本稿はその継続課題として,学部「卒業研究」における造形表現研究の題材に人間の「視知覚」の特性を活用した事例をとりあげ,その実践内容及び成果について報告する., “Kosei(Science of Art and Design)” is the studyof general modeling.“ Kosei” research targets basicmodeling elements such as color, form and material, and their operational applicability to formulate basicmodeling principles. “Kosei” research has expanded its traditionalscope into modeling possibilities. In addition to thetraditional “Kosei” approach, newer researchtechniques examine properties inherent in theobject as well. The expanded approach, incorporatingboth manifest, as well as inherent, object propertiesand their possible application have openeddevelopment of new modeling possibilities andhas stimulated the development new approachesto the traditional “Kosei” discipline. We call thisdevelopment“ Representation Knowledge”. As I have previously written, the fundamentalsof modeling expression are ripe areas for research. With these promising new developments, “Kosei”is now positioned to become a major area of studyin Arts, Design and Crafts Teacher TrainingEducation theory, not to mention its potential usesin practical applications in Arts, Design and Craftsclassrooms. In the last article I focused on the connectionbetween “Expression Knowledge” and “DesignProcess”, and confirmed the validity of its discoveryprocess as a practical education resource whenintroducing the “Kosei” method into activeeducational pedagogy for art teacher trainingeducation. As I continue my research andrefine my approach, this article reports onboth the practical application of this approachand the results I observed in the classroom. Ihave reported several case studies that use thecharacteristics of“ Visual Perception” for modelingexpression research.
