Privacy risk in Online Social Networks has become an important social concern. Users, with different perceptions of risk, share information without considering the audience that has access to the information disclosed or how far a publication will go. According to this, we propose two metrics (Audience and Reachability) based on information flows and friendship layers that indicate the privacy risk of sharing information, addressing the posts’ scope and invisible audience. We assess these metrics through agent simulations in well-known models of networks. The findings show a strong relationship between metrics and structural centrality network properties. We also studied scenarios where there is no previous information about users activity or the information about the traces of the messages cannot be obtained. To deal with privacy assessment in these scenarios, we analyze the relationship between the proposed privacy metrics and local centrality properties as an estimation of privacy risk. The results showed that effectiveness centrality can be used as a suitable approximation of the proposed privacy measures.

One of the main current challenges of electric vehicles (EVs) is the creation of a reliable, accessible and comfortable charging infrastructure for citizens in order to enhance demand. In this paper, a multi-agent system (MAS) is proposed to facilitate the analysis of different placement configurations for EV charging stations. The proposed MAS integrates information from heterogeneous data sources as a starting point to characterize the areas where charging stations could potentially be placed. Through a genetic algorithm, the MAS is able to analyze a large number of possible configurations, taking into account a set of criteria to be optimized. Finally, the MAS returns a configuration with the areas of the city that are considered most appropriate for the establishment of charging stations according to the specified criteria.

The number of people using on-line social networks as a new way of communication is continually increasing. The messages that a user writes in these networks and his/her interactions with other users leave a digital trace that is recorded. Thanks to this fact and the use of network theory, the analysis of messages, user interactions, and the complex structures that emerge is greatly facilitated. In addition, information generated in on-line social networks is labeled temporarily, which makes it possible to go a step further analyzing the dynamics of the interaction patterns. In this article, we present an analysis of the evolution of user interactions that take place in television, socio-political, conference, and keynote events on Twitter. Interactions have been modeled as networks that are annotated with the time markers. We study changes in the structural properties at both the network level and the node level. As a result of this analysis, we have detected patterns of network evolution and common structural features as well as differences among the events.

Different studies have shown the benefits of a cooperative activities programme for the elderly. Members of a group with similar abilities or disabilities are often encouraged by having the opportunity to share their experiences, knowledge, or opinions. Nevertheless, when caregivers try to plan specific cooperative activities, different aspects, as the individual needs of each person, should be taken into account, which notably increases the complexity of that planification. This paper proposes a computer-based support tool for recreational therapists which facilitates the management task of grouping elderly people into cooperative groups for existing activities. To do this, an iterative learning process is proposed allowing the formation of proper distributions of elderly people into activities.
