The growth in the telecommunications market has generated different forms of competition; therefore, regulatory entities conduct a continuous analysis of this to identify the consequences for the development of the sector and its users. This paper presents the statistical and competition or concentration analysis for the mobile internet market in Colombia using the Herfindahl-Hirschman index (HHI), which is then projected for one year using the forecast of the number of accesses, incomes, and traffic on operators with a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network. The operator data used for statistical analysis and training of the LSTM network corresponds to the last eleven years. Through this evaluation, low competition or high concentration in this market is evident and predicted. In addition, recommendations are made to reduce concentration based on recent policies developed by the regulatory entity.
