Siekiant atsakyti į šiuos klausimus, straipsnyje pristatomi trys socialiniuose moksluose dažniausiai aptariami negalios modeliai: individualus, biopsichosocialinis ir socialinis negalios modeliai. Apibūdinamos jų ištakos, plėtotė, esminiai skirtumai. Straipsnis baigiamas dominuojančių modelių (individualaus ir socialinio) reikšmės socialinio darbo praktikai aptarimu. Diskutuojama apie modelių reikšmę piešiant socialinio darbo paslaugų gavėjo portretą ir socialinio darbuotojo veiklos kryptis bei sritis. What is an impairment? What is disability? What is the difference between a person with an impairment and a disabled person? This paper aims to answer these questions and respectively provides an overview of three the most dominant models of disability. In the article the attention is paid to individual, biopsychosocial and social models. Their development, the main differences and the impact on social work practices are outlined.

Mokslo studijoje pristatomi Mokytojų kompetencijos centro, Švietimo ir mokslo ministerijos užsakyto bei Vytauto Didžiojo universiteto tyrėjų atlikto tyrimo rezultatai. Remiantis į vaiką orientuoto ugdymo bei bendruomenių vadybos teorinėmis koncepcijomis, esminiais politiniais dokumentais ir įvertinus surinktus empirinius duomenis, pateikiama ikimokyklinio ir priešmokyklinio ugdymo vadybos kokybės Lietuvoje būklės analizė ir projektuojamas ikimokyklinio ir prieššmokyklinio ugdymo pokyčių kryptingumas., This study presents the research results carried out by the researchers of Vytautas Magnus University. The research was commisioned by the Centre of Teachers Competencies and the Ministry of Education and Science. This scientific study is founded on the child-centered education theory, community management and development theories, as well as on main legal documents on education. Following this, the analysis of the management quality of pre-school and pre-primary education is presented, and the directions of the changes witihin this system are established, both of which are founded on the empirical data of the research.

Straipsnyje analizuojamas santykio užmezgimo ir palaikymo su multiprobleminės šeimos vaiku procesas bei jo ypatumai. Atskleidžiama nevyriausybinės organizacijos vaikų dienos centro praktikantės, savanorės ir darbuotojos patirtis kelyje į santykį su vaiku. Analizuojama, kokią reikšmę asmens veiksmai, veiklos kryptys, požiūris, statusas bei organizacijos vidaus taisyklės turi sėkmingam santykio užmezgimui bei tolimesnei jo plėtotei. Pateikiama unikali vieno asmens patirtis, įgyta savanoriaujant, atliekant universitetinę praktiką bei dirbant socialiniu darbuotoju. An article analyzes the process of entering into and developing relations with children who live in families at social risk. The experience of a trainee, a volunteer and a social worker of daytime child care center on the way to relation with children is explained. The meaning of individual’s actions, activities, point of view, position and rules of organization to successful entering into relations with children is analyzed. In nowadays society there are not a lot of people who have experience of being a volunteer, trainee and professional worker. The article presents person’s unique experience of playing all these professional roles. The main features of entering into relation with children who live in families at social risk are as follows: understanding individual situation of a child and family; setting intercommunication and interrelation limits; identifying and choosing speech; arranging activities responding to situation and needs of children. All these aspects are analyzed in the context of nongovernment organization and intercourses between staff. The aim of the paper is to reveal peculiarities of how a volunteer, a trainee or a new social worker in daytime child care center enters into relation with children who live in families at social risk.

Straipsnyje analizuojamos socialinės rizikos šeimų vaikų socialinio dalyvavimo galimybės, šio proceso bruožų raiška kasdieniame gyvenime bei vaikų dienos centrų veikla, nukreipta į socialinio dalyvavimo plėtotę. Atskleidžiama socialinio dalyvavimo bruožų - „savigarba ir jos palaikymo būdai", „savirealizacijos būdai ir paieška", „svajonės ir lūkesčiai dėl ateities veiklos" - raiška kasdienėje socialinės rizikos šeimų vaikų veikloje bei reikšmė jų socializacijos ir individuacijos procesams. Analizuojama, kokios ugdomosios ir socialinės paslaugos turėtų būti teikiamos vaikų dienos centruose, plėtojant socialinį dalyvavimų. Social participation is a new concept in the contemporary society, however it is of high importance to every member of the society who aims at becoming an active subject of own becoming and who aims at full involvement into the social life. The main features of social participation are as follows: individuation, socialization, parity, self-support, cooperative relations, the development of networks, and open solution of conflicts. These features are important to every person who aims at resettlement into the society and at participation in its processes. Children, who live in the families at social risk, often have no possibilities to cognize and to acquire these features, often get into the social exclusion and come quasi to a crossroad. One of the innovatory social services to children are daytime care centers, i.e. institutions of social services, providing daytime care, social and educational services for children who got into the social exclusion and who are in difficulties. The aim of the paper is to reveal the development trends of social participation in child daytime care centers. The following objectives have been set to reach the aim: to identify the possibilities of child's socialization while creating future dreams; to reveal his/her self-respect and the need of self-realization are forming during the process of individualization; to explore what services, which are provided in daytime child care centers are attached to develop child social participation. Qualitative descriptive research aimed at looking holistically at the importance of experiences of children, who live in the families at social risk, for their social participation. Information and data, which have been collected during this research, may be used for the identification of the situation and needs of children and for the creation of new activities and services that would develop social participation of children
