Muchos son los autores que consideran la muerte como un tabú en la sociedad actual, pero desconocemos si esa percepción ha sido trasladada hasta la investigación sobre la muerte desde el punto de vista educativo. Para aclarar esta cuestión se plantea una revisión de las publicaciones en la última década en las bases de datos Dialnet y Scopus. Los resultados se analizaron desde un punto de vista cuantitativo y cualitativo en relación a las variables año de publicación, base de datos, modalidad de publicación, título de la revista, colectivo al que va dirigida la investigación, enfoque en relación a la Educación para la Muerte, recurso propuesto y tipo y sentido de la investigación. Los resultados apuntan a la publicación de trabajos sobre la materia de forma mantenida durante el periodo investigado, pero con una desigual presencia en función de que se trate de la base de datos Dialnet de mayor carácter divulgativo, o la base de datos Scopus con una intencionalidad relacionada con los estándares de calidad. Entre las conclusiones se destaca que la Educación para la Muerte no es una moda y mantiene el interés a lo largo de los años. No obstante, el peso que esta temática tiene en las bases de datos es reducido. Se propone la incorporación de perspectivas reflexivas y críticas además de las técnicas prácticas, así como iniciativas activas de difusión de este conocimiento., Many authors consider death as something taboo in present-day society, but we do not know if this perception has been carried over to research on death from the educational point of view. To clarify this question, a review of publications in the last decade in the Dialnet and Scopus databases is presented. The results were analyzed from a quantitative and qualitative point of view in relation to the parameters of publication year, database, publication modality, journal title, audience, approach to Education for Death, resources proposed, and type and direction of the research. The results point to the publication of studies regarding the subject matter maintained over the period investigated, but with an unequal presence depending on whether it is the Dialnet database of greater informative character, or the Scopus database whose intention is related to quality standards. Among the conclusions, it is highlighted that Education for Death not only is not fashionable, but also maintains the interest throughout the years. However, the importance of this theme in the databases is reduced. It is proposed to incorporate reflective and critical perspectives in addition to practical techniques, as well as active initiatives to disseminate this knowledge.

It has also been supported by a Jose Castillejo first author grant for young doctors, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science at the Centre for Education and Democratic Citizenship of the UCL Institute of Education, Reference Code CAS18/00365., Globalisation has brought about great social and economic impact, as well as great challenges. Major developments have taken place in the mobility of capital and, to a lesser extent, of goods; not so in the mobility of people seeking asylum due to persecution and war. This article approaches the phenomenon of migration, particularly of refugees, as learning content for early childhood. The research is presented from a qualitative approach based on the results of a project on this topic implemented in a rural school in Spain. The results of the data analysis reveal that children attribute external reasons, of survival, to the refugees’ forced departure from their country of origin. The children’s imaginary reproduces the social construction of adults on the status and situation of refugees, and they also show a critical attitude towards the violation of human rights and the abuse of fellow children. This paper analyzes the Spanish school principal figures and their future patterns of leadership and development, according to educational policies in Europe. The first part presents a comprehensive overview of the situation of school principals in Spain, according to the Spanish policy, in the second part, its real practice in a secondary school is evidenced based on the results of a conducted research. The tensions and dilemmas currently faced by school principals in Spain will be analyzed: pedago leadership versus management-oriented principals. The interviews carried out reveal the meaning that the different agents give to &ldquo, leadership&rdquo, A climate of trust and collaboration has been established between the management team, middle leaders and teaching staff, necessary conditions for the development of a shared school project and ensure its sustainability for achieve school improvement.

In the last few years, on our road towards the dreamed school, we have been repeatedly diverted to a cul-de-sac called quality. No doubt education is an extremely hot topic: in the same way nobody would be against quality health systems or quality nutrition, nobody would stand against quality education. This biased approach has stood behind the fact that the quality discourse has taken deep root in the socio-educative context, its language, its institutions and even legislation. This is a slow process, but a sure one, a market-led process. In this paper, we reflect on the subtle effects of the quality process, we try to counteract its distracting effect, and we have an insight into its origins, background and foundations.

This article describes an action research programme designed to resolve classroom problems, in preschool and primary education, related to the use of Spanish as a hegemonic language in a bilingual context in which students are from the Amazigh culture. The Alehop programme aims to motivate students to learn and the results demonstrate that this classroom innovation is possible. Moreover, the use of everyday life situations and typical problems helps and favours enquiry-based learning. Intercultural school life without violence is shown to be possible. Strategies include giving voice to the students, addressing relevant social issues, and creating an environment of trust and collaboration. An evaluation of the results validates a methodology that encourages cultural and linguistic diversity, and points to a need to respect the autonomy, freedom and human rights of students in politically and economically disadvantaged conditions. Empowerment is linked to the autonomy of students and teachers.

Las redes sociales constituyen un espacio de encuentros y singularidades para buena parte de la juventud española. Su irrupción está generando un gran debate, más o menos enfocado, sobre limitaciones, potencialidades, sinergias o problemáticas. Ante la profusión de elementos para el debate “desde arriba” (o quizá más bien “desde fuera”), nuestra aportación ha buscado adentrarse en la concepción que los jóvenes participantes tienen sobre las redes y su acción y desarrollo en las mismas. El fundamento indagador ha sido el máximo respeto en el procedimiento, posibilitando una toma de decisiones compartida en proceso evolutivo y evitando en lo posible sesgos distractores. Social networks are a place for meetings and singularities for much of the Spanish youth. Their emergence is generating an important debate, more or less focused, on constraints, potential synergies, or problems. Given the plethora of items for discussion "from above" (or perhaps rather "from outside"), our contribution has sought to delve into the concept that the young participants have of the networks and their action and development in them. The underlying reseach premise has been utter respect throughout the process to allow for a shared decision-making process of evolution and to avoid possible distracting biases.
