The issue of waste, particularly food waste, in Indonesia remains unresolved. This study examined the impact of attitude (AT), subjective norms (SN), perceived behavioral control (PBC), environmental knowledge (EK), social media influence (SMI), and government support (GS) on green consumption behavior (GCB) in Indonesia, utilizing the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as a theoretical framework. Using a quantitative methodology, primary data were collected through surveys of 448 participants, including Generation Z and non-Generation Z individuals, using volunteer sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that SN, PBC, EK, SMI, and GS positively influence GCB in Indonesian society, while AT has no significant impact. Furthermore, GS moderated the relationship between the SMI and GCB. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers and businesses to design strategies to enhance green consumption behavior in Indonesia by focusing on the roles of social media and government support. This study contributes to the understanding of the factors driving GCB in Indonesia, highlighting the importance of environmental knowledge, social influence, and governmental initiatives in promoting sustainable consumption practices, especially among the younger generations.

Research aims: This research aims to prove the impact of information technology investments and intellectual capital on firm value (Tobin’s Q) in the financial technology era. Design/Methodology/Approach: This study’s population was banks listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (ISE) during 2017–2022. Purposive sampling was utilized to choose a sample of 46 banks, resulting in a total of 112 observations during six years. This research employed GMM regression for empirical analysis, considering endogeneity. Research findings: The study revealed that while investments in information technology exerted a favorable influence on firm value, intellectual capital had a beneficial impact on firm value. Human Capital Efficiency (HCE) and Capital Employed Efficiency (CEE) positively impacted firm value. However, the variables Structural Capital Efficiency (SCE) and Relational Capital Efficiency (RCE) did not have any effect on firm value. The variables being controlled for in this study comprised corporate level, industry level, and banking type. The financial success of a corporation could be influenced by the corporate level, determined by the organization's size. The influence of industrial level and bank type on company firm value was limited due to the dynamic nature of market conditions and the intensifying competition within the banking system. Theoretical contribution/ Originality: This research contributes theoretically to the field of signaling theory by presenting an advantageous analytical framework to examine the effects of IT investments in the dynamic financial sector. Practitioner/Policy implication: This research contributes to investors in determining investment decisions and the council of commissioners to enhance supervision of IT investments, encourage banking to innovate in leveraging information technology, and introduce new products that can meet customer needs. Research limitation/Implication: The research focuses exclusively on banks listed on ISE and exclusively employs the MVAIC methodology for research purposes. Since this research was limited to the financial statements presented by the company, so some necessary data were not available, requiring an interview or spreading the questionnaire to the sample used. This research was also limited to banking in Indonesia, so the samples used were also limited, and there needs to be a comparison.

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency performance of the implementation of Hydro Water Pump technology in Wonokerso Village, Temanggung Regency. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Primary data was obtained through Focus Group Discussions and interviews with stakeholders, while secondary data was obtained from related documents. Effectiveness performance analysis was conducted using the Social Return on Investment method to measure the social, economic, and environmental impacts of PATH technology implementation, while efficiency performance was measured by comparing the outputs produced with the inputs used. The results showed that the effectiveness performance of PATH technology implementation in Wonokerso Village improved farmers' welfare by increasing the planting period from twice to three times a year, increasing the spirit of mutual cooperation and harmony among farmers and maintaining air cleanliness because it was able to provide irrigation water with non-oil fueled water pump technology. Thus, this program can be said to be effective so that it can be implemented further. Therefore, this study concludes that the application of PATH technology in Wonokerso Village is efficient and effective, so it can be implemented further.

The emergence of sustainable business practices has garnered interest among stakeholders. However, the question of whether sustainability performance provides companies with a competitive advantage is still being debated in the literature. This paper aims to examine the influence of sustainability performance – namely economic sustainability performance and environmental, social, governance (ESG) – on competitive advantage, with the effectiveness of enterprise risk management (ERM) as the moderating variable. This paper used 202 firm-year observations during 2015–2022 from non-financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. To test the hypotheses, panel data regression with a one-year time-lag analysis is conducted. The findings show that economic sustainability performance has no relationship with competitive advantage, while ESG has a positive effect. Furthermore, ERM effectiveness strengthens the effect of economic sustainability and ESG on competitive advantage. Further investigation used a two-year time-lag analysis for a long-term perspective. The analysis shows that economic sustainability performance and ESG have a positive impact on competitive advantage. In contrast, ERM effectiveness has no effect on the relationship between economic sustainability performance and competitive advantage. Moreover, additional analysis incorporates the effect of COVID-19 into the main model and shows that the pandemic did not affect competitive advantage; this is consistent with the main results. The findings encourage companies to improve their risk management and sustainability initiatives. The government may also take it into account when developing rules that promote the implementation of sustainable development. Research aims: This research aims to empirically examine and analyze the effects of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) disclosure on firm performance with market share mediation. Design/Methodology/Approach: The samples covered 38 firms enlisted in the Indonesia Stock Exchange with an observation period of five years. This research used multiple linear regression with the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method to test the hypotheses. Research findings: The findings unveiled that the CSR disclosure partially improved the firm’s performance and market share. Theoretical contribution/Originality: Based on empirical evidence, the theories of stakeholder and legitimacy suggest that CSR disclosure improves firm performance, and the theories of legitimacy and market-based view advocate that CSR disclosure using market share can improve performance. Practitioner/Policy implication: These research results can be used as references for firms to implement better practices of CSR. Research limitation/Implication: This research is bound to subjectivity due to content analysis, in which the researchers had different understandings and perspectives on the research objects during the disclosure assessment.

The increase in carbon emissions poses a significant threat to corporate performance, necessitating appropriate mitigation measures and strategies. However, the role of carbon strategies and political connections in enhancing carbon performance remains a subject of debate. Hence, this research examines the relationship between carbon strategies, types of carbon strategies, and political connections with carbon performance in polluting industries in Indonesia. The sample consist of 192 firm-year companies during 2016-2022. This study found: First, a combination of various types of carbon strategies will drive improvements in carbon performance. Second, compensation mechanisms can mitigate carbon emissions excesses. Third, the implementation of mitigation measures through innovation in processes and products can reduce carbon emissions. Fourth, political connections exacerbate corporate carbon performance. The research outcomes contribute to companies by providing insights into mitigation measures that can be undertaken to reduce carbon emissions and promote the achievement of Indonesia's vision of net-zero emissions.

Materiality analysis and stakeholder engagement are crucial processes in sustainability reports which aim to identify material issues and prioritize them based on stakeholder interests. Subjectivity in the process of determining materiality and stakeholder engagement can affect the quality of sustainability reports because management can determine the information to be published and eliminate negative information related to sustainability. This research aims to investigate the influence of board of directors’ activity, presence of independence commissioners, company financial performance, and size on materiality disclosure and stakeholder engagement in mining companies in Indonesia. Content analysis and multiple regression analysis were carried out on 70 sustainability reports. The research results show that the involvement of the board of directors and the quantity of board members have a positive and significant effect, while the presence of independence commissioners and company size do not have a significant effect on materiality and stakeholder disclosure. It is noteworthy that disclosing materiality in sustainability reports is a crucial aspect of business practices, irrespective of the company’s financial status or size. This research contributes to the disclosure of materiality and stakeholder involvement in the reporting of companies operating in Indonesia from the perspective of stakeholder theory and legitimacy theory.

This study examined the impact of top management characteristics on strategic change in public hospitals in Indonesia, focusing on the mediating role of performance measurement system (PMS) design. Questionnaires were distributed to 157 top managers from Indonesian regional public hospitals undergoing reform. The findings indicate that younger, short-tenured top managers with business administration backgrounds are likelier to lead the strategic change, specifically the shift from a defender to a prospector strategy. Additionally, PMS design partially mediates the relationship between top managers' age, educational background, and strategic change. However, no significant mediation effect of PMS design was observed in the relationship between top managers' tenure and strategic change. These results suggest that healthcare organisations should consider their top managers' characteristics when planning and implementing strategic change. The role of PMS design in facilitating strategic change should also be carefully evaluated, especially when considering younger and less tenured top managers as change leaders.

Efficiency for a bank is an important aspect to pay attention to realize a healthy and sustainable financial performance. This research aims to analyze the profit and cost efficiency of Rural Banks in Indonesia for the 2018-2022 period and examine the influence of financial performance measures on the cost efficiency of Rural Banks. The sample for this research was 497 BPRs in West Java, East Java, and Bali. Efficiency testing uses stochastic frontier analysis with an intermediation approach for cost efficiency and a production approach for profit efficiency. Financial performance measures represented by the NPL ratio, LDR, CAR, and total assets were tested using Tobit regression. The results of cost efficiency using the intermediation approach show that BPR in the three regions from 2019 to 2022 is in an inefficient condition. Similar to cost efficiency, the results of profit efficiency using a production approach show that BPRs from these three regions from 2019 to 2022 are in an inefficient condition. Based on the Tobit regression results, financial performance measures influence cost efficiency. Financial performance measures that influence cost efficiency are NPL, CAR, and total assets. The LDR ratio does not affect on cost efficiency.

The framework for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure has become crucial throughout the world. Globally, various ESG reporting frameworks have emerged, but there are still few companies in Indonesia that are involved in ESG. This research aims to develop an ESG performance assessment instrument based on material aspects of sustainability for all industries in Indonesia. The data was obtained by extracting 472 corporate sustainability reports in Indonesia during 2021 and ESG indicators were determined through focus group discussions and inter-rater reliability tests. The ESG performance assessment in this study adopted the methodology of the Refinitiv Institute and the ESG indicator weights were modified according to the new ESG indicators. A total of 65 ESG indicators were analyzed and these showed that the majority of companies in Indonesia have relatively satisfactory ESG performance and a moderate level of transparency in reporting important ESG data to the public. Cluster analysis with the K-means algorithm shows that each company needs to improve performance on at least one ESG pillar. The results of this research support the initiatives that have been taken by global regulators and stock exchanges to require companies to disclose ESG information in the future.

AbstractThe aim of this paper is to investigates whether the level of materiality, stakeholder engagement, and corporate governance disclosure enhance the quality of sustainability reporting. The quality measured the by four indexed information dimensions: relative quantity disclosure, density, accuracy, and management orientation. A quantitative content analysis was undertaken on 172 sustainability reports of non-financial Indonesian companies from 2016 to 2020. The hypothesis were tested using a panel data approach. The regression test showed that the level of materiality, stakeholder engagement, and corporate governance disclosure does not lead to the improvement of sustainability reporting quality. Further analysis on each quality dimension found that materiality disclosure has a significant positive effect on the relative quantity disclosure and has no significant effect on companies’ density, accuracy, and management orientation of companies. On the other hand, stakeholder engagement and corporate governance disclosure have no significant effect on the quality index, which is consistent with the main test. These results indicate that materiality disclosure has become one of the crucial aspect for companies that significantly increasing their disclosure intention. Furthermore, companies should pay more attention to the quality of information disclosed in materiality disclosures. Finally, government must evaluate the regulation that can encourage companies to present information relevant to sustainability, which can improve the sustainability reporting quality.

This paper examines a conceptual framework that describes the relationship between energy eco-efficiency, energy audit and environmental performance. In this paper, the authors argue that eco-efficiency and energy audits can directly affect environmental performance. This paper examines responses to a survey of general managers in hotel companies registered with the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics. The time horizon of data collection is cross-sectional. The hypothesis was tested using a multiple linear regression analysis approach by interpreting the regression model through the value of the significant coefficient to see the partial effect. In general, the proposed framework obtains adequate fit statistics. Furthermore, the results support the argument that eco-efficiency and energy audits positively and significantly affect the company's environmental performance. A limitation of this study relates to the small sample size, as environmental results and energy use are still considered confidential by many hotel companies. A causal relationship could not be confirmed for the results. The instrument used was fully adopted from previous research without unidimensional retesting. This study contributes to the literature-based view of natural resource energy conservation by responding to recent calls to examine energy conservation efforts on environmental performance. These results can be a special reference for policy-making in companies to improve their environmental performance continuously. This study also has important implications for energy conservation practices by describing the potential for energy savings through eco-efficiency and energy audits to improve environmental performance. These results indicate that energy conservation with improved environmental management accounting mechanisms in Indonesia seems to require more pressure as mandated by the government.

ABSTRACT This research purpose is to analyze the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure on the value of environmentally risky companies, as those in agricultural, primary industry and chemicals, mining, property, real estate, and building construction sectors, listed on the IDX from 2015 to 2018 through investment efficiency and innovation. The results of the PLS analysis indicate that such disclosure positively and insignificantly affects firm value through investment efficiency. Better exposure and efficiency tend to increase substantial value, although the improvement is insignificant in the underinvestment scenario. Furthermore, the disclosure positively and significantly enhances firm value through innovations with research and development activities. ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh CSRD terhadap nilai perusahaan melalui efisiensi investasi dan inovasi pada perusahaan berisiko dalam hal dampak lingkungan seperti sektor Agriculture, Basic Industry dan Chemicals, Mining, Property, Real Estate dan Building Construction terdaftar di BEI tahun 2015-2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode PLS sebagai analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CSRD berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan melalui efisiensi investasi, artinya semakin baik CSRD dan efisiensi investasi maka cenderung dapat meningkatkan nilai perusahaan, meskipun peningkatannya tidak signifikan pada skenario underinvestment dan CSRD berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan melalui inovasi dengan aktivitas RnD.

This study analyzed the creating shared value (CSV) concept in the food and beverage industry using descriptive quantitative method. CSV is the practice of creating corporate policies and practices that enhance a company's competitiveness while simultaneously advancing the social and economic conditions in communities in which the company sells and operates. It is considered an enhanced version of CSR, which emphasizes the synchronization between social and economic progress. Thirteen listed food and beverage companies in Indonesia from 2015 to 2017 were analyzed, resulting in 39 firm-year observations. We conducted a content analysis on the sample CSR reports using Drozdz et al.’s (2015) indicators. Our analysis showed that companies created value mostly for their customers, since customers are especially important for these firms because of their prominent nature. The result supports the legitimacy theory, which stated that companies need to align their operations with the expectations of the society they operate in order to survive. In addition, the result suggests that food and beverage companies need to start creating more shared values for the society, their employees, the environment, and their suppliers. Purpose – This study aims to prove the complexity of the relationship between CSR and financial performance (FP) and to decompose the complexity of the relationship using neo-institutional theory. Design/methodology/approach – This research employs a meta-analysis that integrates 55 various contexts studied between 1998 and 2017 using correlation coefficient as the effect size. Findings – This study proves that the nature of the relationship between CSR and FP is complex and suggests that the analysis of the relationship between the two variables includes institutional factors to produce generalizable conclusions. Country characteristics, forms and dimensions of CSR, CSR measurements and FP measurements explain the complexity of the relationship between CSR and FP. Research limitations/implications – Future research is expected to include industry characteristics and the corporate governance model in the analysis of the relationship between CSR and FP. Differences in industry characteristics affect the selection of CSR forms and dimensions, bringing it the potential to influence the relationship between CSR and FP. The corporate governance model adopted by developing countries and developed countries also has the potential to be an institutional factor to influence the relationship between CSR and FP. Originality/value – This research proves that the complexity of the relationship between CSR and FP is nature given. This research explores the factors causing the complexity of the relationship using neo-institutional theory, which, to the author's knowledge, has not been done by other researchers.

Corporate disclosure and corporate governance are two inseparable instruments of investor protection. This research sought to find evidence on how corporate governance mechanisms affect the extent of voluntary disclosures. Voluntary disclosures were measured using content analysis on published annual reports. The sample of this research consisted of 81 firm-year observations from 27 firms of consumer goods sector listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2018. Using multiple regression method, the result has shown that board size and board independence increase voluntary disclosures, indicating that the commissioners have effectively represented the interests of shareholders by monitoring and encouraging the management to increase disclosure. This research provided new evidence that family ownership increases voluntary disclosure, suggesting that family firms are more concerned by the costs of non-disclosure. Meanwhile, institutional ownership does not significantly affect voluntary disclosure.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of earnings management on carbon emission disclosure with corporate governance as a moderating variable. The population was companies in the sector of industry and chemical, agriculture, energy, transportation listed on the Indonesia stock exchange (IDX). Based on the purposive sampling method, 12 companies were selected as the samples (60 firm-year observations). The data analysis technique used is the moderate regression analysis (MRA). The results showed that the earnings management has a significant positive effect on carbon emission disclosure. The board of commissioner size moderates the influence of the earnings management on the carbon emission disclosure. The board of directors has a role in affecting the carbon emission disclosure, while the independent commissioners, the institutional ownership, and the audit committee meetings do not have a significant effect on weakening the effect of profit management on carbon emission disclosure

This study aims to examine observations and determine the effects of corporate governance on the efficiency of the Indonesian banking sector. The research calculated DEA efficiency and performed logistic regression, with a total sample of 150 observations. Results show that independent commissioners, the educational level of commissioners, the board of commissioners meeting, and the term of office of the commissioners all have a significant impact on improving the efficiency of the banking industry. Conversely, the large number of commissioners as well as the gender differences among them do not have any effect on banking efficiency. These findings indicate that authorities should not focus on the size of the board and the gender differences among the board commissioners in finding ways to increase or decrease a firm’s efficiency. The results of this study can contribute to academic research through agency theory and resource dependence theory as well as provide insights that can be used by practitioners. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji determinan pengungkapan tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan (Corporate Sosial Responsibility/ CSR) dan pengaruh pengungkapan tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Teknik pemilihan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Ukuran sampel penelitian sebanyak 156 perusahaan yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia antara tahun 2014 dan 2017. Regresi data panel dengan model efek acak digunakan untuk menganalisis data penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan umur perusahaan, jumlah dewan komisaris, ukuran dan reputasi perusahaan terhadap pengungkapan CSR, namun tidak terdapat pengaruh kinerja keuangan, jumlah kepemilikan saham manajamen, dan likuiditas. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa pengungkapan CSR dapat menentukan nilai perusahaan.

Balanced scorecard (BSC) is a performance measurement method which is applied to private organizations to balance between financial and nonfinancial aspects. However, in this case, the financial measure of BSC application to non-profit public sector organizations is very different from private organizations. This study aims at measuring the performance of hospitals in Pasuruan based on four BSC perspectives (financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business process perspective,and learning and growth perspective). This study was conducted at the hospital using secondary data in the form of financial reports and non-financial reports. The object of this research was the hospitals in Pasuruan. The results showed that the performance of the three hospitals in Pasuruan in using BCS gauge is good. This reflects that the three hospitals in Pasuruan always strive to realize the achievement of vision, mission, and goals as one of the optimal public health services in Pasuruan and surrounding areas.

The purpose of this paper is to present the results of a meta-analysis of the relationship between determinant factors and tax evasion based on deterrence approach. Using the meta-analysis method, each statistical result of empirical studies is converted into r-pearson as standardized effect size, and then synthesized into a mean effect size in order to increase power and to resolve uncertainty. Theoretically, increasing audit, tax rate and tax penalty will decrease tax evasion. However, the results show that only tax rate has a significant impact on tax evasion. Synthesizing totally 478 outcomes from articles published between 1978 and 2018, there is a robust conclusion that decreasing tax rate is an effective tool in combating tax evasion. On the other hand, audit and penalty are not significant in influencing tax evasion. In addition, the results of heterogeneity analysis suggest that national culture and income level of the country are useful in explaining the impact of audit, tax rate and tax penalty on tax evasion. These findings should be of interest to policymakers. First, instead of sacrificing more resources in conducting audit or imposing more penalty, tax authorities should consider setting the tax rate as low as possible to diminish tax evasion. Second, considering that culture and income level influence the impact of audit and penalty on tax evasion, policymakers should consider national cultural values and income level condition when designing audit techniques and setting penalty structures.

This study argues that, inconsistent results of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) relationship with financial performance is due to the complexity of relationship between two variables. The complexity of relationship stems from the nature of CSR, which is unseparable from its environment. This nature of relationship brings unfavourable impact on empirical research. The conclusion obtained from empirical evidents of such relationship will be highly contextual and lack generalization. This study proposes variables that led to the complexity of CSR relationship and financial performance, which are country characteristics as well as CSR forms and dimensions. Country characteristics determine the tendency of CSR practices, which finally influence the strength of CSR relationship with financial performance. The selection of CSR forms and dimensions to be done is part of a company’s strategy in an effort to achieve legitimacy.

This research aimed to determine the criteria used by venture capital before investing in start-up companies, and the role of venture capital as a supporter of the start-up companies in Indonesia. This research is qualitative descriptive with a case study research approach. It was conducted in the venture capital in the city of Jakarta, using interview to collect the data. The results of this research indicate that the criteria used by venture capital before carrying out the investment process are, seeing team members, the products to be offered, marketing and exit strategies. The role of venture capital is as a supporter of the start-up companies in Indonesia by helping their funding access, assisting them to grow, supporting networking activities and mentoring, and helping them to expand the market access for the start-up products.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh manajemen laba terhadap perencanaan pajak dan persistensi laba dengan menggunakan ukuran perusahaan sebagai variabel kontrol. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi data panel dengan menggunakan data sekunder dari Bursa Efek Indonesia. Sampel terdiri atas 40 perusahaan manufaktur selama periode 2006-2010. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian ditemukan bahwa baik manajemen laba riil maupun manajemen laba akrual meningkatkan persistensi laba, sedangkan perencanaan pajak tidak mempengaruhi persistensi laba. Perusahaan melakukan manajemen laba riil melalui manipulasi penjualan dan pengurangan beban diskresi tunai untuk mempengaruhi persistensi laba, sedangkan produksi barang secara berlebihan terbukti tidak mempengaruhi persistensi laba. Selain itu, perusahaan terbukti tidak melakukan manajemen laba dalam melakukan perencanaan pajak. Perusahaan yang melakukan manajemen laba akan memiliki laba yang lebih persisten dibandingkan dengan perusahaan yang tidak melakukan manajemen laba. Semakin besar ukuran perusahaan, semakin persisten laba perusahaan. Penelitian ini mendukung teori keagenan yang menjelaskan bahwa manajemen laba dilakukan dengan motivasi signaling.

Abstract: Determinant of Islamic Banks Performance. This study aims to examine the effect of strategic performance measurement system and interactive control on Islamic banking performance through capability. Data collection was done by mail survey to Islamic Bank in East Java and processed using Partial Least Square.. The study proves that interactive controls and strategic performance measurement systems are able to facilitate the organization. In addition, the capability contributes to improving organizational performance. These results become important so that information resources generated benefit. Nevertheless, the strategic performance measurement system has no effect on performance due to the different characteristics of Islamic banks making improvement in environmental change.

This study aimed to understand the effect of dividend policy on corporate value, as well as to examine and analyze the variation of result study on corporate value in Indonesia.Dividend Signaling Model was the grand theory used to explain the effect of dividend policy on corporate value. This study used meta-analysis approach with the sample were 70 researches in Indonesia, both the published and unpublished in 2007-2015. The result of this study, meta-analysis strengthens the findings of the previous study which stated that the dividend policy could increase the corporate value. The differences of the previous studies were due to the presence of moderation effect from the measurement model of corporate value and dividend corporate.

This study was aimed to empirically analyze the effect of participatory budgeting on the school’s performance with organizational commitment, organizational culture, and leadership styles as the moderating variabels. The populations in this study are educators, educational personnel, committe of 801 people and spread at the vocational high schools in Sumbawa regency comprising 17 private and public schools. The disproportionate stratified simple random sampling was used as sampling technique. There are 278 repondents (educators, educational personnel, committee). The analysis method involved SEM PLS and Smart PLS 2.0 as statistic test tools. The result showed that the participatory budgeting affected the school performances. The organizational commitment and leadership styles were able to moderate the effect of participatory budgeting on performances. The leadership styles focusing on the preference and skill of the subordinates became the main concern and the commitment of the members to the organization supported the performance of the schools. This research is aimed to analyze efficiency performance in banking industries in Indonesia within 2012-2014 period. Data Envelopment Analysis method was used to find determinant in Tobit regression model. Purposive sampling was used to determine samples with the number of companies up to 89 banks consist of 5 different groups. Those are 26 state and local government own enterprises, 6 foreign banks, 11 mixed banks, 19 BUSN Devisa, 27 BUSN non Devisa. Based on analysis result, obtained that the foreign banks has the efficiency the highest compared to a group of banks BUMN/BUMD ( the government banks), BUSN non-foreign exchange , BUSN foreign exchange , and a group of banks a mixture. Efficiency in banking influenced by return on assets (ROA). The higher roa will be able to improve the efficiency banks in indonesia . Keywords: DEA, Tobit, ROA, CAR, NPL

Performance measurement in hospitals is difficult to do because the human resources did much in the operational activities. This study tried to analyze patient satisfaction as one of the non-financial measurement process quality of services performed by doctors, nurses and pharmacy staff. Results of this study showed that the quality of the service process by doctors, nurses and successfully treatment significantly influence patient satisfaction. This indicates that the quality of the service process by doctors, nurses and successfully treatment can be measured through patient satisfaction. Quality of the service process by pharmacy staff and ease adminitratif no significant effect on patient satisfaction. That is, there is the quality of the service process by pharmacy staff and ease adminitratif should be measured through the measurement of non-financial sharing.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bukti empiris penggunaan informasi finansial dan kinerja nonfinansial dalam pembuatan keputusan alokasi anggaran dekon­sentrasi dan tugas pembantuan. Penggunaan kedua jenis informasi ini diindikasikan ada­nya pengaruh positif informasi tersebut terhadap alokasi anggaran. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dengan pusposive sampling terhadap dinas kelautan dan perikanan provinsi sebagai satuan kerja dekonsentrasi dan tugas pembantuan dari Direktorat Jenderal Perikanan Budidaya. Hasil analisis regresi linier berganda dengan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS) menunjukkan bahwa informasi finansial dan kinerja nonfinansial masing-masing memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap alokasi anggaran. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa informasi finansial dan kinerja nonfinansial digunakan dalam pembuatan keputusan alokasi anggaran dekonsentrasi dan tugas pembantuan.

Abstrak: Luas Pengungkapan dan Dampaknya Terhadap Asimetri Informasi Perusahaan di Bursa Efek Indonesia (Studi pada Perusahaan Sektor Keuangan). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh Corporate Governance dan Karakteristik Perusahaan terhadap Luas Pengungkapan dan pengaruh Luas Pengungkapan terhadap Asimetri Informasi. Studi ini dilakukan pada perusahaan di sektor keuangan yang go public di Indonesia periode 2008 - 2010. Dengan menggunakan multiple regression dan simple regression analysis ditemukan hasil bahwa Komposisi Dewan Komisaris Independen, Ukuran Perusahaan, Profitabilitas berpengaruh positif terhadap Luas Pengungkapan dan Likuiditas berpengaruh negatif terhadap Luas Pengungkapan. Selain itu, Luas Pengungkapan berpengaruh negatif terhadap Asimetri Informasi. Abstract: Extensive Disclosure and Its Impact on Corporate Information Asymmetry in The Indonesia Stock Exchange (Studies in Financial Sector Company). This study aims to analyze the influence of Corporate Governance and Corporate Characteristics on Extensive Disclosure; and the influence of Extensive Disclosure on Information Asymmetry. The study was conducted on companies in the financial sector which have been go public in Indonesia from 2008 to 2010. By using multiple regression and simple regression analysis, the result indicates that The Board of Independent Commissioners Composition, Company Size, Profitability have given positive influence on Extensive Disclosure; and Liquidity negatively affect on Extensive Disclosure. In addition, the influence of Extensive Disclosure has negative effect on Information Asymmetry.

This study aims to examine the effect of related party transactions (RPTs) on banks’ performance and investigates political connections as moderator in their causal relationship. Our sample is 40 Indonesian banks listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the years 2013–2016 with 160 observations as panel data. Based on panel data regression test, our results demonstrate that account receivables-related RPTs have a positive effect on banks’ profitability and its market performance (Tobin’s Q), but there are consequences of high operating costs and the risk of non-performing loans. Banks receive more funds from their related parties (account payables-related RPTs), banks exhibit higher capital capability and lower market performance. Further, the political connection index in banks significantly affect banks’ capability, liquidity, efficiency, and market value through RPTs. This result indicates that political connection strengthens the effects of RPTs on banks’ performance. Although this study has limited information in determining political connections and has not considered macroeconomic conditions, these findings imply that political connection plays an important role in banks’ performance in Indonesia.

Abstract: The Study of Financial Statement Information Quality and Information Asymetry Before and After IFRS Adoption. This study examines quality of financial statement information and information asymetry before and after the adoption of IFRS in Indonesia. The study uses value relevance as the proxy of the quality of financial statement information and the bid ask spread as the proxy of information asymmetry. The sample in this research was 129 public companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2008 and 2012. This study employed regression analysis and Paired-Sample t Test. The results showed that there is an increasing quality of financial statement information after the adoption of IFRS and that the information asymmetry decreased after the adoption of IFRS.

This study aims to test empirically the effect of education spending on educational performance using multiple linear regression analysis. The approach used to test the moderating variable with the absolute value of the difference method. Regression testing was performed on 63 samples of both elementary and junior high schools from total population 167 in the district of East Kalimantan Province Bulungan in the period 2011. The results showed that the higher education spending, the more it will improve educational performance. Good governanceaffects educational performance independently either simultaneously or partially.
