Introduction and objectives: Childhood offers an excellent window of opportunity to start interventions to promote behavioral changes before unhealthy lifestyles become established, leading to cardiovascular diseases. The goal of this pilot educational project for children is the promotion of healthy lifestyles and cardiovascular health. Methods: This project was implemented in 4th grade children and included teacher-led classroom activities, a lesson given by a cardiologist and a practical lesson with dietitians. The teacher received a manual containing information on the topics to be discussed in class with the pupils and the children received a book that addresses cardiovascular risk factors and prevention. The components included were diet (D), physical activity (PA) and human body and heart awareness (BH). At the beginning and at the end of the schoolyear, a questionnaire was applied to the children to assess knowledge (K), attitudes (A) and habits (H) on these topics. Results: A total of 73 children from two schools from an urban district public school in Lisbon, in a low to medium income area, participated in the project. Following the intervention, there was a 9.5% increase in the overall KAH score, mainly driven by the PA component (14.5%) followed by the BH component (12.3%). No improvement was observed for component D. The benefits were also more significant in children from a lower income area, suggesting that socioeconomic status is a determinant in the response obtained. Conclusions: An educational project for cardiovascular health can be implemented successfully in children aged 9 years, but longer and larger studies are necessary.

WEBSITES , *GOVERNMENT policy , *SEARCH engines , *SOCIOECONOMIC factors , *SOCIAL interaction , *FOOD preferences , *SOCIAL space - Abstract
Objective: Identify and describe the variables and tools used in the investigations of lifestyles in Mexico about food. Methodology: A systematic literature review was carried out. The search for documents was carried out on the Internet on Clarivate's Web of Science platform, with the words "lifestyle", "food", "Mexico or Mexican" and "habitus", with an age of ten years. Results: Three variables identified in the conceptualization of lifestyles considered: 1) characteristics of the individuals, tastes, and preferences; 2) social interactions; and 3) socioeconomic aspects, however, the aspects of social space and its interactions have been neglected. The investigations have mainly focused on issues such as obesity and diabetes, focusing in 2020 on dietary modifications from the Covid-19 alert. Limitations: Not having expanded the selection of documents using other search engines and using search terms in English. Conclusions: The analysis of lifestyles requires a holistic vision where the three variables presented allow making more accurate decisions on public policy, in this sense, delving into the social space and its interactions becomes necessary. This article constructs a comprehensive new model of the contemporary class structure of Germany. More specifically, inspired by Pierre Bourdieu's geometric conception of class relations and drawing on original survey data, it adopts multiple correspondence analysis paired with cluster analysis to chart the German 'social space', that is, the relational configuration of key forms of capital. It then explores correspondences with occupational groups, ethnic groups, other demographic features, lifestyle practices and tastes. The results disclose specific structuring effects of German peculiarities on the distribution of social power, including East–West reunification and the long-running guestworker programme. More fundamentally, though, in its basic structure, the space resembles that mapped by Bourdieu in France and those documented by others elsewhere, suggesting common principles of social and symbolic differentiation among Western capitalist societies.

Aligned with studies on lifestyles and cultural distinction, in this text I analyze variations in cultural practices and tastes among women and men within the student population of the State University of Campinas. To do so, I use data from a survey on social stratification and lifestyles among the student population, carried out by applying questionnaires (sample of 548 students) and conducting in-depth interviews (22 students from different social backgrounds). Analyzing with a gender perspective data from three cultural domains (uses of time, musical preferences and literary preferences), I show that women present a pattern of practices and tastes that are homologous between the different domains, marked by the variety of practices, interests and tastes, while men have a lifestyle marked by a lower load of activities and aesthetic homogeneity. To explain these patterns, I offer three hypotheses based on the literature on cultural practices and gender inequalities. The first is that there is a gender bias in the accumulation of cultural capital, imposing greater work on women students so that they can reach the same positions as men. The second is that it is a cultural omnivorism oriented towards building a sense of belonging and accumulating social capital. The third is that there is a greater openness to the re-signification of female identity from the mobilization of diverse lifestyles in comparison with a more homogeneous lifestyle that marks the male identity [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

(95 % IC: 1.37-5.80), o mayores de 80 años OR: 7.68 (95 % IC: 3.49- 16.90) y con sufrir HTA OR: 1.45 (95 % IC: 1.03-2.05).

Commentaries on lived experiences of COVID-19-induced 'lockdown' have simultaneously directed public imaginations backwards to draw inspiration and fortitude from historical periods of national and global challenge, and forwards into futures characterised by greater environmental sensitivity and community resilience. In this article, we argue that individuals' and households' practical coping strategies from different phases of lockdown within the UK offer clues as to how adaptive embodiments of close connection – to nature and community – both inform contemporary practices of everyday resilience and signpost towards enablers of a more socially compassionate and environmentally sustainable future. Our novel approach to conceptualising post-COVID recovery draws on 'back-casting' – an approach which envisages pathways towards alternative, 'better' futures – to work back from the notion of sustainable lifestyles, through participants' narratives of coping in/with lockdown, to the forms of adaptation that provided solace and encouragement. We highlight how these embodied and emotional adaptations constitute a form of nascent 'neo-nostalgia' capable of reaching beyond the enabling of coping mechanisms in the present to inform long-lasting capacity for individual and community resilience in the face of future socio-environmental crises.
