This article examines the impact of mainly being in different labour force statuses on women's happiness levels in Türkiye. Other predictors include educational level, household income and what makes one the happiest. Ordered logistic regression models are used by implementing a pseudo‐panel approach. Findings demonstrate that unemployed women are less likely to be happier relative to women in paid work. There is a statistically significant higher likelihood for housewives to report being happier compared to employed women throughout the years for the same cohort, which could be associated with the (socially structured) fulfilment brought about by the conformity to traditional gender roles in a context where these norms are widely adopted, and concurrently the circumstances diminishing working women's happiness at home and in the job market. The probability to report being very happy is the highest for highly educated housewives who have a high level of household income, yet it decreases over time for the cohort observed. Findings refer to the importance of enhancing the well‐being of women in paid work via supporting equal domestic division of labour patterns and improving their conditions in the labour market. This study focuses on the predictors of women academics' perceived research productivity during the pandemic in Türkiye, by taking the changes in paid and unpaid workload alongside the felt pressure concerning productivity into consideration. Predicting the odds to report an above the mean level of decrease in perceived research productivity, unlike expected, increased housework time and administrative workload presented no statistically significant effect. On the other hand, extended care responsibilities (including but not limited to childcare) and felt pressure concerning research performance during the pandemic strongly predicted a high level of reported decrease in research productivity. Findings highlight that institutional care support mechanisms should be among the primary concerns since the pandemic has made the already existing gender inequalities in academia more visible in terms of the challenges women face in balancing paid and unpaid work. In addition, as excess pressure felt by women academics regarding research performance is linked to a decline in reported productivity, creating a compassionate environment in academia not only in unprecedented circumstances but at all times needs to be priority. 3D Food Printing (3DFP) technology is expected to enter homes in the near future as a kitchen appliance. On the other hand, 3DFP is perceived as a non-domestic technology by potential users and domestic users' attitudes and everyday habits received less attention in previous 3DFP research. Exploring their perspective is needed to reflect their daily kitchen dynamics on the design process and discover possible new benefits situated in the home kitchen. On this basis, this study focuses on finding potential 3DFP users and explores their attitudes towards using 3DFP technology in their home kitchens through a two-stage study: First, we prioritized potential users based on their relationship with food through a questionnaire and found six factors that positively affect their attitude towards 3DFP: cooking every day, ordering food less than once a month, eating out at least a couple of times a month, having a mini oven, a multicooker, or a kettle, liking to try new foods, thinking that cooking is a fun activity. Second, we conducted semi-structured interviews with seven participants to discuss the possible benefits and drawbacks of 3DFP technology for their daily lives in the kitchen. Results revealed two new benefits that 3DFP at home may provide: risk-free cooking and cooking for self-improvement. We discuss the potential implications of these two benefits for design and HCI research focusing on how to facilitate automation and pleasurable aspects of cooking into future 3DFP devices. This study uses the Gender Inequality Index (GII) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to examine the impacts of gender equality or inequality upon happiness and life satisfaction. It also explores the impact of selected demographic predictors (gender, educational level, and income) and individuals' attitudes toward gender egalitarian ideals on these two components of well-being in gender equal and unequal countries. Partial proportional odds models are implemented to investigate happiness and life satisfaction levels of respondents in the 7th wave of World Values Survey (Haerpfer et al., 2022). The main findings are paradoxical; they show that increasing gender inequality at the macro level improves the likelihood for any person to be both very unhappy and very happy, and the pattern is the same for life satisfaction. People with gender egalitarian ideals who live in gender-equal countries have an increased likelihood of being very unhappy and the tendency to report being at a higher level of happiness than unhappy. In gender unequal countries, it improves the likelihood to be at higher levels of happiness than very unhappy but also the tendency of being happy or at a lower level. Increasing gender egalitarianism improves the likelihood to be more satisfied with life, especially in unequal contexts. While the impact of demographic components on happiness and life satisfaction does not vary in gender equal and unequal countries, gender egalitarianism demonstrates diversified patterns of happiness. Further studies need to focus on the dynamics between micro- and macro-level gender egalitarianism, and their individual and combined impact on different markers of well-being.
