If perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with high power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) are to be commercialized, they must achieve long-term stability, which is usually assessed with accelerated degradation tests. One of the persistent obstacles for PSCs has been successfully passing the damp-heat test (85°C and 85% relative humidity), which is the standard for verifying the stability of commercial photovoltaic (PV) modules. We fabricated damp heat–stable PSCs by tailoring the dimensional fragments of two-dimensional perovskite layers formed at room temperature with oleylammonium iodide molecules; these layers passivate the perovskite surface at the electron-selective contact. The resulting inverted PSCs deliver a 24.3% PCE and retain >95% of their initial value after >1000 hours at damp-heat test conditions, thereby meeting one of the critical industrial stability standards for PV modules.

High-efficiency perovskite-based solar cells comprise sophisticated stacks of materials which, however, often feature different thermal expansion coefficients and are only weakly bonded at their interfaces. This may raise concerns over delamination in such devices, jeopardizing their long-term stability and commercial viability. Here, we investigate the root causes of catastrophic top-contact delamination we observed in state-of-the-art p-i-n perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells. By combining macroscopic and microscopic analyses, we identify the interface between the fullerene electron transport layer and the tin oxide buffer layer at the origin of such delamination. Specifically, we find that the perovskite morphology and its roughness play a significant role in the microscopic adhesion of the top layers, as well as the film processing conditions, particularly the deposition temperature and the sputtering power. Our findings mandate the search for new interfacial linking strategies to enable mechanically strong perovskite-based solar cells, as required for commercialization.

A similar optical benefit can be obtained in monolithic perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells, enhancing the current output of the silicon bottom cell. Yet, such complex silicon surfaces may affect the structural and optoelectronic properties of the overlying perovskite films. Here, through extensive characterization based on optical and microstructural spectroscopy, it is found that the main effect of such substrate morphology lies in an altering of the photoluminescence response of the perovskite, which is associated with thickness variations of the perovskite, rather than lattice strain or compositional changes. he purpose of this research is to examine the basic foundations and approach, general purposes, measurement and application recommendations of the Turkish Education Program for Foreigners (2020), and the acquisitions of language skills and language levels in terms of 21st century skills. In this direction, document analysis was used in the research and the obtained data was analyzed by descriptive analysis method. According to the findings of the research, it was concluded that 21st century skills were included in the basic foundations of the program and its general goals in healthy life, measurement and evaluation, and the use of the program in applications. In addition, language skills and language level acquisitions were found to be mostly compatible with 21st century skills. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Öğretim Programı’nın (2020) temel dayanaklar ve yaklaşım, genel amaçlar, ölçme ve değerlendirme alanı, programın uygulanmasına ilişkin öneriler kısmı ile dil becerileri ve dil seviyeleri kazanımlarını 21. yüzyıl becerileri açısından incelemektir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada doküman incelemesi kullanılmış ve elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Çalışmanın bulgularına göre programın temel dayanakları ve yaklaşımında, genel amaçlarında, ölçme ve değerlendirme ile programın uygulanmasına ilişkin öneriler kısmında 21. yüzyıl becerilerine yer verildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca dil becerileri ve dil seviyeleri kazanımlarının çoğunlukla 21. yüzyıl becerileriyle uyumlu olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ancak kazanımlara genel olarak bakıldığında 21. yüzyıl becerilerinin dil becerilerinde ve dil seviyelerindeki dağılımlarının eşit bir şekilde yapılmadığı görülmüştür.

Yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimi için hazırlanan ders kitapları, sadece hedef dili değil aynı zamanda o kültürün millî değerlerini de öğrettiği için değerlerin paylaşımı ve aktarımı açısından önemli kaynaklardır. Değerler içeren kitaplar okumak, bir bireyin sosyal yaşamdaki duyarlılığına, o toplumun değerlerine uyum sağlama becerisine ve o kültür içinde duygu ve davranışların doğru şekilde nasıl yönetileceğine dair bir anlayışa katkıda bulunur. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın amacı, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü tarafından hazırlanan Yedi İklim Türkçe Öğretim Seti (A1, A2, B1 ve B2 seviyeleri) ders kitaplarında yer alan okuma metinlerinde sunulan kök değerlerin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın verilerinin toplanmasında doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Ders kitaplarındaki okuma metinlerinden elde edilen verilerin analizinde ise betimsel analiz yolu kullanılmıştır. Bu ders kitaplarında geçen değerler, Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından hazırlanan kök değerler (adalet, dostluk, dürüstlük, öz denetim, sabır, sevgi, sorumluluk, vatanseverlik ve yardımseverlik) dikkate alınarak tespit edilmiştir. Ders kitapları üzerinde yapılan inceleme sonucunda kitaplarda yer alan okuma metinlerinde toplam 408 kök değer bulunmuştur. En yüksek sayıda kök değer ders kitabı serisinin B1 düzeyinde, en az sayıda değer A1 düzeyinde görülmüştür. Kitap setinde en çok vurgulanan değerin "sevgi”; en az vurgulanan değerin ise "vatanseverlik" olduğu görülmüştür. Yedi İklim Türkçe öğretim setindeki metinlerin kök değerler bakımından zengin içerik taşıdığı söylenebilir.

Amaç: Coronavirus hastalığı-19 (COVID-19), şiddetli akut solunum sendromu koronavirüs 2'den (SARS-CoV-2) kaynaklanır. Anjiyotensin dönüştürücü enzim 2 (ACE2), COVID-19 dahil olmak üzere çeşitli hastalıkların patolojik değişikliklerini düzenlemede hayati bir rol oynayabilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı ACE2 genin ekspresyonunu Türk COVID-19 hastalarında analiz etmekti. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışmada 80 COVID-19 PCR testi pozitif hasta ve 80 PCR testi negatif olan sağlıklı gönüllü birey çalışmaya dahil edildi. Tüm örneklerden RNA izolasyonu yapıldı. ACE2 geninin ekspresyonunu analiz etmek için RT-PZR cihazı kullanıldı. Bulgular: COVID-19 hastalarının yaş, Laktat dehidrojenaz (LDH), ferritin ve C-reaktif protein (CRP) seviyelerinde sağlıklı gönüllülere kıyasla anlamlı bir fark bulundu. Gen ekspresyon sonuçlarına göre, ACE2 geni ekspresyonu COVID-19 hastalarında sağlıklı gönüllülere kıyasla anlamlı derecede yüksek bulundu. COVID-19 hastalarında ACE2 geninin ekspresyonu ile Kan üre nitrojeni (BUN), Hemoglobin (HGB), Hematokrit (HCT) ve CRP seviyeleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulundu. Sonuç: ACE2 gen ekspresyonu COVID-19 hastalarında yüksek bulundu ve klinik verilere göre farklılıklar gösterdi. Bu nedenle, ACE2'nin ekspresyonu, SARSCoV2'nin patojenitesini destekleyen ancak tersine viral enfeksiyonu sınırlayan paradoksal etkilere sahip olabilir. ACE2 reseptörlerinin mevcudiyeti, COVID-19'un duyarlılığını ve/veya hastalık seyrini artırabilir.

Summary Stacking perovskite solar cells onto crystalline silicon bottom cells in a monolithic tandem configuration enables power-conversion efficiencies (PCEs) well above those of their single-junction counterparts. However, state-of-the-art wide-band-gap perovskite films suffer from phase stability issues. Here, we show how carbazole as an additive to the perovskite precursor solution can not only reduce nonradiative recombination losses but, perhaps more importantly, also can suppress phase segregation under exposure to moisture and light illumination. This enables a stabilized PCE of 28.6% (independently certified at 28.2%) for a monolithic perovskite/silicon tandem solar cell over ∼1 cm2 and 27.1% over 3.8 cm2, built from a textured silicon heterojunction solar cell. The modified tandem devices retain ∼93% of their performance over 43 days in a hot and humid outdoor environment of almost 100% relative humidity over 250 h under continuous 1-sun illumination and about 87% during a 85/85 damp-heat test for 500 h, demonstrating the improved phase stability.

Perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells are emerging as a high-efficiency and prospectively cost-effective solar technology with great promise for deployment at the utility scale. However, despite the remarkable performance progress reported lately, assuring sufficient device stability-particularly of the perovskite top cell-remains a challenge on the path to practical impact. In this work, we analyze the outdoor performance of encapsulated bifacial perovskite/silicon tandems, by carrying out field-testing in Saudi Arabia. Over a six month experiment, we find that the open circuit voltage retains its initial value, whereas the fill factor degrades, which is found to have two causes. A first degradation mechanism is linked with ion migration in the perovskite and is largely reversible overnight, though it does induce hysteretic behavior over time. A second, irreversible, mechanism is caused by corrosion of the silver metal top contact with the formation of silver iodide. These findings provide directions for the design of new and more stable perovskite/silicon tandems

Summary Stable and efficient perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells require defect passivation and suppression of light-induced phase segregation of the wide-band-gap perovskite. Here, we report how molecules containing both electron-rich and electron-poor moieties, such as phenformin hydrochloride (PhenHCl), can satisfy both requirements, independent of the perovskite’s surface chemical composition and its grain boundaries and interfaces. PhenHCl-passivated wide-band-gap (∼1.68 eV) perovskite p-i-n single-junction solar cells deliver an open-circuit voltage (VOC) ∼100 mV higher than control devices, resulting in power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) up to 20.5%. These devices do not show any VOC losses after more than 3,000 h of thermal stress at 85°C in a nitrogen ambient. Moreover, PhenHCl passivation improves the PCE of textured perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells from 25.4% to 27.4%. Our findings provide critical insights for improved passivation of metal halide perovskite surfaces and the fabrication of highly efficient and stable perovskite-based single-junction and tandem solar cells.

The performance of perovskite solar cells with inverted polarity (p-i-n) is still limited by recombination at their electron extraction interface, which also lowers the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of p-i-n perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells. A MgF x interlayer with thickness of ~1 nanometer at the perovskite/C 60 interface favorably adjusts the surface energy of the perovskite layer through thermal evaporation, which facilitates efficient electron extraction and displaces C 60 from the perovskite surface to mitigate nonradiative recombination. These effects enable a champion open-circuit voltage of 1.92 volts, an improved fill factor of 80.7%, and an independently certified stabilized PCE of 29.3% for a monolithic perovskite-silicon tandem solar cell ~1 square centimeter in area. The tandem retained ~95% of its initial performance after damp-heat testing (85°C at 85% relative humidity) for >1000 hours.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin Ömer Seyfettin’in And adlı öyküsünde yer alan şiddet olgusu hakkındaki görüşlerini tespit etmektir. Araştırma, Tuşba Kaymakamlık makamından araştırma izni alındıktan sonra 2021 yılı Ocak ayında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Van ili Tuşba ilçesine bağlı İsmail Hakkı Tonguç Ortaokulu 6-A sınıfında öğrenim gören 22 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden fenomenoloji (olgubilim) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında uzman görüşü alınarak geliştirilen ve açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmış, verilerin çözümlenmesinde ise içerik analizi yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin eserde yer alan şiddet sahnelerini beğenmedikleri, şiddet içeren bölümlerden etkilendikleri, bu bölümleri eserden çıkarmak istedikleri tespit edilmiştir.

Summary Cost-effective photovoltaics (PVs) require a high energy yield with a long system lifetime. However, both are adversely affected by temperature. Here, we assess the economic impact of thermal effects on PV systems by establishing a temperature-dependent levelized cost of energy (LCOE) model. Using this model, we introduce an equivalent ratio γ (with the unit of absolute efficiency %/K) as a new metric that quantitatively translates the LCOE gain obtained by reducing the module temperature ( T m o d ) to an equivalent absolute power conversion efficiency increase. The substantial value of γ motivates us to investigate the root causes of heating in solar cells and modules, with a focus on crystalline-Si (c-Si) PVs, given its market dominance. To link the heat analysis with T m o d , we establish and validate an opto-electronically coupled thermal model to predict T m o d . This modeling approach enables the quantification of possible ways to mitigate undesired heating effects.

Bu araştırmada, EBA TV üzerinden yapılan Türkçe dersleriyle ilgili öğrencilerin görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel veriler bulunduğundan ötürü karma yöntem ve bu veriler aynı anda toplandığı için ise karma yöntem desenlerinden eş zamanlı desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Adıyaman il merkezindeki iki farklı ortaokulun 5, 6, 7 ve 8. sınıfında bulunan toplam 275 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, öğrencilerin görüşlerine başvurmak için araştırmacı tarafından bir anket hazırlanarak Google Forms üzerinden öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın hem nicel verileri hem de nitel verileri betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın nicel verileri, SPSS 21 programı kullanılarak frekans analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel sonuçlarına göre öğrenciler, EBA TV'de gerçekleştirilen Türkçe derslerinin kendilerine katkısının olduğunu, Türkçe derslerini izlemekten keyif aldığını, dersleri yeteri kadar takip edebildiğini, etkinliklerin yeterli olduğunu düşünmekte ancak ders süresinin ve soru sayısının yetersiz olduğunu düşünmektedir. Araştırmanın nitel sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin olumlu görüşlerinden yola çıkılarak, EBA TV’deki Türkçe dersleri hakkında faydalı, etkili, öğretici güzel bir uygulama gibi kodlar elde edilmiş; olumsuz görüşlerinden ise yetersiz süre, hızlı anlatım, soru soramama ve öğretmen değişikliği gibi kodlar elde edilmiştir.

Türk edebiyatının önemli isimlerinden olan Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, edebiyat dünyasına çok yönlü kişiliğiyle damga vurmuştur. Tiyatro alanı da Necip Fazıl’ın bu çok yönlü kişiliğinin yansımalarından biridir. Necip Fazıl’ın başta şiir olmak üzere diğer türlerde işlediği temalar genel olarak tiyatrolarında da görülür. Onun yaşamında önemli bir yere sahip olan dini algı, tiyatro eserlerinde de önemli yer tutar. Necip Fazıl, şiirlerinde olduğu gibi tiyatrolarında da mistik ve metafizik algıyı kullanarak derinlik oluşturur. Kısakürek, eserlerinin çoğunda dini ve tasavvufi yapıyı diğer temalarla birlikte işler. O, İslamiyet’i davası olarak görerek hareket eder. O, bazı ideolojileri eleştirerek milli tarihe yönelir. Toplumdaki çöküntülere de yer veren Kısakürek, gelecek nesillere yol göstermeyi hedefler. O, Türkiye’de imanlı nesiller yetiştirmeyi amaç edinir. Necip Fazıl, dini ve tasavvufi hususlarla beraber genellikle nefis mücadelesi, ölümsüzlük, kader, keramet, insan-ı kâmil gibi temaları olarak işler. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, tiyatro eserlerinde yer alan dini ve tasavvufi temaların içinde Allah (C.C), önemli yer tutar. O, Allah’ın kudret, güç, ihsan, azamet gibi vasıflarından çokça söz eder. Kısakürek herhangi bir sıkıntı karşısında Allah’a sığınmanın gerekli olduğunu ifade eder. O, nefse karşı adeta savaş açarak nefsin istek ve arzularına yenik düşmemeye çalışır. Necip Fazıl’ın ölümü; korku, özlem ve acı gibi duygular ile birlikte ele alır. O, bazı tiyatro eserlerine ölüm temasını, geçmişte yaşadığı bazı olaylardan yola çıkarak kurgular. Kısakürek’teki tasavvuf anlayışı insan-ı kâmil, keramet, hikmet, ilahi aşk gibi temalarla beraber irdelenir. Bu çalışmada amaç, Necip Fazıl’ın tiyatrolarında yer alan din ve inançla ilgili temaların incelenmesidir.

Metal halide perovskites have emerged in recent years as promising photovoltaic materials due to their excellent optical and electrical properties, enabling perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with certified power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) greater than 25%. Provided radiative recombination is the dominant recombination mechanism, photon recycling – the process of reabsorption (and re-emission) of photons that result from radiative recombination – can be utilized to further enhance the PCE toward the Shockley–Queisser (S-Q) theoretical limit. Geometrical optics can be exploited for the intentional trapping of such re-emitted photons within the device, to enhance the PCE. However, this scheme reaches its fundamental diffraction limits at the submicron scale. Therefore, introducing photonic nanostructures offer attractive solutions to manipulate and trap light at the nanoscale via light coupling into guided modes, as well as localized surface plasmon and surface plasmon polariton modes. This review focuses on light-trapping schemes for efficient photon recycling in PSCs. First, we summarize the working principles of photon recycling, which is followed by a review of essential requirements to make this process efficient. We then survey photon recycling in state-of-the-art PSCs and propose design strategies to invoke light-trapping to effectively exploit photon recycling in PSCs. Finally, we formulate a future outlook and discuss new research directions in the context of photon recycling.

Highly efficient perovskite solar cells (PSCs) fabricated in the classic n-i-p configuration generally employ triphenylamine-based hole-transport layers (HTLs) such as spiro-OMeTAD, PTAA, and poly-TPD. Controllable doping of such layers has been critical to achieve increased conductivity and high device performance. To this end, LiTFSI/tBP doping and subsequent air exposure is widely utilized. However, this approach often leads to low device stability and reproducibility. Departing from this point, we introduce the Lewis acid tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane (TPFB) as an effective dopant, resulting in a significantly improved conductivity and lowered surface potential for triphenylamine-based HTLs. Here, we specifically investigated spiro-OMeTAD, which is the most widely used HTL for n-i-p devices, and revealed improved power conversion efficiency (PCE) and stability of the PSCs. Further, we demonstrated the applicability of TPFB doping to other triphenylamine-based HTLs. Spectroscopic characterizations reveal that TPFB doping results in significantly improved charge transport and reduced recombination losses. Importantly, the TPFB-doped perovskite devices retained near 85% of the initial PCE after 1000 h of storage in the air, while the conventional LiTFSI-doped device dropped to 75%. Finally, we give insight into utilizing other similar molecular dopants such as fluorine-free triphenylborane and phosphorus-centered tris(pentafluorophenyl)phosphine (TPFP) by density functional theory analysis underscoring the significance of the central boron atom and fluorination in TPFB for the formation of Lewis acid-base adducts.

Stacking solar cells with decreasing band gaps to form tandems presents the possibility of overcoming the single-junction Shockley-Queisser limit in photovoltaics. The rapid development of solution-processed perovskites has brought perovskite single-junction efficiencies >20%. However, this process has yet to enable monolithic integration with industry-relevant textured crystalline silicon solar cells. We report tandems that combine solution-processed micrometer-thick perovskite top cells with fully textured silicon heterojunction bottom cells. To overcome the charge-collection challenges in micrometer-thick perovskites, we enhanced threefold the depletion width at the bases of silicon pyramids. Moreover, by anchoring a self-limiting passivant (1-butanethiol) on the perovskite surfaces, we enhanced the diffusion length and further suppressed phase segregation. These combined enhancements enabled an independently certified power conversion efficiency of 25.7% for perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells. These devices exhibited negligible performance loss after a 400-hour thermal stability test at 85°C and also after 400 hours under maximum power point tracking at 40°C.

The antisolvent dripping time during spin-coating of CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI3) strongly impacts film morphology as well as possible formation of the intermediate precursor phase, and – consequently – device performance. Here, we use in situ photoluminescence (PL) to directly monitor the fast-occurring changes during MAPbI3 synthesis. These measurements reveal how the ideal timing of the antisolvent leads to homogeneous nucleation and pinhole-free films. In addition, these films show significantly reduced nonradiative recombination with 1.5 orders of magnitude difference in absolute PL quantum yield compared to films where no antisolvent is applied. Low-temperature PL measurements confirm that antisolvent treatment reduces the number of trap states presumably in the bulk material. However, if the antisolvent is dripped late, heterogeneous nucleation via the orthorhombic (MA)2(DMF)2Pb3I8 intermediate phase leads to a needle-like morphology that can be correlated to a red-shifted in situ PL signature. Crystalline silicon (c-Si) solar cells comprise more than 95% of the photovoltaics (PV) market. At wafer-scale, this technology is gradually reaching its practical power conversion efficiency (PCE) limit. Therefore, new performance-driven and scalable alternatives must be developed to further increase the cost-competitiveness of PV. Stacked PV absorbers with decreasing bandgaps in a tandem configuration utilize more efficiently the solar spectrum, and can thereby overcome the single-junction efficiency limit of conventional solar cells. Specifically, the monolithic, two-terminal tandem solar cell implementation promises a simple, yet high-performance technology with high market-relevance. Metal-halide perovskite absorbers have attracted broad interest in their application as the top cell of such a c-Si based tandem solar cell configuration. Practically, the perovskite and c-Si subcells need to be electronically coupled, where the interfacial structure should guarantee efficient charge recombination of majority carriers (collected from each subcell), without inducing minority-carrier recombination. In this article, we review the mechanism underlying efficient recombination junctions, and discuss available materials systems for perovskite-based tandems, as well as additional requirements such as efficient light coupling into the subcells, processing compatibility, scalability of materials and methods, and stability. We extend our discussion beyond c-Si to thin-film bottom cell technologies such as low-bandgap perovskites and chalcogenides. We conclude with an outlook on considerations for industrialization of such interfacial structures.

Üstbiliş, bireyin bilişsel süreçlerini, önceki ve sonraki öğrenmelerini, deneyimlerini temel alıp planlama, izleme ve değerlendirme aşamalarını kullanarak öğrenme sürecini yönetebilmesidir. Bu nedenle Türkçe öğretmenlerinin lisans döneminde bu beceriye yönelik farkındalık kazanmaları önem taşımaktadır. Bu doğrultuda araştırmada, Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının üstbilişsel farkındalık düzeylerinin sınıf seviyesi, cinsiyet ve akademik başarı değişkenlerine göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın örneklemini 156 Türkçe öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak daha önce Schraw ve Dennison (1994) tarafından geliştirilen ve Akın ve diğerleri (2007) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan “Bilişötesi Farkındalık Envanteri” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde, bağımsız örneklemler t-testi ve tek yönlü varyans (ANOVA) analizi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgulara göre Türkçe Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının üstbilişsel farkındalıklarının sınıf seviyesi değişkeni açısından farklılık gösterdiği fakat cinsiyet ve akademik başarı değişkeni açısından farklılık göstermediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

This study aimed at estimating the transport dynamics of a single severe acute respiratory syndrome corona-virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)-laden droplet of 1 to 500 μm in diameter at a wind speed from 1 to 4 m/s. Motion dynamics of SARS-CoV-2-laden respiratory droplets under calm or turbulent air conditions were quantified using a combined model. Dalton's law was implemented to estimate their evaporation. One-factor-at-a-time procedure was applied for the sensitivity analysis of model of deposition velocity. The transport distance of the single virus ranged from 167 to 1120 m as a function of the droplet size, wind speed, and falling time. The evaporation times of the droplets ≤ 3 and ≤ 14 μm in diameter were shorter than their settling times from 1.7 m in height at midnight and midday, respectively. Such droplets remained in the air for about 5 min as the droplet nuclei with SARS-CoV-2. The minimum transport distance of the respiratory droplets of 1-15 μm varied between 8.99 and 142 m at a wind speed range of 1-4 m/s, based on their deposition velocity. With their short transport distance, the larger droplet (30 to 500 μm) was not suspended in the air even under the windy conditions. The deposition velocity was found most sensitive to the droplet diameter. The droplets 15 μm in diameter completely evaporated at midday and the droplet nuclei with the single virus can travel a minimum distance of 500 m under a horizontal wind speed of 3 m/s.

Summary Transparent electrodes and metal contacts deposited by magnetron sputtering find applications in numerous state-of-the-art optoelectronic devices, such as solar cells and light-emitting diodes. However, the deposition of such thin films may damage underlying sensitive device layers due to plasma emission and particle impact. Inserting a buffer layer to shield against such damage is a common mitigation approach. We start this review by describing how sputtered transparent top electrodes have become archetypal for a broad range of optoelectronic devices and then discuss the possible detrimental consequences of sputter damage on device performance. Next, we review common buffer-layer materials in view of their processing-property-performance relationship. Finally, we discuss strategies to eliminate the buffer-layer requirement by implementing alternative, soft-landing deposition techniques for top electrodes. Our review highlights the critical issue of sputter damage for optoelectronic devices, formulates mitigation strategies, and provides cross-field learnings that can lead to more efficient and reliable optoelectronic devices aimed for commercialization.

Eleştirel düşünme, hayatın her alanında farklı bir bakış açısı geliştirebilmek, fikirleri sorgulayabilmek, bilgileri ve düşünceleri ayırt edebilmek için kullanılan çok önemli bir beceridir. Bu becerinin geliştirilmesi amacıyla şu ana kadar birçok farklı yol ve yöntem denenmiştir. Son zamanlarda öğrencilerin eleştirel düşünme, sorgulama, eleştirel konuşma gibi birçok becerisine katkısı olduğu düşünülen akademik tartışma modeli adında (accountable talk) bir model ortaya konulmuştur. Bu bağlamda, araştırmada akademik tartışma modelinin ortaokul 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin eleştirel düşünme eğilimlerine etkisinin olup olmadığını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, nicel araştırma desenlerinden ön-test ve son-test kontrol gruplu yarı-deneysel desenle tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın uygulama kısmı Van ili Tuşba ilçesine bağlı Hasan Ali Yücel Ortaokulunda yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, yansız atama yoluyla seçilen ve bir deney (N=21) bir de kontrol (N=19) grubundan oluşan toplam 40 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Giancarlo ve Facione tarafından geliştirilen ve Özdemir tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan “Kaliforniya Zihinsel Güdülenme Ölçeği (Eleştirel Düşünme Eğilimi Ölçeği)” kullanılmıştır. Verilerinin analizinde, “SPSS 20” istatistik paket programına başvurularak gruplar arasındaki farkı anlamak için ilişkisiz t-testi; grupların kendi içindeki farkı anlamak için ilişkili t-testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, akademik tartışma modelinin uygulandığı deney grubu öğrencilerinin eleştirel düşünme eğilimlerinde, mevcut programla ders işleyen kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre önemli bir artış olduğu ve anlamlı bir farklılığın olduğu tespit edilmiştir., Critical thinking is a very important skill that is used to develop a different perspective in all areas of life, to question ideas, to distinguish information and thoughts. In order to develop this skill, many different ways and methods have been tried so far. Recently, a model named academic discussion model (accountable talk) has been introduced, which is thought to contribute to many skills of students such as critical thinking, questioning, and critical speaking. In this context, it was aimed to determine whether the academic discussion model had an effect on the 8th grade students' critical thinking dispositions. The research was designed with a quantitative quantitative research design, pre-test and post-test control group quasi-experimental design. The application part of the study was carried out in Hasan Ali Yücel Secondary School in the Tusba district of Van. The study group of the research consists of a total of 40 students, who are chosen through unbiased assignment, consisting of an experiment (N=21) and a control (N=19) group. The "California Mental Motivation Scale (Critical Thinking Disposition Scale)" developed by Giancarlo and Facione and adapted into Turkish by Özdemir was used as a data collection tool in the study. In the analysis of the data, using the "SPSS 20" statistical package program, the unrelated t-test to understand the difference between the groups; The correlated t-test was used to understand the difference within the groups. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a significant increase and a significant difference in the critical thinking dispositions of the experimental group students in which the academic discussion model was applied compared to the control group students who were teaching with the current program.
