Purpose: This study purpose was to determine the thoughts, feelings and behaviours of young women who familial cancer history. Material and Methods: This was a qualitative study. The criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used to determine the study group of the study. The study was conducted at a state university in Turkey. Between April and May 2019, 12 volunteer young women aged 17-24 were included in the study. Results: The qualitative data were subjected to content analysis, and the main themes were determined. In the content analysis of the interviews, 7 main themes were determined: fear, coping methods, risk perception, carcinophobia, spirituality, healthy lifestyle behaviors, role change. It was observed that the participants frequently used statements that genetic predisposition and stress are risk factors for cancer, cancer negatively affects roles and responsibilities, and they believed the importance of early diagnosis. In this study, young women with a family history of breast and/or gynecological cancer were found to have higher cancer risk perceptions. Conclusion: The familial cancer history, especially when managed well in high-risk populations, contributes to individuals to acquire healthy lifestyle behaviors and gain the ability to make conscious decisions. Healthcare professionals can play vital roles in presenting needed knowledge about breast / gynecological cancers and raising awareness in women.

Amaç: Bu çalışma travay odasındaki gebe sayısının doğumdaki destek ve kontrol algısına, doğum korkusuna ve anne memnuniyetine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla planlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı araştırma tipinde bir çalışmadır. Çalışma Türkiye’de iki devlet hastanesinin doğum sonu servisinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya toplam 686 kadın dahil edilmiştir. Veriler SPSS 23.0 programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Yanılma düzeyi 0,05 olarak alınmıştır. Material and method: This study is a descriptive research study. The study was carried out at the postnatal care clinics of two public hospital in Turkey. Objective: Breastfeeding self-efficacy is an easy-to-evaluate and easy-to-change variable. The prenatal period is an ideal time period for women to gain breastfeeding self-efficacy. Valid and reliable measurement tools are needed to assess breastfeeding self-efficacy. The purpose of this study is to examine psychometric analyzes of Turkish form of the Prenatal Rating of Efficacy in Preparation to Breastfeed Scale.Methods: This is a methodological study. The study was conducted obstetrics and outpatient clinics in the a state hospitals at the Turkey. The study was administered to 407 pregnant women. The relevant data were collected through the use of a Personal Information Form, The Prenatal Rating Of Effıcacy in Preparatıon To Breastfeed Scale. Internal consistency coefficient, split-half reliability and item analysis to assess the reliability of the scale, factor analysis was performed to evaluate the validity of the scale.Results: Cronbach Alpha coefficient of scale was 0.96. A 5-factor structure with eigenvalues above 1 that explained 71.267% of the variance emerged. The model fitted the observed data in terms of these fit index values, and that the Turkish version of the scale demonstrated an acceptable level of fit.Conclusion: The scale can be employed by healthcare professionals to assess prenatal breastfeeding self-efficacy. It can contribute data for the structuring of the content of training and consultancy programs intending to improve breastfeeding self-efficacy.

Objective: Thepurpose of this study is to examine the psychometric properties of Turkish formof The Carol Postpartum Sexual Function And Dyspareunia Assessment Scale(Carol's Scale) that was developed by López-Lapeyrere et al. Methods: Thelanguage and content validity of the scale is provided. The study was conductedon 112 women reinitiated sexual activity with vaginal intercourse during thefirst three months postpartum. The data was transferred to the computer environmentvia LISREL 8.54 and SPSS 22.0 package programs. Internal consistencycoefficient, test-tekrar test coefficient item analysis to assess thereliability of the scale, content validity and construct validity for validityof the scale.Results: CronbachAlpha coefficient was found 0.84. There is no significant difference betweenthe test-retest mean in all three factors (p>0.05). Three factors consistingof 11 items, explaining 63.479% of total variability and whose eigen value isover 1 were obtained in factor analysis done with varimax rotation forconstruct validity. Factorial model of scales were found theoretically andstatistically perfect fit after confirmatory factor analysis. Conclusion:Carol's Scale is valid and reliable for measuring sexual function andpostpartum dyspareunia on Turkish women., ÖZET Amaç:Araştırma, López-Lapeyrere ve arkadaşları tarafından geliştirilen CarolPostpartum Cinsel Fonksiyon ve Disparoni Değerlendirme Ölçeği’nin (CarolÖlçeği) Türkçe geçerlik ve güvenirliğinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem:Dil ve içerik geçerliliği sağlanan ölçek formu, postpartum ilk üç ayvajinal ilişki yoluyla cinsel aktiviteye yeniden başlayan 112 kadınauygulanmıştır. Veriler, LİSREL 8.54 ve SPSS 22.0 paket programları aracılığı analizedilmiştir. Ölçeğin güvenirliği, Cronbach Alfa güvenirlik katsayısı,test-tekrar test yöntemi ve madde analizi ile geçerliliği ise açıklayıcı vedoğrulayıcı faktör analizi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular:Ölçeğin toplam Cronbach alfa katsayısı 0.84'dür. Her üç alt boyuttatest - tekrar test ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak fark yoktur(p>0.05). Açıklayıcı faktör analizi ile eigen değeri 1’i aşan, toplamdeğişkenliğin %63.479'unu açıklayan, faktör yükü 0.34-0.65 arasında değişen 3faktörlü bir yapı elde edilmiştir. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile ölçeğinkuramsal ve istatistiksel olarak mükemmel uyum gösterdiği bulunmuştur. Sonuç:Yapılan analizler, Carol Ölçeği'nin vajinal doğum yapan Türk kadınlararasında cinsel fonksiyon ve postpartum disparoni değerlendirmesindekullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı olduğunu göstermektedir. ÖzGiriş: Doğum sonu dönem, kadınlar için annelik rolüne uygun davranma çabalarının arttığı, yeni rolü ilişkin korku/ kaygıların yaşandığı ve özgüven problemlerinin ortaya çıktığı bir zaman dilimidir. Bu dönemde kadınların, ebeleri/ hemşirelerin rehberliğine ve danışmanlığına gereksinimi vardır. Amaç: Bu çalışma, primipar kadınların annelik rollerine hazıroluşluk durumlarını ve özgüven düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.Yöntem: Araştırmanın evrenini, Kasım 2013-Mart 2014 tarihleri arasında bir devlet hastanesinin postpartum kliniklerinde yatan kadınlar oluşturmuştur. Örnekleme, araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 184 primipar kadın alınmıştır. Veriler, Annelik Rolüne Hazıroluşluk Değerlendirme Formu ve Pharis Özgüven Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, tanımlayıcı ve karşılaştırmalı istatistiksel analizler kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmamıza katılan kadınların yaş ortalamaları 26,8+5,4’dür. It is important to follow the pregnant at home in terms of protecting the health of the pregnant and the fetus in health risk group, ensuring compliance during pregnancy, preventing the risk status of the pregnant and effectiveness of care provided. The only used/most important criterion in the evaluation of the services provided for the pregnant at home is patient satisfaction. Thus, satisfaction of the pregnant with the service received at home can contribute to the professional development of health care workers and to eliminate shortcomings in the organization of health services. The satisfaction level of the pregnant visited at home was evaluated. Cross-sectional descriptive study was made in the process of home visits of field applications of midwifery students in 2012-13 and 2013-14 academic years. The scope consists of randomly selected 30 different neighborhoods and the sample consists of 203 pregnant who were visited at home and matching the criteria for survey. A total of 101 students planned to visit at least two pregnant. In the last visit, questions that contain the descriptive characteristics of the pregnant were completed by students and questions regarding their level of satisfaction from home visits were completed by the pregnant. Data was analyzed with SPSS 14.0 software packages and the criteria of descriptive statistics were used in the statistical evaluation. The average age of the pregnant is 27.0±5.5 years. The average gestational age of the pregnant is 27.7±8.3 and it was found that 66.3% are multigravida, 83,7% experienced a desired pregnancy and 72.9% had a healthy pregnancy. 89,7% of pregnant stated that she received prenatal care regularly while the average number of control was found to be 7.0±3.9. Almost all the pregnant (94.6%-100%) are satisfied with the home visits and stated that they would also recommend receiving home visits to other pregnant. Home care is important in terms of the follow-up of pregnant primarily in the form of home visits and to evaluate the satisfaction of the pregnant at regular intervals., Sağlık açısından risk grubunda olan gebe ve fetüsün sağlığını korumada, gebenin gebelik sürecine uyumunu sağlamada, riskli durumları önlemede ve verilen bakımın etkinliğinde gebelerin evlerinde izlenmesi önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, gebelerin ev ziyaretinden memnuniyetlerini değerlendirmektir. Kesitsel tanımlayıcı olarak yapılan çalışma, 2012-13 ve 2013-14 eğitim-öğretim dönemlerinde ebelik bölümü öğrencilerinin saha uygulamasında ev ziyaretleri sürecinde yapılmıştır. Evreni basit rastgele yöntemle seçilmiş 30 mahallede yaşayan gebeler, örneklemi araştırma kriterlerini karşılayan öğrencilerin ev ziyareti yaptığı 203 gebe oluşturmuştur. Toplam 101 öğrenci en az 2 gebeye planlı ziyaret yapmıştır. Son ziyarette gebelerin tanıtıcı özelliklerini içeren sorular öğrenci, ev ziyaretinden memnuniyet düzeylerini belirleyen sorular gebe tarafından doldurulmuştur. Veriler SPSS 14,0 bilgisayar paket programı ile değerlendirilmiş, istatistiki değerlendirmelerde tanımlayıcı istatistik ölçütleri kullanılmıştır. Gebelerin yaş ortalaması 27,0±5,5’dir. Gebelerin ortalama gebelik haftası 27,7±8,3 olup (min-max:8-40), %66,3’ünün multigravida, %83,7’sinin istenen ve %72,9’unun da sağlıklı bir gebelik yaşadığı saptanmıştır. Gebelerin %89,7’si düzenli prenatal bakım aldığını belirtmiş, ortalama kontrol sayısı 7,0±3,9 olarak bulunmuştur. Gebelerin tamamına yakını (%94,6-%100) yapılan ev ziyaretinden memnun olduğunu ve ev ziyaretlerini başka gebelere de önereceğini belirtmiştir. Gebelerin öğrenciler tarafından yapılan ev ziyaretinden memnun olduğu ve ev ziyaretlerini başka gebelere de önereceği belirlenmiştir. Evde bakım, bağımsız bir uygulama olduğundan gebe izlemlerinin öncelikli ev ziyareti şeklinde yapılması ve gebelerin memnuniyetinin düzenli aralıklarla değerlendirilmesi önemlidir.
