Resumo Metadados são considerados elementos fundamentais na Ciência da Informação e suas características, aplicações e tipologias vêm sendo bastante estudados pelos pesquisadores da área, principalmente a partir dos anos 2000. Esta pesquisa busca trazer para a Ciência da Informação e propor o estudo de um novo tipo de metadado, o chamado metadado de negócio. Metadados de negócio são o contexto do negócio, na linguagem dos atores do negócio, por trás dos dados e podem ser encontrados em qualquer processo de trabalho nos diferentes setores das diversas instituições. Considerando a falta de literatura brasileira sobre este tipo de metadado na Ciência da Informação, objetiva-se trazer o conceito, aplicações, exemplos e estudos sobre metadados de negócio, por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica. A pesquisa é de natureza teórica e conceitual, caracterizando-se como pesquisa exploratória. Desse modo, observam-se nos metadados de negócio características bastante pertinentes aos conceitos e princípios da Ciência da Informação. Isso permite concluir que este conceito pode e deve ser inserido na área, principalmente nos estudos relacionados à Arquitetura da Informação, Sistemas de Informação e Recuperação da Informação. This article aims to bring a new typology of metadata to Brazilian Library and Information Science studies, the so-called business metadata. Business metadata are the business context behind data and can be found in any business process in the different sectors of diverse institutions. Considering the lack of literature about this kind of metadata in Library and Information Science, using literature research, this paper aims to bring its concept, applications, examples and studies about business metadata. This research is theoretical and conceptual nature, characterized as exploratory research. Business metadata could be observed as very pertinent to the concepts and principles of Library and Information Science, which allows concluding that this concept can and should be studied by the area, mainly in the studies related to Information Architecture, Information Systems and Information Retrieval.

Enterprise information systems implemented in the organizations are critical assets to provide competitive advantage in changing sectoral conditions and continuity of business processes and management of enterprise resources. In this regard, information security approaches and assessment techniques are used to examine the maturity level of enterprise and determine the risks and potential solutions for enterprise information systems. This study aims to measure information systems in terms of information security and risks. On the other hand, it is also aimed to describe the potential effects of assessment techniques and tools for state organizations to manage their critical assets. In order to achieve these aims, information systems of one of the large scale health sector organizations in Turkey were assessed via an international assessment tool that is adapted to Turkish conditions in some parts like legal regulations. The results obtained through assessment tool provide the current maturity level of the organization and remark the points that should be improved for the security of information systems and the critical components such as risks, processes, people, IT reliance and technology. Za cel badań przyjęto próbę ustalenia, czy i w jaki sposób przedsiębiorstwa innowacyjne zapewniają ochronę strategicznym zasobom informacji. W warstwie teoretycznej rozważań zdefiniowano podstawowe pojęcia dotyczące bezpieczeństwa informacji w przedsiębiorstwie. Warstwę empiryczną natomiast stanowi relacja z wywiadu diagnostycznego w trzech wybranych przedsiębiorstwach sektora małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw (MŚP), w toku którego starano się zidentyfikować faktyczne procedury i działania na rzecz przeciwdziałania ewentualnej nieuprawnionej zmianie, niepożądanemu wykorzystaniu, zniszczeniu, utracie istotnych informacji. Z diagnozy wynika, że zarządzanie bezpieczeństwem informacji w badanych organizacjach wymaga usprawnień. Materiał badawczy pozwolił sformułować wnioski i rekomendacje dotyczące zarządzania bezpieczeństwem informacji. W działania naprawcze należy włączyć menedżerów informacji, którzy zajmą się edukacją kadry, audytem zastanego systemu zarządzania informacją, opracują, pomogą wdrożyć i udoskonalić prototyp systemu zarządzania bezpieczeństwem informacji w firmie. The purpose of the study was to determine whether and how innovative companies provide protection for key information resources. In the theoretical part of the discussion the basic concepts of information security in an enterprise were defined. The practical part is the result of the diagnostic interview in three selected SMEs, in which efforts were made to identify actual procedures and actions reducing possible unauthorized changes, undesirable use, destruction or loss of relevant information. The diagnosis shows that the management of information security in the researched institutions requires improvement. The research material provided the basis for formulating conclusions and recommendations regarding information security management. Corrective actions should incorporate information management professionals who will audit the existing information management system, and educate staff in this area; they will also develop, implement and improve the prototype of the information security management model within the company.

Este artigo apresenta definições, características básicas, arquitetura e tipos de portais corporativos identificados na literatura especializada, constituindo-se em parte da revisão de literatura de projeto de pesquisa em andamento, cujo objetivo geral é analisar métodos para avaliação de usabilidade de portais corporativos Concepts of a new technology known as corporate portal, whose purpose is to provide easy access to enterprise digital information. This paper presents definitions, main characteristics, architecture and different kinds of corporate portals found in specialized literature, being part of the literature review of an ongoing research project, whose main objective is to propose a usability evaluation methodology applied to corporate portals.
