Lojistik uzmanlık gerektiren gıda tarım ürünlerinde kayıp, hasar ve zayiat oranları oldukça yüksektir. Bu açıdan bakıldığında hem tedarik zinciri süreçlerinde hem de lojistik süreçlerinde gıda-tarım ürünleri etkin ve verimli yönetilmelidir. Etkin ve verimli yönetilmenin temel esasları ise izlenebilir ve şeffaf bir yapının tesis edilmesidir. Bu hususların başarılı bir şekilde gerçekleşmesinin temelinde ise teknoloji kavramı bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada tarım gıda sektöründe tedarik zinciri faaliyetlerinde ve lojistik faaliyetlerde endüstri 4.0 teknolojilerinin açıklanması ve yerli literatüre kazandırılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç kapsamında son yıllarda hayatımıza giren Endüstri 4.0 teknolojilerinin tarım-gıda tedarik zincirlerinde ve lojistik faaliyetlerinde kullanım süreci detaylı bir şekilde ele alınmaktadır. Tüm sektörleri ciddi etkisi altına alan Endüstri 4.0 sanayi devriminin tarım gıda sektörüne etkisini ele almak ve literatürde yer alan boşluğu doldurmak çalışmanın önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Çalışmanın araştırma kısmında yerli ve yabancı literatür detaylı bir şekilde taranmıştır. Ayrıca işletmelerin gerçekleştirmiş oldukları uygulamalar incelenerek, örneklerle açıklanmıştır. Sonuç olarak ise endüstri 4.0 teknolojileri tarım gıda tedarik zincirini önemli ölçüde etkilemekte, lojistik faaliyetlerde etkin, verimli, şeffaf, izlenebilir bir yapının oluşmasında kilit rol oynadığı görülmektedir.

Endüstri 4.0'ın ortaya çıkışından bu yana on yılı aşkın bir süre geçmiş olmasına rağmen, hala bu devrimin getirileri, riskleri ve geçişi kolaylaştıran ya da zorlaştıran faktörlerin anlaşılmasına yönelik çalışmalara ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Endüstri 4.0 teknolojilerinin getirileri, zorlaştırıcı, kolaylaştırıcı etkenler ve riskler literatür taraması ve içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla 26 adet makale çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre; belirtilen birçok farklı faktörün yanı sıra bazı başlıklar getiriler ve engeller noktasında ön plana çıkmıştır. Endüstri 4.0’ ın mevcut getirilerinden başlıcası verimlilik artışı, kitlesel özelleştirme ve maliyetlerdeki azalıştır. Temel engeller ise; standartların ve referans mimarinin eksikliğidir. Tüm bu sonuçlardan yola çıkarak bu çalışmada Endüstri 4.0 teknolojilerinin getirileri, zorlaştırıcı ve kolaylaştırıcı etkenler ve riskler ekseninde kavramsal bir çerçeve önerilmiştir.

Customers have started to want the more customized products and services recently. therefore, logistics applications should be able to respond to customer's every requirement at the highest level. On the other hand, it should be done with lowest costs that are possible. Thus, optimization applications that utilized by logistics activities need to the systems which can create excellent solutions and can continuously update these solutions. Within this scope, it can be seen that there is a correlation between creating effective solutions for the problems and speed, effectivity, and productivity of these systems. Some strong evidence shows that these technologies and systems will have become capable to conduct these logistics operations. Consequently, almost all of them will have been autonomous systems in the near future. This study focusses on developments and approaches in the fields of logistics and supply chain and it tried to show the new roles of the logistics activities that will be played in the near future. In this study, observation, and analysis methods are used, the progress that recorded by industries that demand to logistics services in this subject were taken into consideration in addition to logistics service providers. In response to the increasing food demand due to the growing global population, this study has designed a fully automated incubator machine based on a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to enhance efficiency in the egg production sector. To align with Industry 4.0 technologies, this machine controls temperature and humidity using fuzzy logic, one of the artificial intelligence methods. The incubator is capable of meeting the specific temperature and humidity needs for the incubation processes of various types of bird eggs. It has been tested under different conditions, and its performance has been examined in detail. The analysis results show that the fuzzy logic-based temperature and humidity control systems on the PLC successfully reached the set reference values and maintained them continuously and stably after initial fluctuations. In conclusion, the design and control of an automated incubation machine with a PLC-based fuzzy logic controller were successfully accomplished. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Industry 4.0, the fourth industrial revolution, focuses on the increasing digitization and interconnection of goods, products, value chains, and business models. It aims to transform traditional industries into smart industries by incorporating innovative technologies, connecting people, things, and machines globally. This revolution creates smart factories and manufacturing environments by integrating physical assets into interconnected digital and mechanical processes. A growing domain the Internet of Things (IoT), has changed the way people communicate and interact with things around them, turning common objects into connected objects, providing a universal connection to the Internet. The Internet of Things is a rapidly growing technology that greatly contributes to the realization of Industry 4.0. By connecting the physical world to the digital world, IoT seeks to penetrate our daily environment of people and things "anytime, anywhere, anything and anyone", ideally using any network and service. IoT healthcare, quality control, logistics, energy, agriculture and manufacturing Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) provides efficient and sustainable production by breaking new ground for a better understanding of the production process. The article explains the concepts of IoT, IIoT, and Industry 4.0, while also delving into the opportunities, threats, and challenges associated with their implementation in a detailed manner. İnsanlık karmaşık sosyal, ekonomik ve çevresel sorunlarla karşı karşıyadır. 2010’lu yıllarda mevcut sorunlara yönelik artan çözüm arayışları yeşil ve dijital dönüşümü hedefleyen politika gündemlerinin ortaya çıkmasını sağlamıştır. Birleşmiş Milletler 2015 yılında Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Amaçlarını (SKA) ortaya koymuş ve uluslararası alanda etkili bir politika çerçevesi meydana getirmiştir. Aynı dönemde farklı ülkelerin yeşil ve dijital dönüşümü merkeze koyan açılımları arasında belki de en çok öne çıkanı, 2011 yılında Almanya’da, yeni yıkıcı dijital teknolojilerle endüstriyel üretimin, istihdamın yapısını ve küresel konfigürasyonunu önemli ölçüde değiştirebilecek yaklaşımıyla Endüstri 4.0 olmuştur. Endüstri 4.0’a karşılık 2016 yılında Japonya Toplum 5.0 açılımını ortaya koymuştur. 2021 yılında ise Avrupa Birliği, Toplum 5.0 söylemi ile uyumlu olan Endüstri 5.0 kavramı ile yeni bir gündem oluşturmuştur. Bu yaklaşımlarda dijitalleşme ve dijital dönüşüm mevcut çok yönlü ekonomik ve sosyal sorunların çözümüne yönelik olarak merkezi bir konumda yer almaktadır. Öte yandan, dünyada dijitalleşmenin mevcut seyri, bahsi geçen açılımların öngördüğünün aksi yönde sonuçlar da üretmektedir. Dijital dönüşümün sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın sağlanması etkili bir araç olabilmesi için dijitalleşmeden kaynaklanan mevcut sorunların anlaşılması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, sürdürülebilir kalkınma, dijitalleşme, dijital dönüşüm kavramları, Endüstri 4.0, Toplum 5.0 ve Endüstri 5.0 kavramları ele alınmış ve ilgili dokümanlar analiz edilmiştir. Ardından mevcut dijitalleşme trendinin sosyal ve çevresel yansımaları ve neden olduğu meydan okumalar değerlendirilmiştir.

- Abstract
The aim of the study is to determine the Industry 4.0 conceptual awareness levels of vocational school students. It is also aimed to determine whether Industry 4.0 conceptual awareness levels differ according to data such as gender and type of education. The population consists of 246 students selected by convenience sampling method from the students enrolled in Osmaniye Korkut Ata University at associate degree level in the 2022-2023 academic year. In the study, validity and reliability analysis of the scale, normality analysis, t-test and ANOVA test were conducted. According to result of the analyzes, it was determined that the students' Industry 4.0 conceptual awareness levels showed statistically significant differences according to gender, the programme they studied, and the department they studied; while there was no significant difference according to the field of study, type of education, out-of-school employment status, GPA, and the type of high school graduated from. It was observed that the average of 39 statements measuring Industry 4.0 Conceptual Awareness levels (x: 2.4922) was at a low level. It was seen that the awareness levels of the participants were the highest in titles such as “artificial intelligence”, “virtual reality”, “smart production technologies”, and the awareness levels were the lowest in titles such as “advanced automation”, “additive manufacturing”. Günümüzde, sürekli değişen ve gelişen teknoloji, bireyler ve işletmeler için birçok uygulamayı beraberinde getirmektedir. Ancak bu uygulamaları tedarik zinciri ve üretim süreci içerisine entegre etmek, ek maliyet oluşturmanın yanı sıra ek işgücü ihtiyacı da oluşturabilmektedir. Bu gibi nedenler teknolojiyi benimseme konusunda firmaların kararlarını etkileyebilmektedir. Bu bilgilere dayalı olarak çalışmanın amacı, Endüstri 4.0 uygulamalarının tedarik zinciri performansına olan etkisini test etmektir. Bu doğrultuda toplam 103 üretici firmaya anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Toplanan anketlerin sonuçları, SPSS İstatistik 22.0 (IBM Corp.; Armonk, NY, ABD) programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Firmalardan toplanan verilere, açımlayıcı faktör analizi uygulanarak boyutlar elde edilmiştir. Bu veriler daha sonra yüzde – frekans analizi ve regresyon analizi testlerine tabi tutularak bulgular elde edilmiştir. Yapılan Regresyon analizi sonuçlarına göre yapay zekâ ve bulut bilişim boyutlarının maliyet performansı boyutu üzerinde, bulut bilişim boyutunun müşteri performansı boyutu üzerinde anlamlı ve pozitif bir etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Recently, constantly changing and developing technology has brought many applications for individuals and businesses. However, integrating these applications into the supply chain and production process may create additional costs as well as create the need for additional labor. Such reasons may affect the decisions of companies in adopting technology. This study aims to test the effect of Industry 4.0 applications on supply chain performance. In accordance with this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to a total of 103 manufacturers. Data obtained from surveys collected were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences Statistics 22.0 (IBM Corp.; Armonk, NY, USA) program. By using factor analysis, the dimensions were obtained. Obtained data was then subjected to tests for percent-frequency analysis and regression analysis and obtained findings. As a result of the regression analyses, it is found that there are positive and significant impacts of artificial intelligence and cloud computing dimensions on the consumer performance dimension and cloud computing dimension on the cost performance dimension. Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, Akıllı Fabrikalarda gerçekleştirilen çizelgeleme yöntemlerini incelemektir. Yöntem: Bu çalışmada, veri kaynağı olarak, “Google Scholar” üzerinden ulaşılan metin türünde veriler kullanılmıştır. Veri Seti, 2015-2022 yılları arasında yayınlanmış olan ve ‘Scheduling in Smart Factory’ anahtar kelimesini içeren araştırma makalelerinden oluşmaktadır. Çalışma gerçekleştirilirken, ‘Scheduling in Smart Factory’ anahtar kelimesi ile doğrudan ilgili araştırmalar analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Akıllı Fabrikalarda gerçekleştirilen çizelgeleme yöntemlerinin incelenmesi çalışmasında, çizelgeleme problemlerinin çözümünde, Genetik Algoritma, Çoklu Robot Önleyici Görev Çizelgelemesi, Parçacık Optimizasyonu, Ağlar Arası Birleştirme ve Çizelgeleme gibi birçok yöntemin kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir. Önerilen bu yöntemlerin performanslarını değerlendirmek için duyarlılık analizi, hata kurtarma analizi ve karşılaştırma analizi gibi metotlar tercih edilmiştir. Industry 4.0 has been a revolutionary wave of change over the past decade that has had a variety of impacts on companies. Institutional adoption of the upcoming changes is one of the most important factors in this scenario. In this context, in order for companies to adapt to this wave of change, it is extremely important that they correctly evaluate their current situation in Industry 4.0 and accordingly identify their needs and deficiencies and determine the areas they need to develop correctly. The Turkish white goods sector is one of the leading sectors of the Turkish economy on a global scale with its international competitive power and brands, creating high added value in production and exports, providing positive foreign trade balance. Due to this feature, it is one of the sectors where Industry 4.0 and digitalization will be applied successfully. The first step for companies in the white goods sector, which is deeply affected by technological developments, to be successful in digital transformation is to evaluate their situation and thus determine their starting points. In this study, a measurement and evaluation system consisting of four main criteria and twenty-three subcriteria was designed with the aim of measuring the digital transformation competencies of companies. Seven companies operating in the white goods sector were scored according to the determined criteria, and the digital transformation competencies of the companies were evaluated with the help of MACHBETH and EDAS methods, which are multi-criteria decision-making methods. The evolution of societies from the agricultural society to the industrial society, from the information society to the information society, manifests itself not only in manufacturing systems, but also in areas where education is inevitable, such as education, health and the environment. In literature, it is possible that you can observe the concepts of Health 4.0, Environment 4.0, Water 4.0, Logistics 4.0 and Education 4.0. In this study, Education 4.0 will be examined and the possible changes in education systems will be underlined. With Education 4.0, already known education systems merges with the technological developments and it transforms into innovation dominated structure. For this reason, in this study the components of Education 4.0 will be explained and in this context, information on how to perform the systemic transformation will be realized. Industry 4.0 is transforming and reshaping the production methods in all sectors, and significant-changes are also anticipated in television broadcasting in the near future. Artificial intelligence and robotic systems, virtual reality applications, big data, the Internet of Things, and cloud computing, among other components of Industry 4.0, are expected to enable automation in television broadcasting, diversify and expand broadcast content. However, it is also foreseen that employment issues will arise. The aim of this research is to elucidate the views of television professionals on contemporary television broadcasting, their perspectives on the evolving form of television broadcasting in the emerging world of Industry 4.0, and whether automation in broadcasting creates employment concerns. To achieve this objective, data was obtained through in-depth interviews using qualitative research techniques. Eight media professionals from different fields of television broadcasting, which could be affected by the nature of their work by developments in Industry 4.0, were selected using purposive sampling for the interviews. According to the findings, television workers in Turkey find contemporary television broadcasting technically successful but consider it lacking in terms of content quality. Participants believe that media quickly adapt to new technologies, and while some job sectors may disappear in Industry 4.0, new areas of expertise will emerge. The results show that most participants believe that television will be different from its current form in the near future as we enter Industry 4.0, and it will continue to exist in the future. Information and communication technology is developing rapidly and many disruptive technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data analytics and artificial intelligence are emerging. These technologies permeate the manufacturing industry and enable the fusion of the physical and virtual worlds through cyber-physical systems (CPS), which marks the advent of the fourth stage of industrial production (i.e. Industry 4.0). Industry 4.0 encompasses a large number of digital technologies affecting manufacturing businesses. The widespread application of CPS in production environments is making production systems increasingly intelligent. However, there is still a lack of comprehensive research on the applications of technologies enabling Industry 4.0 in manufacturing lifecycle processes. In order to advance research on the application of Industry 4.0 in the manufacturing industry, firstly, a conceptual framework for Industry 4.0 is presented in this study. Secondly, sample scenarios related to front-end technologies presented in this framework are explained. In addition, Industry 4.0 core technologies and their possible applications for Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing systems are reviewed. The aim of this study is to determine the effect levels on organizational agility abilities as a result of the implementation of Industry 4.0. Organizational agility was examined in terms of four basic criteria: responsiveness, flexibility, quickness and competence in this study. In addition, twelve sub-criteria have been defined in relation to the basic criteria. In order to determine the sub-criteria, the related studies were first examined conceptually and then expert opinions were used. These experts consist of five engineers working in textile companies for the ready-made garment group. In the study, FUCOM was used to determine the effect levels of the criteria. In the results of study, it is thought that Industry 4.0 has the most impact on quickness, followed competence, flexibility and responsiveness among the organizational agility. When all the criteria are evaluated, the three agility capabilities that the Industry 4.0 process has the most impact on businesses are identified as "short operation time", "operational efficiency", "product quality". This study was conducted in order to determine how well the organizational behavior issues adapt to the process in the transformation that has been experienced with industry 4.0. In this context, the levels considering industry 4.0 and organizational behavior issues together in academic studies were evaluated. Regarding scope of the research, the studies in which industry 4.0 and organizational behavior issues were examined together were taken from the Web of Science database. The bibliometric analysis of the data that was obtained was performed through employing the WOSviewer 1.6.18 program. As of 02 May 2023, 21422 studies related to industry 4.0 have been identified in the Web of Science database. Only 546 (2.5%) of these studies were identified as studies examining industry 4.0 and organizational behavior issues together in the field of management. In the literature, it has been concluded that industry 4.0 is mostly studied with technical issues; organizational behavior issues, in other words, the human aspect, are in the background, and there is no parallelism between the speed of development of industry 4.0 and that of the studies regarding organizational behavior issues. The automotive industry in smart factories is constantly developing depending on technology. Depending on the developing technology, security problems come to the fore. Industry 4.0 and cyber security are widely used in automotive sector applications as well as in all areas of our lives. These applications pose security threats to automotive users and drivers. Attacks on vehicle software, especially by autonomous vehicle users, endanger passengers and vehicle safety. It should take the necessary precautions to be protected against cyber-attacks and be equipped to solve the problem. The rapid change of technology in smart factories and with industry 4.0 brings new security vulnerabilities and new cyber attacks. The hostility arising from inter-sectoral competition has lost its value compared to previous periods and has left its authority to cyberattacks, threats, and damaging moves against system security. Industry 4.0 is also known as the Industrial Revolution Industry, which covers a specific production technology and the interests of many groups, and exchanges data without human use and innovative system. With this industrial revolution, which also plays an active role in the establishment of a smart factory, more useful work examples are obtained as it ensures that each data is collected and analyzed in the best way in the production area. In this study, cyber attacks in the automotive industry and cyber threats in automobile factories are examined. In addition, layered protection has been proposed by investigating how to take precautions against these attacks and threats.

Endüstri 4.0 kavramı 2011 yılında Hannover Fuarında tanıtıldığından bu yana araştırmacılar tarafından oldukça fazla ilgi görmüştür. Hızlıca yapılan yayınlarda Endüstri 4.0’ın bileşenlerinin, faydalarının, avantaj ve dezavantajlarının, KOBİ’ler için öneminin ve ülkeler arası karşılaştırmalarının ele alınmasına rağmen, konunun kavranmasında bazı eksiklikler olduğu görülmektedir. Alan yazın incelendiğinde hem Türkiye başta olmak üzere az gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerin hem de dünya genelindeki küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmelerin henüz Endüstri 4.0 kavramına uzak oldukları, farkında olmadıkları, uygulamada zorluklar yaşadıkları vurgulanmaktadır. Hatta Türkiye’nin halen üçüncü sanayi devrimini yaşadığını ileri süren araştırmacılar mevcuttur. Bu bağlamda konunun akademisyenler arasında konuşulan, üst düzey olarak algılanan bir konu olmaktan çıkıp, atölye düzeyine indirgenmesi için daha pragmatist düşünürlere ve aktörlere ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. This research was carried out to determine whether Industry 4.0 tools used in hotel businesses have an effect on the perception of service quality. In this context, nine hotels using digital technologies were determined in Istanbul, Isparta, Antalya and Trabzon, and a face-to-face survey was conducted with 313 customers who stayed at these hotels for at least one night. In the research, 'Interest in the Use of Technology' and 'Servqual' scales were used. As a result of the study, it was found that the perceived service quality for the physical elements and reliability of the hotels using digital technologies is high. Hotels using the latest technology provide faster and higher quality service to their customers, make their customers happy and satisfied, the behaviors of the employees make the customers feel safe and enable the customers to perceive the visible and tangible elements of the hotel with higher quality. In addition, it has been revealed that hotel businesses using industry 4.0 tools are preferred by customers who have the most innovation perception and follow technology, and these customers have high service quality perceptions regarding the physical elements of the hotel and its reliability. Another result that emerged as a result of the research was that using industry 4.0 tools affected the behavior of hotel customers to come back to the hotel, and it was seen that those who prefer these hotels consist of customers who have knowledge about industry 4.0. In the historical process, the world has witnessed many changes and transformations and experienced important turning point. In recent years, technological developments that affect everyone in social life trigger this change. Although the development process of technology is based on very old times, it reaches different extent in the 21st century. What makes this process different is that developing technologies intertwine and cause mutual interactions in physical and digital dimensions. This process, which is defined as Industry 4.0; With its components such as the internet of things, artificial intelligence, robots, cyber-physical systems, 3D printers, big data, cloud computing, simulation, virtual reality, it deeply affects all social life and labor markets. While these social transformations offer some opportunities, they also cause problems such as inequality, unemployment, non-standard and precariousness employment. These problems increase the distribution struggle within the society and reveal the importance of unions and organization. Therefore, this study aims to explain the basic components of Industry 4.0, which leads to significant technological developments, to examine its positive and negative effects on labor markets, and to examine the roles and new organization strategies that the trade unions will assume in the face of these transformations. For this purpose, it has been determined that the injustice, inequality, unemployment, insecurity and poverty that Industry 4.0 has created and will create will increase the fight for distribution, and accordingly, the trade unions, which play an important role in creating a fairer society, as in the past industrial revolutions, will also be based on knowledge and technology in this process. In the research, it was aimed to improve the awareness of vocational school students about the concepts related to Industry 4.0 and/or Society 5.0. In the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, activities lasting 7 weeks were held with students who were studying at the vocational school and had not yet taken the "Vocational Training in Workplace" course. The activities included learning activities to develop 21st-century skills to prepare students for Society 5.0 before entering the workplace. The study was based on the single-group pretest-posttest model, one of the quantitative research methods. The participants of the research consisted of 125 students studying at vocational school. An awareness questionnaire prepared by the researchers was used as a data collection tool. As a result of the research, it was found that the awareness of the students increased statistically significantly. In addition, there was no significant difference according to grade level.
