that the positive experience of distance learning has a positive impact on perceived performance and that satisfaction with distance learning, as a mediator role, further reinforces this relationship. This study is the first known one to explore the relationship between the experience of distance learning and student performance in the context of conservatories and music teaching. Scientific literature reports quite scarce attention to university employees' well-being. The majority of studies focus instead on students' well-being and learning. Moreover, several theoretical perspectives confirm that when talking about individual well-being, there is a need for a multidimensional and ecological definition. This study aims to explore how university clerks and scholars perceive and describe their personal, professional, and community well-being. Twenty-one university workers were interviewed using a narrative approach. The Grounded Theory Methodology was used to analyze the textual corpus with the support of Atlas 8.0 software. From the textual data, 195 representative codes were defined and grouped into seven categories that reflect the main dimensions related to well-being, considering both the work context and the community environment. Results suggest that well-being in this post-pandemic scenario is perceived by clerks and scholars as a dynamic and multidimensional phenomenon that is shaped by individuals' experiences and contexts. The implications of these findings for promoting well-being among clerks and university scholars are discussed with a specific focus on the potential role of academic institutions in fostering community well-being. Moving from a critical reflection on mix-method studies, the paper presents the Italian validation of the Nag Factor Questionnaire developed by Ogba and Johnson (2010); this is the first Italian empirical study on nag factor. Pester power or nag factor is the children ability, by nagging, to push their parents to purchase the products they desire. Nag factor has been studied for its severe consequences on children obesity, since a lot of times kids nag for junk food and within a socio-educative perspective for its influence on materialism. This pilot study is triangulated: it implies a survey, realized with the Pester Power Scale, along with diaries written for a week by 10 mothers. Results show that pester power is definitely power: it fully mediates the relationship between marketing forces directed to kids and consumer behaviour expressed by parents. Moreover, mothers seem not always aware of the nagging ability of their kids and several times they chose bad solutions to cope with infant tantrum, like submissiveness. The pervasiveness of technology is affecting also the education field, so it is possible to evaluate whether technology can foster collaboration among students or improve the learning outcomes. A community of practice online is the subject of the present study, it represents a kind of blended learning which is defined as the integration of classroom face-to-face learning with online learning experiences with the objective to increase students' engagement and motivation. A recent experience of blended learning education has been carried out by four Italian Universities and in the present research study we have implemented social network analysis technique in order to observe online interactions of students, thus describing the nodes that exert the most influence in the group and to evaluate if the online interactions can positively affect the learning process. As result we can state that the outcomes of social network analysis are valuable information for teachers and tutors in order to facilitate participation and collaboration, that in turn promote an effective learning process. In light of the recent work by Kim and colleagues about Social Network Service (SNS), examining the individual and SNS characteristics as predictors of SNS fatigue, we hypothesize to enlarge their model to the job context. SNS is a relevant issue in occupational life as employers use it to have a deeper knowledge of their employees and as a tool of corporate communication. Employees can use SNS as a social platform and as a way to express discontent. In this latter case, the organization can implement a disciplinary procedure toward employees, known as doocing. The perception of privacy violation is strictly related to the fear and awareness of doocing, which in turn can predict SNS fatigue as well. So, it could be worthwhile to extend Kim and colleagues' model to the workplace with particular attention to the doocing phenomenon. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Job performance has several predictors that are both individual and organizational. According to the existing literature, the learning climate meant as organizational dimension can boost a virtuous circle involving identity factors, proactivity and care for customers as well., Methods: It has been applied a quantitative methodology, 57 workers from the health department have filled in an ad hoc questionnaire. Learning climate, general health and job performance have been evaluated., Results: The tested mediation model is statistically significant, showing that the learning climate has both a direct effect on job performance and an indirect effect mediated by the general health., Conclusions: The small sample is the most relevant limit of the study, on the positive side the study takes into account all the dimensions of the learning climate and of the general health, while in the past the focus was just on single aspects of those variables.
