Objectives: To examine the predictive effect of preoperative measurements of stone volume (SV) against stone area (SA) on stone-free status (SF) following retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS). Methods: We retrospectively examined the medical records of 68 RIRS patients with renal calculi who were eligible. Patients having non-contrast computed tomography ( NCCT ) before and subsequent to RIRS were included, however staghorn stones and inability to access were omitted. SF status was determined by the absence of visible stones on the NCCT three months after RIRS. Using a software reconstruction tool using 3-D NCCT, a radiologist determined stone load characteristics, such as SA and SV. Using a logistic regression model, the assessment of potential SF status determinants was conducted. Pancreatic pseudocyst is the most common cystic lesion of the pancreas seen following acute and chronic pancreatitis in 2-10% and 10-30%, respectively. Imaging findings vary depending on the age and severity of the attack. Infection, hemorrhage and rupture are the most frightening complications. The possibility of spontaneous recovery is consider­ably low. A 63-year old male patient who has history of longstanding alcohol consumption presented to the emer­gency department with complaints of abdominal pain. On computerized tomography (CT), an encapsulated and round peripancreatic collection with a size of approximately 8.5x7.5 cm was detected in pancreatic head. In the literature, no article is published mentioning coexistence of complication such as infection, hemorrhage and rupture. This study aims classification of phosphorus magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (31P-MRSI) data of human brain tumors using machine-learning algorithms. The metabolite peak intensities and ratios were estimated for brain tumor and healthy 31P MR spectra acquired at 3T. The spectra were classified based on metabolite characteristics using logistic regression and support vector machine. This study showed that machine learning could be successfully applied for classification of 31P-MR spectra of brain tumors. The aim of this study was to analyze variations in the morphological features of the subparietal sulcus (SPS) and to investigate interhemispheric and gender differences in these variations using multiplanar reconstructed (MPR) magnetic resonance (MR) images. Two hundred subjects with normal cranial MR imaging, including high-resolution T1-weighted volumetric data, were enrolled in the study. The sagittal or oblique sagittal MPR images created from high-resolution T1-weighted data were analyzed for the following morphological features: the SPS patterns, the continuity of the SPS with the cingulate sulcus and parieto-occipital sulcus (POS), and the presence of upwardly directed SPS branches reaching to the hemispheric surface. Interindividual variability of the morphologic features, hemispheric asymmetry, and gender differences were investigated. Considerable variations were found in the morphological features of the SPS. The H-pattern, no connection with the cingulate sulcus or the POS, and one upwardly directed branch reaching the hemispheric surface were most commonly observed morphologic features of the SPS in 45.2, 41.8, and 48 % of the all hemispheres, respectively. This study aims at acquiring and reconstructing compressed sensing accelerated phosphorus MR spectroscopic imaging (31P-MRSI) of human brain in vivo. Accelerated 31P-MRSI volunteer data were acquired using pulse and acquire with compressed sensing at 3T. k-space data was randomly undersampled for a five fold scan time reduction while preserving the central portion, and reconstructed using three dimensional compressed sensing algorithm. This study showed that compressed sensing method could be applied for faster 31P MR spectroscopic imaging of human brain at 3T.

Computation fluid dynamics (CFD)is widely used to simulate blood flow in vascular systems. Most of the studies focus on identification of reasons behind the cardiovascular disorders. In this study, magnetic resonance angiography data belonging to a patient were used to obtain brain vasculature solid model. This model prior to CFD simulations was evaluated in terms of surface quality and critical region was identified to be investigated. After CFD analysis, the regions with low and high velocity vector fields, pressure, contours and wall shear stresses (WSS) were obtained. The effect of shape and orientation of vessels was observed.
