Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of the use of Quick Response (QR) code application among the tourists on their satisfaction at a destination regarding information about restaurants’ offer. Design/methodology/approach A quantitative method was implemented in this study. The field study was conducted in 2019 in the two most visited urban destinations in Serbia. The proposed model was examined using partial least squares, and the model fits, composite reliability and convergent validity were assessed. The direction and significance of the relationships were determined by testing all of the hypotheses. Findings The results showed that there was a positive effect of using QR codes. However, the study showed that a QR code cannot completely affect the overall satisfaction at a destination. The analysis of the control variables (age and economic status) showed that individual, demographic and economic factors must be taken into consideration to predict individuals’ behaviour. Research limitations/implications To enable the generalization of the results, it is advised to conduct research on cross-cultural levels. Future studies related to the topic could be conveyed in other forms of tourism, as well as in other industries, which would provide a better insight into the application of this technology in the future. Originality/value The study enables managers of tourism businesses, especially in hospitality, to better understand the importance of the use of a QR code at a destination as an important marketing tool for getting information, and thus to satisfy guests’ expectations.

In the context of the sanctions regime, the development of the national economy of Russia should be viewed from the angle of national economic security. The modern sanctions regime has begun and is still based on financial restrictions and prohibitions, which affects the need for a specific monetary policy of the country. In this regard, an important aspect of achieving the goals of national economic security are financial factors. As a methodological approach, the paper uses a descriptive approach to assess the relationship between the impact of the different channels of the transmission mechanism (welfare channel, exchange rate pass-through) and economic variables such as consumer demand. The contribution to the consumer price index of each of the three components is estimated: index of food products, index of non-food products and index of paid services. The significance of the contribution of the index of food products is revealed, which is confirmed by the results of regression analysis of the dependence of consumer prices on the exchange rate. The paper proposes a combination of inflation targeting and industrial production targeting to achieve a more significant effect of monetary policy implementation in the conditions of the sanctions regime and for the purposes of national economic security. Also, taking into account the significant contribution of changes in the exchange rate to the consumer price index, it is proposed to pay more attention to the impact of the Bank of Russia on the exchange rate.

The present study investigated whether the crypto market is a safe haven. The study argues that during the first wave of the COVID-19 crisis, gold and oil, as typical global commodities, could have been diversifiers. The study developed a unique COVID-19 global composite index that measures COVID-19 pandemic time-variant movements on each day. The study used OLS (ordinary least squares), quantile, and robust regressions to check whether the COVID-19 crisis has had any significant direct influence on the crypto market. The OLS, quantile, and robust regressions estimates confirmed that there was no statistically significant direct influence of the COVID-19 crisis on the crypto market in the first wave period. However, the study found spillovers from risky assets (S&amp, P 500) on the crypto market, with Tether as an exception. Due to this special characteristic, Tether might present a safe haven within the crypto market.

The article presents the original criteria-based approach to sharing risks between participants in a risk-divided partnership between government and business in high-tech industries. This is built on the basis of quantitative and qualitative criteria. They take into account the adaptation of each specific project to the conditions of the external and internal environment. A typology of the levels of the organizational and economic mechanism of risk management of a risk-divided partnership is proposed; and a functional matrix of typological levels is developed. The authors additionally discuss such an element of the mechanism as the formation of targeted enlarged groups (TEG) of risks in the implementation of a risk-divided partnership between the state and business in high-tech industries.

Infrastructure and tourism is gradually increasing along the China&ndash, Russia border with the development of the China&ndash, Mongolia&ndash, Russia economic corridor. Facing the issues of thermal comfort and rainstorm-flood risk in the neighborhood area between China and Russia, we constructed homologous evaluation models to analyze spatial regularity and internal variations of their effect. Among the results, approximately 55% of the area was classified into the categories of &ldquo, comfort&rdquo, and &ldquo, high comfort&rdquo, in summer. Oppositely, the situation of most areas in winter corresponds to physical discomfort. On the other hand, the high-risk area of rainstorm-flood in spring and summer is principally located in the northern and southern regions, respectively, while this is further expanded in autumn. After that, the risk level turns to medium and low. Subsequently, a comprehensive assessment coordinate system of the two results was constructed to identify the distribution pattern of a seasonal suitable area for traveling in binary ways. The evaluation shows that Great Khingan Range in the north-western Heilongjiang province is the preferable place among most of seasons, especially in summer. While on the Russian side, the corresponding area is mainly spread over its southern coastal cities. The study is expected to provide recommendations for reasonable year-round travel time, space selection, and risk decision support for millions of people traveling between China and Russia.

This paper studies the efficiency of the impact of oil price, key interest rate and inflation on the exchange rates in the Russian Federation. The authors researched the effect of oil prices and other economic variables on the currency rate of dollar to ruble. The regression model has accurately shown this interrelation. The impact of macroeconomic variables and close interrelation between the exchange rate of dollar to ruble and oil prices is revealed. Oil price is a dominating factor in a exchange rate mechanism in Russia. When world oil prices are stabilized and sanctions are cancelled, currency fluctuations and uncertainty will be minimized. The monetary policy of Russian Central bank is to become less rigid, but focused on decrease of the inflation rate and on stabilization of national currency rate.

To prepare for modernisation at the level of an individual enterprise or the entire industry as a whole, the information about the possible direction and speed of market development is needed, so it is necessary to carry out the forecasting procedure. This article is devoted to short-term forecasting of the possible direction of development of the industry in the Russian economy. The article is based on the use of such tools as groups of financial multipliers, which are formed at the intersection of the production and stock dimensions of the industry. The proposed financial multipliers are considered in the dynamics, and the received signals from the proposed indicators are combined and compared with the dynamics of the development of stock instruments (stock value or the value of the industry index) in the process of assessing the quality of the received forecast
