In the face of huge collision risks posed by the Starlink mega-constellation, the detection of unpredictable orbital maneuvers of Starlink satellites emerges as an important topic of Space Situational Awareness (SSA). The ephemerides released by the SpaceX company on the Space-track website provide a timely and valuable opportunity for addressing this problem. Based on the mean orbital elements extracted from Starlink ephemerides released at the end of 2023, the maneuver strategies, including maneuver frequency and characteristics of Starlink satellites in different orbital phases, are discussed, and the start time and end time with error ranges of confirmed maneuvers are acquired. It is found that operational satellites in Shell 1 perform an orbit maintenance maneuver approximately every 2 days, while those in Shells 2–5 execute a maneuver roughly once a day. Moreover, the parking satellites maneuver approximately every 0.25 days on average. As for satellites in the climbing orbit and the deorbiting orbit, they maneuver around every 0.1 days. Background Astrometeorology is an ancient science, that deals the relationship between planet position and weather events. Several Indian studies proved that Astrometeorology could be a complementary method to improve numerical weather forecast accuracy. Since 2011, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is conducting astrometeorological research and devised a novel concept “Planet Activeness Chart”. The principle is that “planets’ influence on a location’s weather varies throughout the day and may be negative, inactive, active, highly active and rule depending on their angle to that location”. Most existing astromet studies used planetary position to predict the occurrence of weather events (yes/no) but failed to capture intensity of the event. The “Planet Activeness Concept” could address this limitation and enhance forecast usability. Methods A study was carried out from 2018 to 2021 with six years data (2011-16) to verify the “Planet activeness” on hourly rainfall and windspeed events in Tamil Nadu. The frequency of planet activeness for a weather event was calculated by dividing the number of times a planet was in the selected activeness during a specific event category by the total number of events. Results The results indicated that negative state of the Sun, active status of the Saturn, Uranus, Venus and Moon were positively associated with rainfall intensity. The windy planet Mercury and Neptune at active state, the Sun and Saturn at rule state, Venus and Uranus at negative state, Jupiter at highly active state had significant influence on the increased wind speed. Conclusion Applying the planet activeness concept with azimuth could enhance the accuracy and usability of Astrometeorological forecasts. This study establishes a mathematical relationship between planet activeness and weather as a first step to understand the science behind this relationship. It is suggested to study different combination of planet activeness during a weather event for more insights.

Subject and Purpose. The present paper is concerned with sea wave diagnostics by signals from artificial satellites in a bistatic radar scheme using the grazing radio-wave propagation and a diffuse component of the signal reflected off the sea surface. The possibility is considered to expand the range of sea state diagnostics by using satellite emissions in different frequency regions. Methods and Methodology. The research is based on the data of field experiments using over-the-horizon navigation satellites of the first (Transit) and second (GPS) generations. The data processing is by the methods of moving average and moving mean square deviation adopted because of the dynamic character of the experiments given the moving source presence. The sea surface state in a particular experiment is estimated by the diffuse component extracted from the total experimental signal. A comparative analysis of the diffuse component parameters is carried out by computer modeling at various wavelengths, source elevation angles and root- mean-squared wave heights. Results. For both satellite systems GPS and Transit, the experimental results show that in the calm and moderate states of the sea surface, the diffuse component intensity of signal fluctuations caused by sea waves differ significantly and fit in with the model upon the Rayleigh Roughness Criterion. On this basis, an advantage can be taken from the satellite emissions in various frequency ranges to expand the scale of sea state diagnostics. The higher-frequency region therewith offers a more accurate yet more limited scale of the sea state measured. The addition of lower-frequency emissions expands the scale of sea state diagnostics towards the severe states. Conclusions. It has been determined that the range of sea state diagnostics can be expanded by using satellite emissions in different frequency regions.

Most global navigation satellite systems (GNSSs) ephemeris representations require straightforward, albeit specialized algorithms to compute the transmitter position at a time of interest. As potential positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) signal sources expand beyond medium Earth orbit, these representations must be modified to capture the dynamics of the host platforms. This work introduces the use of B-splines as a flexible framework to represent transmitter ephe-merides that are applicable to any orbital or airborne regime and host platform. With this approach, the user equipment implements a simple, generic algorithm to compute transmitter positions from the B-spline representation that require no orbit or platform-specific models. Here we propose a B-spline ephemeris approach in which we compare the required navigation message length and fit accuracy to the legacy Global Positioning System (GPS) broadcast for use with medium Earth orbit transmission. The aim of this article is to analyze the dynamics of the Linus satellite of the asteroid (22) Kalliope. New results have been obtained, and now they are being published. New observations of the satellite were made at the Caucasian Mountain Observatory of Sternberg Astronomical Institute (SAI MSU) from October 2021 to March 2022. The obtained astrometric results are presented in the article. Based on the updated set of observations, the parameters of the satellite's orbit were redetermined. With the addition of new observations an increase in the accuracy of ephemerides is shown. A new attempt was made to determine the precession of the satellite's orbit caused by the compression of a rapidly rotating asteroid. The goal was to determine the dynamic compression of the central body. The entire observation interval is divided into groups. From the observations of each group the position of the axis of the satellite's orbit was found. Changing the position of the axis gives the desired precession. Several case studies show that the axis position of such observation groups is determined very unreliable. The reason is strong correlation between the determinable parameters with limited observation accuracy. In 1915 while the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition's vessel Endurance was icebound in the Weddell Sea, lunar occultation timings were carried out in order to rate the chronometers and thereby find longitude. The original observations have been re-analysed using modern lunar ephemerides and catalogues of star positions. The times derived in this way are found to differ by an average of 20 s from those obtained during the expedition using positions given from the Nautical Almanac and introduces an additional offset of the true positions to the east of those recorded in the log. The article presents new results on motion modeling and creation of ephemeris of satellites of asteroids based on observations. In previous work on the project, ephemeris of 62 satellites were built. Since then, new satellites of asteroids have been discovered and new observations have been published. The article gives the orbital parameters of four new satellites found from observations. Satellite ephemeris updates based on new observations are reported. An important and necessary characteristic of ephemeris is their accuracy. In this paper, we show how ephemeris accuracy estimates are made, and examples of estimates are given. An important circumstance has been revealed: for a large number of satellites, the accuracy of ephemeris has degraded by now to such an extent that the ephemeris have become practically unusable. The first innovative Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) sensor aboard the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (SNPP) satellite has been in operation for 10 years since its launch on 28 October 2011. The second VIIRS sensor aboard the first Join Polar Satellite System (JPSS-1) satellite has been in operation for 4 years since its launch on 18 November 2017, which became NOAA-20. Well-geolocated and radiometrically calibrated Level-1 sensor data records (SDRs) from VIIRS are crucial to numerical weather prediction (NWP) and Level-2+ environmental data record (EDR) algorithms and products. The high quality of Level-2+ EDRs is a requirement for the continuity of NASA Earth science data records (ESDRs) and climate data records (CDRs), one of the two objectives of the SNPP mission and one of the three elements in the JPSS mission objective. The other objective of the SNPP mission is risk reduction for the follow-on JPSS missions. This paper summarizes the on-orbit geolocation calibration and validation (Cal/Val) activities for both VIIRS sensors onboard SNPP and NOAA-20 in the past 10 years. These activities include nominal geolocation Cal/Val activities, risk reduction activities, and improvements for the on-orbit VIIRS sensor operations. After these activities, sub-pixel geolocation accuracy is achieved. Nadir equivalent geolocation uncertainty is generally within 75 m (1-σ), or 20% imagery band pixels, in either the along-scan or along-track direction for both SNPP and NOAA-20 VIIRS sensors. The worst 16-day measured geolocation errors (radial, 3-σ) are 280 m and 267 m, respectively, in the latest SNPP and NOAA-20 VIIRS data collections, which are better than the required accuracy of 375 m (radial, 3-σ). Geodetic precession is the most significant relativistic effect in the rotation of celestial bodies. In this work, for the first time, this relativistic effect is determined in the rotation of dwarf planets (Ceres, Pluto and its satellite Charon) and asteroids (Pallas, Vesta, Lutetia, Europa, Ida, Eros, Davida, Gaspra, Steins and Itokawa) of the Solar System with known values of their rotation parameters. Calculations of the values of their geodesic precession are carried out using the method for studying any bodies of the Solar System that have a long-term ephemeris. As a result, geodetic precession values for these celestial bodies were calculated in Euler angles with respect to their own systems. The theoretical values obtained for the geodetic precession of the objects under study can be used for a numerical study of their rotation in the relativistic approximation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

New observations of the eclipsing binary system V1848 Ori were carried out using the V filter resulting in a determination of new times of minima and new ephemeris were obtained. We presented the first complete analysis of the system’s orbital period behavior and analysis of O-C diagram done by the GA and MCMC approaches in OCFit code. The O-C diagram demonstrates a sinusoidal trend in the data; this trend suggests a cyclic change caused by the LITE effect with a period of 10.57 years and an amplitude of 7.182 minutes. It appears that there is a third body with mass function of f (m3) = 0.0058 M⊙ in this binary system. The light curves were analyzed using the Wilson-Devinney code to determine some geometrical and physical parameters of the system. These results show that V1848 Ori is a contact W UMa binary system with the mass ratio of q = 0.76 and a weak fillout factor of 5.8%. The O’Connell effect was not seen in the light curve and there is no need to add spot.

The possibilities to improve values of the satellite orbit elements by employing the pseudo-ranges and differences of carrier phase frequencies measured at many reference GPS stations are analysed. An improvement of orbit ephemeris is achieved by solving an equation system of corrections of the pseudo-ranges and phase differences with the least-squares method. Also, equations of space coordinates of satellite orbit points expressed by ephemeris at fixed moments are used. The relation between the accuracy of the pseudo-ranges and phase differences and the accuracy of the satellite ephemeris is analysed. Formulae for estimation of the influence of the ephemeris on the measured pseudo-ranges and phase differences and for prediction of the accuracy of the pseudo-ranges and phase differences were obtained. An influence of the covariance between single orbit parameters on the accuracy of the pseudo-ranges and phase differences is detected.

We performed the first light curve analysis of GW Leo and a new ephemeris is obtained for QT Boo. The light curve investigation also yields that the system GW Leo is a contact W UMa eclipsing binary with a photometric mass ratio of q = 0.44 ± 0.03, a fillout factor of f = 59.6%, and an inclination of 50.77° ± 0.09°. Due to the O'Connell effect which is known as asymmetries in the light curves' maxima, a cold spot is employed along with the solution. The photometric and physical parameters of GW Leo were determined (e.g., Mh = 1.373 ± 0.024, Mc = 0.604 ± 0.027, Rh = 1.261 ± 0.041, Rc = 0.909 ± 0.039, and a() = 2.553 ± 0.004). According to the light curve solution results, we suggest that GW Leo is an A-type W UMa binary system. We also calculate the distance of GW Leo from the distance modulus formula as 483.5 ± 41 pc, which is in a good agreement to the quantity measured by the Gaia EDR3 using the binary systems' parallax. We investigate solar and lunar motions in the Seonmyeong (SM) calendar that was compiled by Xu, Ang of the Tang dynasty (A.D. 618-907) in China and used for 71 years from 822 to 892. This calendar was also used in Korea during the Goryeo dynasty (A.D. 918-1392) and in Japan for 823 years from 862 to 1684, the longest time among the three countries. Referring to historical documents of China, Korea, and Japan, we analyze the calendrical methods of calculating the daily apparent movements of the Sun and Moon in the SM calendar, which were considered their unequal motions, and compare the movements with the results of modern calculations for three periods in the Goryeo dynasty: 919, 1155, and 1392 years (i.e., the beginning, middle, and ending of the dynasty, respectively). We find that a quadratic equation was employed to obtain the daily movement of the Sun using physical quantities on the instant of each solar term, which was tabulated in its calendar book such as the Goryeosa (History of the Goryeo Dynasty). For quantitative analysis, we compute the mean absolute difference (MAD) of the daily apparent movement between the SM calendar and modern calculations and obtain 0.33, 0.30, and 0.31 arcmin for the periods of 919, 1155, and 1392 years, respectively. Meanwhile, we find relatively large MAD values in the daily movement of the Moon: 0.217, 0.284, and 0.240 degrees for each corresponding year. An interesting point is that the MAD value in the lunar motion shows the maximum in 1155 years, and is the minimum in the solar motion. In conclusion, we believe that this study will facilitate in the understanding of the SM calendar further, particularly in the calendrical methods of calculating sunrise, sunset, and eclipse times.

In a first time the acupuncturist imitates the emperor by placing the seven Governors on the crown of the Zodiac of a celescope (like an armillary sphere) in accordance with the Heaven of the present; thanks to the ephemeris he can easily find their positions on the intellectual Zodiac (the ecliptic) according to the place, the date, and the hour. In a second time he can establish the analogy between the 360° of the Zodiac made up of 12 Signs and all the points of the 12 principal meridians traveled in order by the tide of qi during a complete cycle of 12 chinese hours, according to the rule of the 12 Earthly Branches. In this way the acupuncturist can realize the communication between the patient and the Heaven of the present. If he knows the place, the date, and the hour of the patient's birth he can also realize the communication between the patient and the Heaven of his birth thanks to the ephemeris. If he treats the points corresponding to the positions of the Sun (yang) and the Moon (yin) at the time of the birth he will connect the patient to the dao of his destiny. The purpose of this article is to show concretely how to accomplish acupuncture to realize the communication between the patient and the Heaven of his birth and the Heaven of the present. Empirical models of the thermospheric density are routinely used to perform orbit maintenance, satellite collision avoidance, and estimate time and location of re‐entry for spacecraft. These models have characteristic errors in the thermospheric density below 10% during geomagnetic quiet time but are unable to reproduce the significant increase and subsequent recovery in the density observed during geomagnetic storms. Underestimation of the density during these conditions translates to errors in orbit propagation that reduce the accuracy of any resulting orbit predictions. These drawbacks risk the safety of astronauts and orbiting spacecraft and also limit understanding of the physics of thermospheric density enhancements. Numerous CubeSats with publicly available ephemeris in the form of two‐line element (TLEs) sets orbit in this region. We present the Multifaceted Optimization Algorithm (MOA), a method to estimate the thermospheric density by minimizing the error between a modeled trajectory and a set of TLEs. The algorithm first estimates a representative cross‐sectional area for several reference CubeSats during the quiet time 3 weeks prior to the storm, and then estimates modifications to the inputs of the NRLMSISE‐00 empirical density model in order to minimize the difference between the modeled and TLE‐provided semimajor axis of the CubeSats. For validation, the median value of the modifications across all CubeSats are applied along the Swarm spacecraft orbits. This results in orbit‐averaged empirical densities below 10% error in magnitude during a geomagnetic storm, compared to errors in excess of 25% for uncalibrated NLRMSISE‐00 when compared to Swarm GPS‐derived densities. Plain Language Summary: Empirical atmospheric density models underestimate the increase in thermospheric density observed during times of intense solar and geomagnetic activity. This demonstrates our limited understanding of the physics of the thermosphere during these times and limits our ability to accurately predict the orbits of both operational satellites and space debris. We present a method to correct these density underestimations by using an orbital propagator and correcting the inputs to the NRLMSISE‐00 density model to minimize orbit error. We apply medians of these adjustments along the orbit of the Swarm spacecraft and compare resulting corrected densities to GPS‐derived densities collected by Swarm. The BDS-3 preliminary system was declared functional on December 27, 2018. It enables positioning service on a global scale. This study conducts a comprehensive investigation of the BDS-3 global service from the perspective of positioning, including satellite ephemeris, benefits of the new BDS-3 satellites, and the new signal effect on three positioning modes: single-point positioning (SPP), precise-point positioning (PPP) and real-time kinematic (RTK). First, the broadcast and precise ephemeris availabilities of 18 BDS-3 Medium Earth orbit (MEO) satellites from January to June 2019 are investigated. Due to the shorter operational timespans of BDS-3 satellites, their broadcast and precise ephemeris files retrieved from Multi-GNSS Experiment (MGEX) have 1.2–19.4% and 10.9–13.77% discontinuities, respectively, while the discontinuities of BDS-2 satellite broadcast and precise ephemeris are only 0.1 and 2.1%. Second, the BDS-3 satellite orbit accuracies and clock precisions are significantly improved, i.e., below 0.5 m and 1.82 ns compared to 2 m and 2.91 ns for BDS-2 because of the inter-satellite links of BDS-3 satellites. Third, an average of 4.4–5.7 BDS satellites can be observed at stations located in North/South America, and 8.9 for the European station FFMJ located in Germany after the BDS-3 global system announcement. As a result, continuous positioning is feasible in these regions. As to four Asia–Pacific stations, their SPP accuracies are improved by 12.1–60.2% compared to those of the BDS-2-only solution. Meanwhile, the PPP and RTK convergence times of Asia–Pacific stations are also shortened. Last but not least, the new B1C signal does not bring convincing improvement to PPP and RTK positioning accuracies in this study, due to the limited number of available B1C new signals at this time. In the context of future human spaceflight exploration missions, Rendezvous and Docking (RVD) activities are critical for the assembly and maintenance of cislunar structures. The scope of this research is to investigate the specifics of orbits of interest for RVD in the cislunar realm and to propose novel strategies to safely perform these kinds of operations. This paper focuses on far rendezvous approaches and passively safe drift trajectories in the Ephemeris model. The goal is to exhibit phasing orbit requirements to ensure a safe far approach. Ephemeris representations of Near Rectilinear Halo Orbits (NRHOs) were derived using multiple-shooting and adaptive receding-horizon targeting algorithms. Simulations showed significant drift and overlapping properties for phasing and target orbits of interest, motivating the search for safe natural drift trajectories and using impact prediction strategies. In satellite geodesy, the motion of artificial satellites has a crucial importance and the satellite's position is the core point in the geodetic network. The simplicity of the broadcast ephemeris model directly determines the rate and efficiency of real-time navigation and positioning. GNSS broadcast message is transmitted in ECEF system either (GLONASS) or are Keplerian-like orbital elements (GPS, BeiDou, Galileo). The main aim of this paper is to describe the magnitude of Keplerian elements and correction coefficients of the navigational satellite changes based on a GPS satellite. The author examines six Keplerian elements and six correction coefficients for three different intervals: 2-hour, 1-day and 5-day intervals for periods of 9 days, a year and 10 years respectively. The analysis shows the varying behaviour of the time-series of the analysed components on the basis of the on-board GPS message, both random-like and repetitive (seasonal) trajectory time series. Kepler Concordia, a new scientific and musical instrument enabling players to explore the solar system and other data within immersive extended-reality (XR) platforms, is being designed by a diverse team of musicians, artists, scientists and engineers using audio-first principles. The core instrument modules will be launched in 2019 for the 400th anniversary of Johannes Kepler's Harmonies of the World, in which he laid out a framework for the harmony of geometric form as well as the three laws of planetary motion. Kepler's own experimental process can be understood as audio-first because he employed his understanding of Western Classical music theory to investigate and discover the heliocentric, elliptical behaviour of planetary orbits. Indeed, principles of harmonic motion govern much of our physical world and show up at all scales in mathematics and physics. Few physical systems, however, offer such rich harmonic complexity and beauty as our own solar system. Concordia is a musical instrument that is modular, extensible and designed to allow players to generate and explore transparent sonifications of planetary movements rooted in the musical and mathematical concepts of Johannes Kepler as well as researchers who have extended Kepler's work, such as Hartmut Warm. Its primary function is to emphasise the auditory experience by encouraging musical explorations using sonification of geometric and relational information of scientifically accurate planetary ephemeris and astrodynamics. Concordia highlights harmonic relationships of the solar system through interactive sonic immersion. This article explains how we prioritise data sonification and then add visualisations and gamification to create a new type of experience and creative distributed-ledger powered ecosystem. Kepler Concordia facilitates the perception of music while presenting the celestial harmonies through multiple senses, with an emphasis on hearing, so that, as Kepler wrote, 'the mind can seize upon the patterns'. The commemoration of the ephemeris in the school offers us one of the fundamental spaces in which the senses of the nation are narrated. At present we observe that in the province of Misiones, similar strategies were implemented to build their own identity through the official institution of an event. In the present article we intend to investigate about meanings and meanings in relation to the production of identity staged in the commemoration of November 30 „Day of the Flag ofMisiones‟and „Dayof the HeroofMisiones: Andrés Guacurarí y Artigas‟.Thiscommemoration is incorporated into Provincial ephemeris calendar with a mandatory nature and with the highest hierarchy for its staging in all missionary schools. For this, in the first place, we will position about our places of enunciation; then, we relate some moments of the conformation of the anniversary of November 30. Finally, we share some scenes about the start-up of two devices within the framework of this event.

We investigate the astronomical almanacs of the Manchukuo state, which lasted for 14 years, from 1932 to 1945. We examine their contents and analyze the accuracy of the time data by using the almanacs for the years from 1933 to 1945. We find that the calendar of the Qing dynasty in China, Shixianshu, provided the name of the almanac. In addition, the reference location of the time data was Xinjing (now known as Changchun) and the standard meridian was changed from 120 ∘ E to 135 ∘ E , starting with the almanac of 1937. We also find that sunrise and sunset times were recorded only on days of the 24 solar terms, for several cities, whereas moonrise and moonset times were recorded daily, but only for Xinjing. Moreover, only days were recorded (i.e., the hours are not recorded) in the almanacs of 1933 and 1934 for the 24 solar terms. To estimate the accuracy, we first extract 19 kinds of time data and classify them into four groups: rising and setting, solar term, phases of the Moon and eclipses. Then, we determine the mean absolute difference (MAD) of the time data between the almanacs and modern calculations performed using the DE405 ephemeris. Even though most of the time data are recorded in minutes, we compute the data in seconds. We find that the MAD values are 0.44, 0.42, 0.27 and 0.44 min for the time data of the four respective groups. We believe that our findings will contribute to the study of the astronomical almanacs of Korea, Japan and Taiwan, which were published during this period. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Data of solar coordinate such as longitude and latitude of the ecliptic, declination, and right ascension are the data that are often involved in astronomical reckoning and practical islamic astronomy. These data are often found in ephemeris tables such as the ephemeris of Hisab Rukyat by Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Nautica Almanac and others. One of the algorithms used in the preparation of ephemeris data tables is the Jean Meeus Higher Accuracy algorithm. Calculation of ephemeris data of solar coordinates using these algorithms starts with counting Julian Day (JD) and Julian Day Ephemeris (JDE). By using advanced algorithms based on VSOP87 theory, we can then calculate the longitude and latitude of the solar ecliptic, the distance of the earth to the Sun, the true obliquity (angle between the celestial equator and the ecliptic), the right ascension and declination, the equation of time and the Sun's semi diameter. The calculation of the solar coordinate in this paper is for June 7, 2017 at 19.00 WIB or 12.00 GMT. The results will then be compared with the data of solar coordinate in Ephemeris Hisab Rukyat 2017 at the same time.

In this paper, we investigate the observations of Venus in daytime that are recorded in the Goryeosa (History of the Goryeo Dynasty, A.D. 918-1392). There are a total of 167 accounts of such observations in this historical book, spanning a period of 378 yr (from 1014 to 1392). These include six accounts where the days of the observation are not specified and two accounts where the phase angles are outside the calculation range of the equation used in our study. We analyze the number distribution of 164 accounts in 16 yr intervals covering the period from 1023 to 1391. We find that this distribution shows its minimum at around 1232, when the Goryeo dynasty moved the capital to the Ganghwa Island because of the Mongol invasion, and its maximum at around 1390, about the time when the dynasty fell. In addition, we calculate the azimuth, altitude, solar elongation, and apparent magnitude of Venus at sunset for 159 observations, excluding the eight accounts mentioned above, using the DE 406 ephemeris and modern astronomical algorithms. We find that the average elongation and magnitude of Venus on the days of those accounts were ~40° and -4.5, respectively, whereas the minimum magnitude was -3.8. The results of this study are useful for estimating the practical conditions for observing Venus in daylight with the naked eye and they also provide additional insight into the corresponding historical accounts contained in the Goryeosa.

The major method used in this study is processing of data arrays in order to obtain statistical data. Statistical methods of research use the parameter of frequency to characterize the recurrence of events in time and space. Clearly, if a phenomenon (factor) is accompanied by other events, it is possible that it is somehow related with an event. It may be a cause of the event as well. In such a case, the event itself is treated as a consequence. Even by a cursory examination, it has been discovered that there is an undoubted connection between major earthquakes and some particular configurations of the planets, Moon and Sun, emerging on the celestial sphere, due to high frequency of both these events being present at the same time. Lunar and solar tides, earthquakes, parades of planets are those cosmic events whose impact is clearly obvious on Earth. However, parts of Earth’s surface where tides occur are involved in the complex movement caused by the rotations of Moon around Earth, Earth around its axis and Sun, and this complex movement is often not taken into account by the people who study earthquakes. Earth is involved in the motion of the gyroscopic type, which causes a wide range of different physical fields and influences, such as gyroscopic and Coriolis forces, centrifugal and centripetal forces, gravitational forces, moments of inertia, etc.Tidal lunar impacts include such kinematic characteristics as kinetic moment, moment of forces, tidal forces, kinetic energy, etc. The subject of the article is calculation of these effects for points (sections) on the Earth spheroid’s surface in the coordinate system associated with center of Moon and Earth masses called barycenter. Various methods for calculating tidal lunar impacts can be used, depending on the chosen coordinate system and calculating method. In particular, the work presents the calculations of moments of forces relative to the axis (line) or the center (point).
