RESUMO A captação e processamento de imagens em movimento a partir de negativos coloridos no Brasil se desenvolve de forma expressiva no final dos anos 1960. Na ocasião, o cinema brasileiro moderno assiste a um embate entre cinemanovistas e diretores associados ao experimental. O confronto ganha um contorno peculiar no que diz respeito ao emprego da cor. Este trabalho pretende discutir algumas dimensões deste debate, tomando como base um corpo de filmes e cineastas aptos a externalizar uma proposta alinhada à arte tropicalista. Conclui-se que a cor poderá representar uma pauta complexa atrelada à ideia de industrialização. ABSTRACT The capture and processing of moving images from color negatives in Brazil is significantly developed in the late 1960s. At the time, modern Brazilian cinema witnessed a clash between cinemanovistas and experimental filmmakers. The confrontation takes on a peculiar contour regarding the use of color. This work intends to discuss some dimensions of this debate, based on a body of films and directors able to externalize a proposal aligned with tropicalist art. It is concluded that color may represent a complex agenda linked to the idea of industrialization. En ese momento, el cine brasileño moderno fue testigo de un choque entre cinenovistas y directores vinculados a la experimentación. El enfrentamiento adquiere un carácter peculiar con el uso del color. Este trabajo pretende discutir las dimensiones de este debate a partir de un cuerpo de películas y directores capaces de exteriorizar una propuesta alineada con el arte tropicalista. Se concluye que el color puede representar una agenda compleja ligada a la idea de industrialización.

Motivado por la amplia politización que insurge con folego en los últimos años de la década de 1960, el cine intenta un giro institucional proclamando una nueva vanguardia. En Francia se hablará en desconstruirlo, adecuándolo a un debate en sintonía con el estructuralismo. Este artículo pretende explorar el cine producido a partir de 68 en sus conversaciones teórico-prácticas con la deconstrucción estructuralista y sus variantes, tomando como referencia el trabajo de Jean-Luc Godard. La propuesta tiene como objetivo la expansión del análisis intentando señalar una diversificación conceptual en Brasil en el llamado cine marginal. Motivado pela ampla politização que insurge com fôlego nos últimos anos da década de 1960, o cinema ensaia uma virada institucional, proclamando uma nova vanguarda. Na França se falará em desconstruí-lo, adequando-o a um debate sintonizado ao estruturalismo. Driven by the widespread politicization that took over the late 60’s, cinema rehearses an institutional turn, proclaiming a new avant-garde. In France, this turn revolves around the deconstruction of the media, adapted to a debate in tune with structuralism ideas. This article intends to explore the cinema produced around 68 in its practical-theoretical conversations with structuralist deconstruction and some of its variations, focusing on Jean-Luc Godard’s work as a reference. The proposal aims to expand the analysis by pointing to a conceptual diversification on Brazilian so-called marginal cinema.

This paper presents the challenges towards the musealization of cultural expressions registered as intangible heritage in Brazil, based on the experience of frevo, in Recife -PE. Particularly, the work points out the discomfort generated howthe flags -considered sacred objects by some carnival groups -were displayed in a museum dedicated to frevo, generating permanent questions, tensions, disputes, and demanding new perspectives and negotiations. With this, the text highlights the difficulties inherent in the construction of museological narratives on cultural expressions very meaningfulfor the “other”., Neste artigo discuto sobre os desafios em torno da musealização de bens registrados como patrimônio imaterial no Brasil, a partir da experiência do frevo, no Recife - PE. De modo particular, discuto sobre o mal-estar gerado pela forma que os estandartes - considerados objetos sagrados para algumas agremiações carnavalescas – foram exibidos em um museu dedicado ao frevo, gerando permanentes questionamentos, tensionamentos, disputas, e exigindo novos olhares e negociações. Com isso, chamo atenção para as dificuldades inerentes à construção de narrativas museológicas em torno de bens culturais repletos de sentidos para o “outro”.

Objective To check if shoulders with acetabularization have better functional results in cases of rotator cuff arthropathy. Methods A clinical and radiological cross-sectional evaluation of 65 shoulders with rotator cuff arthropathy by measuring the range of motion (RoM) of the shoulder, the Constant-Murley score, and the radiological classifications of Hamada and Seebauer. The clinical findings were compared with the radiographic findings. Results According to the classification of Seebauer, we observed better results regarding the RoM in type-A shoulders. There was a statistically significant difference regarding anterior elevation and medial rotation between types A and B (p< 0.05). Lateral rotation did not show a statistically significant difference between types A and B. The Constant-Murley score presented better results in type A, and there was a statistically significant difference between groups A and B (p< 0.05). According to the classification of Hamada, we observed that the RoM had better results in types 3, 2 and 1, and there was a statistically significant difference regarding anterior elevation and medial rotation (p< 0.05) compared with groups 4A, 4B and 5. There was no statistically significant difference between the Hamada groups regarding lateral rotation. According to Hamada, the Constant-Murley score showed better results in types 3, 1 and 2, and there was a statistically significant difference between groups 3 and 5. Conclusion The RoM and shoulder function were better in patients with acetabularization (Seebauer 1A and Hamada 3), and worse in those with glenohumeral arthrosis (Seebauer 1B, 2B and Hamada 4A, 4B and 5). Resumo Objetivo Verificar se os ombros com acetabularização têm melhores resultados funcionais nos casos de artropatia do manguito rotador. Métodos Avaliação transversal clínica e radiológica de 65 ombros com artropatia do manguito rotador por meio da mensuração da amplitude de movimento (ADM) do ombro, do escore de Constant-Murley, e das classificações radiológicas de Hamada e Seebauer. Os achados clínicos foram comparados com os radiográficos. Resultados Segundo a classificação de Seebauer, com relação à ADM, observamos melhores resultados nos tipos A. Houve diferença estatística significativa na elevação anterior, e rotação medial entre os tipos A e B (p< 0.05). A rotação lateral não demonstrou diferença estatística significativa entre os tipos A e B. O escore de Constant-Murley apresentou melhores resultados nos tipos A, e houve diferença estatística significativa entre os grupos A e B (p< 0,05). Segundo a classificação de Hamada, observamos que a ADM teve melhores resultados nos tipos 3, 2 e 1, e houve diferença estatística significativa para a elevação anterior e a rotação medial (p< 0,05) quando comparadas com os grupos 4A, 4B e 5. Não houve diferença estatística significativa entre os grupos de Hamada em relação à rotação lateral. Ainda segundo Hamada, o escore de Constant-Murley apresentou melhores resultados nos tipos 3, 1 e 2, e houve diferença estatística significativa entre os grupos 3 e 5. Conclusão A ADM e a função do ombro apresentavam-se melhores nos pacientes com acetabularização (Seebauer 1A e Hamada 3), e piores naqueles com artrose glenoumeral (Seebauer 1B, 2B e Hamada 4A, 4B e 5).

Este aumento significativo de dados todos os anos trás a necessidade de assegurar a proteção de informação sensível. A Inteligência Artificial tem vindo a melhorar cada vez mais os seus resultados, apresentando modelos capazes de responder rigorosamente em áreas de atuação críticas, por exemplo, medicina, veículos autónomos, robótica, etc. Estes algoritmos precisam de enormes quantidades de dados disponíveis para otimizarem ao máximo a sua resposta perante todos a sua área de operação.Surgiu a necessidade de continuar a melhorar estes algoritmos mantendo a privacidade e confidencialidade dos dados utilizados.Desta forma, foi criado o conceito de Federated Learning. O Federated Learning permite continuar a treinar algoritmos de Machine Learning sem partilhar os dados utilizados para a convergência do modelo. O Federated Learning apresenta apresenta algumas similaridades com o Distributed Learning. Em ambos os conceitos o treino é distribuido, no entanto o Federated Learning descentraliza também os dados de forma a manter a informação privada.O objetivo desta dissertação passa por explorar o conceito de Federated Learning, assim como comparar diretamente este conceito com o Machine Learning centralizado. Para tal, é mostrada a arquitetura necessária para a construção de uma solução federada. Este documento apresenta ainda resultados obtidos com soluções federadas tanto em ambiente de simulação como numa implementação em ambiente real. Finalmente, é também apresentado um ponto de vista dos resultados obtidos e opções de otimização de uma solução com Federated Learning são discutidas. The data generated annually is around 40 trillion gigabytes. This significant increase in data every year brings with it the need to ensure the protection of sensitive information. Artificial Intelligence has been improving its results more and more, presenting models capable of responding rigorously in critical areas, for example medicine, autonomous vehicles, robotics, etc. These algorithms need huge amounts of available data to optimize their response to all their area of operation.The urge to continue to improve these algorithms while maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of the data used emerged.Thus, the concept of Federated Learning was created. Federated Learning allows to continue training Machine Learning algorithms without sharing the data used for model convergence. Federated Learning has some similarities with Distributed Learning. In both concepts the training is distributed, however, Federated Learning also decentralizes the data in order to keep the information private.The objective of this dissertation is to explore the concept of Federated Learning, as well as to directly compare this concept with centralized Machine Learning. To this end, the architecture required to build a federated solution is analyzed in depth. This dissertation also presents results obtained with federated solutions in both simulation and real-world deployment. Finally, a viewpoint of the obtained results is also presented, and options for optimizing a solution with Federated Learning are discussed.

This article aims to investigate the initial films of the Medvedkine groups, created in Besançon and Sochaux during the late 1960’s and composed by factory workers. The proletarian world view concept, brought by philosopher Herbert Marcuse in Counterrevolution and revolt, is taken as a parameter in this analisis. The films targeted in this study are: Classe de lutte (1969) and Week-end à Sochaux (1972). Regarding these titles, one wishes to analyze the convergences and discrepances between this initial filmography and the avant-garde standards, divided between social protagonism and aesthetic denial, in order to sculpt a comparative view among theory and practice over a filmmaker craft played by the proletarian. One comes to a conclusion that there are disagreements between the object of this review and an avant-garde cinema wich is elaborated during that period., O presente artigo investiga a safra inicial de filmes dos grupos Medvedkine, criados em Besançon e Sochaux nos entornos de 1968 e composto por operários. A análise toma como parâmetro o emprego de uma mundivisão proletária, tal como trazida pelo filósofo Herbert Marcuse em Contra-revolução e revolta (1973). Os filmes contemplados nesta revisão são Classe de lutte (1969) e Week-end à Sochaux (1972), correspondentes à safra inicial de obras produzidas pelos grupos. Na análise pretende-se abordar as convergências e discrepâncias entre a obra em questão e os preceitos vanguardistas, divididos entre protagonismo social e negação estética, de forma a delinear um quadro comparativo entre teoria e prática no ofício de cineasta desempenhado pelo proletário. Chega-se à conclusão de que há divergências entre o objeto aqui analisado e um projeto de cinema vanguardista elaborado no período.

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major health problem within the Community of Portuguese Language Speaking Countries (CPLP). Despite the marked variation in TB incidence across its member-states and continued human migratory flux between countries, a considerable gap in the knowledge on the Mycobacterium tuberculosis population structure and strain circulation between the countries still exists. Materials and Methods: To address this, we have assembled and analyzed the largest CPLP M. tuberculosis molecular and drug susceptibility dataset, comprised by a total of 1447 clinical isolates, including 423 multidrug-resistant isolates, from five CPLP countries. Genotyping analysis was carried out by 15/24 Mycobacterial Interspersed Repetitive Unit – Variable Number of Tandem Repeat (MIRU-VNTR) and Spoligotyping. Drug Susceptibility testing was performed using standardized BACTEC 960 MGIT methodology or through the resazurin microtiter assay (REMA). Results: The data herein presented reinforces Latin American and Mediterranean (LAM) strains as the hallmark of M. tuberculosis populational structure in the CPLP coupled with country-specific differential prevalence of minor clades. Moreover, using high-resolution typing by 24-loci MIRU-VNTR, six cross-border genetic clusters were detected, thus supporting recent clonal expansion across the Lusophone space. To make this data available to the scientific community and public health authorities we developed CPLP-TB (available at http://cplp-tb.ff.ulisboa.pt), an online database coupled with web-based tools for exploratory data analysis. Conclusions: As a public health tool, CPLP-TB is expected to contribute to improved knowledge on the M. tuberculosis population structure and strain circulation within the CPLP, thus supporting risk assessment of strain-specific trends. Being an olefinic polymer, it presents a great tendency to degradation when exposed to oxidizing atmospheres, ultraviolet light (UV) and by thermal effects, for example, due to successive processing in a recycling application. During its processing it is common to use antioxidants to ensure the quality and applicability of the material throughout its life cycle. Synthetic substances are commonly used to promote the antioxidant effect in polymers, which can have a very high toxicity level and bring environmental impact, and in some cases the use of these additives by legislation is not advisable. From this scenario, we sought to study the effects of vegetable oils of grape seed, Brazil nuts and castor bean oil added to a recycled polypropylene, having as main focus their antioxidant properties. In addition, other properties of interest were analyzed for example, flow index, viscosity, tensile strength, young modulus and its properties as plasticizing agent. In order to investigate the thermal stability of polypropylene containing vegetable oils, thermal analysis techniques such as differential scanning calorimetric (DSC), thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) and attenuated total reflectance (ATR) technique were used, where the polymer was mixed with and processed consecutively in an extruder eight (8) times to simulate a condition of thermo-oxidative degradation. To verify thermal stability, kinetic models of degradation and crystallization described in the literature and different heating rates were applied in order to determine and compare the activation energies involved in the processes. The results of the thermal analysis and the activation energies obtained for the thermo-oxidative degradation process allow us to conclude that grape oils, Brazil nuts and to a lesser degree castor bean oil, have played a role of potential antioxidant agents for polypropylene. It can be inferred that the vegetable oils used in this dissertation present favorable characteristics for the substitution of synthetic commercial phenolic or amine antioxidants used in industry. O polipropileno é um dos polímeros de commodities mais utilizados no mundo, devido as suas propriedades de interesse como, por exemplo, facilidade de processamento, flexibilidade, dureza, propriedade de barreira e boa resistência química. Por ser um polímero olefínico, apresenta uma grande tendência a degradação quando exposto a atmosferas oxidantes, luz ultravioleta (UV) e por efeitos térmicos, como por exemplo, devido a sucessivos processamentos numa aplicação em reciclagem. Durante o seu beneficiamento é comum que se utilize substâncias antioxidantes para garantir a qualidade e aplicabilidade do material ao longo de seu ciclo de vida. Comumente se utilizam substâncias sintéticas para promover o efeito antioxidante nos polímeros, que podem apresentar um nível de toxidade muito alto e trazer impacto ambiental, sendo em alguns casos desaconselhável a utilização destes aditivos por força da legislação. Diante deste fato, buscou-se estudar os efeitos dos óleos de origem vegetal de uva, castanha do Brasil e de mamona adicionados a um polipropileno reciclado, tendo como foco principal suas propriedades antioxidantes. Além disso, foram analisadas outras propriedades de interesse como por exemplo, índice de fluidez, viscosidade, limite de resistência à tração, módulo de elasticidade e suas propriedades como agente plastificante. Para as investigações da estabilidade térmica do polipropileno contendo os óleos vegetais, foram utilizadas as técnicas de análise térmica como calorimetria exploratória diferencial (DSC), análise termogravimétrica (TGA) e a técnica de refletância total atenuada (ATR), onde o polímero foi misturado aos óleos e processado consecutivamente numa extrusora monorosca por 8 (oito) vezes, para simular uma condição de degradação termo-oxidativa. Para verificação da estabilidade térmica foram feitas análises de modelos cinéticos de degradação e cristalização descritos na literatura, aplicando-se diferentes taxas de aquecimento a fim de se determinar e comparar as energias de ativação envolvidas nos processos. Os resultados das análises térmicas e das energias de ativação obtidas para o processo de degradação termo-oxidativa, permitem concluir que os óleos de uva, castanha do Brasil e em menor grau o de mamona, desenvolveram um papel de potenciais agentes antioxidantes para o polipropileno. Podemos inferir desta forma, que os óleos vegetais utilizados nesta dissertação apresentam características favoráveis para substituição dos antioxidantes comerciais sintéticos do tipo fenólico ou amina, utilizados na indústria.

Rifampicin is one of the most important chemotherapeutic agents used in the treatment of tuberculosis. M. tuberculosis clinical strains resistant to rifampicin harbor mainly mutation in an 81-base pair region of rpoB. These mutations mainly consist of single amino acid substitutions. However insertions also can be related with rifampicin resistance strains. Herein, we described an insertion of 12 nucleotides in clinical isolates of M. tuberculosis resistant to rifampicin, all obtained from inmates. To evaluate the importance this insertion in surviving and drug resistance, it were carried out fitness experimental assays as well as in silico studies of 3D structural models, molecular docking simulations and virtual screening. The medical records of the seven patients showed all were previously treated to tuberculosis. Growth curves shown that the insertion determines a biological cost when compared to wild type rpoB and katG; or the double mutated rpoB S531L and katG S315T. From docking and molecular dynamics simulations it can be inferred that the insertion does not affect the process of synthesis of RNA transcripts. On the other hand, in the mutant RNAP-RIF complex rifampicin confirmed a low affinity interaction for the mutant form. Interesting, virtual screening for potential inhibitors for wtRNAP and mRNAP using a library of 1446 compounds approved by the FDA showed that the best ligands were mainly compounds with antibiotic activity, although the targets involved in the pharmacological action are other than RNAP. In conclusion, seven strains of M. tuberculosis RIF resistant that present an insertion of four amino acids in RNA polymerase showed by growth curve assays, a biological cost. Further, bioinformatics tools had characterized the putative drug resistance dynamic as well as the maintenance of RNA polymerase activity.

Os pátios de aeronaves são usualmente descritos como locais perigosos nos quais pessoas, aeronaves, veículos e equipamentos interagem em um ambiente normalmente congestionado e sob grande pressão. Os custos globais decorrentes de ocorrências nos pátios de aeronaves são estimados em mais de US$ 4 bilhões anuais para os transportadores aéreos. Apesar de se observar um aumento da preocupação da indústria e da academia com as operações das aeronaves em solo, a maior atenção ainda é dedicada às operações na área de manobras. Este trabalho se propõe a contribuir para o aprimoramento da segurança de processos nas operações do pátio de aeronaves por meio da proposição de um sistema de indicadores de desempenho da segurança. A avaliação da segurança é um desafio em muitas indústrias e um componente fundamental para o bom funcionamento de um sistema de gerenciamento da segurança operacional. O primeiro passo para a proposição dos indicadores foi a identificação daquilo que deveria ser objeto de medição. Para isso, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com especialistas e uma revisão sistemática da literatura, a fim de identificar os elementos que influenciam o risco nas operações de pátio. Em seguida, a relação entre esses elementos foi detalhadamente analisada por meio da análise Bow tie. Um total de 62 elementos foram identificados e submetidos à avaliação de profissionais da aviação civil por meio de um questionário eletrônico. Com base no resultado da avaliação foi realizada uma análise de agrupamentos (cluster analysis) por meio da qual os elementos foram divididos em quatro grupos de prioridade distintos. Indicadores foram propostos para os onze elementos integrantes do grupo de maior prioridade. Os indicadores propostos foram avaliados com base em requisitos identificados na literatura. A análise dos dados do questionário possibilitou ainda identificar que os elementos associados a indicadores reativos tendem a ser considerados mais importantes para o monitoramento da segurança. Identificou-se ainda uma diferença significativa na opinião dos representantes do órgão regulador e da indústria em relação a determinado grupo de elementos. Airport aprons are usually described as hazardous locations in which humans, aircrafts, vehicles and ground support equipment interact in a congested and pressured environment. The annual worldwide costs arising from ground accidents and incidents are estimated at more than $ 4 billion for air carriers. Although industry and academia have shown increased concern to on-ground risks, the greatest attention is still devoted to operations in the maneuvering area. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the improvement of process safety in ramp operations through the proposal of a set of safety performance indicators. Safety assessment is a challenge in many industries and an essential component of for the proper functioning of a safety management system. The initial step in the development of the indicators was the identification of the key issues of concern. In order to identify the elements that influence the risk in ramp operations, semistructured interviews with specialists and a systematic literature review were conducted. Then, the relationship between these elements was reviewed in detail using the Bow tie analysis. A total of 62 elements have been identified and submitted to the assessment of civil aviation professionals through an electronic questionnaire. Based on the results of the evaluation, a cluster analysis was carried out through which the elements were divided into four distinct priority groups. Indicators were proposed for the eleven elements of the highest priority group. The proposed indicators were then evaluated based on requirements identified in the literature. The analysis of the questionnaire data also made it possible to identify that elements associated with reactive indicators tend to be considered more important for safety performance monitoring. Facepe O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender as atuais relações dos maracatus de baque solto com o Estado. Observa-se que, se por um lado houve uma crescente ampliação em termos de investimento e institucionalização de órgãos, legislações, programas e ações voltadas para as culturas populares, por outro, há uma dificuldade significativa por parte de alguns representantes deste “segmento da cultura” em ter acesso às políticas culturais que passaram a lhes ser destinadas. Buscando se adequar aos chamados “preceitos republicanos” de isonomia, democracia e transparência na aplicação dos recursos públicos, o poder público em suas diferentes esferas passou a instituir uma série de mecanismos burocráticos relacionados às atuais políticas de fomento à cultura. As atuais mudanças, no entanto, se por um lado, parecem ter sido necessárias para tentar garantir uma maior justiça e eficácia na aplicação dos recursos públicos, por outro, tem engendrado grandes dificuldades e desafios para aqueles que não estão muito habituados com trâmites recentemente instituídos. Através deste estudo, portanto, procurei compreender como se dão as relações dos maracatuzeiros com o Estado na contemporaneidade. Para isto, utilizei diferentes estratégias, realizando movimentos que ora me trouxeram ao campo do Estado, ora me aproximaram mais do universo dos representantes das culturas populares. Pelo que pude perceber, os atuais mecanismos além de parecerem ineficazes quanto aos seus objetivos, são incompatíveis com a tradição de muitos grupos populares. O maracatu - como afirmam seus representantes - é uma “brincadeira pesada!”. Suas práticas e representações parecem estar mais próximas a uma dinâmica que envolve ao mesmo tempo brincadeira, sacrifício, dádiva, ritual e espetáculo, ao que os próprios maracatuzeiros chamam genericamente de “cultura do baque solto”. Ainda que a relação com Estado seja uma dimensão importante na contemporaneidade, seus representantes parecem não se adequar plenamente ao “mundo da burocracia. The aim of this work is to understand the current relationship between maracatus de baque solto and the state. It is observed that, on the one hand there was an increasing expansion in terms of investment and institutionalization bodies, laws, programs and actions for popular cultures, on the other, there is a significant difficulty by some representatives of this "culture of segment" to have access to cultural policies that have come created to them. Anatomical variations at the origin of the biceps tendon have been described by several authors, but occurrences of an origin in the supraspinatus are rare. It is unclear whether this variation might contribute toward pathological conditions of the shoulder. Our objective here was to describe a case of an anatomical variation in the origin of the tendon of the long head of the biceps. The clinical information, preoperative images and arthroscopic images relating to a patient with an aberrant origin of the long head of the biceps, which was observed during shoulder arthroscopy, were reviewed. In this case study, the origin of the biceps was found in the rotator cuff, without any origin from the supraglenoid tubercle or upper labrum. This variant did not seem to contribute toward the pathological condition of the shoulder, and standard treatment for the concomitant condition was sufficient for treating it. RESUMO As variações anatômicas na origem do tendão do bíceps foram descritas por vários autores, mas a ocorrência de sua origem no supraespinhal é rara. Não está claro se essa variação pode contribuir para condições patológicas do ombro. Nosso objetivo é descrever um caso de uma variação anatômica da origem da cabeça longa do tendão do bíceps. Informações clínicas, imagens pré-operatórias e imagens artroscópicas foram revisadas a partir de um paciente que teve uma origem aberrante da cabeça longa do bíceps observada durante a artroscopia do ombro. Neste estudo de caso, a origem do bíceps foi encontrada no manguito rotador, sem origem do tubérculo supraglenoidal ou labrum superior. Essa variante não parece contribuir para a patologia ombro e o tratamento padrão de patologia concomitante foi suficiente.
