U radu se istražuju razlozi zbog kojih u Hrvatskoj nakon demokratskih promjena, unatoč mnogim aktivnostima udruga civilnoga društva i same Crkve, nema neradne nedjelje za one djelatnosti koje nisu nužne za održavanje redovitoga života društva i države. Analizom biblijskih tekstova koji govore o »šabatu« ili o sedmom danu te uspoređivanjem iskustva izlaska izraelskoga naroda iz egipatskoga sužanjstva, jer Bog zahtijeva prinošenje žrtve u slobodi, s naporima današnjih vjernika u Hrvatskoj da nedjelju proslave neradno i u slobodi pokazuje se iz vjerničke perspektive razlika između biblijske matrice i sadašnjih neuspješnih pokušaja. Naime u Bibliji je jasan naglasak na pravu i dužnosti vjernika da prvotno iskažu slavu Bogu, iz čega proizlazi sloboda i odmor, dok se u današnjim pokušajima više naglašava, ne ispuštajući prethodno, pravo na odmor, obiteljsko zajedništvo i sl., The paper investigates reasons why after the democratic changes in Croatia, despite many activities of civic organizations and the Church itself, there is no work-free Sunday for those professions that are not indispensable for maintaining the regular life of society and the state. The difference between the biblical stencil and current failed attempts is shown from the perspective of believers, through the analysis of biblical texts that speak of the »Sabbath« or the seventh day, and the comparison between the experience of the Israeli people coming out of Egyptian captivity, because God demands offering sacrifice in freedom, and the ef-forts of believers in Croatia today to celebrate Sunday work-free and in freedom. Namely, in the Bible, there is a clear emphasis on the right and duty of believers to first give glory to God, which then allows freedom and rest, while today’s attempts, without omitting the former, emphasize the right to rest, family togetherness and the like.

Članak se bavi problematikom darovitosti i dara života. Apsolutna pretpostavka svake darovitosti je sam život. Pitanje je kako razumjeti sam ljudski život i njegovo porijeklo te koje su posljedice takvog razumijevanja ljudskog života na stvarnost darovitosti, njezino prihvaćanje i realizaciju. U članku će biti riječ o nastanku života kojeg možemo općenito razumjeti na tri načina: 1) kao posljedicu slučajnog evolucijskog procesa bez ikakvog cilja i svrhe; 2) kao posljedicu vlastitog samostvaranja (sui generis) i 3) kao posljedicu nakane inteligentnog bića da se iz obilja svoga života po ljubavi daruje svome stvorenju s ciljem postignuća punoga, smislenog i sretnog života. Drugu mogućnost moramo odbaciti kao nerealnu, a treću izabiremo kao onu koja omogućuje najbolju realizaciju pojedinih nadprosječnih sposobnosti. U članku ćemo naglasiti da Isusova prispodoba o talentima nameće obvezu darovanima da potpuno iskoriste svoje talente prema veličini primljenog dara. Zakopati talent u zemlju znači ne poštovati darovatelja i ne ostvariti sve svoje potencijale. Naime, Pavlov govor o karizmama otkriva smisao dara kao služenja dobru drugih i zajednice u cjelini, a ne samo osobne realizacije. Ako je čovjek od sebe ili produkt slučaja nema nikakve odgovornosti prema svojoj darovitosti, ništa ne mora, nema nikakve obveze, nikakve dužnosti jer sa svojim može raspolagati kako hoće dotle da dar može i uništiti. Život kao dar i ostvarenje života kroz darivanje ima svoje temeljno uporište u Bogu samome koji je trojstvena relacija ljubavi, darivanja i zajedništva (caritas, donum et communio)., The absolute prerequisite of every talent is life itself. The question is how to understand the human life and its origin and the consequences of such an understanding of human life on the reality of talent, its acceptance and realization. The emergence of life can be generally understood in three ways: 1) as a result of a random evolutionary process without any goal and purpose, 2) as a result of its own self-creation (sui generis) and 3) as a result of the intention of an intelligent being which out of the abundance of his life by love gives himself to his creature so that it can attain full, meaningful and happy life. The second possibility we must reject as unrealistic, and the third one we select as the one that provides the best implementation of certain above-average abilities. Jesus' parable of the talents imposes an obligation to the bestowed ones to fully utilize their talents to the size of the gift received. Bury the talent on the country does not show respect to the giver and does not achieve full potential of the bestowed. Paul's speech on the charisma reveals the meaning of the gift as a service to the good of others and the community as a whole, not only personal realization. If the man is of himself or if he is a product of chance he has no responsibility for his talents, no obligations, no duties because he can do whatever he wishes with his talents even to their destruction. Life as a gift and the realization of life through giving has its fundamental basis in God who is Trinitarian relationship of love, giving and communion. (caritas, donum et communio).

U radu se razmatra matrikula Bratovštine Presvetog Sakramenta u Zadru. Ta bratovština utemeljena je početkom 16. stoljeća. Sjedište joj je bilo u zadarskoj prvostolnici sv. Stošije. Matrikula bratovštine izložena je u Stalnoj izložbi crkvene umjetnosti (SICU) u sklopu Samostana benediktinki sv. Marije u Zadru. Na temelju kapitula i ostalih dokumenata zapisanih u matrikuli bratovštine u radu je razmotren povijesni prikaz štovanja Tijela Kristova u zadarskoj katedrali, na oltaru Presvetog Sakramenta te u samom gradu. Uz to, analizirani su ustrojstvo, djelovanje i ekonomska politika bratovštine. U skladu s postulatima moderne egdotike objavljen je prijepis temeljnih kapitula matrikule., The paper discusses the historical development of the Brotherhood of the Most Holy Sacrament in the Zadar Cathedral, the Church of St. Anastasia, based on the matriculation record kept in the Permanent Exhibition of Church Art in Zadar. The relatively early foundation of this fraternity in Zadar at the beginning of the 16th century, encouraged by the Florentine Franciscan Cherubino Vulastio during the Lenten sermons in 1505, bears witness that the people of Zadar nurtured Eucharistic piety in the wake of growing practice at the level of the universal Church. Its numerous members and reputation of the Brotherhood of the Most Holy Sacrament in Zadar testify to its importance not only through the prism of the celebration of the Eucharist but also in terms of social events within the commune in the 16th century. This is evident in the constellation of the administrative structure of the fraternity, which consisted of representatives of the three urban classes: the priestly, the aristocratic, and the civic. The brotherhood spread the spirit of Eucharistic devotion following the provisions of its own chapters and canonical provisions, under the regular supervision of the Venetian state authorities. In the mid 16th century, the Venetians reformed its statutes and adapted them to Venetian legislation, which was common practice in Dalmatian communes. The historical course of the Brotherhood of the Most Holy Sacrament in the Cathedral of St. Anastasia in Zadar, from its foundation to its decadence in the 19th century was marked by spiritual and material growth, in harmony with the socio-political and ecclesiastical events in a particular period, whose cause-and-effect relationships can be read in part from documents kept in fraternal registers.

Krajnji je cilj povijesnoga izlaska iz Egipta sklapanje saveza na Sinaju, a zemlja treba biti mjesto pravoga štovanja i pravednih odnosa među ljudima, u skladu s Božjim zakonom. U širem smislu, egzodus je izlaženje iz sebeljublja i lažnoga samoostvarenja prema slobodi i ostvarenju u Kristovu križu koji je savršeni egzodus. Ratzingerovo shvaćanje egzodusa ključ je za ispravno razumijevanje bivanja članom Crkve i inkulturacije koja ne znači raskulturiranje njezina složenog kulturnog identiteta. Isto tako, egzodus ima potencijal sinteze različitih vidova teologije inkarnacije i križa, kao i ispravnoga shvaćanja skolastičkoga aksioma »Gratia praesupponit naturam«. Pokušaje »povratka« unutar teologije oslobođenja i preko Assmannova »mojsijevskog razlikovanja« Ratzinger smatra retrogradnim procesima koji ne vode prema istini i toleranciji, nego prema diktaturi relativizma., The historical Exodus from Egypt has as its final goal the making of a covenant on Mount Sinai, while the Earth is to be a place of true worship and righteousness among people in harmony with God’s law. In the broader sense, the Exodus is the abandoning of self–love and of false self–realization in the walk toward freedom and self–realization in the Cross of Christ which is the perfect Exodus. Ratzinger’s grasp of the Exodus may be the key to a correct understanding of what it means to be a member of the Church and that of enculturation which, moreover, does not imply disenculturation of its complex cultural identity. Similarly, the Exodus has the potential to synthesise diverse views on Incarnation theology and on the theology of the Cross, and can facilitate a correct understanding of the scholastic axiom »Gratia praesupponit naturam.« »Return« attempts within liberation theology are considered by Ratzinger to be processes which do not lead to truth and tolerance, but rather to the dictatorship of relativism, and are therefore retrograde, as is also Assmann’s »Mosaic distinction«

U ovom radu prikazujemo neke od poteškoća suvremenih crkvenih pokreta kao što su teološki redukcionizam, elitizam, zloupotreba karizmi i sl. Kao odgovor na te pastoralne izazove njima suprotstavljamo smjernice Učiteljstva Crkve, ponajprije iz dokumenata Drugog vatikanskog koncila, a potom i iz ostalih dokumenata Crkve koji naglašavaju sudjelovanje laika u društvu i u Crkvi. Te smjernice nam mogu poslužiti kao kriteriji za evaluaciju crkvenih pokreta, ali i kao pastoralni modeli za prevladavanje tih napetosti. Prava narav crkvenih pokreta očituje se kroz odgovornost, vjernost, zajedništvo i ljubav.

U ovom radu prikazujemo neke od poteškoća suvremenih crkvenih pokreta kao što su teološki redukcionizam, elitizam, zloupotreba karizmi i sl. Kao odgovor na te pastoralne izazove njima suprotstavljamo smjernice Učiteljstva Crkve, ponajprije iz dokumenata Drugog vatikanskog koncila, a potom i iz ostalih dokumenata Crkve koji naglašavaju sudjelovanje laika u društvu i u Crkvi. Te smjernice nam mogu poslužiti kao kriteriji za evaluaciju crkvenih pokreta, ali i kao pastoralni modeli za prevladavanje tih napetosti. Prava narav crkvenih pokreta očituje se kroz odgovornost, vjernost, zajedništvo i ljubav., This article presents some of the difficulties of modern Church movements such as theological reductionism, elitism, abuse of charisms etc. In response to these pastoral challenges they oppose the guidelines of the Magisterium of the Church, especially in the documents of the Second Vatican Council, and then from other Churche documents that emphasize the participation of the laity in society and in the Church. These guidelines can serve as criteria for the evaluation of the Church movements, as well as pastoral models to overcome these tensions. The real nature of Church movements is manifested through the responsibility, loyalty, unity and love.

Iskustvo mučeništva svoga naroda i Crkve u Poljskoj pod komunističk –ateističkim režimom i osobno iskustvo mučeništva kroz atentat i bolest te slaganje s tradicionalnim crkvenim vrednovanjem mučeništva oblikovali su vlastiti odnos Ivana Pavla II. prema mučeništvu u njegovim enciklikama, pismima i pobudnicama. Za Papu je mučeništvo prije svega nasljedovanje Krista u sakramentalnom životu do potpunog suobličenja u nošenju križa i spremnosti na smrt. Mučeništvo je svjedočenje za istinu koje potpuno oslobađa čovjeka pred silnicima i moćnicima ovoga svijeta. Ono omogućuje čovjeku moralno djelovanje prema Božjem zakonu, bez kompromisa sa svijetom zbog nekog djelomičnog »dobra« te time savršeno humanizira čovjeka. Mučenici su za Papu najcjelovitiji svjedoci istine o postojanju. Mučeništvo je siguran put i najsnažniji dokaz mogućnosti prevladavanja čimbenika podjela u ekumenskim naporima za jedinstvom Crkve jer sve kršćanske zajednice imaju svoje mučenike za vjeru. Oni su stoga svjetlo i putokaz za novu evangelizaciju., That which shaped John Paul II’s personal relationship toward martyrdom in his encyclicals, letters and apostolic letters were the following: his experience of his people’s martyrdom and that of the Church in Poland under a Communis –atheist regime; his personal experience of martyrdom in the attempted assassination on his life; his illness and also his accord with the traditional ecclesial view of martyrdom. Martyrdom for the Pope was primarily the imitation of Christ in the sacramental life to the degree of complete conformity in carrying one’s Cross and one’s readiness to die. Martyrdom is bearing witness to the truth which sets man completely free in the face of aggression and power. It allows for man’s moral activity in relation to God’s law without compromise with the world in the name of some partial »good« and thus humanizes man in a perfect way. Martyrs are to the Pope the most perfect witnesses to the truth about existence. Martyrdom is a secure path and the most powerful proof that it is possible to overcome factors of division in the ecumenical efforts for the unity of the Church seeing as all Christian communities have their martyrs of the faith. They are therefore a light and signpost for the new evangelization.

Suvremeni čovjek doživljava svijet oko sebe kao neprobojnu mrežu različitih zbivanja koja na svoj način čine povijest čovječanstva. Ta ista povijest satkana je od bezbroj ljudskih sudbina koje se čovjeku možda katkada čine beznačajnima. To tako izgleda kada se povijest promatra konzumeristički. Iz nje se uzima samo ono što trenutno zatreba, a sve se ostalo odlaže u »koš za smeće«. Međutim, to je pogrešan pristup ljudskoj povijesti. Postoji i drukčiji način gledanja na povijesna zbivanja i njezino vrednovanje. Rahner smatra da ljudska povijest zadobiva potpuno drukčije obilježje kada Bog ima svoje mjesto u njoj. On smatra da se u mreži ljudskih zbivanja Bog pokazuje kao nedohvatljiva tajna. Što je Bog manje prisutan u ljudskoj svakodnevnoj povijesti, to ona postaje besadržajnija, bezvrijednija i predmetom manipulacije. Bez pravoga štovanja Boga u povijesti i sama religija postaje ideologija s mnoštvom izreka i zakona, propisa i običaja koji se pretvaraju u neprobojni zid koji priječi da se Božji tajanstveni glas čuje i prepozna. Unatoč svim ljudskim ograničenjima, Bog je nazočan u ljudskoj povijesti i to, kako Rahner naglašava, na simboličan način. Temeljni je simbol Boga Oca u ljudskoj povijesti Logos, stoga je teologija o Logosu u eminentnom smislu teologija simbola u pravome smislu te riječi. Logos je Očeva »riječ«, njegova savršena »slika«, odraz njegove biti, njegova izričajnost. U tom smislu, Logos je Očev »simbol«, istobitan s njime, a istovremeno različit od stvarnosti koju simbolizira.

Contemporary man experiences the world around him as an impenetrable network of diverse events which in their unique way constitute the history of mankind. Interwoven into this same history are countless human destinies which to us sometimes seem meaningless. Thus it appears to be when history is viewed in a consumeristic manner. We extract from it only that which we currently need and deposit all else into the »wastebin.« However, this is an incorrect approach to human history. There exists also another way of looking at historical events and assessing them. Rahner is of the opinion that human history receives a totally different mark when God has His place in it. He feels that God manifests Himself as an unattainable mystery in the network of human events. The less God is present in everyday human history, the less eventful, the less valuable it becomes. Also it becomes an object of manipulation. When there is no true devotion to God in history, even religion itself becomes an ideology with manifold mottos and laws, regulations and customs which become an impenetrable wall shutting out God’s mysterious voice, obstructing our ability to hear and discern it. Despite all human limitations. God continues to be present in human history, as Rahner stresses, in a symbolic way. The basic symbol for God the Father in human history is Logos. Therefore, the theology of Logos in its most eminent sense is the theology of symbols in the true sense of the word. Logos is the »Word« of the Father, His perfect »image«, a reflection of His essence, an expression of Himself. In this respect, Logos is the »symbol« of the Father, consubstantial with the Father, but still different from the reality which it symbolizes.
