Livedoid vasculopathy (LV) is a chronic dermatosis associated with micro-thrombosis of the vessels of the dermis, leading to ischemic lesions and painful skin ulcerations of the lower limbs. This thrombosing occlusive vasculopathy, clearly distinct from 'classical vasculitis' (not related to alteration of vessel walls), may lead to peripheral neuropathy.To clarify the main clinical, electrophysiological and pathological characteristics of peripheral neuropathy linked to LV.We presented a series of personal cases of peripheral neuropathy due to LV. We also conducted a review of the literature (since the first description of LV in 1974) using multiple combinations of keywords from 'PubMed', 'Google Scholar' and 'ScienceDirect' databases according to the 'Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses' guidelines.We identified 16 patients (6 personal cases and 10 cases from the medical literature). Our personal cases were five females and one male, with a median age (at the onset of cutaneous signs of LV) of 38 (range 25-62). Several types of skin lesions of the lower limbs were observed. Median age at the onset of peripheral neuropathy symptoms was 48 years (range 29-66), with a main clinical and electrophysiological pattern of mononeuropathy multiplex.We observed a typical pattern of peripheral neuropathy, mostly mononeuropathy multiplex, whose pathophysiology might be related to occlusions of the small vessels of the nerves, as seen in the dermis. Moreover, LV may also be associated with other types of peripheral neuropathies (sometimes of autoimmune etiology) not directly related to the skin lesions.The 'ischemic form' of peripheral neuropathy linked to LV is mainly responsible for sensory disturbances (with multifocal distribution), sometimes for motor disturbances. This type of peripheral neuropathy has to be distinguished from 'classical vasculitic neuropathies' which are usually treated with antithrombotic therapies.

Chronic active Epstein-Barr virus (CAEBV) infection is usually a fatal disease associated with clonal proliferation of EBV-infected T or NK cells. We present the case of a 33-year-old Peruvian patient who developed a multisystem CAEBV, notably responsible for exceptional ophthalmological and renal damage. We describe the clinicopathological features of EBV-induced lymphoproliferative disorder.

The energy crisis scenario currently going on in Brazil, along with the need to reduce greenhouse emissions, lead to an urgent need to design buildings with greater energy efficiency. Shallow geothermal energy surges as a sustainable alternative to reduce the electricity consumption in buildings related to air conditioning and water heating systems. In Brazil, the use of this technique is still incipient due to the lack of studies that demonstrate its viability in the country’s climatic conditions, as well as underground temperature and demand for acclimatization of buildings. The aim of the current work is to present a site characterization for the first geothermal energy investigation carried out in the Brazilian South region. This study is being conducted at the Geotechnical Experimental Site of the State University of Ponta Grossa, and this paper describes the physical, mineralogical, thermal and mechanical characteristics of this site, which comprises a thick layer of a lateritic sandy clay soil over a silty sand layer. The preliminary results of the ground temperatures are consistent with the common trends reported in the literature, showing more expressive oscillations near the ground surface, and becoming approximately constant at higher depths.

The article analyzes the restructuring of teacher education in Brazil from Resolution 2/2019, which defines the National Curriculum Guidelines for Teacher Education for Basic Education, comparing your projectwith the Resolution that preceded,the Resolution 1/2002, identifying updates and continuities. The text is a study of politics, without reducing it to the political text, here understood as one of the moments of its production. To understand the Guidelines in their political trajectory, the authors use the documentary analysis of opinions and resolutions of the National Education Council, in addition to texts by political actors who contributed to sustain the need to reform teacher training courses. It concludes that the Guidelines approved in 2019 reissues the principles, fundamentals, and procedures of the 2002 Guidelines, growing the neoliberal teacher training project started during the Fernando Henrique Cardoso government, with the expansion of its managerial characteristics., El artículo analiza la reestructuración de la formación docente en Brasil a partir de la Resolución 2/2019, que define las Directrices Curriculares Nacionales para la Formación Docente de Educación Básica, comparando tu proyecto con la Resolución que la precedió, la Resolución 1/2002, identificando actualizaciones y continuidades. El texto es un estudio de la política, sin reducirlo al texto político, entendido aquí como uno de los momentos de su producción. Para comprender los Lineamientos en su trayectoria política, los autores utilizan el análisis documental de opiniones y resoluciones del Consejo Nacional de Educación, además de textos de actores políticos que contribuyeron a sustentar la necesidad de reformar los cursos de formación docente. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized by a loss of tolerance toward self-nucleic acids, autoantibody production, interferon expression and signaling, and a defect in the regulatory T (Treg) cell compartment. In this work, we identified that platelets from patients with active SLE preferentially interacted with Treg cells via the P-selectin/P-selectin glycoprotein ligand-1 (PSGL-1) axis. Selectin interaction with PSGL-1 blocked the regulatory and suppressive properties of Treg cells and particularly follicular Treg cells by triggering Syk phosphorylation and an increase in intracytosolic calcium. Mechanistically, P-selectin engagement on Treg cells induced a down-regulation of the transforming growth factor–β axis, altering the phenotype of Treg cells and limiting their immunosuppressive responses. In patients with SLE, we found an up-regulation of P- and E-selectin both on microparticles and in their soluble forms that correlated with disease activity. Last, blocking P-selectin in a mouse model of SLE improved cardinal features of the disease, such as anti-dsDNA antibody concentrations and kidney pathology. Overall, our results identify a P-selectin–dependent pathway that is active in patients with SLE and validate it as a potential therapeutic avenue.

Purpose: Management of Graves’ ophthalmopathy remains challenging. Over the last decade, previous studies have shown promising results for Rituximab in the treatment of Graves’ ophthalmopathy. We present the response of 14 individuals with active moderate-to-severe Graves’ ophthalmopathy to Rituximab, representing one of the largest retrospective case series reported to date. Methods: Rituximab was administered intravenously, 1000 mg twice at a 2-week interval. The primary end point was a clinical activity score reduction (improvement by ⩾ 2 points or disease inactivation: clinical activity score Results: A limited improvement in clinical activity score was observed (median improvement at 24 weeks by 1 point, p = 0.002, (5/14 patients, 35.7%). Disease inactivation occurred in 50% of patients (7/14 patients). At 12 weeks, clinical activity score improved by ⩾ 2 points in 2/14 patients (14.3%) and inactivation of Graves’ ophthalmopathy occurred in four patients (28.6%). Improvement in proptosis and total eye score was observed in 3/9 patients (33%) and in 4/14 patients (28.6%) at 24 weeks, respectively. Only one patient experienced moderate adverse event. Conclusion: Rituximab is a well-tolerated treatment with a good safety profile, but offered limited and partial improvement for active moderate-to-severe Graves’ ophthalmopathy with a long duration of disease.

Introduction Trois formes d’infections chroniques a EBV sont decrites : les atteintes localisees cutanees regroupees sous le terme de lymphoproliferations de type hydroa vacciniforme, les atteintes systemiques et le lymphome T systemique EBV+. Materiel et methodes Une patiente de 33 ans, nee au Perou, presentait depuis l’âge de 13 ans, des ulcerations endo-buccales associees a un œdeme du visage predominant aux paupieres et aux levres. Ces symptomes evoluaient par poussees paroxystiques sans facteurs declenchants. A l’âge de 30 ans, le tableau s’etait complete d’une obstruction nasale, attribuee a une hypersensibilite aux acariens et aux pollens associee a une inflammation de la muqueuse nasale. La patiente etait hospitalisee en France en juin 2020. Il existait alors des ulcerations endo-buccales peu douloureuses, un œdeme de la face a predominance palpebrale et labiale et une obstruction nasale. On notait sur le visage des lesions cicatricielles, possiblement post-vesiculeuses, hyper-pigmentees. La biologie revelait une cytolyse hepatique a 50 fois la normale et une PCR EBV sanguine > 5,9 log. L’histologie hepatique comme celle de la muqueuse endobuccale montrait une infiltration lymphocytaire T CD8+ cytotoxique avec une hybridation in situ EBV+. Un mois apres, alors qu’elle etait sous aciclovir, la patiente etait hospitalisee en reanimation pour une detresse respiratoire avec une pneumopathie interstitielle. L’analyse du liquide bronchoalveolaire (LBA) montrait une PCR EBV > 6,7 log et une hybridation in situ EBV+. Le diagnostic de maladie chronique a EBV etait alors pose. Sur le plan immunitaire, il existait une lymphopenie B et une inversion du rapport CD4/CD8, avec un meme clone T hepatique, sanguin, medullaire et dans le LBA. Un traitement de 3 mois par ciclosporine ne permettait qu’une stabilisation temporaire des symptomes, suivie d’une recrudescence de la cytolyse hepatique, avec une PCR EBV toujours positive dans le sang, associee a l’apparition d’une diplopie binoculaire. L’IRM des orbites montrait une hypertrophie des muscles oculomoteurs evocatrice de myosite oculomotrice. Discussion La maladie chronique a EBV regroupe un spectre de presentations cliniques variees pouvant aller d’une forme indolente a une forme agressive et fatale. Elle debute dans l’enfance, le plus souvent dans les populations d’Asie ou Amerique latine, suggerant une susceptibilite genetique. La physiopathologie, mal comprise, semble impliquer une latence virale lymphocytaire T ou NK, avec une proliferation T lymphocytaire clonale et une immunodeficience. Son pronostic reste sombre, les avancees therapeutiques reposent sur la greffe de cellules souches hematopoietiques. C’est cette option qui est envisagee chez notre patiente peruvienne, atteinte d’une maladie chronique a EBV, avec une atteinte cutaneomuqueuse, ORL, hepatique, pulmonaire et oculomotrice.

Cut flowers deteriorate quickly and require postharvest technologies to increase their durability, which is usually around 8 days. Due to the scarce information related to postharvest physiology of Alstroemeria cut flowers, this study aimed to verify the best dose of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) to the postharvest conservation of inflorescences of Alstroemeria cv. Ajax, considering the factors associated with floral senescence and loss of the decorative life. The stems were submitted to four doses of 1-MCP (0; 100; 250; 500 ppb), then placed in containers with distilled water and stored at room temperature (22 ºC). The treatments were performed in triplicate containing three stems per replicate. The evaluations were performed every three days for a total of 12 days of storage. An F test was conducted, and the means were compared by the Tukey test (p≤0.05). Among the applied treatments the dose of 500 ppb of 1-MCP reduces the loss of water of the stems of alstroemerias during the storage period, keeping the petals turgids and the levels of carotenoids and anthocyanins high, however, this was not enough to keep the decorative quality of the flowers, once the 1-MCP did not solve the problems of yellowing of the leaves and floral openning, which are important characteristics for its commercialization. RESUMO As flores de corte se deterioram muito rapidamente e necessitam de tecnologias pós-colheita para aumentar a durabilidade, que é normalmente em torno de 8 dias. Devido às escassas informações relacionadas à fisiologia pós-colheita de flores de Alstroeméria, a presente pesquisa teve como objetivo verificar qual a melhor dose de 1-metilciclopropeno (1-MCP) na conservação pós-colheita de inflorescências de Alstroemeria cv. Ajax, considerando os fatores associados à senescência floral e perda da vida decorativa. As hastes foram submetidas a quatro doses de 1-MCP (0; 100; 250; 500 ppb), posteriormente foram colocadas em recipientes com água destilada e armazenadas em temperatura de ambiente (22 ºC). Os tratamentos foram realizados em triplicata contendo três hastes por repetição. As avaliações foram realizadas a cada três dias perfazendo um total de 12 dias de armazenamento. Foi realizado um teste de F, e as médias comparadas pelo teste de Tukey (P≤0,05). Entre os tratamentos aplicados a dose de 500 ppb de 1-MCP reduziu a perda de água das hastes de alstroeméria durante o período de armazenamento, mantendo as pétalas túrgidas e os níveis de carotenoides e antocianinas altos, entretanto, isso não foi suficiente para manter a qualidade decorativa das flores, uma vez que o 1-MCP não resolveu os problemas de amarelecimento das folhas e abertura floral, que são importantes características para sua comercilização.

Background: IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a fibro-inflammatory disorder that can affect virtually every organ. Although arterial involvements have been reported, no studies have examined the occurrence of arterial or venous thrombotic events in these patients. Objectives: To explore the frequency, the characteristics, and risk factors of arterial and venous thrombotic events in IgG4-related disease patients. Methods: An observational, descriptive, retrospective study was conducted from a multicentric national case registry for IgG4-RD. Patients fulfilled the Comprehensive Diagnostic Criteria (CDC) for IgG4-RD, and all patients with arterial or venous thrombotic events confirmed by imaging during follow-up were analyzed. Clinical, radiological, biological, histological and therapeutic characteristics were retrospectively collected using a standardized online data sheet. Results obtained in patients with thrombosis were compared to those without thrombosis. Results: One hundred eighty-nine patients with IgG4-RD (135 men/54 women, median age 61 years) were included. During a 12-months median follow-up, one or more arterial thrombotic events occurred in 10 patients and venous thrombotic events in 16 (5.3 and 8.5 events/100 patient-years, respectively). Arterial complications (coronary artery disease n=5, lower limb peripheral arterial disease n=2, mesenteric ischemia, transient ischemic attack, and carotid thrombosis: n=1) occurred on average 30 months [0-140] after the first symptoms of IgG4-RD. They were inaugural in 2 patients without any cardiovascular risk factor, and associated with IgG4-RD arterial involvement in 3 (coronary aneurysms n=2, leg arteritis n=1). Among patients with arterial thrombosis, 60% had systemic involvement (≥3 organs involved), 89% elevated serum IgG4 (> 3N in 56%), and 57% CRP >10 mg/l. Only 5/10 were treated with steroids at the time of arterial complication, and 4 had never been exposed to steroid therapy. Renal involvement was associated with the occurrence of an arterial thrombotic event (p = 0.03). Venous thromboembolic complications (deep venous thrombosis (DVT) n=12, pulmonary embolism n=4) occurred on average 24 months [0-164] after the first symptoms of IgG4-RD, but were inaugural in 6 patients. Usual venous thrombosis risk factors were found in only 3/16. Seven patients had retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF), 2 had mediastinal fibrosis, 60% had localized IgG4-RD (≤2 organs involved), serum IgG4 level was normal in 67% and CRP Conclusion: Arterial and venous thrombotic complications are common in IgG4-RD patients. While arterial events are associated with mulitorgan involvement and elevated serum IgG4, venous thrombotic complications appear to affect more likely patients with compressive localized forms of the disease, such as RPF. Mechanisms responsible for this over-risk and clinical benefit of a preventive platelet antiaggregant or anticoagulant treatment in high risk of thrombosis subgroups remain to be evaluated. Ammonium carbonate (AC, 0.2%), potassium sorbate (PS, 2.0%), potassium carbonate (PC, 0.2%), sodium methylparaben (SMP, 0.1%), sodium ethylparaben (SEP, 0.1%), sodium benzoate (SB, 2.0%), and potassium silicate (PSi, 2.0%) were selected as the most effective. Disease control ability of edible composite coatings formulated with hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), beeswax (BW), and these selected antifungal GRAS salts was assessed in in vivo experiments with ‘Ortanique’ mandarins and ‘Barnfield’ oranges artificially inoculated with L. theobromae. Coatings containing 2% PS, 0.1% SEP, or 2% SB were the most effective reducing disease severity (up to 50% reduction) and were also applied to non-inoculated and cold-stored ‘Barnfield’ oranges to determine their effect on postharvest fruit quality. After periods of 21 and 42 d at 5 °C followed by 7 d of shelf life at 20 °C, coatings containing SEP and SB significantly reduced weight loss and did not adversely affect the physicochemical quality attributes (firmness, soluble solid content, titratable acidity, and ethanol and acetaldehyde content) and sensory flavor with respect to uncoated control fruit. Although the internal gas concentration (CO 2 level) of coated fruit increased, the coatings did not induce off-flavors. A lichia e umas das frutas exoticas mais populares no Brasil e apresenta potencial tanto in natura quanto industrial. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a influencia do numero de foliolos em estacas herbaceas de lichieira tratadas com acido indolbutirico (1000mgL-1). O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, com 4 repeticoes e 10 estacas por parcela experimental. Os tratamentos consistiram em estacas com zero (0), um (1), dois (2), tres (3) e quatro (4) foliolos. Apos 180 dias, as porcentagens de enraizamento e sobrevivencia,bem como o numero e comprimento de raizes foram avaliados. Os dados foram submetidos a analise de regressao polinomial. O aumento no numero de foliolos foi vantajoso para todas as variaveis avaliadas, com um correspondente aumento na sobrevivencia, enraizamento das estacas e numero e comprimento das raizes. A estaquia de ramos herbaceos da lichieira e viavel, desde que pelo menos quatro foliolos sejam mantidos na estaca.

To assess the efficacy of anti-TNF alpha (TNF-α) therapy in patients with non-infectious uveitis.This was a monocentric observational study of 21 patients with non-infectious uveitis treated with anti-TNF-alpha. The primary endpoint was the control of ocular inflammation. The secondary endpoints included the study of macular thickness and visual acuity, changes in other treatments, and adverse effects.The etiologies of uveitis were Behçet disease (33.3%), birdshot (14.3%), sarcoidosis (9.5%), and idiopathic uveitis (42.9%). Ocular inflammation was controlled at 3 months for 80.9% of patients, at 6 months for 94.7%, at 12 months for 83.3%, and at12 months for 86.7%. Central macular thickness improved from 452 µm at baseline to 307.5 µm at 12 months (p = 0.002). Visual acuity also improved from 0.51(logMAR) before treatment to 0.24 at 12 months. The mean daily dose of prednisone decreased from 19.7 mg before treatment to 5.2 mg at 12 months (p 0.001). A total of 9.5% of patients experienced serious side-effects.Our study confirms the efficacy of anti-TNF for the control of short-term and long-term ocular inflammation, with high rates of complete clinical remission.

A evasão ou abandono no âmbito da educação superior é uma temática que vem sendo estudada de forma mais significativa nos últimos cinco anos. Insere-se não só na preocupação das políticas afirmativas de inclusão do estudante, em especial das instituições privadas que têm apresentado os maiores percentuais de estudantes nessa situação e, portanto,as principais interessadas em mantê-los em seus cursos. Estudos buscam revelar causas da evasão/abandono escolar, bem como apontar medidas para o retorno dos estudantes às instituições e para prevenir novas perdas. Este trabalho, do tipo Estado do Conhecimento, propôs-se levantar as teses e dissertações produzidas no período de 2005 a 2010 disponíveis no respectivo banco da CAPES e revelar o que dizem essas produções sobre a evasão ou abandono na educação superior, bem como identificar medidas propostas/adotadas para minimizar a situação na perspectiva dos autores que as produziram e das instituições que lhes serviram de locus de estudo. Os resultados revelam que a evasão é um fenômeno multifacetado e com várias causas. Palavras Chave: Evasão Escolar. Educação Superior. Abandono. Cursos Superiores. Evasion in higher education: a topic for discussion Evasion or dropping-out within higher education is a topic that has been studied most significantly in the past five years. Inserts are not only the concern of affirmative inclusion of the student, but in particular by private institutions in order to be those with the highest percentages of students in this situation and therefore the main interested in keeping them in their courses. Studies seek to reveal causes of school evasion / dropout and identify measures for the return of students to the institutions and to prevent further losses. This work, of the type State of Knowledge, aimed at looking into the theses and dissertations produced in the period between 2005-2010 on the respective data bank from CAPES and reveal what they say about evasion or abandonment in higher education, and to identify measures proposed / taken to minimize the situation from the perspective of the researchers who produced them and the institutions that served as their locus of study. Human actinomycosis with involvement of the spine is a rare condition although it has been first described a long time ago. It is probably underrecognized since its clinical presentation is often misleading and accurate bacteriological diagnosis is challenging. We herein report a rare case of cervical actinomycosis with paravertebral abscess and spondylitis imputed to an infection by Actinomyces meyeri in a 52-year-old immunocompetent Caucasian man. A. meyeri should be considered as a potential cause for subacute or chronic spondylitis, even in immunocompetent subjects. Foram extraídos dez óleos essenciais de plantas e avaliados, inicialmente, quanto ao potencial antifúngico contra o Colletotrichum gloeosporioides in vitro. Dentre os óleos testados, os de Thymus vulgaris, Cymbopogon citratus e Eucalyptus globulus foram selecionados pelos seus destacados efeitos inibitórios. Na etapa in vitro foram realizados quatro experimentos, em que foram testadas concentrações de extrato de própolis verde e dos óleos, utilizando seis repetições por tratamento. Na etapa in vivo, foram realizados quatro experimentos em que mangas ‘Palmer, foram imersas em cera associada a diferentes concentrações de extrato de própolis verde e dos três óleos essenciais selecionados na etapa anterior. Após a secagem e formação dos revestimentos, os frutos tratados com própolis foram armazenados 12 ºC por 12 dias e mais 3 dias em temperatura de ambiente (22± 2 ºC e 65± 5% UR), e os tratados com óleos essenciais por 14 dias sob refrigeração, e por mais 3 dias a temperatura de ambiente. Os resultados foram submetidos à análise de variância e o efeito dos tratamentos, quando significativo, por meio do Teste F. As médias foram comparadas pelo teste de Tukey (P≤0,05). O própolis verde a partir de 2%, o óleo de capim-limão a partir de 250 ppm e o de tomilho a partir de 10 ppm, se mostraram eficientes em controlar o crescimento do C. gloeosporioides in vitro. O óleo de eucalipto comum retardou, mas não inibiu o crescimento do C. gloeosporioides in vitro. Todos os óleos se mostraram eficientes em inibir a germinação de esporos de C. gloeosporioides. Os tratamentos com cera e cera associada aos óleos ou extrato de própolis reduziram o crescimento da lesão in vivo, sendo que a maior inibição (70%) do patógeno foi conseguida com o extrato de própolis verde na concentração de 2,5%. Todos os produtos testados se mostraram eficientes na manutenção da qualidade de frutos de mangas ‘Palmer’ inoculadas com C. gloeosporioides. The objective was to evaluate alternative products, considered natural such as green propolis extract and essential oils, in the post-harvest control of anthracnose in 'Palmer' mangos. Ten essential oils from plants were extracted and evaluated, initially, for their potential as antifungal agents against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides in vitro. Among the oils tested, the Thymus vulgaris, Cymbopogon citratus and Eucalyptus globulus were selected for their outstanding inhibitory effects. In the in vitro stage four experiments were conducted, in which green propolis extract and oil concentrations were tested using six replicates per treatment. In the in vivo phase, four experiments were performed in which ‘Palmer’ mangos were dipped in wax associated with different concentrations of green propolis extract and the three essential oils selected in the previous step. After the drying process and formation of coatings, the fruits treated with propolis were stored at 12°C for 12 days and then another 3 days at room temperature (22 ± 2°C and 65 ± 5% RH), and those treated with essential oils were stored for 14 days under refrigeration and for 3 days at room temperature. The results were subjected to variance analysis and a review of the effect of treatments, when significant, by test F. Means were compared by Tukey test (p ≤ 0.05). The green propolis from 2%, lemongrass oil from 250 ppm and thyme from 10 ppm were effective in controlling the growth of C. gloeosporioides in vitro. Common eucalyptus oil was inhibited, but it did not inhibit the growth in vitro of C. gloeosporioides. The procedures with wax and associated wax with oil or propolis extract reduced the growth in vivo of the injury, and the greater inhibition (70%) of the pathogen was achieved with green propolis extract at 2,5% concentration. All products tested have proven effective in maintaining fruit quality of 'Palmer' mangos inoculated with C. gloeosporioides. FAPESP: 2013/10397-5

Lychee is one of the most popular exotic fruits in Brazil, and has both in natura and industrial potential. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the influence of the number of leaflets on lychee herbaceous cuttings treated with the indolebutyric acid (1000mg L-1). The experimental design was completely randomized, with 4 replications and 10 cuttings per experimental plot. Treatments consisted of cuttings with zero (0), one (1), two (2), three (3), and four (4) leaflets. After 180 days, the rooting and survival percentages and the number and length of roots were evaluated. The data were subjected to polynomial regression analysis. The increase in the number of leaflets was advantageus for all studied variables, with an increase in the survival, rooting of cuttings, and number and length of roots. The herbaceous cuttings of lychee tree are viable, provided that at least four leaflets remain in the herbaceous cutting. RESUMO: A lichia é umas das frutas exóticas mais populares no Brasil e apresenta potencial tanto in natura quanto industrial. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a influência do número de folíolos em estacas herbáceas de lichieira tratadas com ácido indolbutírico (1000mgL-1). O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, com 4 repetições e 10 estacas por parcela experimental. Os tratamentos consistiram em estacas com zero (0), um (1), dois (2), três (3) e quatro (4) folíolos. Após 180 dias, as porcentagens de enraizamento e sobrevivência,bem como o número e comprimento de raízes foram avaliados. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de regressão polinomial. O aumento no número de folíolos foi vantajoso para todas as variáveis avaliadas, com um correspondente aumento na sobrevivência, enraizamento das estacas e número e comprimento das raízes. A estaquia de ramos herbáceos da lichieira é viável, desde que pelo menos quatro folíolos sejam mantidos na estaca.

O texto discute a importância dos saberes docentes necessários para a prática pedagógica dos professores. Toma como referência os trabalhos de Tardíf, Lessard e Lahaye (1991), Saviani (1996), Tardif e Gauthier (1996), Porlán Ariza (1997), Gauthier et al (998) e Pimenta (1999), que têm procurado mostrar a sua importância para a formação, atuação e desenvolvimento dos professores. Expõe as concepções de 'saber' sob a ótica de Bombassaro (1992), Furió (1994) e Gauthier et al (1996), e destaca a importância do saber da experiência como saber construído na prática do professor. Conclui reconhecendo que a sistematização dos saberes docentes poderá contribuir para a construção de uma identidade profissional dos professores, indispensável para o estatuto da profissionalização docente. Este trabalho teve por objetivo verificar o efeito da aplicação de silício em hidroponia na conservação pós-colheita de alface americana 'Lucy Brown' minimamente processada. As alfaces foram cultivadas hidroponicamente e a fonte de silício utilizada foi o silicato de potássio nas concentrações de 0; 28; 56; e 84mg L-1. Após a colheita, as folhas selecionadas foram lavadas em água corrente, semiprocessadas mediante o corte de 20mm de largura e sanitizadas por imersão em Sumaveg(r). Estas foram centrifugadas manualmente e acondicionadas em sacos de polipropileno, que, posteriormente, foram selados e armazenados a 3ºC e 85±3% de umidade relativa (UR). Durante 16 dias de armazenamento, foram avaliadas a cada quatro dias e em triplicata, a composição gasosa, a firmeza, o teor de clorofila e de acidez titulável, as atividades das enzimas polifenoloxidase e peroxidase e as análises microbiológicas. Até o 4odia de armazenamento, observaram-se reduções nos níveis de O2para todos os tratamentos, no entanto, para os níveis de CO2, houve aumentos percentuais de 5% no tratamento com 28mg L-1de silício. As maiores concentrações de silício mantiveram maior firmeza das folhas. Os teores de clorofila total se mantiveram estáveis durante o período de armazenamento. A atividade da enzima polifenoloxidase reduziu até o 8° dia. A atividade da peroxidase apresentou aumento durante o período avaliado, na concentração de 84mg L-1de silício. A contagem microbiana de coliformes termotolerantes e totais manteve-se baixa durante o armazenamento. A concentração de 84mg L-1de silício propiciou maior firmeza das folhas das alfaces minimamente processadas, deixando-as mais túrgidas e conservando sua vida útil por 16 dias This study aimed to verify the effect of silicon in hydroponics in postharvest of american 'Lucy Brown' lettuce minimally processed. Lettuces were grown hydroponically and silicon source used was potassium silicate at concentrations of 0, 28, 56 and 84mg L-1. After harvesting, the selected leaves were washed in tap water, and semiprocessed by cutting leaves 20mm wide, immersed in solutions Sumaveg(r). These leaves were centrifuged manually and packed in polypropylene bags, after, were sealed and stored at 3°C and 85±3% of relative humidity (RH). During 16 days of storage, leaves were evaluated every four days and in triplicate, gas composition, firmness, chlorophyll content and titratable acidity, activities polyphenol oxidase activities and peroxidase enzymes and microbiological analyzes. By the 4thday storage it was observed reductions in O2levels for all treatments. However, for levels of CO2, it was observed an increased percentage of 5% in the treatment with 28mg L-1of silicon. The highest concentrations of silicon in the leaves mantained higher firmness. Total chlorophyll remained stable during the storage period. Enzyme polyphenoloxidase activity reduced until the 8thday. Peroxidase activity showed an increase during the study period at a concentration of 84mg L-1 silicon. Microbial counts of thermotolerant coliforms remained low during storage. A concentration of 84mg L-1silicon provided greater firmness of minimally processed leaves of lettuce making them more turgid and preserving its useful life for 16 days

O Pará tem se destacado de maneira efetiva na consolidação do Plano Nacional de Formação de Professores da Educação Básica, com o trabalho desenvolvido pelo Fórum Estadual Permanente de Apoio à Formação Docente, que desde 2009 vem possibilitando a formação em nível superior a milhares de professores que atuam em escolas do estado e dos municípios. Esse trabalho tem sido reconhecido em âmbito nacional pela responsabilidade das ações e pela experiência que tem adquirido na formação de professores, o que faz com o Programa, no estado do Pará, apresente condições para a análise de sua repercussão na formação docente. Com o objetivo de analisar essas ações, a Coordenação Estadual da Associação Nacional pela Formação dos Profissionais da Educação desenvolve uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa com base em Lüdke e André, 1986, integrando-se à desenvolvida em âmbito nacional, coordenada pelo Núcleo de Pesquisa dessa entidade, que pretende revelar as configurações e impactos da implementação dos Fóruns Estaduais. Iniciada em meados de 2015, a pesquisa está estruturada em duas fases, constituindo-se a primeira de uma análise dos principais documentos que estabelecem as ações e atividades do Fórum do Pará, no período de 2009 a 2012. O artigo tem o propósito de mostrar como o Fórum tem atuado no sentido de garantir a formação docente no estado, conforme disposto nos documentos fundamentais da Política Nacional de Formação de Profissionais do Magistério da Educação Básica.Palavras-chave: ANFOPE. PONTIFÍCIA UNIVERSIDADE CATÓLICA DO RIO DE JANEIRO O desenvolvimento de campos de petróleo afeta significativamente o meio geológico ao redor do reservatório. Os efeitos geomecânicos decorrentes da exploração podem ser nocivos à integridade de componentes presentes no sistema, notadamente os poços. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar os efeitos do desenvolvimento do reservatório sobre a integridade de poços, empregando simulações de natureza fluido-mecânica e multi-escala. Para as análises globais, foi implementada e validada uma configuração de acoplamento fluido-mecânico parcial, utilizando o programa de simulação de reservatórios IMEX e o programa de análise de tensões ABAQUS, baseada na metodologia de acoplamento parcial desenvolvida pelo Grupo de Tecnologia e Engenharia de Petróleo da PUC-Rio. A conexão teórica entre modelos de poço e reservatório foi estabelecida através de um workflow multi-escala, desenvolvido para nortear a análise de integridade de poços em virtude dos efeitos de produção. Para a otimização da conexão numérica entre os modelos de diferentes escalas, foi desenvolvido um módulo gerenciador de análises locais, denominado Módulo APOLLO, capaz de incluir na simulação local as etapas de perfuração e completação do poço, bem como os efeitos geomecânicos provenientes da simulação global acoplada. Análises acopladas e multi-escala foram realizadas em dois poços hipotéticos, presentes em um modelo de reservatório com a geometria do Campo de Namorado. Através das ferramentas desenvolvidas nesta Tese, foi possível realizar uma previsão detalhada e precisa do mecanismo que levou os poços avaliados ao colapso. Constatou-se que o caráter dos estados limites observados foi essencialmente tridimensional, bem como dependente da abordagem de acoplamento empregada na simulação global. The development of petroleum fields affects substantially the geological environment around the reservoir. The geomechanical effects arising from hydrocarbon exploration may present harmful effects on the integrity of the system components, particularly the wells. The aim of this work was to analyze the reservoir development effects over the well integrity, employing fluid-mechanical and multi-scale simulations. For the global analyzes, it was implemented and validated a fluid-mechanic partial coupling configuration, using the reservoir simulation software IMEX and the stress analysis software ABAQUS, based on the coupling methodology developed by the Group of Technology and Petroleum Engineering of PUC-Rio. The theoretical connection between the models of reservoir and wells was established by a multi-scale workflow, which was developed to guide the well integrity analysis due to production effects. In order to optimize the numerical connection between distinct scale models, it was developed a local analysis manager, called APOLLO module, which can include the steps of drilling and completion, as well as the geomechanical effects from the global simulation, in the local simulations. Coupled multi-scale analyzes were performed in two hypothetical wells, present in a reservoir model based on the geometry of the Namorado Field. Through the tools developed in this Thesis, it was possible to perform a detailed and accurate prediction of the mechanism that leads the evaluated wells to the collapse. It was found that the character of the observed limit states was essentially three-dimensional, as well as dependent of the coupling approach employed on the global simulation.
