Abstract Inspired by recent observations of $$T_{c\bar{s}0}(2900)^0$$ T c s ¯ 0 ( 2900 ) 0 in the $$D_s^+ \pi ^-$$ D s + π - invariant mass distribution of $$B^0 \rightarrow \bar{D}^0 D_s^+ \pi ^-$$ B 0 → D ¯ 0 D s + π - decay and $$T_{c\bar{s}0}(2900)^{++}$$ T c s ¯ 0 ( 2900 ) + + in the $$D_s^+ \pi ^+$$ D s + π + invariant mass distribution of $$B^+ \rightarrow D^- D_s^+ \pi ^+$$ B + → D - D s + π + decay, we investigate the $$T_{c\bar{s}0}(2900)^{++}$$ T c s ¯ 0 ( 2900 ) + + contribution to the $$B^+ \rightarrow K^+ D^+ D^-$$ B + → K + D + D - decay in a molecular scenario, where we consider $$T_{c\bar{s}0}(2900)^{++}$$ T c s ¯ 0 ( 2900 ) + + as a $$D^{*+} K^{*+}$$ D ∗ + K ∗ + molecular state. Our estimations indicate that the fit fraction of $$T_{c\bar{s}0}(2900)^{++}$$ T c s ¯ 0 ( 2900 ) + + in the $$B^+ \rightarrow K^+ D^+ D^-$$ B + → K + D + D - is about $$13\%$$ 13 % , and its signal is visible in the $$D^+ K^+$$ D + K + invariant mass distribution. With the involvement of $$T_{c\bar{s}0}(2900)^{++}$$ T c s ¯ 0 ( 2900 ) + + , the fit fractions of $$\chi _{c0}(3915)$$ χ c 0 ( 3915 ) and $$\chi _{c2}(3930)$$ χ c 2 ( 3930 ) may be much different with the ones obtained by the amplitude analysis in Ref. [Aaij et al. Phys. Rev. D 102:112003, 2020], which may shed light on the long standing puzzle of $$\chi _{c0}(3915)$$ χ c 0 ( 3915 ) as the conventional charmonium.

Changes in neurovascular unit components and their interactions play a crucial role in epileptogenesis and the pathological process of epilepsy. Currently, there is a lack of animal models that can accurately reflect the etiological impact of cerebrovascular lesions on epilepsy. In this study, we constructed cyclin-dependent kinase 5 conditional knockout mice in Cspg4 (pericyte marker)-positive cells using the Cre-LoxP system. The results revealed that this strain of mice exhibited significant seizure behaviors and epileptiform brain waves, loss of hippocampal and amygdala neurons, astrogliosis, decreased pericyte coverage, and reduced AQP4 polar distribution. Herein, we have developed a novel mouse model of spontaneous epilepsy, providing a critical animal model for studying the involvement of neurovascular unit factors in the development and progression of epilepsy.

Abstract In order to control the deformation of surrounding rock in deep high-stress and intense-mining roadways, taking a deep coal roadway with continuous deformation as an example, the characteristics of crustal stress, coal strength, and mining influence of roadway are obtained by underground tests. The combined failure mechanism of coal roadway surrounding-rock is revealed by differential stress of deep and shallow anchor cables. We propose that the improvement of surrounding rock control for coal roadway is adopting the coupling control technology of anchoring and unloading. The stress distribution and evolution laws of lateral surrounding rock of unloading holes are obtained by numerical simulation and theoretical calculation, and reasonable unloading-hole spacing of 4.0 m is comprehensively determined. A mechanical model of roadway roof beam under fixed support at both ends is constructed and the important role of anchor cable beam-truss in controlling the stability of coal roadway is obtained. The rationality of coupling control technology of anchoring and unloading and parameters has been verified by engineering test and mine pressure observation, providing technical references for surrounding rock control in deep intense-mining and large-deformation roadways.

This study evaluated the potential impact of climate change on the distribution of Forsythia suspensa, a valuable traditional Chinese medicinal plant, using the MaxEnt model integrated with Geographic Information System (GIS). By analyzing occurrence data from various databases and environmental variables including climate and soil factors, we forecasted the present and future (2050s and 2070s) habitat suitability of F. suspensa under different greenhouse gas emission scenarios (RCP8.5, RCP4.5, RCP2.6). Results indicated that the suitable habitats for F. suspensa were primarily located in North, East, Central, Northwest, and Southwest China, with a significant potential expansion of suitable habitats anticipated by the 2070s, particularly under the high emission scenario. The study identified precipitation and temperature as the primary environmental drivers impacting the distribution of F. suspensa. Furthermore, a northward shift in the centroid of suitable habitats under future climate scenarios suggested a potential migration response to global warming. This work provides crucial insights into the future conservation and cultivation strategies for F. suspensa amidst changing climatic conditions.

Summary: Background: Endovascular therapy (EVT) was demonstrated effective in acute large vessel occlusion (LVO) with large infarction. Revealing subgroups of patients who would or would not benefit from EVT will further inform patient selection for EVT. Methods: This post-hoc analysis of the ANGEL-ASPECT trial, a randomised controlled trial of 456 adult patients with acute anterior-circulation LVO and large infarction, defined by ASPECTS 3–5 or infarct core volume 70–100 mL, enrolled from 46 centres across China, between October 2, 2020 and May 18, 2022. Patients were randomly assigned (1:1) to receiving EVT and medical management or medical management alone. One patient withdrew consent, 455 patients were included in this post-hoc analysis and categorised into 4 subgroups by lower or higher NIHSS (< or ≥16) and smaller or larger infarct core (< or ≥70 mL). Those with lower NIHSS & smaller core, and higher NIHSS & larger core were considered clinical-radiological matched subgroups; otherwise clinical-radiological mismatched subgroups. Primary outcome was 90-day modified Rankin Scale (mRS). ANGEL-ASPECT is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT04551664. Findings: Overall, 139 (30.5%) patients had lower NIHSS & smaller core, 106 (23.3%) higher NIHSS & larger core, 130 (28.6%) higher NIHSS & smaller core, and 80 (17.6%) lower NIHSS & larger core. There was significant ordinal shift in the 90-day mRS toward a better outcome with EVT in clinical-radiological matched subgroups: lower NIHSS & smaller core (generalised OR, 1.76; 95% CI, 1.18–2.62; p = 0.01) and higher NIHSS & larger core (1.64; 1.06–2.54; 0.01); but not in the two clinical-radiological mismatched subgroups. Interpretation: Our findings suggested that in patients with anterior-circulation LVO and large infarction, EVT was associated with improved 90-day functional outcomes in those with matched clinical and radiological severities, but not in those with mismatched clinical and radiological severities. Simultaneous consideration of stroke severity and infarct core volume may inform patient selection for EVT. Abstract Motivated by the recently observed $$D_{s0}(2590)$$ D s 0 ( 2590 ) state by LHCb, we investigate the mass spectrum and the strong decay properties of the charmed-strange mesons within the Godfrey–Isgur model considering the coupled-channel effects. One finds that the $$D^*K^*$$ D ∗ K ∗ contributions to the mass shifts are large for all the charmed-strange states, which is maybe due to the spin-enhancement effect. Our results support that $$D_{s0}^*(2317)$$ D s 0 ∗ ( 2317 ) and $$D_{s1}(2460)$$ D s 1 ( 2460 ) could be interpreted as the $$D_{s}(1^3P_0)$$ D s ( 1 3 P 0 ) and $$D_{s}(1^3P_1)$$ D s ( 1 3 P 1 ) states with larger DK and $$D^*K$$ D ∗ K components, respectively, although the probabilities of the DK and $$D^*K$$ D ∗ K components for $$D_{s0}^*(2317)$$ D s 0 ∗ ( 2317 ) and $$D_{s1}(2460)$$ D s 1 ( 2460 ) are smaller than other theoretical predictions, which may be due to our neglect of the direct interaction of the meson components. Meanwhile, $$D_{s1}(2700)$$ D s 1 ( 2700 ) , $$D_{s1}(2536)$$ D s 1 ( 2536 ) , $$D^*_{s2}(2573)$$ D s 2 ∗ ( 2573 ) , $$D_{s1}^*(2860)$$ D s 1 ∗ ( 2860 ) , $$D_{s3}^*(2860)$$ D s 3 ∗ ( 2860 ) , and $$D_{sJ}^*(3040)$$ D sJ ∗ ( 3040 ) could be well interpreted as the $$D_s(2^3S_1)$$ D s ( 2 3 S 1 ) , $$D_s(1^1P_1)$$ D s ( 1 1 P 1 ) , $$D_s(1^3P_2)$$ D s ( 1 3 P 2 ) , $$D_s(1^3D_1)$$ D s ( 1 3 D 1 ) , $$D_s(1^3D_3)$$ D s ( 1 3 D 3 ) , and $$D_s(2^1P_1)$$ D s ( 2 1 P 1 ) states, respectively. Although the $$D_{s0}(2590)$$ D s 0 ( 2590 ) mass is about 50 MeV less than our prediction for the $$D_{s0}(2S)$$ D s 0 ( 2 S ) state, its width is still in good agreement with the one of $$D_{s0}(2S)$$ D s 0 ( 2 S ) . Therefore, $$D_{s0}(2590)$$ D s 0 ( 2590 ) state needs to be further confirmed by the experimental measurements, and the more precise information about $$D_{s0}(2590)$$ D s 0 ( 2590 ) will shed light on its assignment of $$D_{s0}(2S)$$ D s 0 ( 2 S ) . Furthermore, we predict the masses and the strong decay properties of the charmed-strange mesons with masses around 3 GeV, which would be helpful to experimentally search for these states.

Concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) columns, incorporating various types of concrete, are increasingly prevalent in engineering applications. This study develops a finite element (FE) model and a design methodology for rectangular dune sand-concrete-filled steel tube (DS-CFST) columns. Investigating the composite behavior of rectangular DS-CFST columns and the effects of different DS replacement ratios, the results indicate a reduction in the ultimate bearing capacity compared to traditional CFST columns, attributed to diminished confinement effects, particularly at higher DS replacement ratios. Analysis of different design factors, including concrete and steel strengths, steel ratio, and aspect ratio, assesses their impacts on axial load-bearing capacity and composite behavior. This analysis leads to the establishment of a design formula, validated through experiments and FE analysis. The formula's efficacy and conciseness are evaluated against current design codes, with a reliability study assessing sensitivity to fluctuations. The proposed formula demonstrates accurate predictions of the ultimate load-bearing capacity.

Aiming at the problems of controlling the large deformation and failure of surrounding rock of deep soft-broken coal roadway, the gob-side entry driving with narrow coal pillar in the working face mined on both sides of the deep soft-broken coal seam in a mine is taken as the engineering background, which is very difficult to control the surrounding rock. The main difficulties of surrounding rock of coal roadway control are analyzed, and the large deformation and failure mechanisms of surrounding rock of gob-side entry driving with narrow coal pillar are studied in FLAC3D numerical simulation software. The results show that the stress adjustment and unloading caused by the mining disturbance at the large height working face, the overlying roof load of gob-side entry driving is mainly borne by the solid coal. It is concluded that the peak stress area of surrounding rock in gob-side entry driving with narrow coal pillar is mainly located in solid coal and its depth of shoulder angle, and its vertical stress concentration factor is as high as 3.04. It is clarified that the roof shoulder angle in solid coal, coal pillar and the shallow plasticized surrounding rock in solid coal are the key control areas. It is characterized that the maximum extension range of plastic zone of roof, solid coal and coal pillar is about 5.88 m, 2.50 m and 3.00 m respectively, and the sub-regional asymmetric failure mechanisms of surrounding rock in gob-side entry driving with narrow coal pillar are revealed. The analysis clarified that the anchoring foundation of anchor cables and other supporting components should be located in a relatively complete elastic zone in the deep part of surrounding rock during roadway support. Based on this, the sub-regional combined support technology of anchor beam mesh support + channel steel anchor cable reinforcement + grouting modification is proposed. Engineering practice has proved that the high-strength support reinforcement and grouting modification measures have effectively improved the stress state of surrounding rock in gob-side entry driving with narrow coal pillar in deep coal rock mass that is soft, broken and prone to large deformation and failure, and the deformation of the roof and two sides of gob-side entry driving in the test section are controlled within 500 mm. It ensures the safe and orderly mining of the working face with large-mining height and provides a reliable way for the effective control of the large deformation of surrounding rock in such deep soft-broken coal roadway.

Abstract In response to the control problems of large-deformation roadways in close-distance coal seams, taking a typical roadway under irregular goafs and residual coal pillar in deep close-distance coal seams as the background, the characteristics of mine pressure and key difficulties in surrounding rock control of roadway are explored and an improvement strategy for controlling surrounding rock is proposed. The stress expression in roadway floor under the influence of residual coal pillar is derived by theoretical calculation. The peak lines of deviatoric stress and vertical stress in roadway after the mining of the upper coal seam are obtained by numerical simulation. The roadway is divided into two key zones: ordinary zone and disturbance zone by residual coal pillar, and the disturbance range of roadway below residual coal pillar is determined to be 44.60 m. It reveals the differential, asymmetric, and non-uniform distortion and failure laws of roadway at different positions under irregular goafs and residual coal pillar. The differential control technology named asymmetric support in ordinary zone of roadway and combined support and drilling pressure relief in disturbance zone below residual coal pillar is proposed. The feasibility of differential pressure relief and control technology has been verified through on-site engineering test, which ensures the safety and stability of roadway and provides technical references for surrounding rock control in similar deep and complex roadways.

Abstract We investigate the mass spectrum and the decay properties of the $$B_s$$ B s mesons within the screened nonrelativistic quark model and the $$^3P_0$$ 3 P 0 model. Our results suggest that the $$B_{sJ}(6064)$$ B sJ ( 6064 ) and $$B_{sJ}(6114)$$ B sJ ( 6114 ) states, as the first solution of the recently LHCb measurements, could be explained as the $$B_s(1^3D_3)$$ B s ( 1 3 D 3 ) and $$B_s(1^3D_1)$$ B s ( 1 3 D 1 ) , respectively. In addition, the $$B_{sJ}(6109)$$ B sJ ( 6109 ) and $$B_{sJ}(6158)$$ B sJ ( 6158 ) states, as the second solution of the LHCb measurements, could be explained as the $$B_{s2}^\prime (1D)$$ B s 2 ′ ( 1 D ) and $$B_{s1}(2P)$$ B s 1 ( 2 P ) , respectively. Meanwhile, the $$B_{s1}(5830)$$ B s 1 ( 5830 ) could be interpreted as the candidate of the $$B_{s1}(1P)$$ B s 1 ( 1 P ) . We also calculated the decay properties of the other excited $$B_s$$ B s mesons with the predicted masses, which should be helpful for the experimental searching in future.

In response to the shortcomings of the small support scope of single anchor cable and failure to fully utilize the joint anchoring for surrounding rock, this study summarizes the classification of basic support forms for coal mine roadway surrounding rock and clarifies the main composition and mechanism of anchor cable beam-truss structure. A mechanical model of roadway roof beam under the conditions of no support, single anchor cable support, and anchor cable beam-truss structure support at both ends of the roadway is constructed, and the force and maximum bending moment of roadway roof beam under different support types are compared and analyzed. The study clarifies the bending moment reduction rate of anchor cable beam-truss structure relative to unsupported and single anchor cable support and combines numerical simulation to analyze the response laws of anchor cable beam-truss to prestress distribution and stress shell in roadway surrounding rock. Based on the on-site engineering application of a typical large-deformation mining roadway in a deep coal mine, the important role of anchor cable beam-truss structure in ensuring the safety and stability of surrounding rock in deep high-stress and intense-mining large-deformation roadway is revealed, providing technical references for surrounding rock control of similar conditions in deep roadways.

Objective To explore the relationship between the storage time of leukodepleted red blood cells and transfusion adverse reactions by analyzing the occurrence of transfusion adverse reactions of patients after leukodepleted red blood cells transfusion from four hospitals. Methods By using the electronic medical record management system, the collection and transfusion dates of leukodepleted red blood cells from four hospitals in Enshi Prefecture from 2018 to 2022, as well as the information on transfusion adverse reactions, were retrieved. Results From 2018 to 2022, a total of 697 61 bags of leukodepleted red blood cells were transfused in four hospitals, resulting in 166 cases of transfusion adverse reactions, among which 93 were allergic reactions, 63 were non hemolytic febrile reactions, and 10 were others, with a total incidence rate of transfusion adverse reactions at 0.24%. The average storage time of leukodepleted red blood cells with and without transfusion adverse reactions was (20.25±6.31) and (19.88±5.50) days, respectively. With a storage time of 7 days as the threshold, the incidence of transfusion adverse reactions was the lowest for a storage time of 15~21 days. The incidence of transfusion adverse reactions of leukodepleted red blood cells in two groups (with storage days ≤21 days and >21 days) was not statistically significant(P>0.05). Conclusion Allergic reactions were the main type of transfusion adverse reaction caused by leukodepleted red blood cells, and the incidence of transfusion adverse reactions decreased and then increased with the prolongation of the storage time of leukodepleted red blood cells. There was no significant difference in the incidence of transfusion adverse reactions with leukodepleted red blood cells stored for ≤ 21 days and >21 days.

Abstract Regarding the issue of intense mining pressure appearing in the underlying gateway below the remaining coal pillar in the close‐distance coal seam (the remaining coal pillar is perpendicular to the underlying section coal pillar), 401 working face is used as the engineering background. Field measurements, laboratory experiments, numerical simulations, and engineering verification techniques are used to study the abutment pressure's evolution properties and the plastic zone's propagation laws before and after the underlying coal seam roadway experienced the mining impact. The conclusions are as follows: ① The maximum plastic area on the two sides and the roof of the roadway underlying the gob are up to 2 and 1.5 m, whereas the maximum plastic area on the two sides and the roof of the roadway underlying the remaining coal pillar are up to 5 and 4.5 m, respectively. Moreover, the plastic area extends along the two sides, and the section coal pillar is completely broken when the working face is mined below the remaining coal pillar. ② The stress increase coefficient K in the overlap area of the remaining coal pillar and the underlying section coal pillar reaches 3.4 when the mining face penetrates the underlying remaining coal pillar and the advance abutment pressure is overlaid with the concentrated stress of the coal pillar. ③ When the underlying working face is mined to 4, −2, −8, and −14 m away from the remaining coal pillar, the damage range of the roadway 5–10 m ahead increases in turn. At the same time, the maximum plastic area of the roof passes through the plastic area of the upper coal seam floor. Therefore, the underlying and transition areas on both sides of the remaining coal pillar are divided into Area I (15 m) → Area II (the most complicated area to control under the remaining coal pillar, 20 m) → Area III (25 m) according to the width. Furthermore, the divisional differentiated combined control technology of channel steel truss anchor cable with joint double‐way locking control function of roof and coal pillar in Areas I and III, while channel steel truss anchor cable with joint double‐way locking control function of roof and side + high resistance integral door‐type support is proposed in Area II. Field engineering practice shows that the deformation of the roadway surrounding rock can be controlled within 210 mm after adopting the above divisional combined control technology. Finally, the mining operation can safely and efficiently pass through the remaining coal pillar. The research results have important reference values for surrounding rock control of mining roadways in the overlapping area of similar “+”‐type cross‐working face.

In this work, we have investigated the Cabibbo-suppressed process Λc→π0ηp, by taking into account the intermediate scalar state a0(980), which could be dynamically generated from the S-wave pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar interaction within the chiral unitary approach. We have calculated the π0η invariant mass distribution, and found that there is a significant structure associated to the a0(980). We have also roughly estimated the branching fraction B(Λc→π0ηp)∼10−4. We encourage our experimental colleagues to measure the process Λc→π0ηp for searching for the state a0(980) in this reaction.

Abstract Main goal of the JUNO experiment is to determine the neutrino mass ordering using a 20 kt liquid-scintillator detector. Its key feature is an excellent energy resolution of at least 3% at 1 MeV, for which its instruments need to meet a certain quality and thus have to be fully characterized. More than 20,000 20-inch PMTs have been received and assessed by JUNO after a detailed testing program which began in 2017 and elapsed for about four years. Based on this mass characterization and a set of specific requirements, a good quality of all accepted PMTs could be ascertained. This paper presents the performed testing procedure with the designed testing systems as well as the statistical characteristics of all 20-inch PMTs intended to be used in the JUNO experiment, covering more than fifteen performance parameters including the photocathode uniformity. This constitutes the largest sample of 20-inch PMTs ever produced and studied in detail to date, i.e. 15,000 of the newly developed 20-inch MCP-PMTs from Northern Night Vision Technology Co. (NNVT) and 5000 of dynode PMTs from Hamamatsu Photonics K. K.(HPK).

Abstract Within the framework of the local hidden gauge approach, we have studied the near-threshold $$D^* {\bar{D}}^*$$ D ∗ D ¯ ∗ interaction with quantum numbers $$I(J^{PC}) = 0(0^{++})$$ I ( J PC ) = 0 ( 0 + + ) , $$0(2^{++})$$ 0 ( 2 + + ) , $$1(0^{++})$$ 1 ( 0 + + ) , and $$1(2^{++})$$ 1 ( 2 + + ) , respectively. The contact term and vector meson exchange term in coupled channels are taken into account in this work. One pole, which is found in the case of the quantum numbers $$I(J^{PC}) = 0(0^{++})$$ I ( J PC ) = 0 ( 0 + + ) , could be associated to the X(4014) recently observed by the Belle Collaboration. Thus, we suggest that the X(4014) may be an $$D^* {\bar{D}}^*$$ D ∗ D ¯ ∗ molecular state with $$I(J^{PC}) = 0(0^{++})$$ I ( J PC ) = 0 ( 0 + + ) , and more precise information about X(4014), such as resonance parameters and decay properties, could be useful to shed light on its structure.

The physics potential of detecting ^8 B solar neutrinos will be exploited at the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), in a model-independent manner by using three distinct channels of the charged current (CC), neutral current (NC), and elastic scattering (ES) interactions. Due to the largest-ever mass of ^13 C nuclei in the liquid scintillator detectors and the expected low background level, ^8 B solar neutrinos are observable in the CC and NC interactions on ^13 C for the first time. By virtue of optimized event selections and muon veto strategies, backgrounds from the accidental coincidence, muon-induced isotopes, and external backgrounds can be greatly suppressed. Excellent signal-to-background ratios can be achieved in the CC, NC, and ES channels to guarantee the observation of the ^8 B solar neutrinos. From the sensitivity studies performed in this work, we show that JUNO, with 10 yr of data, can reach the 1 σ precision levels of 5%, 8%, and 20% for the ^8 B neutrino flux, ${\sin }^{2}{\theta }_{12}$ , and ${\rm{\Delta }}{m}_{21}^{2}$ , respectively. Probing the details of both solar physics and neutrino physics would be unique and helpful. In addition, when combined with the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory measurement, the world's best precision of 3% is expected for the measurement of the ^8 B neutrino flux.

Abstract This paper studies the width of narrow coal pillars, mining‐induced failure characteristics, and surrounding rock control effect of gob‐side entry driving (GED) adjacent to 2‐1208 filling working face with an approximately 900 m depth. Laboratory experiments, numerical simulations, loosening circle tests, and engineering practices are conducted. The mechanical properties of the filling body, the distribution and evolution law of the second invariant deviatoric stress (J2), and the variation in the plastic zone of the surrounding rock in GED are studied. The conditions of various coal pillar widths and the gob backfilled or not of the adjacent working face are also considered. The results of roadway driving along the filling working face in the deep coal mine are that: (1) The evolution law of J2 and the plastic zone features of the surrounding rock in GED have changed significantly. Thus, it is unreasonable to still adopt the customary theory of narrow coal pillar determination and roadway support design method of GED adjacent to nonfilling working face. (2) The plastic zone of GED has typically asymmetric distribution characteristics during driving and retreating, which is mainly concentrated at the upper corner of the virgin coal rib. And the elastic zone changes slightly by the influence of mining‐induced pressure on the working face, indicating that support in this area is easier. (3) During the stable period of roadway driving, there includes a “ring‐shaped” J2 depression zone at the upper corner of the coal pillar rib. While the peak zone distribution of J2 in the virgin coal rib of GED is approximately “crescent‐shaped,” and the peak zone is inclined to the upper corner of the virgin coal rib, which implies that this area is a crucial control region. (4) During the retreating period of panel 2‐1210, the direction of the maximum principal stress of GED gradually deflects from the direction of the gob to that perpendicular to the roof and floor, which represents that the key support area of GED has changed. Therefore, the advanced support of GED needs to be reinforced by single hydraulic props. The width of the coal pillar was determined to be 5 m, and a targeted truss anchor cable support method with bidirectional resistance function is proposed for the roof and both ribs, which realized the stability control of GED during deep filling mining.

Abstract To ameliorate the defects of insufficient support resistance of traditional roadside filling bodies for gob-side entry retaining (GER), overcome the inability to adapt to the deformation of surrounding rock, and isolate the goaf effectively, a new type of high-water material as a roadside filling body for GER technology with double roadways was proposed. The instability analysis and control technology of GER with double roadways by filling high-water material into a gently inclined coal seam were studied. The basic mechanical properties of the new high-water material were investigated through laboratory experiments, and their main advantages were identified. The reasonable width of the roadside filling wall of a high-water material was obtained by combining ground pressure observation and theoretical calculations. The distribution characteristics of the stress and plastic zone of surrounding rock of GER after being stabilized by the disturbance of the working face were studied using numerical simulations, and the failure range of GER by filling with high-water material was revealed. Based on this, a coupling control technology of anchor cables and bolts + single props + metal mesh + anchor bolts is proposed. Through the coupling methods of arranging borehole peeping and observing the convergences of surrounding rock, the results demonstrate that GER with double roadways by filling with a 1.8-m-wide high-water material has a good control effect. The above research will play an active role in promoting the application of high-water materials in GER roadside filling.

Abstract Large deformation control of surrounding rock in deep soft‐broken coal roadway has always been a key scientific and technological problem restricting the deep coal resources exploitation. Taking the gob‐side entry driving (GED) in isolated coal face under deep soft‐broken coal as research object, the prominent difficulties of surrounding rock control were clarified. Through numerical simulation, the evolution laws of deviatoric stress and plastic zone of GED under different coal pillar widths were studied. Combined with rational calculation, reasonable coal pillar width was determined to be 7.0 m. The study shows that severe disturbance distance in the front section of the coal face is 22 m, and makes it clear that coal pillar and roof are the key control areas. A subregional asymmetric combined support technology named anchor cable truss in roof and coal pillar + anchor cable in solid coal + single prop reinforced support in 25 m ahead of the coal face was proposed. The field application and ground pressure observation results show that good control effect has been achieved after adopting subregional asymmetric support technology under 7 m coal pillar width. The research results have important reference significance for safe mining in deep coal resources.

Abstract We study damping signatures at the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), a medium-baseline reactor neutrino oscillation experiment. These damping signatures are motivated by various new physics models, including quantum decoherence, ν 3 decay, neutrino absorption, and wave packet decoherence. The phenomenological effects of these models can be characterized by exponential damping factors at the probability level. We assess how well JUNO can constrain these damping parameters and how to disentangle these different damping signatures at JUNO. Compared to current experimental limits, JUNO can significantly improve the limits on τ 3/m 3 in the ν 3 decay model, the width of the neutrino wave packet σ x , and the intrinsic relative dispersion of neutrino momentum σ rel.

Abstract The OSIRIS detector is a subsystem of the liquid scintillator filling chain of the JUNO reactor neutrino experiment. Its purpose is to validate the radiopurity of the scintillator to assure that all components of the JUNO scintillator system work to specifications and only neutrino-grade scintillator is filled into the JUNO Central Detector. The aspired sensitivity level of $$10^{-16}\hbox { g/g}$$ 10 - 16 g/g of $$^{238}\hbox {U}$$ 238 U and $$^{232}\hbox {Th}$$ 232 Th requires a large ( $$\sim 20\,\hbox {m}^3$$ ∼ 20 m 3 ) detection volume and ultralow background levels. The present paper reports on the design and major components of the OSIRIS detector, the detector simulation as well as the measuring strategies foreseen and the sensitivity levels to U/Th that can be reached in this setup.

Abstract JUNO is a massive liquid scintillator detector with a primary scientific goal of determining the neutrino mass ordering by studying the oscillated anti-neutrino flux coming from two nuclear power plants at 53 km distance. The expected signal anti-neutrino interaction rate is only 60 counts per day (cpd), therefore a careful control of the background sources due to radioactivity is critical. In particular, natural radioactivity present in all materials and in the environment represents a serious issue that could impair the sensitivity of the experiment if appropriate countermeasures were not foreseen. In this paper we discuss the background reduction strategies undertaken by the JUNO collaboration to reduce at minimum the impact of natural radioactivity. We describe our efforts for an optimized experimental design, a careful material screening and accurate detector production handling, and a constant control of the expected results through a meticulous Monte Carlo simulation program. We show that all these actions should allow us to keep the background count rate safely below the target value of 10 Hz (i.e. ∼1 cpd accidental background) in the default fiducial volume, above an energy threshold of 0.7 MeV.

Abstract Atmospheric neutrinos are one of the most relevant natural neutrino sources that can be exploited to infer properties about cosmic rays and neutrino oscillations. The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) experiment, a 20 kton liquid scintillator detector with excellent energy resolution is currently under construction in China. JUNO will be able to detect several atmospheric neutrinos per day given the large volume. A study on the JUNO detection and reconstruction capabilities of atmospheric $$\nu _e$$ ν e and $$\nu _\mu $$ ν μ fluxes is presented in this paper. In this study, a sample of atmospheric neutrino Monte Carlo events has been generated, starting from theoretical models, and then processed by the detector simulation. The excellent timing resolution of the 3” PMT light detection system of JUNO detector and the much higher light yield for scintillation over Cherenkov allow to measure the time structure of the scintillation light with very high precision. Since $$\nu _e$$ ν e and $$\nu _\mu $$ ν μ interactions produce a slightly different light pattern, the different time evolution of light allows to discriminate the flavor of primary neutrinos. A probabilistic unfolding method has been used, in order to infer the primary neutrino energy spectrum from the detector experimental observables. The simulated spectrum has been reconstructed between 100 MeV and 10 GeV, showing a great potential of the detector in the atmospheric low energy region.

In this paper, a total of 44 rectangular CFST column finite element models are established and verified. The effect of loading path, the working mechanism and the constraint interaction of rectangular CFST column under compression-torsion loading are discussed. The obtained results show that the ultimate axial bearing capacity of CFST column is decreased when the torsional moment is applied first, and the ultimate torsional capacity is increased when the compression force is applied first. The working mechanism of the compression-torsion CFST column can be simplified as unity of “pulling/compressive torsion” of the steel tube and “compressive torsion” of the core concrete. Finally, the torque-axial force correlative formula of rectangular CFST column is proposed, and is verified well with the test results and finite element results with higher accuracy and less dispersion.

Abstract We present the calibration strategy for the 20 kton liquid scintillator central detector of the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO). By utilizing a comprehensive multiple-source and multiple-positional calibration program, in combination with a novel dual calorimetry technique exploiting two independent photosensors and readout systems, we demonstrate that the JUNO central detector can achieve a better than 1% energy linearity and a 3% effective energy resolution, required by the neutrino mass ordering determination.

Photoexcitation in Weyl semimetals is recently reported to induce topological phase transitions useful for ultrafast switching devices. Here, the authors predict that the symmetry of the atomic orbitals comprising the Weyl bands in response to linear light polarization allows for not only annihilation but also separation of Weyl quasiparticles.

Inspired by the recent discovery of a doubly charmed tetraquark state Tcc+ by the LHCb Collaboration, we employ the effective Lagrangian approach to investigate the decay width of Tcc+→D+D0π0/D0D0π+ and Tcc+→D0D+γ with the assumption that Tcc+ is an isoscalar DD⁎ molecule. We show that both the Tcc→DDπ and Tcc→DDγ modes contribute to the decay width of Tcc, with the former being dominant. The resulting total decay width of about Γ=63 keV is smaller than the experimental decay width obtained from the Breit-Wigner fit of the LHCb data, Γ=410±165±43−38+18 keV, while close to the number obtained from the alternative unitary analysis, Γ=48±2−14+0 keV, which supports the molecular nature of Tcc.

Abstract Taking into account that the scalar $$a_0(980)$$ a 0 ( 980 ) can be dynamically generated from the pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar interaction within the chiral unitary approach, we have studied the single Cabibbo suppressed process $$D^+\rightarrow \pi ^+\pi ^0\eta $$ D + → π + π 0 η . We find clear peaks of $$a_0(980)^+$$ a 0 ( 980 ) + and $$a_0(980)^0$$ a 0 ( 980 ) 0 in the $$\pi ^+\eta $$ π + η and $$\pi ^0\eta $$ π 0 η invariant mass distributions, respectively. The predicted Dalitz plots of $$D^+\rightarrow \pi ^+\pi ^0\eta $$ D + → π + π 0 η also manifest the significant signals for $$a_0(980)^+$$ a 0 ( 980 ) + and $$a_0(980)^0$$ a 0 ( 980 ) 0 states. The uncertainties of the results due to the free parameters are also discussed. Our study shows that the process $$D^+\rightarrow \pi ^+\pi ^0\eta $$ D + → π + π 0 η can be used to explore the nature of the scalar $$a_0(980)$$ a 0 ( 980 ) , thus we encourage the experimental physicists to measure this reaction with more precision.

Abstract Controlling the surrounding rock of the main roadway passing through a goaf during the reconstruction and expansion of a merger and reorganization mine is a common challenge in underground mining practices. In this study, a combined support technology of roof “anchorage‐mesh‐shotcrete” and a double‐H‐type space frame structure for a main roadway passing through a goaf was studied using field investigations, theoretical analysis, and engineering practice. It was observed that the main roadway control difficulties lie in the strongly mining‐induced roof strata in the early stages, with collapsed gangues not connected to an unsupported roof, large goaf sections, and multiple superpositions of surrounding rock stress fields with complex distributions. Based on the results, a double‐H‐type space frame structure support system comprising a “reinforced concrete pillar + reinforced concrete longitudinal beam + cross steel I‐beam” was constructed. This provided strong pillar support, enhanced the shock resistance of the roof, improved the bending and lateral pressure resistances of the frame structure, and produced airtight spaces for the main roadway. Accordingly, a “double systems” support scheme was designed. The results of the engineering practice indicated that the deformation of the goaf roof and force of the supporting structure were controlled within a safe range, meeting the requirements for mine ventilation, pedestrians, and haulage. Consequently, the surrounding rock control problem for the main roadway passing through the goaf was effectively solved, and theoretical and technical bases were provided for the stability control of a roadway passing through a goaf under similar conditions.

Abstract In the chiral unitary approach, we have studied the single Cabibbo-suppressed decays $$\Lambda _c\rightarrow pK^+K^-$$ Λ c → p K + K - and $$\Lambda _c \rightarrow p \pi ^+\pi ^-$$ Λ c → p π + π - by taking into account the s-wave meson–meson interaction as well as the contributions from the intermediate vectors $$\phi $$ ϕ and $$\rho ^0$$ ρ 0 . Our theoretical results for the ratios of the branching fractions of $$\Lambda _c\rightarrow p {\bar{K}}^{*0}$$ Λ c → p K ¯ ∗ 0 and $$\Lambda _c\rightarrow p \omega $$ Λ c → p ω with respect to the one of $$\Lambda _c\rightarrow p \phi $$ Λ c → p ϕ are in agreement with the experimental data. Within the picture that the scalar resonances $$f_0(500)$$ f 0 ( 500 ) , $$f_0(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) , and $$a_0(980)$$ a 0 ( 980 ) are dynamically generated from the pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar interactions in s-wave, we have calculated the $$K^+K^-$$ K + K - and $$\pi ^+\pi ^-$$ π + π - invariant mass distributions respectively for the decays $$\Lambda _c\rightarrow pK^+K^-$$ Λ c → p K + K - and $$\Lambda _c\rightarrow p\pi ^+\pi ^-$$ Λ c → p π + π - . One can find a broad bump structure for the $$f_0(500)$$ f 0 ( 500 ) and a narrow peak for the $$f_0(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) in the $$\pi ^+\pi ^-$$ π + π - invariant mass distribution of the decay $$\Lambda _c\rightarrow p\pi ^+\pi ^-$$ Λ c → p π + π - . For the $$K^+K^-$$ K + K - invariant mass distribution, in addition to the narrow peak for the $$\phi $$ ϕ meson, there is an enhancement structure near the $$K^+K^-$$ K + K - threshold mainly due to the contribution from the $$f_0(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) . Both the $$\pi ^+\pi ^-$$ π + π - and $$K^+K^-$$ K + K - invariant mass distributions are compatible with the BESIII measurement. We encourage our experimental colleagues to measure these two decays, which would be helpful to understand the nature of the $$f_0(500)$$ f 0 ( 500 ) , $$f_0(980)$$ f 0 ( 980 ) , and $$a_0(980)$$ a 0 ( 980 ) .

Abstract Recently, the LHCb Collaboration has confirmed the state X(4140), with a mass $$M=4146.5\pm 4.5^{+4.6}_{-2.8}$$ M=4146.5±4.5-2.8+4.6 MeV, and a much larger width $$\Gamma =83\pm 21^{+21}_{-14}$$ Γ=83±21-14+21 MeV than the previous experimental measurements, which has confused the understanding of its nature. We will investigate the possibility of the $$\chi _{c1}(3P)$$ χc1(3P) interpretation for the X(4140), considering the mass spectra predicted in the quark model, and the strong decay properties within the $$^3P_0$$ 3P0 model. We also predict the strong decay properties of the charmonium states $$\chi _{c0}(3P)$$ χc0(3P) and $$\chi _{c2}(3P)$$ χc2(3P) . Our results show that the X(4140) state with the small width given in PDG can be explained as the charmonium state $$\chi _{c1}(3P)$$ χc1(3P) in the $$^3P_0$$ 3P0 model, and high precision measurement of the width of the X(4140) is crucial to understand its nature.

Abstract Recently, the Belle collaboration measured the ratios of the branching fractions of the newly observed $$\Omega (2012)$$ Ω(2012) excited state. They did not observe significant signals for the $$\Omega (2012) \rightarrow {\bar{K}} \Xi ^*(1530) \rightarrow {\bar{K}} \pi \Xi $$ Ω(2012)→K¯Ξ∗(1530)→K¯πΞ decay, and reported an upper limit for the ratio of the three body decay to the two body decay mode of $$\Omega (2012) \rightarrow {\bar{K}} \Xi $$ Ω(2012)→K¯Ξ . In this work, we revisit the newly observed $$\Omega (2012)$$ Ω(2012) from the molecular perspective where this resonance appears to be a dynamically generated state with spin-parity $$3/2^-$$ 3/2- from the coupled channels interactions of the $${\bar{K}} \Xi ^*(1530)$$ K¯Ξ∗(1530) and $$\eta \Omega $$ ηΩ in s-wave and $${\bar{K}} \Xi $$ K¯Ξ in d-wave. With the model parameters for the d-wave interaction, we show that the ratio of these decay fractions reported recently by the Belle collaboration can be easily accommodated.

Abstract We analyze theoretically the $$D^+\rightarrow \nu e^+ \rho \bar{K}$$ D+→νe+ρK¯ and $$D^+\rightarrow \nu e^+ \bar{K}^* \pi $$ D+→νe+K¯∗π decays to see the feasibility to check the double pole nature of the axial-vector resonance $$K_1(1270)$$ K1(1270) predicted by the unitary extensions of chiral perturbation theory (UChPT). Indeed, within UChPT the $$K_1(1270)$$ K1(1270) is dynamically generated from the interaction of a vector and a pseudoscalar meson, and two poles are obtained for the quantum numbers of this resonance. The lower mass pole couples dominantly to $$K^*\pi $$ K∗π and the higher mass pole to $$\rho K$$ ρK , therefore we can expect that different reactions weighing differently these channels in the production mechanisms enhance one or the other pole. We show that the different final VP channels in $$D^+\rightarrow \nu e^+ V P$$ D+→νe+VP weigh differently both poles, and this is reflected in the shape of the final vector-pseudoscalar invariant mass distributions. Therefore, we conclude that these decays are suitable to distinguish experimentally the predicted double pole of the $$K_1(1270)$$ K1(1270) resonance.

Aiming at solving the problem of asymmetric deformation, failure, and stability control of surrounding rock caused by the excavation of deep super large section soft rock chamber group passing through multilayer strata, taking super large section soft rock chamber group connected by deep vertical shaft in Wuyang Coal Mine as the engineering background, the deformation development mode of surrounding rock, the expansion situation of loosening range, and the plastic failure response characteristics in chamber group under the disturbance influence are monitored and numerically analyzed. On this basis, the super large section chamber group is divided into four maintenance control areas: area I (severe deformation area), area II (stable deformation area), area III (medium deformation area), and area IV (small deformation area), and the asymmetric deformation and failure mechanism of the surrounding rock of the chamber group is analyzed. The influence mechanism of specific support technologies on the deformation control effect of surrounding rock of chamber group is systematically studied, including high-strength prestressed bolt (cable) mesh shotcreting coupling support technology, reinforced concrete wall subarea brickwork support technology, and hollow bolt (cable) grouting reinforcement technology of fragmented coal and rock mass. The basic control ideas and technical methods of surrounding rock of deep large section soft rock chamber group are formed. The subarea collaborative control technology of “high-strength prestressed bolt (cable) mesh shotcreting coupling + reinforced concrete wall brickwork support technology + high-strength bolt (cable) grouting of fragmented coal and rock mass” is proposed. The field application shows that this technology realizes effective control of surrounding rock of super large section chamber group.

IntroductionIt has recently been reported that the placement of a transanal drainage tube after rectal cancer surgery reduces the rate of anastomotic leakage. However, transanal drainage tube cannot completely prevent anastomotic leakage and the management of transanal drainage tube needs to devise. We investigated the information obtained during transanal drainage tube placement and evaluated the relationship between these factors and anastomotic leakage.Patients and methodsFifty-one patients who underwent anterior resection of rectal cancer was retrospectively reviewed. transanal drainage tube was placed for more than 5 days after surgery. The daily fecal volume from transanal drainage tube was measured on postoperative day 1-5, and the defecation during transanal drainage tube placement was investigated.ResultsAnastomotic leakage during transanal drainage tube placement occurred in 4 patients. The anastomotic leakage rate during transanal drainage tube placement in patients whose maximum daily fecal volume or total fecal volume from the transanal drainage tube during postoperative days 1-5 was large was significantly higher than that in patients whose fecal volume was small. The anastomotic leakage rate of the patients with intentional defecation during transanal drainage tube placement was significantly higher than that of the patients without intentional defecation during transanal drainage tube placement. The maximum daily fecal volume and the total fecal volume from the transanal drainage tube during postoperative days 1-5 in patients who experienced intentional defecation during transanal drainage tube placement was significantly higher than that of patients without intentional defecation during transanal drainage tube placement.ConclusionA large fecal volume from transanal drainage tube after anterior rectal resection or intentional defecation in patients with transanal drainage tube placement were suggested to be risk factors for anastomotic leakage.

In this work, we have investigated the process Ds+→K+K−π+, taking into account the contributions from the S-wave pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar interaction within the chiral unitary approach, and also the intermediate ϕ resonance. By analyzing the BESIII and BABAR measurements, we conclude that the f0(980) state, dynamically generated from the S-wave pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar interaction, gives the dominant contribution close to the K+K− threshold in the K+K− invariant mass distribution of the decay Ds+→K+K−π+ in S-wave. On the other hand, our results imply that the lineshape adopted by BESIII and BABAR for the resonances a0(980) and f0(980) is not advisable in the fit to the data close to the K+K− threshold.

Abstract We study the $$J/\psi \rightarrow K^+ K^- f_0(980)(a_0(980))$$ J/ψ→K+K-f0(980)(a0(980)) reaction and find that the mechanism to produce this decay develops a triangle singularity around $$M_{\mathrm{inv}}(K^- f_0/K^- a_0) \approx 1515$$ Minv(K-f0/K-a0)≈1515 MeV. The differential width $$d\varGamma / dM_{\mathrm{inv}}(K^- f_0/K^- a_0)$$ dΓ/dMinv(K-f0/K-a0) shows a rapid growth around the invariant mass being 1515 MeV as a consequence of the triangle singularity of this mechanism, which is directly tied to the nature of the $$f_0(980)$$ f0(980) and $$a_0(980)$$ a0(980) as dynamically generated resonances from the interaction of pseudoscalar mesons. The branching ratios obtained for the $$J/\psi \rightarrow K^+ K^- f_0(980)(a_0(980))$$ J/ψ→K+K-f0(980)(a0(980)) decays are of the order of $$10^{-5}$$ 10-5 , accessible in present facilities, and we argue that their observation should provide relevant information concerning the nature of the low-lying scalar mesons.

Software-defined networking (SDN) enables fast innovation in networks. The management and measurement features that we require can be easily implemented in SDN. However, when simplicity is introduced, SDN also faces some problems, of which the most challenging one is the scalability problem. As the foundation of the networking management, scalability of the traffic measurement is also important. Recently, many works have focused on TCAM-based measurement, which is considered to be scalable and efficient enough. In this paper, we propose a distributed hierarchical heavy hitter (HHH) detection method, which is also a TCAM-based method. Unlike previous works, this method focuses on optimizing the detection speed by dynamically controlling the resource allocated to each measurement task. We propose an efficient solution to solve the optimization problem. The simulation with network-wide tasks and diverse traffic has shown that this method can improve the detection speed when compared with other resource allocation methods, and it can work better under strict resource limitation.

Recently, latent vector embedding has become a research hotspot, with its great representative ability to measure the latent relationships among different views. However, most researches utilize the inner product of latent vectors as the representation of relationships, and they develop some embedding models based on this theory. In this paper, we take deep insight into the existing embedding models and find that utilizing the inner product may increase several problems: 1) in latent space, the inner product among three vectors may violate triangle principle; 2) the inner product cannot measure the relationships between vectors in the same category, such as user and user and item and item; and 3) the inner product cannot catch the collaborative relationships (user-user and item-item) for collaborative filtering. Along with this line, we propose a latent vector embedding model for collaborative filtering: latent dual metric embedding (LDME), which utilizes the dual-Euclidean distance in latent space, instead of the inner product, to represent different types of relationships (user-user, item-item, and user-item) with a uniform framework. Specifically, we design an embedding loss function in LDME, which can measure the close and remote relationships between entities, tackle the above problems, and achieve a more clear, well-explained embedding result. Extensive experiments are conducted on several real-world datasets (Amazon, Yelp, Taobao, and Jingdong), where the expiring results demonstrate that LDME can overperform some state-of-the-art user-item embedding models and can benefit the existing collaborative filtering models.

As an appealing sensing paradigm, Mobile Crowd Sensing (MCS) which provides a cost-efficient solution for large-scale urban sensing tasks has gained significant attention in recent years. However, in practice, many MCS applications usually suffer from the failure of sensing task execution, ranging from the randomness and autonomous in participant users' behavior, to lacking of prior experience and monetary reward, etc. To mitigate the impact of these failures, in this paper, we propose and study a novel problem, namely failure-aware mobile crowd sensing. To solve our problem, we devise a two-stages framework, including offline task allocation and online task transfer. Towards enhancing task completion ratio, we propose an indeterminate fitness proportionate based task allocation approach FPSAll, and an utility evaluation-based task transfer approach FTASKTraf, respectively. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of our proposed approaches on real-world data set.

Sparse mobile crowdsensing (MCS) is a promising paradigm for the large-scale urban sensing, which allows us to collect data from only a few areas (cell selection) and infer the data of other areas (data inference). It can significantly reduce the sensing cost while ensuring high data quality. Recently, large urban sensing systems often require multiple types of sensing data (e.g., publish two tasks on temperature and humidity respectively) to form a multi-dimensional urban sensing map. These multiple types of sensing data hold some inherent correlations, which can be leveraged to further reduce the sensing cost and improve the accuracy of the inferred results. In this paper, we study the multi-dimensional urban sensing in sparse MCS to jointly address the data inference and cell selection for multi-task scenarios. We exploit the intra- and inter-task correlations in data inference to deduce the data of the unsensed cells through the multi-task compressive sensing and then learn and select the most effective 〈cell, task〉 pairs by using reinforcement learning. To effectively capture the intra- and inter-task correlations in cell selection, we design a network structure with multiple branches, where branches extract the intra-task correlations for each task, respectively, and then catenates the results from all branches to capture the inter-task correlations among the multiple tasks. In addition, we present a two-stage online framework for reinforcement learning in practical use, including training and running phases. The extensive experiments have been conducted on two real-world urban sensing datasets, each with two types of sensing data, which verify the effectiveness of our proposed algorithms on multi-dimensional urban sensing and achieve better performances than the state-of-the-art mechanisms.

As the widespread of mobile devices in recent years, mobile crowdsensing (MCS) has become a powerful mechanism to produce knowledge by collecting the individual contributed sensor data. In this paper, we aim to solve the target tracking problem through mobile crowdsensing. The traditional tracking method tends to rely on photos or videos provided by pre-deployed monitors, which may consume much power resources. Different from the traditional tracking method, the tracking approach through mobile crowdsensing (TAMC) proposed in this paper utilizes the wireless communication of mobile users to collect and contribute the valuable information about the target's whereabouts. Specifically, whenever the mobile users witness the target person, they will take photos of the target person and report the location and time of witnessing the target to the platform. Due to the fact that mobile users communicate with the platform only when they witness the target, the crowdsensing network composed of mobile users can be seen as a green network. In this way, the visited location history and corresponding time sequence of the target are available through the reports of mobile users. Once a new report is uploaded to the platform, the location history is updated. Then, according to the latest report, we apply a tree-based location prediction model named XGBoost, which is a scalable machine learning system, to predict the next place to be visited by the target. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments on a large-scale real-world dataset, namely, the Gowalla check-in dataset. The experimental results show that compared with the baseline methods, the tracking approach can predict the next places accurately.

Close-distance coal seams are widely distributed in China, and the mining of overlying coal seams leads to floor damage. To grasp the properties and the fracture spans of the damaged main roof in the underlying coal seam, combining the calculation of the floor damage depth with rock damage theory and the formulas for calculating the first and periodic weighting intervals of the damaged main roof and the instability conditions of the damaged key blocks are obtained. Three interaction stability mechanics models are proposed for key blocks with different properties of the upper and lower main roof, and the instability conditions of the lower damaged key blocks are obtained when the fracture lines overlap. When combined with a specific example, the field monitoring verified the calculation results. The research results are as follows: (1) The first and periodic weighting intervals, horizontal thrust between blocks, and critical load of instability of the damaged main roof are significantly reduced. Still, there are differences in its reduction under different loads, rotation angles, and lumpiness. (2) When the fracture lines of the upper and lower main roofs overlap, the stability of the damaged key blocks is the lowest. There are three linkage stability regions in the critical load curves of the two key blocks. (3) In this case, the damage equivalent of the main roof is 0.397, which belongs to the local damage type. Its first and periodic weighting intervals are 40 m and 16 m, which is 22% and 24% less than when there is no damage. (4) A supporting load of 0.489 MPa is required to maintain the stability of the upper key block, and the lower damaged key block is prone to rotary and sliding instability during the first and periodic weighting, respectively. Thus, the supports need to bear a total of 0.988 MPa and 0.761 MPa to maintain the stability of the two key blocks simultaneously. The ground pressure data monitored on-site is in accord with the calculation results.

The mechanical behaviors of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) are upgraded by outer steel tube confinement, and the performance of recycled aggregate concrete-filled steel tubular (RACFST) columns is similar to that of the traditional concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) columns. The purpose of this study is to investigate the behaviors of recycled aggregate concrete-filled rectangular steel tubular (RACFRST) stub columns under axial loading. Three-dimensional finite element (FE) models were established, which utilized a triaxial plastic-damage constitutive RAC model considering the replacement ratio of recycled aggregates. The finite element analysis results indicated that the lessened ultimate bearing capacity of RACFRST stub columns compared with their traditional concrete infilled counterparts was mainly due to the weakened confinement effect and confinement efficiency. A simplified formula of the bearing capacity of concentrically loaded RACFRST stub columns was proposed. The cross-sectional stress nephogram was reasonably simplified by the limited state of infilled concrete. The basics of proposed formula were the equilibrium condition and the superposition method. Finally, the formula for the bearing capacity of RACFRST stub columns was evaluated by comparing its accuracy and feasibility to some design formulae proposed by specialists and some design codes of different regions.

BackgroundTumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) have been reported to reflect the anti-tumor immune status. However, recent investigations have demonstrated that intratumoral fibrosis is important as a factor affecting the infiltration of TILs. This study investigated the organ specificities of TIL infiltration and intratumoral fibrosis in primary colorectal cancer and distant metastases, as well as the relationship between the distribution of TILs and intratumoral fibrosis.MethodsPatients who underwent resection of primary tumors or distant metastases for colorectal cancer with distant metastases were enrolled. We evaluated the TIL infiltration by immunohistochemical staining with CD3&CD8 and intratumoral fibrosis by immunohistochemical staining with α-SMA positive cancer-associated fibroblasts and Masson's trichrome staining against collagen fibers. The "ImageJ" was used to evaluate fibrosis, and the density of TILs in the dense and sparse areas of fibrosis was calculated. The Immunoscore (IS) was obtained based on the density of CD3+/CD8+TILs in the tumor center and invasive margin of the primary tumor.ResultsThe degree of CD3+/CD8+TIL infiltration in peritoneal metastases was significantly lower than that in liver and lung metastases. The area ratio of α-SMA positive cancer-associated fibroblasts and collagen fibers in peritoneal metastases was significantly higher than that of liver and lung metastases. Furthermore, the density of TILs in the high-fibrosis area was significantly lower than that in the low-fibrosis area. In the high-IS group of primary tumors, the degree of TIL infiltration in distant metastases was significantly higher than that in the low-IS group.ConclusionThe infiltration of T lymphocytes into tumors is prevented in peritoneal metastases of colorectal cancer due to the high intratumoral fibrosis, which may lead to treatment resistance and a poor prognosis.

Aiming at the problem of large deformation and instability failure and its control of soft coal and soft roof roadway under intense mining, laboratory experiments, theoretical calculations, Flac3D numerical simulation, borehole peeping, and pressure observation were used to study the deflection characteristics of the deviatoric stress of the gas tailgate and the distribution and failure characteristics of the plastic zone in the mining face considering the strain softening characteristics of the roof and coal of roadway, and then the truss anchor cable-control technology is proposed. The results show the following: (1) The intense mining influence on the working face will deflect the peak deviatoric stress zone (PDSZ) of the surrounding rock of the gas tailgate. The influence distance of PDSZ is about 20 m in advance and 60 m in lag; the PDSZ at the gob side of the roadway is located in the range of 3–5.5 m from the surface of the coal pillar, while the coal wall side is mainly located in the range of 3–4.5 m at the shoulder corner and bottom corner of the solid coal. (2) The intense mining in the working face caused the nonuniform expansion of the surrounding rock plastic area of the gas tailgate. The two shoulder angles of the roadway and the bottom of the coal pillar have the largest damage range, and the maximum damage location is the side angle of the coal pillar (5 m). Angle and bottom angle of coal pillar are the key points of support control. (3) The plastic failure line of the surrounding rock of the gas tailgate is always between the inner and outer contours of the PDSZ, and the rock mass in the PDSZ is in a stable and unstable transition state, so the range of anchor cable support should be cross plastic failure line. (4) The theoretical calculations and numerical simulation results agree well with the drilling peep results. Based on the deflection law of the PDSZ and the expansion characteristics of the plastic zone, a truss anchor cable supporting system with integrated locking and large-scale support function is proposed to jointly control the roof and the two sides, which effectively solves the problem of weak surrounding rock roadway under severe mining deformation control problems realizing safety and efficient production in coal mines under intense mining.

To modify the mechanic properties of high water backfill material (HWBM) for its engineering application in mining backfill, a series of experiments were performed to investigate the effects of electrochemical treatment on the mechanic properties and electrical resistivity of the HWBM at the early age. Meanwhile, the effects of the potential gradient, power-on time, and water–cement ratio (W/C) on electrochemical modification efficiency were investigated. The results show that the uniaxial compression strength (UCS), elastic modulus, and deformation modulus of the HWBM all first increased and then decreased after electrochemical treatment with the increasing of the potential gradient and power-on time. However, for the HWBM with different W/C, the UCS and electrical resistivity both increased the HWBM except when the W/C was 3 : 1. The elastic modulus and deformation modulus of the samples both increased after electrochemical modification except when the W/C was 4 : 1. Additionally, there is a positive correlation between the UCS and electrical resistivity in HWBM samples. Therefore, it is proved that the electrochemical technology is a potential method for improving the physicochemical properties of the HWBM.

The surrounding rock of the roadway under double gobs in the lower coal seams is partially damaged by the mining of the upper coal seam and the stress superimposition of the stepped coal pillars. What is worse, the upper layer of the roof is collapse gangue in double gobs, which makes the anchor cable unable to anchor the reliable bearing layer, so the anchoring performance is weakened. The actual drawing forces of the anchor bolt and anchor cable are only approximately 50 kN and 80 kN, respectively. The roadway develops cracks and large deformations with increasing difficulty in achieving safe ventilation. In view of the above problems, taking the close coal seam mining in the Zhengwen Coal Mine as the engineering background, a theoretical calculation is used to obtain the loading of the step coal pillars and the slip line field distribution of the floor depth. The numerical simulation monitors the stress superimposition of stepped coal pillars and the distribution of elastoplastic areas to effectively evaluate the layout of mining roadways. The numerical simulation also analyzes the effective prestress field distribution of the broken roof and grouting roof anchor cable. A laboratory test was used to monitor the strength of the grouting test block of the broken coal body. Then, we proposed that grouting anchor cable be used to strengthen the weak surface of the roof and block the roof cracks. From on-site measurement, the roadway was seen to be arranged in the lateral stress stabilization area of the stepped coal pillars, the combined support technology of the grouting anchor cable (bolt) + U type steel + a single prop was adopted, the roadway deformation was small, the gas influx was reduced, and the drawing force of the anchor bolt and the anchor cable was increased to approximately 160 kN and 350 kN, respectively. The overall design and control technology of the roadway can meet the site safety and efficient production requirements.

The stability of the extra-large width open-off cut of a longwall panel has been a major concern in underground solid backfill mining. In this study, a numerical model was built with FLAC3D for analyzing the characteristics of the effective prestressed field distribution in the extra-large width open-off cut roof in Xingdong coal mine, China. The numerical results obtained in this study demonstrate that an anchorage rock beam bearing structure (ARBBS) can be formed. Additionally, the ARBBS model was also constructed. The analytical expression of the maximum shear stress (MSS) in the model was obtained under the functions of composite influencing factors. Then, the MSS evolution laws in ARBBS with different thicknesses and spans were investigated using MATLAB software. The stress changes in ARBBS with a span of 15 m were compared and analyzed under the functions of single and composite influencing factors. The cooperative control principle of the roof ARBBS and two rib anchorage bearing structures was also clarified. Accordingly, a combined support scheme for an 11.5 m-wide open-off cut was proposed. The field applications demonstrated that the scheme successfully controlled the failure and deformation of the surrounding rock, thus contributing to the fast development of the open-off cut and the quick and timely installations of the backfill mining equipment. This validated the results of the ARBBS model. This study is expected to provide helpful references for other extra-large width open-off cut or roadway stability investigations and rock support design under similar engineering and geological conditions.
